Just got back from my first ever eye exam, can't say I was super excited but the front desk staff were great, the appointment was organized and quick, and Dr. Fossey was very professional and gave me clear answers to all of my questions, as well as solutions to my eye strain issues. Certainly not as scary as I was expecting, overall good experience.

I have been blind as a bat for as long as I can remember and I have had several optometrists Long the way, when my last optometrist became ill and could no longer work they recommended me to Dr. Fossey, I have never had a better experience at an optometrist in my life. The staff is kind and patient, everyone of the optometrists in the practice offers the same patience and assistance as the next. I have never written a review before but after seeing some of the disgruntled comments I felt I needed to set things straight. The Niagara vision team does absolutely everything in their power to get things right and make sure the glasses provided work best for the customer. My mother bought some new progressive glasses and when they didn't work out the Niagara Vision team helped to remedy this at no extra cost. I will continue to go here for my service and I would recommend them to anyone who asked.

I have been a client of Dr. Fossey since before 2015. Up until recently I was an ardent supporter of her services. that changed drastically recently. I visited her office for an eye examination and was given a new prescription for glasses. After several attempts over a period of over a month her office was unable to fit me with glasses that did not hurt my eyes and gave me head aches. I finally gave up and went to another eye glass dispenser. After receiving my new glasses here I continued to have the same problem and they suggested for me to go back to Dr. Fossey to confirm the accuracy of the prescription. Upon contacting her office I was told that because I did not purchase my glasses from her there would be a charge of $50.00 for the exam. I explained the issue which resulted me getting my glasses elsewhere but to no avail. while it is not the $50.00 but the principal of the issue and I firmly believe that the exam should be at no cost given what I went through. Needles to say I will no longer support Dr. Fossey and will not be her patient in the future nor will I recommend her to anyone.

Great experience from the moment I walked in the door! The entire team is extremely helpful and listens to your concerns. I am so happy with my new glasses, Dr. IIdiko Fossey is amazing, she answered all my questions and ensured I understood everything going on my with eyes. I have required glasses for the majority of my life, I am glad that I happened to book an appointment with the team at Niagara Vision shortly after moving from New Brunswick. Dr.Fossey and in particular her staff were very patient and efficient in dealing with my very elderly friend that I brought to the office today. She is very hard of hearing and because of her advanced age is now more comfortable having me attend all of her medical appointments with her. She is like a second mother to me and I care about her very much, wanting only what is best for her. When dealing with Dr. Fossey's staff I tried my best to help my long time friend to understand why she might want to consider doing a test that might cost her an extra $50 (ultimately her insurance did cover it) when she initially didn't seem to understand the reason for it. I also helped with her mobility in and around the office and also tried to help clarify a few other issues for her with the staff. The staff were all lovely and patient with my friend and seemed not to be at all put off by my interactions between them and my friend. Not so with Dr. Fossey. Although she was extremely patient, efficient and understanding with my friend she failed terribly when it came to extending the same courtesy to me. I literally spoke once in her examining room with my friend and she turned to me and told me "that I could sit there and be quiet or go and sit out in the other room." I am appauled to have been spoken to in such a condescending manner and can only say that I am grateful that my friend wasn't able to hear this rude dismissal. Dr.Fossey could benefit from sensitivity training to understand how impactful the outcomes of these appointments are not only on her elderly patients but also on the people who love and help to care for them. We are not just their drivers. We are their supporters and their friends. From your office, we continue with them to the next doctor, surgery, follow up appointments, lunch, shopping, celebrations and on and on and on.....

I have been a patient of Dr. Jordan van der Zalm at this location for over a year and have nothing but good things to say. All of the staff are friendly, professional and knowledgable. The receptionists quickly answer any questions, including through email (which is great for busy people). Dr. Jordan van der Zalm is very professional, always greeting you with a handshake and making a point of remembering you. He thoroughly explains the reasons within the work done and treats you as intellegable. (A stark contrast to how most M.D.s and family doctors treat patients.) I highly recommend the services of this location.

I recently purchased my first pair of glasses in 10 years from Niagara Vision. I cannot say enough about how positive my experience was. After shopping around for several weeks I went into Niagara vision. The girls who work in the office were extremely helpful, patient, and were able to give me informed advice based on my prescription. They were able to help me choose something that worked for my prescription, but also something very fashionable that I loved. I am extremely happy with the quality of the glasses and lenses I received. They have a huge selection compared with other offices, and offer many brands that I could not find elsewhere! All in all, amazing service, very friendly and welcoming staff, and super high quality!

Dr. Fossey has provided top notch care to my elderly father. She came up with an affordable solution for glasses by using his existing frames. All of the features of his lenses order, including costs where carefully reviewed by the professional staff and he received his new glasses in a timely fashion. In addition, Dr. Fossey’s compassionate care was evident, as she made a referral to a specialist to surgically correct his drooping eyelids. Keeping my father’s vision at an optimal level means that he can live independently in his nineties. My father and I are so grateful to the Niagara Vision team and highly recommend this service.

The charge Dr. van der Zalm imposes to e-mail a second copy of a prescription amounts to robbery. The $11.20 charge could be waived as a courtesy to clients. Given the office will likely spend no more than 1 minute to have the script re-signed and e-mailed, how do they justify the charge? The office may be within its legal right to issue only one copy of the prescription without additional charge but the practice doesn't meet my service standard.

The dispensary has a great selection of fashionable glasses to pick from! I saw Dr Hooseinny who was thorough, professional and took his time explaining everything while performing my eye exam! I have no complaints when it comes to the eye exam, they did great in that area, my only concern is the overpricing of their products and services. Ive been to a few eye clinics and by far they are the most expensive one and not by a small margin. Selections are limited as well. Other clinics offer 80$ regular eye exam and 110$ comprehensive exam with cheaper frames and lenses with more options of brands to choose from. I also felt ridiculed by the person who assisted me for choosing my eyewear, i will not spend top buck for something that is only optional for me to use and the receptionist made me feel that its a waste time for me to look around for something that i will not be able to afford for giving them a budget range that is only covered by my insurance. I took my script and went back to my old eye clinic and they were happy to assist me and work with my budget. I only went to niagara vision because its closer to my place and i wanted to give it a try. But now that i know, im not coming back and wont even recommend. But feel free to try out of curiosity and if overpriced spending is not an issue for you.

I have been to a few eye doctors in the past but nothing compares to NIAGARA VISION! They care, give you full attention and are honest and trustworthy! My eyes feel better and the world is clear! Even in these crazy pandemic times their business is spot on in cleanliness and have taken all precautions to make you feel safe and at ease! You need to stop where you're going and come to NIAGARA VISION! They have gained 6 people. Myself, my mom, my sister, my fiancé and soon my son and daughter! I cannot say enough! Eyes are very important and they need care and attention like the rest of our parts! Dr. Jordan van der zalm is very knowledgeable, and thorough. Also very friendly and you can tell he really cares about a person's health. I had a major eye exam due to some health problems and he did everything he could to try to help me with my headaches and to try to get any clues as to what's going on with me.
