Did not feel I was treated fairly here. Dr. Bachra seemed nice at first but in the end, was insincere and unkind in her mannerisms. Did not explain the process clearly and I was 'passed off' several times to others, less unwilling to deal with me so they could get down to brass tax and up-selling me for anything they could. I think everyone is trying to do their best here, especially the admin staff but I have had better experiences elsewhere.

These eye doctors are really good. Come in, got my eye exam and my Optometrist was kind, thoughtful and then I discovered they even have eye specialists here. I met the young eye specialist on my way out - super nice guy. But the reason I am writing this review is because I came in, spent over an hour looking at Versace, Gucci, and some Christian Dior frames and the woman who helped me was so patient and kind. I am impressed. This is my new eye clinic and eyeglass store from NOW ON! So very nice and I love supporting good and nice people who treat me fairly and give me great service.

I am so happy to have found Lifetime Eyecare. Dr. Bachra & her staff provide friendly, professional service at a very reasonable price. In the past, I've visited several costly optometrists in downtown Vancouver who didn't seem to have the time or expertise to help me. In contrast, Dr. Bachra listened to my concerns, updated my prescription correctly, and suggested replacements for my discontinued brand of contact lenses that were a perfect fit on the first try. Dr. Bachra is amazing with kids I took my 3.5 yr old and my 6 year old for eye check-ups. She knows how to make them feel comfortable and no anxious about an eye exam. Her ladies at the front desk are amazing as well. Very helpful and calm.

Great place - I have been to many eye clinics and doctors in the past and I was pleasantly surprised when I went in for my eye exam a few weeks ago.The staff was excellent. They spent their time with me and explained everything in detail. I ended up getting a new pair of glasses with digital lenses and the best glare coating. My vision has never been better! Thanks!

Love Dr. Bachra - I had my eye exam here for the first time. She took her time and explained what was happening with my eyes, and then at the end of the appointment, she had my prescription provided to me without my asking - no hassle. I have been to some optometrist offices where they try to make you buy your eyeglasses or contact lenses from them by not providing a prescription, but there was no high pressure sales here. I looked at their frames and they were great, but I have a wide face and find getting the right glasses difficult so I like to shop around. They were not pushy whatsoever and I really appreciate that. It makes me want to buy my contacts and glasses from them. Thumbs up. Will be back.

Visited Lifetime Eyecare today with a problem.My computer glasses were broken and I dropped by,to see if they can be repaired or need new frames. They did my original prescription. Greeted as usual by friendly staff in front, I was escorted to Tina's desk. Tina is an Optician and she thought maybe she could fix my glasses. And she did! Wow! She managed to find the part and when I asked how much I owed she said, nothing. That is why I am a regular customer here. They look after you. If you ever needed an Optician that treats you fairly, You have to give this place a try. You will love the service.

Before going to Lifetime Eyecare, I was extremely concern about my eyes. I went to a near by Optometrist prior and had such a terrible experience. Thanks to Dr Bachra, I finally found a great doctor who is truly passionate about what she does, and cares about her patients. She answered all my questions, calmed my worries and anxiety, and was able to identify the issue causing my eyes to dry. She also had great recommendations. If I could give her 10 stars I would. The girls at the front desk were also courteous and treated me very well. My overall experience at Lifetime Eyecare was excellent. Thank you again.

Went in to get my eyes checked because of a recommendation from a friend and was surprised at the quality of service compared to my normal optometrist office. The testing was more thorough and the exam and lens I got were cheaper because I'm a student. Also unlike my normal optometrist office the staff at Lifetime actually helped me pick out a frame!

My family and I have been long-time, loyal, customers at Lifetime Eyecare. We have been going there since the early nineties. In the earlier years Dr Bachra was a kind person and so was her staff there were very hospitable and helpful. However, over the course of the past two years, she has become very rude and strange. For instance, instead of handing the prescription to my mother in her hand, like a civilised human being she left the prescription idly on the counter without telling her. My mother left and realised that she had not received her order. When my mother later called the receptionist asking about the whereabouts of her prescription, the receptionists she snarkily replied: "She left it's on the counter!" The tone which this woman was talking to my mother on the phone was as if she has asked her such an absurd question. My mother was asking this because NO ONE had told her that the prescription was left on the counter. How would she know that if it was never communicated to her? Furthermore, the staff members watched my mother walk about the door without her prescription. They didn't even have the common decency to inform her about it. Ever since that incident things have continued to go downhill. The reviews mentioning her rude and tactless staff are true. She hires family friends loved ones to work as her receptionists. This is a bit questionable because some of these young girls don't seem to have the credentials to be carrying out the tasks that they are doing. In addition, Dr Bachra is not personable or kind. There is a sense that from the moment you walk in Lifetime Eyecare that you're a burden for the entire staff. I am paying you for my services. I am not getting your services for free you are getting PAID. My mother and I left, and now we got to a fantastic optometrist where the staff and doctors are excellent, compassionate, kind and friendly. The doctor after seeing what Dr Bachra had prescribed for me informed me that she made a mistake and had incorrectly made my right contact lens stronger than what it needed to be! Can you believe that! Save your money, time and effort. Lifetime Eyecare has lost its lustre. You can tell that everyone is only in it so that they can maximise profits. It feels like a business. The compassion and helpfulness were lost a long time ago. The final straw for me was the incorrect prescription of my contact lens. So happy that my family is in better hands now with people who genuinely care!

How low do you have to be in a business to start defaming and insulting other clinics near by? Doesn't take a genius to google search optometrist nearby and see the owner Paul Slusher leaving fake and poor reviews for other clinics. Since he admits to not going to those clinics in his reviews, I suppose I'm doing the same by leaving this one. Between this and the fake review the owner leaves themselves I would be pretty cautious of going to this place. I took my business to another place near by. There's like 4. Take your pick, just not this one.

I can't say enough good things about the excellent customer service. I had an urgent problem with my right eye the other day and called the optical. Dawn answered the phone and was extremely courteous and helpful and told me to come right over even though I did not have an appointment. When I arrived, Dawn was again very helpful and within 30 minutes I saw Dr. Diep who reassured me my problem was minor and nothing to be worried about. Dr. Diep is a wonderful doctor, very friendly and professional. I feel so fortunate to have this kind of customer service right in my neighbourhood!

Had a genuinely unpleasant and troubling experience just visiting a neighbouring business. A lineup outside the neighbouring business (due to COVID-19 protocols) was in the wrong place, in front of Lifetime's door. But rather than asking politely or with any kind of neighbourly politeness, we were told, "Get away from my door," in a voice drenched in disdain and condescension. When I am in need of eye care, I will look elsewhere. New Westminster is a place where people are (mostly) nice to one another and considerate and understanding of neighbours. Not here, it would seem.

I was in search for an optometrist, and a friend of mine recommended Lifetime Eyecare in New Westminster. Which was very convenient for me. I easily set up an appointment that work great with my schedule. Dr.Bachra was extremely thorough through the eye exam. As I did learn that my eyesight has changed.. With their well organized establishment I was able to do one-stop shop!! I must have tried on about 40+ pairs of glasses, with the help of their friendly and honest staff. I was able to find a couple of pairs that worked for me! As I was about to purchase them, Paul approached me to see if I was happy with their wide selection of eye wear. He also provided his honest approval on how well the glasses I chose fit and brought out my eyes.They made the process so seamless. I would highly recommend Lifetime Eyecare to anyone, including my family and friends. If you are in search for an optometrist you will not be disappointed. Look forward to my next visit in purchase for sunglasses.

Lifetime Eyecare is the only optometrist that I've ever used. I started seeing Dr. Moore when he was in the Woodward's store and followed them into their stand-alone storefront location. When Dr. Moore retired, he couldn't have found anyone better than Dr. Bachra to take over the business. I've found all of the staff, from optometrists, to technicians, to front desk extremely friendly and professional ... and who go out of their way to ensure customer service and satisfaction. I wouldn't go anywhere else and would highly recommend Lifetime Eyecare to anyone who wants to be treated like a somebody!

This is the best eye care place in New West. They are so thorough and extremely attentive. You never feel rushed when you ask all the questions and they are great about discussing all available options for you. This is the first eye doctor I have seen that was able to properly diagnose my condition and tell me the best way to treat it. for 30+ years I was told that I had a macular degeneration. Turns out that is not at all what it is & they immediately gave me the proper prescription for glasses. I could not be happier. I will never go anywhere else for exams, glasses, contacts etc. Always feel so well taken care of by Dr. Bachra and her entire team.

My husband and I have been coming to Lifetime Eyecare for years. This is by far the best eyecare experience we have ever had. Dr. Bachra is very detailed with each examination. She is genuine, caring and attentive. The entire staff is pleasant, helpful and respectful of our time. We also need the care of an Ophthalmologist and Dr. Diep is exceptional. In the past, I have been to other retinal specialists where the experience was very demoralizing and the wait time could be as long as 1-2 hours. Dr. Diep is totally different; he is personable and open. The appointments are always on time and conducted with care and efficiency. I now live in Vancouver but I will always come back to Lifetime Eyecare for all my eye care. You really are the best! Thank you!

I just returned to Lifetime Eyecare in New Westminster again this week to get my annual eye exam. Lifetime Eyecare gets 5 Stars on every level! Great eye doctors, nice knowledgeable staff, HUGE eyeglass and sunglass collection. They are the best. My entire family doesn't go anywhere else. Do I write reviews online? No - not usually. But really they are my favorite store and we love their eyeglasses! Let me tell you my daughters are hard to please.
