Here you have the feddbacks of people who purchased the products and services of Wyse Eyecare (Ophthalmologist) in the area of Moosonee (Canada).
At present the business receives a score of 4.5 stars over 5 and that score is based on 65 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is almost the best one, and it's founded on a very large number of scores, so we may be pretty sure that the rating is very accurate. If many people have bothered to leave their feddback when they are satisfied with the business, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to put scores when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Ophthalmologist belongs to the category of Ophthalmologist.
Dr. Wyse defines what the role of a professional should be. I agree with all the above statements regarding her service and results, but most importantly I totally trust her. Highly recommended!!
Even though the wait was long it was definitely Worth the wait . You Didn’t feel like a number there. Dr Took her time to go over & perform all test necessary .
I like Dr Wyse. She is a really good doctor. However, the receptionist’s attitude is very bad. I called this morning to schedule an appointment. She asked me if I am existing patient. Yes, I am a existing patient. She scheduled me to July 31. (Today is May 7th) I asked her if there any early time that I can get into. She said, NO, but you can go see other doctor. Well, is this the right manner to your clients/patients????????????????
Best and most thorough eye care from Wyse Eye care. I feel I am in the best hands with Dr. Wyse.
Dr. Wyse is a gifted surgeon. She performed surgeries on both of my eyes successfully. I had complete confidence in her abilities along with those of her staff. Everyone was friendly and polite. I highly recommend her practice.
i wish I could give Dr. Wyse six stars (or ten). I consulted two other doctors before she was recommended to me, and she is, by far, the best. Like many people, as soon as I heard I needed cataract surgery, I thought, "Nope. Nope, nope, nope. I'll just get used to the fuzzy images." I was supposed to have the surgery two years ago, then Covid became a convenient excuse. My cataract got so bad that I wasn't even seeing ANY images in one eye (just a world of snow, like a TV after the programming had ended for the night in my childhood). Even though Dr. Wyse was totally booked up, she requested to have my surgery moved up a month, because the cataract had gotten so dense. I was nervous because articles on the Internet say that when a cataract gets to that point, the surgery is no longer routine, and there's a greater chance of complications. However, the surgery went smoothly, my results are sensational, and I'm sure it's because Dr. Wyse is such an expert. She and her office staff take great care of their patients, and it was actually a pleasant experience. The surgical center is low-key and personal, not some cold hospital-like place, and the recovery process is very easy---no pain, some burning because of the eye drops afterward, but going from TV snow to crisp, clear vision is a miracle. And the colors--I feel as if I am seeing a whole new world. I would recommend Dr. Wyse to anyone who is seeing fuzz (or snow). Don't wait.
Dr Tamara Wyse is the best doctor. She is extremely knowledgable, kind and caring. She is very responsive with issues and was able to help me when the 3 doctors before her could not diagnosis my eye issue. I am grateful I found her. I highly recommend Dr Wyse.
Hi, I have been a patient of Dr. Tamara Wyse for over 20 years now and she and her staff have always given me the "most excellent service and treatment, which I have also seen many times over the years to a lot of her other patients too!" I trust her, completely!!!!
I want to thank the people in this office. I called because my 95 year old mom is having radiation and her eyesight has gotten blurry. She needed to see someone soon (preferably today) per the Radiologist. I called 5 offices who all said basically "oh well, we can't see her until January". I called this office and the dear woman on the phone expressed concern, said we could at least come in at 7:30 (after hours) but she would have someone call back to see if we could find another time earlier. Then someone called back. This is how the healthcare system should be. I am dealing with many doctors and offices right now and find very few who actually remember that people are there sick and need kindness. So grateful there are some left that do care!
Wonderful Drs., caring staff.
She did both eyes for cataracts. Wonderful surgeon. So happy with the results. Went for a follow up 4 years later. I know long time. I waited For 2 1/2 hours .I had made my appointment ahead of time. Then she quickly apologized for the delay. Then proceeded to tell me I don't need to see her again. Going to lens crafters was totally acceptable. I was floored. Who would do that? I worked in doctors offices before and know the routine. But boy her lip gloss hair and make were flawless. Go figure?......
The physicians, Dr Wyse and Dr Bamba not only were expert in their field, but had great bedside manners. Staff and the clinic were run professionally. In the COVID era they were safe and swift. A very well run office and highly recommended.
I just completed cataract surgery in both eyes and couldn't be happier with my results. Dr. Tamara Wyse and her entire staff are incredible. Front office staff are friendly and professional. All the medical assistants that I met over the course of several months were highly skilled and professional. They cared about me and any questions or concerns I had. Dr. Wyse is a rare find in this world of medicine. Not only is she an extremely gifted doctor, but also amazingly personal and caring. I never minded if I waited because I knew she was taking the time to answer all my questions and address every issue with others like she did me. I am grateful I came to her for a second opinion as the results are amazing.
Dr. Tamara Wyse is an expert in her field. She is knowledgeable, kind, understanding, straight forward, and professional. I came to Dr. Wyse from Michigan, with minus 13 near sightedness. Though out my childhood, I was bullied harshly due to super thick glasses. With out my glasses or contact lenses on, all I could visualize were blobs of color (thus legally blind). Sadly I was not a candidate for Lasik eye surgery. Dr. Wyse took the time to work with me and create a plan for intraocular lens implants which I opted for her to perform. Since my surgery on both eyes (back in June 2018), not only can I see distance, but I can also read without glasses or contact lenses. *I am beyond grateful to Dr. Wyse and her wonderful staff for everything they have done for me and would highly recommend her for you too! Thank you Dr. Wyse for my sight!
Dr. Wyse as well as the other Doctors..Bamba, Tailor, Dray, and Pearlman are great doctors and very caring and just simply great...The horrible part of the office unfortunately is the administrative staff...I worked there for about 2 months and I am a commicated and dedicated worker who showed much interest into learning and exceeding and am 110% bilingual....until the turn off of the administrator of the office disrespected me and humiliated me in front of the rest of the staff. I then decided to leave Wyse EyeCare, the administrative staff need to really care about their staff (Barbara Tazioli and Heidi Spaw!!!) One clue or hint if you appreciate more your staff they won’t run nor leave... unprofessional to confront staff and put your finger gestures close to their face! I hope that Dr. Wyse is able to fix this issue if not she will be losing patients unfortunately! I’m not saying I’m the best because I have my flaws and all but I proved more than enough what I was capable of and much more but if you don’t appreciate your staff you won’t ever have a consistant nor a permanent staff...I’m sorry but it’s just the honest truth confrontation in front of staff members and in front of patience...even if you have more than 30 years experience looks very untidy and unprofessional! I hope and wish you the best Dr Wyse as well as your other Doctors!!! I left with great knowledge to promote elsewhere!!! Thanks!!! Yesenia
Best eye surgeon in this area. I am 100% satisfied by her expertieze in eye checkup & surgery . Thanks
Dr Wyse and her entire staff have delivered exceptional eye care for me and my wife over the last three years. Lens replacement for both eyes to address cataracts for me and my wife have resulted in 20/20 vision in addition to addressing our cataract condition. Competent, professional and caring best describes the services and results one can expect from Wyse Eyecare.
After being a patient of other eye doctors for years, seeing and being treated by Dr. Wyse was a revelation. Her services and equipment are state of the art. She is extraordinarily skilled in diagnostics and as a cataract surgeon. I just recently had cataracts removed from both eyes by Dr. Wyse. One was the hand surgical standard lens procedure and the other a laser assisted Toric lens implant. Terrific results. What's more, she is always careful, thorough, and highly knowledgeable in providing treatment. Fabulous doctor.
Hidden service charges. Billed for something I did not agree to.
Dr Wyse and team are fantastic. I called them yesterday, was checked out today and referred to a Retinal Specialist who took me this afternoon to address my eye concern. Dr Wyse and team provided the care one would expect to get as a member of the family. It doesn’t get any better than that.
My entire experience with Dr. Wyse and her staff has been exceptional and my results from her treatment of my cataracts is perfect - I couldn't be happier.
I just want to put in a plug for Wyse Eyecare in Northbrook. What a terrific group of caring, ultra-competent people. Doctors, assistants, schedulers, front desk staff -- every one of whom has shown me what it means to be really, really good at what they do -- over my ten visits during the past three months. Thank you all so very much for improving my sight, and making me feel like such a valued customer/patient. Well done!
on my last visit in May Dr Wyse told me to set up an appointment for September but when I attempted to set up the appointment the young woman at the front desk told me that there were no appointments available but that I would be contacted but I never was. I had to call last week to get an appointment with a different doctor. Customer service needs improvement
Very professional group that provides attentive care, and who are receptive to questions and associated concerns. Implemented changes to office procedures and patient flow which demonstrate a recognition of, and sensitivity to corona virus infection risks.
Thorough, professional, and knowledgeable doctors, in a very well-run office with top notch staff. I’m a physician and this is where I choose to go for my eye care.
Dr.Wyse office has a very professional staff. Dr. Wyse eased all my fears when she performed my cataract surgery. Her calm professional manner was greatly appreciated. I am beyond happy over my results. Joanne Staral
Exceptional precautions taken to prevent patients and staff from Covid 19 exposure
I struggled in writing this review. I have taken my mother here 3 times now. Each visit was a 2.5-3.5 hour wait. Today it was 2.5 to see a tech. To top it all, they had failed to give her the very test she was scheduled for until I pointed it out to them. I noticed during all the visits the patients seemed to be elderly with most of them there with their caregivers. I had 2.5 hours to try to think it through. The theme seemed to be one of an elitist. Double and triple book. Why not, these people mean nothing. They will wait for me for I am great. That may be the case but there are several other great doctors who respect their patients and their time. An appointment is just that, a scheduled time. I felt sorry for my mother that she was going to a doctor who had such little respect for her.
I just completed my second laser cataract surgery performed by Dr. Wyse. I have a high degree of myopia which was a challenge to correct with an implant. The laser surgery was extremely easy, no pain, very little discomfort. The lenses she selected for my choice of mono vision were correct, I can read without glasses and still have excellent distance vision. Dr. Wyse is a very capable, caring professional, her demeanor with patients is excellent. Her staff reflect her compassion for her profession. Dr. Wyse changes people's lives, she gives them their vision, which until you begin to lose it, you cannot realize how truly important good vision is to leading a normal life. I could not have chosen a better doctor.
Nothing but quality services. I highly recommend Dr. Wyse to any one in need of eye care.
I was referred to Dr Wyse by various medical professionals whose opinions I valued. I wanted someone with vast experience and knowledge that would be operating on the cataracts that formed in both eyes. I was not dissapointed the whole process met and surpassed all of my expectations that I was receiving quality medical care with a wonderful and compassionate staff. It may take you a little time to get an appointment but it is well worth it
Everyone has been absolutely fabulous
Wyse Eyecare is a full service ophthalmological practice composed of highly competent physicians and support personnel, who are also very committed to treating patients as sensitive human beings. They go out of their way to assure their patients of the staff's involvement in the general well being of the clients, as well as the well being of their eyes. All aspects of the treatment program are carefully described to the patient at the outset of treatment, both in medical and financial terms. There are numerous opportunities to interact with staff as treatment progresses, to assure full clarity on the part of the patient with respect to ongoing procedures. I unreservedly recommend Wyse Eyecare for all aspects of vision care.
Posting on behalf of my mother, Marietta, who is a patient of Dr Wyse. "This a top notch place, and as for Dr. Wyse, she is the best, caring, and very hands on doctor I have had. I appreciate her!"
By far the most fantastic doctor I have visited. The office is clean and the staff is very attentive to everyone's needs. Dr. Wyse is truly compassionate with her patients and solely cares about their well-being. She also eases any of those "doctor's office nerves" you may be feeling! Great place and worth the drive for my visits.
There are no negatives. Dr. Wyse is as professional, thorough, warm and caring as anyone I have ever known. And she has chosen her associates to have the same qualities. After having cataract surgery my eyesight is better than ever. Dr. Wyse and her team are totally awesome. Jan Eldred
after many years of very good annual services, Dr. Tamara Wyse did cataract work on both eyes. The symptoms had been worsening over several years, and she brought the possibility of surgery to my attention with each visit. Finally, it was time, and over the period of a month, preoperative testing was done, eyedrops were ordered and arrived, and both eyes were done, with a lag of 2 weeks between eyes. The procedure was smooth as silk, recovery was quick, and each eye quickly gained youthful acuity. Two postoperative visits ensued and I was given a clean slate. The operation venue and staff were excellent and very attentive, and Dr. Wyse clearly achieves wonderful outcomes. My thanks to the entire staff at both offices
Why didn't i have this surgery 5 years ago? All too well i remembered my eye surgery when i was almost 6 years old. but having Dr Bomba at Wyse Eyecare perform my cataract surgery and implant TORIQ lenses was a breeze. I'm almost 70 years old now, and my vision is 20/25. I see as well at night as I do during the day. The TORIQ lenses have made all the difference in the world and are worth every penny. Sure I need readers when reading my emails and books on my kindle, but i don't need glasses to find my way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Each eye is operated on separately, so it's a month process, not a long time to wait for perfect vision. The day after Dr Bomba operated on my left eye I saw her for a post-operative check up. i was so shocked at how well i could see! Prior to that point I was on the fence about having a TORIQ lense implanted in my right eye. Since my left eye turned out so well, i decided to go ahead with lense implant in my right eye too. it has been smooth sailing since both surgeries were finished. Readers are cheap, and i got a pair of John Lennon sunglasses too! If you're on the fence about lense implants because they are not covered by Medicare, Cataract surgery is one and done. you don't get a second chance. if you've got the bucks, go for it. Don't you want to be able to see all those grandkids? there is only one downside. How did i get so many wrinkles?
First rate eye care. Dr. Wyse has a great depth of knowledge and is an expert in retinal problems. She communicates well with patients. Office operations have been honed and are now very efficient, with almost no waiting time on my most recent visit. Dr. Wyse is supported by a friendly and capable staff.
Efficient, competent staff and Dr Wyse is outstanding. Been a patient for 20+ years and have always been pleased with my experiences with Dr. Wyse.
My appointment goes back to April 23, 2018, computers and lan lines go down. Documentation appears to not be updated in my record and am still trying to get my prescription for Glaucoma straightened out and separately another eye issue. I’ve called May 4,2018 after multiple times of pharmacy reaching out and then still not getting it right to telling me that they would call me back, to no avail. I called on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 talking to Angela who told me that someone would call me back by 8pm on May 8,2018 and I’m still waiting to straighten out my Glaucoma and other eye issue prescriptions. I guess if I was a Botox patient, which is advertised on most if not all of her examining rooms, I would get more attention than for a real life issue (as there is more financial rewards than real life issues). I’m left with nothing more than to escalate this issue outside of her office as I could potentially go blind without my Glaucoma prescription being updated. Very upset and sad that this office and doctor are now running a very poor shop. I posted on yelp and here I am now on google!
I am always pleased with the service and care I receive at Wyse Eyecare. The people are pleasant and helpful, the facilities are very clean, and Dr. Wyse is the best!
This was my initial visit with Dr. Wyse as we recently moved to the area. I am completely comfortable in trusting her with my vision. The office staff is accommodating, friendly, professional, and very careful regarding Covid precautions.
I could not recommend Dr. Wyse more highly. She is compassionate, skilled, and reassuring. Many years ago I scratched the cornea of one eye very badly. It was very painful, and she met me at her office or the hospital daily until I was out of danger. She also sent me to a corneal specialist at Glenbrook. Simply the best!
I have seen 3 of the physicians at Wyse Eyecare due to an ongoing issue. I have always been treated professionally; from being able to get a last minute appointment to having a phone call returned. The only negative is the long wait at the second waiting area, after being dilated. I allow time and expect this to happen, so it's okay.
I’ve been a patient of this practice for a couple of years. While the physicians and assistants are nice and caring, the front office staff not so much. No greeting when I walked in and signed in and no hello from the gal asking me for my copay. It’s safe to say they need some customer service training in this area.
I saw doctor Wise a week ago, the consultation went ok, she gave me instructions on what to do. She asked me to buy artificial eye drops to put in the eyes and that should of resolve the issue. Also she said that will have to prescribe eye antibiotics if the pain does not go away. Called today, told the the receptionist that I am experiencing pain and it itchy and nothing changed. Asked if the doctor could prescribe those antibiotics. At first the reptionist said that, I have to try artificial tears and that is nothing else she could do. Explained her the same story again that I am having pain and the tears don't help. She said that I might want to come back to see the doctor. I mean, I was there not even a week ago, why should I come back for what? Can they just prescribe those antibiotics? Then the lady said that she will leave the message to the doctor and they will get back to me. Three hours past nobody called me. I called again and the other lady from the reception desk told me the same thing, to buy the artificial tears and it should help. I told her that at this point I tried 2 different types of tears nothing is helping. She said that, she will have the doctor or someone else to call me as soon as possible, she will address the message as being an emergency.Guess what 9:00 pm, 6 hours past since my last call. Nobody ever called back. I am still in pain. I mean in my opinion I think that the Doctor is knowledgeable and she know her business, but the way they treat customers it's not nice at all. Feel like being treated as a joke.
Cataract surgery was a success no pain at all. Lots of eye drops but worth it. Dr Wyse was so good at putting me at ease because I was terrified to get this done. All of the staff at her office and the surgical facility were so pleasant and comforting. The anesthesiologist Vera, was really excellent at her job made me so at ease! All in all I would highly recommend Wyse Eyecare to my family and friends.
I truly believe that Wyse Eyecare is the best place on the Northshore that one should go to for any problem with your eyes. Dr. Tamara Wyse and her staff care about their patents , and give them the time needed for a proper diagnosis. My problem, that was not solved by two other doctors, was diagnosed and handled by surgery. I was very satisfied by the outcome.
Have been going to Dr. Wyse for several years. Had cataract surgery recently. My eyesight has greatly improved. Dr. Wyse and her staff have been excellent to work with. I highly recommend her...
When I had my first cataract removed by Dr. Wyse, the entire process was miraculous. I went to her office because it was time to remove my cataracts. More than a dozen neighbors and friends had recommended Dr. Wyse. Now I know why. She is an incredibly skilled surgeon and highly compassionate person. My experience at Dr. Wyse's office has been far better than any prior experience with ophthalmologists. I realize that some other reviews complain about the wait time. But, it is worth the wait. There is a reason. Their level of professionalism is impressive. They devote an exceptional amount of time during each appointment. They run far more tests than I've ever seen. They are so careful - checking and double-checking results to avoid any error. Dr. Wyse stayed to hear all my questions and concerns. And if you have questions the entire staff is knowledgeable and takes time to answer questions as well. They're very friendly and helpful. And they carefully explain the care instructions to make sure that the healing process goes well. The results are excellent. The day after surgery it was as if while I slept the world had been painted in vivid colors. It had become bright and light. At night, while at a traffic light I could close my surgical eye and see how dim my vision had become over the past few years. After the second eye procedure my eyesight was so improved that I occasionally forget to wear my glasses! I am so grateful.
Very professional! Many thanks!
All people we met at Wyse Eye Care are super nice and professional. We are very grateful and satisfied with the result of the procedure.
