The staff is mostly friendly, but that receptionist always chewing a gum and talkin to patients, very rude. Went also for a blood test, the lady that does it didnot respect my request to keep door closed, as a muslim we cover our body and she said she needed to keep it open in such a rude way and there were men outside . I had to have my husband close it even when she disagreed. This place must respect people more and show more understanding to people from different backgrounds.

Not terrible service.

I really love being kept on hold literally for an entire day. I’ve been calling since early morning and every single time I am just put in a rotation that NEVER sees my call answered. I’m furious. Is there a reason no one answers the phone at this establishment? Is there something else you are all doing that makes you unable to answer the phone to help the PATIENTS with MEDICAL ISSUES THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED? Livid.

Showed up for my appointment and it was cancelled without notice. No call, no voicemail. They offered to reschedule 1 month later, which is ridiculous considering I had to wait several weeks just to get the initial appointment and had to leave an important work meeting for it. Poorly managed clinic.

Aurelio Arantes

Clean, organized and great staff.

Had been looking for a new family doctor for a while and was excited to get squeezed in for a preliminary phone call with Dr. Tepper, who I was told was accepting new patients. This was scheduled for yesterday afternoon and I made sure to block the time off my busy work calendar as I didn't want to lose out on securing a new doctor having moved to the area recently. Low and behold, after 2 months of anticipating this call, I received no phone calls at time of appointment. I followed up 20-ish minutes later and was spoken to, condescendingly, by the receptionist that I need to be "patient." (Honey, 20 minutes in any professional environment -- and, rightfully so, in a medical field is unacceptable). 3 hours and 30 minutes rolled by and still no phone call. I phoned in again and I was reassured by a different receptionist that this would be flagged to the doctor and that I would receive a phone call back by end of day. Unsurprisingly, no phone calls again. All that to say -- very poor experience with this clinic and would not recommend to anyone.

Liseth Sierra

This clinic is one of the best. Exceptional service. Easy to get an appointment.

There is excellent care available but nobody answers the phone between noon and 2pm which is unacceptable. Some (of the newer) receptionists are just plain rude and ignore patients when they're standing right in front of them. It's a good place if you don't mind having additional medical students sit in on your private appointments. Overall, it offers a wide range of services and good care.

I went today to ask for a family doctor and I saw a young man who rolled up his eyes after giving some medical explanation to an old sick man. A very similar situation happened with the information tattooed girl after she talked to an asian lady who could barely speak english. I feel sorry for these people, unfortunately, they are the ones who need more help ????

Amazing model of healthcare delivery. One stop in most cases.

waiting on the phone 30 minutes just to speak with receptionist sounds like 3 rd world service

Dr. will come in at certain time and you will end up waiting at least an hour. It's 3:10 pm and my appointment was at 2.

Elo Okpei

It's a great facility with caring doctors and nurses with the ultrasound and blood clinic on site. I highly recommend it.

Lynda O'Malley

My doctor is excellent! The nurses and staff are also very kind and good at what they do. Great care for individuals and families with small children.

Doctors and medical side of this facility is amazing. Hoewever, the lab to get blood work done is absolutely horrible. Just spent over 90 minutes to get blood work done. Disorganized as my partner and I checked in back-to-back but I was seen and it took them another 25 minutes to see her. I have continued to use these people simply for the convenience to my doctors, but this was the final straw. Not to mention their hours are very inconvienient towards people who work. Medical side 5/5 Lab side 2/5

Jose Antonio Sanchez

Good service, patient and caring staff. Very recommended.

Marianne Henderson

Our experience here has been great. It's always super clean, the wait times are usually quite short and I've enjoyed my experiences with the nursing staff, medical students, receptionists and our family doctor.

This centre is connected to the Hospital making it easier and faster to have tests and work done at St. Michaels. Friendly doctors and reception staff. The doctors always seem to go the extra mile to make sure all of your concerns are dealt with and followed up with after. The after hours clinics are good, although having a 24- hour one would help in certain situations. I have been very happy with the treatment and services received here.

I feel SO BLESSED to have found Dr. Rae-Watson as my new doctor! She is knowledgeable, helpful and compassionate. I love the way that the clinic works, if she isn't around, I can go in and see another doctor in the clinic without an appointment (BONUS!) I look forward to many more years under her care.

Stephen Allen

Excellent consultation with Wilhem in Physio. Receptionist was professional and courteous.

Nancy Beiman

I receive excellent care here. My primary physician is sometimes on leave but I trust the other doctors, who are genuinely concerned with their patients' welfare, and all of the staff are caring, friendly, and professional. It is also good to have them affiliated with St. Michael's, which I found excellent as well.

Hani Fiker

Very nice and friendly staff. My Doctor is RItika Goel she is Excellent and I really mean it. Very caring and devoted to her Profession I really wen say to her thanks for halp !!!!

Mr. T.

Great staff that support the community, thanks. And the venue itself is clean and uplifting. Always feel better when leaving. Thanks

The doctor and care I received are wonderful, however dealing with payment is a nightmare. I’m moving from a different province (which apparently they’ve never dealt with...seriously?) so my OHIP hasn’t started and I received a bill by mail. I need a receipt to get reimbursed by my former province so I must pay in person. I went to the address on the invoice (Sumac Creek) and they acted like I was an alien (“pay a bill? Here?”). They redirected me to 1 Queen St which is a mall and definitely is not part of St. Michael’s. I called the number and ext number on the bill and the woman who answered was nice and helpful, but was also shocked that her name and number were in the bill. Has no one in Ontario ever paid a bill in person?? Also it’s 2019, no I don’t use checks. Get your act together people-know the information that people need and if you don’t know, don’t treat your customer like they’re aliens, just try to find the info and be a reasonable human.

From my first day at this place, I have been given the best service I could imagine. Even when my status could have been used as an excuse for a slow or poor service, staff were very supportive. My Doctor, Nena Watson, has been consistently understanding, supportive and comforting.

The waiting times for your appointment are ridiculous. I have been waiting more than an hour to have an "scheduled" ultrasound.

Dr.Samantha Green Please Treat patients with the dignity and respect they deserve. I literally had to stand my ground to receive treatment as she had refused to treat me and said she has other people who have more urgent needs than my own.I was in excruciating pain on my leg. I refused to leave until I received treatment...

L. Campbell

My fiancee has been on hold for over 45 minutes waiting to cancel an appointment that took a separate 30-minutes-on-hold phone call to schedule in the first place. Absolutely ridiculous.

Was referred here as health on 410 was not taking on any new clients. I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment as i figured there'd be some documents to fill as it was my first visit. The doctor had me wait for 50 minutes, the receptionist called for him twice and he never showed. I understand you sometimes have to wait to be seen as other appointments take more time and can backlog a doctors schedule. When the doctor finally arrived, he made a joke that he only had me waiting for a few minutes and it wasn't a big deal - not funny. Trying to keep things light as it was my first meeting with a potential family doctor i brushed it off. During my appointment the doctor introduced himself, told his story and informed me about the new facilities. A number of times i would move the conversation to the reason for my visit (depression and cold- most likely strep throat) and he would reply "we'll come back to that" then keep on with his line of conversation. Finally when i had begun to discuss the reason for my visit (depression, ive suffered from it since i was a child) he asked if i was on any medication of if id like to be. He then simply told me "depression is a scale and people fall into different points on that scale"....ok......He then abruptly told me he requires a medial diagnoses before "believing that i suffer from depression". He then asked if there was anything else of concern, i told him i had been unwell for some weeks with no improvement. He then abruptly ended the conversation stating he had requested the medical documents form my previously diagnosed depression and told me to book a follow up appointment in two weeks. I did not get any help with my depression or sickness, i went to a walk in clinic the next day where i was diagnosed for the strep throat and had to get antibiotics. The physician offered me no help and my appointment with him was a complete waste of time.

I am glad to have found Summach creek medical center they have all the services in one building x-rays blood work etc and my doctor is great

Adam Battaglia

Having St Mikes as my family care was the best decision I made for my health. The doctors are exceptional, the staff are great and the availability of resources and their ability to utilize technology to optimize their service is outstanding. Not to mention the after hours walkin that are available as well, very helpful.

Benny Ying

My parents who don’t speak English are able to get medical care in the same building they live. The staff would find someone to get translation for them over the phone. I truly appreciate all the help and service they provide. Update: I have to re-rate this facility. It’s the Worst !!! I had experienced THREE times that they said they faxes the prescription to the pharmacy and the pharmacy didn’t receive it, and there is no place for you to complain it!!!

Jon Waterfall

The medical imaging & blood lab front line staff are very very rude, the male staff particularily tends to treat people depending on their color or origin, he could be laughing and smiling with one patient and when the next one comes he is rude and doesn’t answer a hello or a thank you. I just wonder how come staff constantly act this way knowing that this isnt the first time I face such a situation. Who follows up on such complaints and makes sure they do not occure again? The staff on the other side where the doctors are much better and more professional. It is so sad that we have to deal with such people constantly and complaints are not take seriously

Sam Georgio

Worst experience, had an appointment rescheduled and when I got there the receptionist told me that I wasn't on the list. If you ever go here make sure you check twice that your appointment was actually rescheduled because apparently the receptionists don't know how to do their job.

Been waiting 3 weeks to see my doctor, she is only in 2-3 days a week. I'm in late stages of Parkinson's and the clinic will not let me see another dr in the time being. I find it disturbing that I can't get in earlier for basic care. Would not recommend this place.

Rian Walsh

I've had many doctors. Dr green is by far the best and most thorough doctor I've ever had. She has a way about her that makes you feel confident in her ability to care for your health. I come into the clinic weekly for injections and they always fit me in last minute. I couldn't be happier with this clinic! Also, Dr. Nicole is awesome too!!

When I first went toSumach Creek Health Centre, I saw a Dr. Von Aesch and she was terrific and very compassionate and helpful. In recent times, I have been unable to get appointments with her and got appointments with other staff, who, although kind with me, they seem to have no knowledge of my problems like Dr. Von Aesch does. But she is so busy and booked up I can't see her when something urgent comes up. There seem to be too many patients and not enough staff. Even calling for a nurse, no one calls back. I am very disappointed at the quality of care and would like to go elsewhere.

You only have 15min with the doctor.

I have been regularly coming here ever since moving to Toronto more than a year ago. I have symptoms closely related to chronic depression and anxiety, and I needed some way to make regular check-ups with a health professional on my overall health. The doctor they have assigned to me since the very beginning does have strong knowledge of anti-depressants and anxiety medication, I'll give her that much. But lately I've noticed she has a tendency of not being afraid to interrupt me while I'm telling her how my symptoms are getting worse, or she would flat out deny or refuse whatever I would like to do to to reduce my medication intake even if I mean to put in the effort for a healthier diet, therapy, meditation and regular exercising. Whenever I had to bring up the fact that the medications she had prescribed me in the last few months were not working anymore (after having been on them for months and slowly needing to increase the dose again and again and again... until finally hitting the maximum legal dose) she would flatly decline and try to convince me to keep at that high dose, all while trying to add another prescription on top of that, not realizing how horribly expensive it is for me to buy them without insurance coverage due to pre-existing health issues. I've dealt with doctors before who were not afraid of giving their patients a cocktail of medications and frankly, it has never worked for me, and probably never will. I still have half-full pill bottles worth ~$500 of my own pocket money because this doctor tends to give me too much of a big prescription also. It was my fault in not realizing that sooner, so I will admit to that mistake. Simple warning: do not come here for more than one appointment if you suffer from any mental health issues. Go straight to a psychiatrist and/or psychologist by referral, get in close contact with CAMH and you will be much better off. The last couple of appointments with this doctor in particular were both very stressful and painful experiences for me because when I asked for information about a new prescription or if I needed to tell her a change in mood or physical symptoms, she would often just switch her attention entirely to her desktop monitor, or phone, or worse, she started this weird trend of scoffing and/or chuckling at whatever I just said for no real reason, because maybe she thinks I'm not worthy enough to think about my own health??? Don't get me wrong, the pharmacists downstairs and psychiatrist/nurse I saw were very nice and friendly and professional. It's just that this clinic just so happens to have this one rotten egg of a doctor in tow. I am switching clinics and not booking any more appointments from today forward. Absolutely despicable that the clinic lets a doctor like her get away with this kind of treatment to her patients who could very well be on the brink of suicide. Honestly, I'd rather commit suicide without the help of a doctor belittling my efforts to gain better health and to re-intergrate in society, thank you.

Singular access point to the clinic is an elevator that wasn't working one time when I went by, so I just wasn't able to go to the doctor that day. I asked where the stairs were, but nobody was able to answer me. Appointments constantly run late. Every time I go, my appointment starts at least 30 minutes later that it was supposed to. Extremely limited evening hours makes this very inconvenient for people who work during the day. If you make an evening appointment for an acute condition, expect to be seen a month or more later. Clinic seems to have lost my consent form which allows them to contact me by email. The staff are mostly friendly and professional, and I appreciate that they do their best, but this is a very frustrating place to have to deal with.
