Doctor Desai is great. It's too bad, I won't be coming back or recommending anymore because the receptionist is extremely disrespectful. I was booking an appointment and she told me the cost. I told her it was more than I expected so I need a bit more time and that I would call back. She just hung up on me.

Went here for the first time and Dr. Jasmine Au was fantastic! Very kind, knowledgeable and willing to answer my questions. I think there was an issue with the online booking system and I missed their call asking me to reschedule. So, I showed up for my appointment. But the two front desk staff and Dr. Jasmine did not rush me or seem upset that I was there. They were all friendly and approachable. I had to wait a while, but understandably so. I just went next door to LensCrafters to look at frames. The only things I would suggest is that the online booking system and in-person bookings should be accurate and updated appropriately to prevent overbooking. And maybe the clinic should have a caller ID. I don't answer unknown numbers because of all the scam calls I've been getting lately, so I missed it when the clinic called to reschedule.

Went here for a few years and have had numerous bad experiences. The first issue was when I went in to get an eye exam and contacts they slipped in a fitting and demonstration fee which I would have had to pay out of pocket. All the assistant did was explain how to put in contacts (2 minutes). That cost approx $50 and *was never mentioned to me*. I ended up watching Youtube to learn as it was no help. I called in to dispute as no charge was discussed and an obvious money grab. After a few calls back and forth they finally agreed to refund. Next.... Went for an eye exam May 23rd with an impatient and arrogant practitioner Bidaisee. After that unpleasant experience they told me they would be ordering contacts based off my new prescription. After waiting in the office for 20 - 30 mins while they tried to get my credit card they, couldn't process the payment, would call me in a few days and told me they were ordering my contacts. After calling back 10 weeks later to find the status of my contacts they told me they would into it and get back to me. Another week passed I called back and patiently asked again. I was told they had issues with their orders and will look into it and get back to me once again. A few hours passed, no call so I stopped by. He said he was just about to call me. I asked how long it would take the contacts and he didn't know but said he would have trials come in within 3-4 days. I agreed to wait. 2 days later I get a call from them asking if they could take my order. All this time they didn't even have any record of my order. At this point I had given up on them and asked that I get a copy of my prescription so I could go somewhere else. The receptionist told me I'd have to wait 4 days to get my prescription which I paid $110 to get 2 months ago and want a copy of due to their errors. Not worth your time or effort.

Noor explained all the forms and checked on me to make sure my appointment went well. Dr. Desai was extremely helpful when it came out to picking my glasses. He was patient and even helped me select the perfect frames for my face shape! Needless to say, I would definitely recommend Dr. Desai and his team to everyone I know looking for a great optometrist :)

One of the reception staff is very sarcastic and condescending. You’re better off keeping any questions you have to yourself. Some of the highest prices I have seen for an eye exam which is fine if good service is attached however, the wait times are anywhere between 45 minutes to over an hour with no remorse from the doctors. Often you will just sit and watch them have conversations until they decide they want to give you an exam. Do yourself a favour if you’d like to be treated with kindness and respect: do not book here!

After a bad experience last year I was a little apprehensive about my annual checkup this year. It was a total different experience and has restored my faith in this office. My appointment with Dr. Sarah Oh was on time, she was very efficient, friendly and professional. While they are not the closest optometrists to my residence, I have been using their services for a number of years and will continue to use them in the future. My last experience is outlined below and, after their response, I am confident it will not happen again. My past experiences have been excellent but a recent visit was very annoying. Unable to make an appointment with Dr. Desai I booked with Dr. Scott Lake for 10:00am. I arrived at 9:55am, at 10:05am I was taken in for the pre-examination which took less than a minute. I waited until 10:20am when Dr. Lake arrived and proceeded to chat with three receptionists at the desk. There was no explanation or apology so I left. There is a notice behind the receptionists desk requesting that patients do not harass the staff and show respect. I believe they need one for staff requesting the same respect for patients, my time is just as valuable as theirs.

Staff were awesome and friendly. We were in recently to see Dr. Au. She was exceptional with our 4yr old toddler and was not only professional, but efficient as well. We were out of there in no time at all. I would highly recommend her services. My only complaint would be that you have to look for Lenscrafters to find their office in the mall. They do not provide a store name to look for in the mall directory.

I have not used services of this centre, however got a glimpse of their practice requirements and pricing. I needed a particular visual field test and was shopping around. This office quoted me cost 4 times higher than the maximum I have received from all other places. They also insisted on doing a test for a $110, which I did not need and had done a month ago in another location for free. This office insisted that the results from another place would not be accepted and I had to do the test at this office and pay for it. Needless to say I chose another place and never set my foot in this doctor's office.

His attention to detail and spending the time with me was a great comfort, he is an excellent doctor. In all my years of visiting eye doctors this was the first time I felt I had a thorough exam. It does require some time in his office to perform all the test he ordered but his staff are well trained and very pleasant. When I was a bit anxious his staff walked me through what I needed to do, their patience and understanding was greatly appreciated....thank you to all.

Dr. Au is very knowledgeable and clearly an expert in her field. She was able to diagnose the issue with my eye quickly and explain what was wrong in very simple terms. She even went the extra mile to come in on her day off to make sure my healing process was going smoothly and was able to prescribe further medication to aid the discomfort I was experiencing. I would highly recommend Dr. Jasmine Au for her professionalism and genuine concern for the well-being of her patients!

Disappointed that they canceled our son's appointment because he is under 19 and covered under OHIP. While I support the right of physicians to be compensated, the office did not honour his scheduled appointment which we showed up for even though OPA's job action is not scheduled to begin Sept 1.

Went with my 15 month old for a second follow up (after the initial consult) and because it was not the same doctor she asked me to pay for the visit. For what? For not solving my child's problem 3 times in a row? For giving her an ointment which made her eye swell like a balloon? Unacceptable place.

They just renovated the place and it’s really nice, the doctor I saw was fine as well. However, the receptionists are extremely rude and sarcastic (specifically the asian woman), their energy is not very welcoming and quite honestly I would switch doctors for this reason alone. Another review said you’re better off keeping your questions to yourself and I couldn’t agree more. I would take your money elsewhere.

As a follow up to having my eyes checked and getting a new prescription, I booked an appt for progressive contact lens fitting. I haven't worn contacts for many years but wanted to try some for use when snorkeling during an upcoming trip to the Caribbean. Dr. Lake ordered the lenses and for some reason, they were not correct - not even close. He rotated them on my eyes to make sure they were aligned but no luck - the lab must have made a mistake ... Anyway, he recommended that I try the single vision contacts and that's what I ended up doing. Hopefully that will do the trick. Frustrating, but not the doctor's fault. He and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. As I'm still not convinced I want to go back to contacts long term, they have ordered my some trial lenses and we'll see where things go from there. Have been going to this clinic for years and have always had great service.

I went with my family and was examined by Dr Jasmine. Fast and excellent is the short description of our experience. She examined us thoroughly and gave us honest recommendation of what we need. The receptionists are very nice, they processed our claims for us. And the other staff who have done some of the tests are also very helpful. We are definitely coming back to this location.

Called into this office on a Sunday midday with an eye emergency - my toddler poked me hard in the eye the night before and there was so much pressure and soreness! I wanted to make sure I didn't have a tear or detachment. My optometrist wasn't in until Tuesday and I didn't want to wait in Emerg! The front staff at this clinic listened to my story and got me in asap. When I arrived they were very friendly, promptly did all tests and then I saw Dr Scott Lake who was fabulous!
