I had symptoms of pink eye and went to an optometrist nearby in Markham; they said it was a minor infections. After 3-4 days my eye didn't get any better, so I decided to see Dr. Byron Lui since it was close to my office. From my experience, Dr. Byron Lui was very competent and detailed-oriented; he explained to me the different types of pink eyes. He gave me a more effective prescription which improved my pink eye condition in a couple of days! Byron is so professional that he scheduled me a follow-up. He's the best optometrist that I've seen!!!

This doctor is great. He is very patient since eye stuff makes me feel queasy and uneasy. Im also sensitive to light but he knows and tried to make it quick and easy but make sure he gets the data he needs. l also had a bump under my eyelid that all my friends said I would need a minor surgery on- he had me try some heat therapy and it dissapeared after some time! I love that he didn't just jump to surgery like my friend's docs have . He also caught a major problem with my father's eyes, so I really appreciate this doctor. Highly recommend.

Fantastic Optometrist that really listens and explains details to patients. My mother has multiple eye conditions, but he took the time to kindly explain in Cantonese the issues she's experiencing, and without rushing. I have the worst experience. I had a very bad pain in my eye, I called to book an appointment; they gave me an appointment after 5 days, my eye got worse. Then when I went to the clinic after the 5 days, I was told that my referral has been expired. So I went back to my family doctor to get a new one. I came again to them, then I was told they will not accept me because they decided not to take any patients from my family doctor. Now my eye get worse, and the pain has been increased very badly. Tomorrow I will go to hospital to get a report for my situation and sue them for the damage they caused to me and my eye. Now I can't work or drive because of that bad experience with this clinic.

Dr. Lui is extremely thorough, patient, knowledgeable and genuinely cares about his work. I have a rare form of cataract from a very young age, and for the first time, I had someone explain in detail the potential cause of it. He patiently answered all of my questions and put me into lenses (literally) that clarified my vision of words, that I was not aware I needed for myself. I am extremely picky with my doctors, and would highly recommend him. The only downfall is miscommunications with reception.

A word of advice, get a new receptionist. The male receptionist has serious attitude problem. If booking appointment is too big of a challenge for him, he should explore other career options.

I took my 6 year old son to Dr. Byron Lui. He was hands down the best optometrist we have been to. We do not live in Canada but took my son for his routine check up. He was extremely thorough and patient in answering all my questions. I will try and come to him on a yearly basis.
