I can't say enough great things about Transcona Optical. All of my interactions have been positive. Dr. Boroditsky is caring and thorough, but doesn't prescribe glasses if not necessary. When looking for glasses with my daughter we quickly came back to the office to purchase-their frames are reasonably priced, the staff is knowledgable (love Mickey!) and they made my daughter feel excited about her new glasses.

I always have a wonderful time when I go to Transcona Optical!! The staff and doctors are super friendly and make me feel at home! They answer all my questions and I feel relaxed when at the office. The staff are great for remembering patients and making you feel remembered when you arrive! I would highly recommend that people come here for all their eye needs. Their receptionist was also very helpful when I called reference one of my athletes who received an eye injury during hockey. She helped me make an informed decision for his appropriate follow up care.

Extremely unprofessional. I've gone here twice in the past two years for saftey glasses, the first time they were in for a solid week before they "called" i went down there myself to see what was going on. The second time was just like the first time their selection could be compared to dollarama so i picked the best i could and when they finally came in i put them on only to have the staff memeber snicker at me, mummble her laughs and say i look like Napoleon Dynamite. Not to mention they're very pushy, snappy and ignorant with how long you take to pick a frame, the staff will chat to each other when your waiting for them to finish your paper work or take the frame you want. I work with alot of people who require saftey glasses for heavy duty work if anyone asks me about this place from now on i will immediately refer them to a different store, the 5 star reviews seem a little fishy to be honest.

The quality & selection of your glasses are second to none! You can’t compare to anywhere else, nor would I go anywhere else for glasses. Each time I’ve purchased, Kristin made sure they suited me and she also took the time to make sure they fit me properly! The atmosphere at their office was very friendly from the minute I walked in the door and I highly recommend you experience their services. Yeah overall a great office. Dr. Boroditsky is highly recommended. She's knowledgeable and professional as well as friendly and works well with kids (our child sees her as well). The office staff are also very friendly and helpful. Wait times are rarely long.

I've been going here all my life, I've seen a few different doctors and am currently seeing Dr. Blackie - who I find very personable and professional (every Doctor I've seen has been great!). The tests they do are extensive and worth it; the imaging test caught a problem with my eyes and I was referred to a specialist ASAP. The staff who help you pick out frames are amazing, they always take the time to help out, the staff are always great at finding the perfect frame for your face shape etc. I wear contacts and love that I can now place an order online - very handy, they were ready for pick up not even two days after I submitted my online order.

I called Transcona Optical this morning at 8:30 AM asking if I can come in asap as I injured my left eye. They fit me in and I was seeing Dr Chartier at 9:30 AM. As soon as I walked in they hustled me to a room for eye photos and I was in the Dr chair immediatley after. No wait at all. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Dr Chartier was fantastic! Really professional and took the time to check me thoroughly and assure me everything was OK. He gave me drops and i was on my way. I have always come there for my eye checkups and will remain a loyal customer! Thanks everyone!

I called in to get my eyes checked out at Transcona Optical, they booked me in right away and they made the examination process enjoyable. Great staff, very friendly, made me feel comfortable. Answered all my questions, and was able to find a solution for me. Dr.Fiorentino and the entire team were amazing. Lots of amazing selections for eyewear that will suite all your needs. I’ve been a patient of the Transcona Optical Group for many years. Dr. Boroditsky and her staff have always been professional and courteous. I’ve had many glasses and prescription sunglasses made and they are always accurate and comfortable. If there is ever an issue they solve the problem immediately. In my opinion they are the best optometry office in the city and won’t go anywhere else. Give them a try you won’t regret it.

First, I booked an appointment on their website and they advertise it will take 1 business day to get back to clients. It took 3 days for a response and when I asked why it took 3 days when they advertise 1 day , they responded with “ we are busy”. That is customer service. They have one of highest eye exam costs in the city as a starting point. And, they gouge at every opportunity over and beyond their inflated price . Contact lenses , which they receive for free for their providers, cost to get a short trial. They offered wipes to reduce fogging during my consultation b/c of my mask, but that costs as well. They offer but then say “ there is a cost”. When I questioned these policies I received a defensive and annoyed response from the optician. Customer satisfaction is clearly not a priority and they should consider outside training to ameliorate their lacklustre approach to customer service.
