They never answer their phone

I am not a patient at ocular health, although a senior family member of mine has been a patient for a number of years. We have always received honest and professional treatment from the team at their Kingsbury office however after a recent operation I was made highly skeptical. Following an invasive procedure involving an injection into the eye, my [repeat] senior family member was asked to show herself out from the fifth floor down to the parking lot. She had zero vision, and has highly stressed and disoriented after the procedure. This is medical negligence, and Dr. Chan’s clinic could have been held criminally responsible had my family member injured their self. We were not able to enter the building due to social distancing restrictions, and trusted our loved one in the office’s care, in return ocular health put our family member at risk, and into fear. This must be dealt with; and I recommend verifying your own safety before any procedures at the Ocular Health Network.

My experience with Dr. Azizi here was beyond poor. He's abrasive, impatient, acusitory. I felt like everyone waiting there were being rushed through his office like cattle. I will not go back.

Fantastic setup. Go through admissions (there should be a sign and waiting queue) then directed into waiting room. Wait for call to first service (eye pressure test, eye drops, reading letters on wall) for me. Back to waiting room then called for second service (eye photographs) for me. Back to waiting room then called to see doctor. The good Dr. Rayat went over my results. He patiently went over all questions I had and explained solutions. Dr. did not mind my wife being in the room. Actually seemed pleased seeing my support. Overall great experience. Sorry for Nel's experience. Bad karma or just bad luck. Never give up that's what we must all be mindful of.

This place now charges for parking (it didn't before). It is too bad that it is a difficult place to get to (i.e. not near LRT or bus stop) so you need a car, but then they ding you for it. Also the staff here at the centre are hit and miss. Some can be quite rude and disrespectful, and that is not necessary, especially to sensitive individuals like my aunt and my mom.

Negative rating if I could for Dr. Rayat. Nurses and receptionist are great. He was rude, dismissive, barely did any exam and didn't want to even hear the problems or history. Waited an hour. When I asked questions about my symptoms, their development and the different conclusions from optometrist and ER ophthalmologist, he said, "you're questioning me and my expertise. I don't know why they said that." (Maybe b/c they actually did an exam?!) Carefully and politely, I said was trying to understand because of on-going, new pain and blurriness. He turned his back, said I could see his colleague, rolled away on his chair, and opened door for me to leave. On the way out I told him I felt dismissed. He still had his back to me. Has to be one of the worst doctors I've ever seen in my life! The female ER ophthalmologist actually spent time examining and taking history - and she's supposed to have even less time.

Very efficient, courteous, well trained staff. Little wait time. Dr Chan Is personable, explains the procedures in detail and is a very skilled Surgeon. I am very happy my Specialist referred me to him

I was fortunate to be cared for by Dr Chan and his staff. They are all very kind and efficient. He runs a very busy practice but still is able to run pretty much on schedule. My cataract surgery went extremely well and I no longer need contacts, what a game changer!! Thanks to all of you for working so hard during the pandemic

Our first experience wasn't so good but this appointment was great. We were warned we would be there for a few hours so we expected that. Dr. Rayat was great! Answered our questions. Dad is so happy with the care he received. Thank you for suggesting the eye drops. Dad said it is night and day the different they made.

This office which includes Doctor Richard Weinstein never answers their phone. They have no email. No other means with which to contact them. This office fails completely and utterly at providing follow up treatment to it's patients as patients are unable to even contact the office to setup an appointment. Incompetent would be too kind!

Dr. Chan has always treated me with the upmost respect. He always makes me feel safe and he always ensures that I understand the appointment details as English is not my first language. He performed surgery on both of my eyes, each eye twice. Every time I have left feeling reassured that I could call the office if I had any concerns about my healing process. The receptionist on the ground floor was very nice this morning! All of the staff are very friendly, very nice and make us comfortable at all times. Dr. Rayat was the best! Very professional and kind. Definitely reccomend that place to check your eyes!

Dr. Chan and his staff are very compassionate, patient, and approachable, instilling confidence throughout the course of my mother's treatment. Scheduled appointment at 1:30, showed up 15 minutes early like people normally do for appointments. Forced to wait for over an hour and a half passed my scheduled appointment time and ended up leaving without being seen. Terrible business management, why are the admins over scheduling. This isn’t a hospital, if I have a scheduled appointment, I should be taken at that scheduled time.

If I could give Dr. Toby Chan and his team a 10 star review , I would. I had recently Cataract surgery done by Dr. Chan and am raving how good my vision is after he suggested this new Lance. I wore Bi-focal with big prescription, now I don't need Glasses AT ALL ! AMAZING.
