My eye problem started last year, was seeing an ophamologist who felt the need that I should be followed up every few month. I had to move to Waterloo, therefore transferred to Dr. McAlister. Her receptionist sent me to an optometrist for testing. Never heard back from Dr. McAlister after 3/4 month. Affected eye was getting worse, so I decided to call Dr. McAlister, hence I couldn't wait any longer. The technician told me I'm fine, Dr. McAlister will not see me. When I raised concern that my eye is getting worse, she said from what she can see on paper, there is no issue with me. When I asked if Dr.McAlister can spare 5 min just to talk to me, she said no, and it's part of their protocol set up by Dr. McAlister. Noted, they don't have the assessment results from the optometrist. I have never talked to Dr.McAlister, she, as per her technician, already 'triaged' me based on my referral papers which has no details of my condition.

I would just like to thank Dr McAllister and her staff for a very thorough and professional experience on Oct 20. It was a very busy day for all concerned but regardless, I was seen, diagnosed and had my eye operation performed perfectly. When Dr McAllister informed me she could perform the procedure right away I jumped at the opportunity. This told me all of her patients matter and each would be given her utmost attention. It was seamless and today I have complete vision in my right eye. Can’t wait to track mine and my playing partner’s golf ball next season. She is a crackerjack in my estimation. I visited Dr Chryssa McAlister in December 2019 with my mom and she checked out my mom's eyes and did her recommendations but i want to highlight the kindness, thoughtfulness, caring and unselfish attitude of Dr Chryssa McAlister-she recognized that my mom is visiting with me and checked my mon without charge-Dr. McAlister I am thankful and grateful for the way you look out first for your patient's well being. My husband has cataract surgery on one eye. We were sent home and almost immediately my husband noticed an improvement in vision.Then everything went downhill. As we waited for the same day post op check up he began seeing bright flashes of light. When we went to the packed office later that day he told her about it. After a literally, 2 minute exam, she shrugged it off and sent him on his way. Two days later,while driving, he lost vision in the eye. I had to drive him to Owen Sound for emergency surgery on a torn retina. The doctor said it was extremely large. Randy has huge floaters now and very impaired vision in that eye. NEVER AGAIN WITH THIS DOCTOR!

Do not go here! The wait is extremely long even though there are zero patients. The nurse is rude and disgusting. She tried to talk in a very demeaning manner to my son until I stepped in and put her in her place. My son is only 3 years old! The doctor is disgusting. Has zero patience for children and rolls her eyes non stop when you ask her questions. This is not a place for children as they have zero experience or patience for them. Worst so called “doctor” and staff. I’m not sure how this lady calls herself a doctor. Her and her staff need some basic training on how to be decent people to kids. Oh and she dialated my sons eyes with eyedrops and didn’t even look at them bc he was a little squirmy and crying. She made zero attempts to try to exam him and instead just rolled those “eyes” of hers. The only thing this eye doctor is good at is “rolling her eyes” and not treating the patient!
