Doctor was great, Genesis was super nice, Adrienne really helped out with my difficult schedule and the price was by far the best around with the best technology. My personal recovery was about 7/8 hours of pretty intense light sensitivity but then I was seeing like an eagle, no itchiness or dry eye or tenderness or anything of the like. The next morning it was like nothing even happened (except my eagle vision of course) Best decision ive ever made.

I had wanted to give my wife LASIK surgery as a present for a very long time but the cost had always been prohibitive . She had struggled with contacts for over 10 years. I began shopping and doing my research. I scheduled her consult and went with her "to see for myself". The moment you walk into the office, my wife and I were welcomed by a very nice receptionist. We met with a counselor who explained the pricing and procedure in full detail. She was very patient with all our questions and fears. We were so impressed we decided to schedule her procedure the next day!!! We came back the next day and after a couple of hours we were on our way back home. The next morning when we came back in for her check up she was seeing 20/20!!! She was so happy she cried!!! It has been a month and her vision just seems to be getting better. All I can say is thank you for helping me give my wife her eyesight back !! I will recommend you to everyone I know !!

The procedure seriously took about 5 minutes and after a day I had 20/15 vision. Can you imagine that? Crazy! They send you home with paperwork and information so you are well informed on pre-op and post-op. If you're thinking about getting Lasik, DO IT!

LVI Charlotte is fantastic! I had my surgery in September 2018 and the entire process, from consultation through aftercare has been a wonderful experience. They were very thorough and open with explanations during the consultation, . The day of the surgery there was a long wait but it was due to the doctor's flight being delayed. The actual procedure was pretty painless and they made sure that I was comfortable, explaining each step as they went. Aftercare has been phenomenal. I had some complications with inflammation in my left eye shortly after, and they were dedicated to fixing the issue. I love that they take the time to get to know each of their patients and keep up with what's going on with you. Out of any doctor's office across any medical field they have been the most engaged, kind, and genuine I've ever experienced.

My consultation was on Monday, surgery was on Wednesday and I was back at work on Thursday. Most insane thing in the world to me. Best money I've ever spent.

The steps taken to ensure they get as close as possible to a perfect vision is extraordinary. The surgery lasted about 15 minutes. Dr. Machat coached me through the whole process start to finish. It only took about 5-10 minutes for the entire surgery (only a few seconds of “laser” time per eye) and I was on my way. They provided all of the necessary follow-ups: eye drops, appointments, check-ins, sun glasses, sleeping glasses, you name it. No pain, no irritation, no surprises. 10/10 would recommend if you hope to see 20/20.

I had the most wonderful experience here. My first appointment was amazing everyone explained what each machine was going to do and was very gentle. The surgery was awesome I didn’t have any pain during the surgery but a little pressure but the doctor talks the whole way through it. My first day post ot was today’s and this morning I could see and there wasnt any discomfort. Last night when everything wore off I did have intense burning and it hurt a little but I took a Advil and I was good to go back to sleep. I recommend sleeping as soon as possible.

I loved the nice and friendly atmosphere of the place! The doctors were not afraid to go into great detail about the procedure and to talk me through it as the procedure was happening. It made the whole experience pleasurable and not as nerve racking as someone could imagine. The surgery itself was quick, painless and rather interesting to experience. All in all it felt like each eye took about 30 seconds each haha. There isnt much pain post op either. I experienced a mild stinging/irritation but once I woke up from a nap, that was drastically lessened. The post operative care isnt too extensive and is easy to follow. Should you forget anything they give a folder filled with information and I always felt welcomed to call. The only downside, which I cant fault them for 100%, is the scheduling. I had two appointments that had around 2 hour wait times before I was seen. This is because of them having to do extra steps to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Also I had an hour and 30 min drive to get there so the wait time plus travel time together really took a chunk out of, not only my time, but my mother's who graciously took me to the appointments. All in all I believe the whole experience was great and well done! The people are sweethearts and you wont feel out of the loop or confused at all during the process. I now can wake up and see clearly without any glasses or contacts and that is truly something I wish everyone can experience.

Let’s start by saying I’m never the “typical” patient ... I ask a million questions and look for problems. That’s probably why my anxiety is out the roof, however, after seeing Dr O’Day and his staff at Charlotte LVI, my anxiety was GONE and they are hands down the absolute best!!! While the surgery went very well without a hitch, I was unfortunately blindsided with an extra 400$ charge day of surgery for plugs in my tear ducts. Apparently after my initial pre-op evaluation, the doctor or surgeon decided my eyes needed the plugs. No one ever mentioned it to me about this surprise charge. While I am glad to be glasses free, I wish I had known about the extra charge ahead of time because not every college student has 400$ to hand out unexpectedly.

I had been looking at having Lasik surgery for some time. I did a search via Google and came across great reviews for the Charlotte based Lasik Vision Institute. I scheduled, via online, for a free consultation. The Lasik process and options for my situation was clearly explained and was very straightforward. After my consultation visit, I felt very comfortable with the team along with their affordable cost and ease of process. I booked a time for Lasik Surgery for the following week. I am writing this post 3 days after my eye surgery. The process was so easy and really no pain and minimal discomfort..you will feel just a bit of pressure on your eyes and they you are out of the office in no time. I can see so clearly..I love it.

I will start off by saying that being in the Healthcare field myself I can truly appreciate the operations of this facility. From start to finish their bedside manner was amazing and the process was seamless. You can tell the entire team works well together and everyone does their part in stride. I asked some more of the difficult operational and equipment questions and was provided with honest answers. They did a great job explaining the examination, the process, the surgery and the recovery. After years of considering Lasik and seeing multiple Lasik "specialists", I felt extremely comfortable at LVI. LVI is national so if you're travelling you can see any LVI location. The ugly truth of pricing, yes, it's expensive but let's remember this is eye surgery, do you really want the "cheap" option?? On the flip side, the most expensive isn't always the best option. Consider the surgeons reputations, accreditations, credentials and above all ask around and don't be afraid to ask granular or specific questions. A reputable center will be transparent and upfront about the answers, not everything in Healthcare is guaranteed 100%! With that being said, I would recommend this place to my family and already have to my closest friends and coworkers. The actual procedure is painless, you feel a little pressure during but it lasts about 20seconds for each eye! Thirty minutes after the procedure, the numbing drops wear off and yes it is quite uncomfortable for the next several hours as opening your eyes isn't the most comfortable feeling but definitely tolerable. It's short lived, if you're lucky that you can take a nap you won't even notice, I can't nap so yea..! The next morning is when you realize you don't have to reach for your glasses or put your contacts in and that's when it clicked for me! It's incredible and makes all of it worth it! First thing I did was give my remaining bottles of contact solution and contact cases to my friend while I boasted about Lasik!! :) Great experience overall!

I spent over 40 years wearing contacts & glasses. I never thought I was a candidate for Lasik surgery but when a coworker went for surgery and had amazing results, I knew I had to at least have a consultation. When I say my vision was bad, I mean almost legally blind! I went to the Charlotte office for my consultation and I truly did not expect to hear the words, "You are a candidate!" and when I did indeed hear those 4 words, I was so happy! The process has been awesome and fast. From the pre-consultation to the surgery to the follow up appointments, it has all been speedy. The financing options are great and there is always an incentive (percentage off, discounts, etc) to get the procedure done at an affordable price. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and responsive. For those who may be worried about the surgery itself, don't! It is very fast and the doc talks to you throughout the entire procedure. You will need a driver the day of surgery and will need to go without contacts a few days prior to the surgery. That was the most inconvenient part for me but how inconsequential is that really?! I give this LASIK institute 5 stars all the way! I can't wait to gety husband in here for his vision correction! Lifetime touch-ups also. Win-win, people! Toss those contacts out!

I had a great experience with The Lasik Vision Institute! I had my first consultation in November. The consultations are a little long. However, they tell you it’ll be about 3 hours before you come. I had to get a second consultation because I had my contacts in. My second consultation went great. They wanted to verify the numbers for my first one then scheduled me for the next Friday. I had my surgery yesterday and I can see today. I chose bladeless lasik with Contoura and I’m loving my results!

The Charlotte LVI office is incredible. This was not my first LASIK evaluation, but after my evaluation I immediately booked my procedure with them. The entire process, from scheduling the evaluation, coming into the office, and my post-op care has been phenomenal. The staff is knowledgeable and caring, and treated me like a member of their own family, including jokes and friendly banter. They were patient with my questions, and my inability to keep my head still during some of the picture-taking phases. They worked with me and helped to make sure I was comfortable with each step of the procedure and even with the payment process. Even though LVI is a multi-state organization, the Charlotte office felt like a personal, small-town office. I'll actually miss getting to see them and talking with them when I'm done with my post-op care. Oh, and in terms of the effectiveness of the procedure: I was 20/250 the morning I went in for the procedure. At my follow-up the next morning (so not even 24 hours later), I was 20/15 with both eyes open. That alone would earn a five-star review! I wish I could give them even more.

The process and procedure at Lasik vision institute was extremely simple. I had my consultation and exam on September 10 and my Lasik surgery on September 11. On the day of surgery I was in and out of the office in 45 minutes. The entire staff and doctors at Lasik vision institute are very friendly and take time to explain the procedures to you in detail. I feel the office was also taking adequate COVID-19 precautions to keep everybody safe. There was absolutely no pain whatsoever during Lasik surgery. Once the numbing medication wears off about 30 minutes later, your eyes feel less than pleasant, I recommend going to sleep as soon as possible. The next morning my eyes felt fine, just a little dry any irritated. At my check up the next morning I found out I now have 20/15 vision. Anyone on the fence about Lasik eye surgery, I would recommend getting it done.

First, let me say I was not the one that had LASIK, but I will outline the process because I read many reviews prior to using this office and wanted to see the true experiences. The appt was for my husband. I found a GROUPON. He has eye insurance and it offers a discount on LASIK, but the Groupon price was about half of what the cost was with insurance discount. I made an appt for a consult. There was confusion. I didn't get a confirmation of the appt and fortunately called the day before to verify the appt. No appt was scheduled. This is when I was introduced to the call center vs office. The office (which is who I was told I was speaking with when I made the appt) tried to blame the call center for the issue. I am certain I spoke directly to the office. At any rate, it was fixed. At the consult, I kind of felt like the technician was the "closer" of the process as she told us how great it was...then when the doctor saw my husband he said that he may still need glasses after the procedure which made me very uncomfortable and like we had been baited and switched. I asked a lot of questions and my husband decided that he still wanted to do this even thought it was somewhat of a risk as to how good his vision would or would not be. I had also read a lot of reviews about the offices trying to upsell, but they really didn't push with us, which I am extremely grateful for. I would have probably said forget it if they had been a hardcore upseller on the lifetime guarantee or eye plugs. The surgery scheduler was not particularly accommodating and really didn't seem to care what was an issue for us. We finally agreed on a date (about a month out) for which my husband had to take vacation days from work. Just under two weeks prior to the surgery, we were called to say that the doctor was going to a conference and the surgery needed to be rescheduled, which was very unsettling and was the second scheduling issue we'd had. Finally agreed to move the date up two days which meant ADDITIONAL vacation time. Fast forward to a couple days before the surgery and the office calls again saying that due to the trouble they'd caused us, they were offering a Saturday appt that the dr opened up. This made me angry because had this been an option in the first place, no vacation time would have been needed. We did end up taking the Saturday appt as the appt was on "solar eclipse"" day, but this meant my husband had taken 4 days of vacation for no reason. New appt was for 9:15 AM. Arrived at 9:05 that morning and got checked in. Waited about 45 minutes before he was called back. Surgery dr was different than he had the exam with (no one told us). We were told they'd redo the exam the day of surgery, but apparently the dr was running late (He came in an hour and a half after my husband had been taken back)...so no revised exam was done. Surgery ACTUALLY occurred around noon. Husband said there was really no pain...just slight pressure. Genesis, who is very, very nice, from the office did call a couple of hours afterward to check on him, which was very nice. Eyes were hurting a little by then, but took drops as directed and by evening eyes were feeling better and his vision was better than with corrective lenses before the surgery. By the next morning, felt better and could see pretty well and at "one day" checkup which was actually 2 days, he drove himself to the appt on a motorcycle. Dr. said he was doing well and to expect vision fluctuations for a few weeks. He was told by the doctor (before surgery) he would need non-rx readers afterward (due to his age and level of astigmatism). Based on where we are now, he may need them to be comfortable with reading, but at a very, very low power. He is very pleased with the results. He had been in multifocal lenses prior to surgery. So in summary, overall very pleased with the procedure and value, but be aware that this with low cost, you also lose some of the perks and personal touch of a boutique type practice.

When I checked with them for the pricing upfront, They said that inorder to tell the price, They need go through eye check-up which is expected. But when I reached the place after travelling for almost 2 hours, They just checked my eye glasses power and told me the price. This is just unfair, they could have asked me in the call for the eye power and tell the prices accordingly. The check-up visit was completely waste of my time. I was completely upset for the visit.

Reading these reviews I feel like I was in a different place. First of all my procedure went off without a problem. Six months out and I couldn’t be happier. My vision has gotten better with time. Yes it was a little uncomfortable and bothersome for a few weeks but today I couldn’t be happier. I will say that I followed the post op instructions to the letter. One person commented that the facility wasn’t fancy. That is correct it was pretty middle of the road and more than adequate, very clean. The staff was as professional and courteous as any I have ever dealt with. I did not meet the Dr. prior to the procedure but I didn’t see any reason why I needed to. I read his credentials online and read about the laser that would be used. In both cases I felt like I was getting well above average equipment and credentials. The price was what I felt this procedure should cost, not the thousands charged at other places. No I did not pay $299 but I did not pay $4000 either. I financed this through Care Credit at 0% interest for 18 months. With the way this is advertised on TV you might think that it will be some assembly line deal, it is not! Is it set up efficiently, yes?! I simply have no complaints and see no reason why anyone would use any place other than LVI. I had a really great experience.

I had a scheduled appointment today. Apparently the appointment was cancelled yesterday evening via phone, but I never saw that phone call. While I do understand that portion is my fault, no email was sent, and I actually got a confirmation text this morning. I drove two hours to an appointment I didn't know was cancelled. In my opinion, only a message left on voicemail is an insufficient means of communication for cancelling when the appointment was confirmed via text the morning of the appointment. I do want to be clear that this review is only about the scheduling situation and whatever systems are used for that. I understand that emergencies come up. I will absolutely change my review once the situation is resolved and whatever happened to still confirm my cancelled appointment is resolved. I have heard nothing but good things about the office and doctor here and look forward to hopefully working with them in the future.

Truly a great experience here. The staff is very friendly and Dr. Harlow is great at clearly explaining the process and answering any questions you have. Day of surgery I was in and out in 30 minutes and Dr. Machat did a good job keeping me calm through the whole process. Now about a week and a half after surgery I'm seeing 20/15! A week after surgery I did have something get stuck in my eye on a Friday night after 9 PM and was actually put in touch with Dr. Harlow and she calmed me down and walked me through exactly what to do. I couldn't believe I actually got to speak to the doctor that late on a weekend. I was totally freaking out and probably would have gone to the ER for no reason. I was also really happy about the goggles they give you to sleep in. When my husband had his surgery a few years ago we had to tape covers onto each eye and it was a huge pain, the goggles were so easy!

My overall experience was great. I had consulted with dr. mozeyani about 6 months prior to my consult at LVI. There quote was around $5k. LVI quoted a little more than half that until I found them on groupon and what I paid for this surgery was a steal. The staff at LVI was always quite busy as the office is constantly full, but they remain friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Of course with there prices being so low, they are a busy office. I would say the only real downfall of this place is they book so many people into their days, that your wait is what seems like forever. Also, on surgery day, while you and all the others are waiting, the room is small, full, and crowded. BUT I expected this after my first visit and all the reviews I read. I personally thought this was a small price to pay to get a life changing surgery at such a low cost to me. All in all, the surgery went great and I can see 15/20. I would recommend.

The staff here was awesome. I was welcomed warmly and treated well throughout my visit. I especially appreciated the honest answers to my questions. I was seeking long-term improvement as a result of an eye procedure, but due to my specific issues, my benefits would have only been short-term. In my experience, these days it’s rare for people to be honest when there’s money on the line. Most practices, I believe, would have performed the procedure and then dealt with my unhappiness a year down the road when the results started to diminish. I was treated amazingly at the Lasik Vision Institute. The bilingual lady at the front counter needs a huge raise. ???? I scheduled my free consultation three days after I called. The wait was minimal, and the staff were very friendly and informative. I was scheduled to have my surgery one week later. On the day of my surgery, they were playing movies in the waiting room, and were giving out free food during the wait. I didn't wait more than 45 minutes to get into the surgery room. The surgeon was very gentle and informative during the surgery (actual cutting took less than 25 seconds on both eyes). The stuffed dog is now named Alex, btw. The follow-up visits were very pleasant, and I have almost perfect vision! I got a massive discount on Groupon, and paid an extra $600 for Contoura (would highly recommend Contoura, it's worth it). All in all, an amazing experience and I would recommend The Lasik Eye Institute to anyone who will listen!!

Probably the biggest complaint for me was that you don’t actually meet the doctor who is performing your surgery and no one told me until I was actually called in for the surgery. I thought it would be the eye doctor who was examining me but it turns out the actual surgeon is only in on weekends for the Saturday procedures and next day follow-ups. I did get the anti-anxiety prescription but wasn’t given direction on when I should take it. I asked the receptionist and she said they would let me know. And when I was finally called in from the waiting room for the operation and asked the surgeon, he said I didn’t “look like an anxious guy.” Thanks? He then sat me down for pre-op re-examination and his hands smelled like BBQ sauce from him eating and working simultaneously. Should have registered as a big red flag at this point but I had the surgery and it wasn’t that bad. About 15 seconds of laser in each eye. The next day I came back and the surgeon examined me and seemed somewhat panicked about my right eye but wouldn’t tell me what was wrong and said I should just come back tomorrow when the regular eye doctor was there for his opinion and the surgeon would be long gone. What if I had needed an emergency correction or the flap reopened to remove debris? Would have to have waited an entire week while my eyes had already began resealing the flaps. Turned out it was just common inflammation and had to take some additional drops for a week. However, the eye that had inflammation turned out to have worse vision but their machines couldn’t detect anything was wrong and they repeatedly just said it was dryness or not that bad. It came off as if they were implying I was just imagining a problem to get a free enhancement surgery. To this day I’m still not imagining the eye socket pain I get from the eye strain every day. They said it was still 20/20 even though I struggle to read a computer from two feet away with my left eye covered. I’m sure I was marked down as another success story. After six months of the run around I went to regular optometrist who informed me there was still some astigmatism and am now wearing glasses again. I went back for the 1 year follow up and it actually 100$ just for the 10 minute exam and to be essentially told good luck with that. I got a second opinion from Providence Eye who didn’t approve of this company’s factory lasik approach as well as their practice of charging another 500$ per eye to get the “good” software (Wavefront) that does a more accurate scan of your eye and produces better results. Of course I did pay extra for the upgrade but why the hell would you not be given the absolute best procedure by default? But I was too caught in the excitement of being glasses free to think of that. They’re decent people at this office but the company business model just seems pretty shady and I should have picked up on the red flags and went somewhere else.

I waited in the waiting room for an hour or so, but I was eager about getting the procedure so I waited, when I was finally called back I was informed that it would actually take 4 hours! Their goal/trickery is to try to get me to use their finance company with out landish rates, heck I didn't need those rates to but a new car! Anyway, be prepared to take a half day off work for the appointment & make a $9,000 commitment.

I entered a drawing at the Health and Fitness Expo and won $1,000 off. I went in for a free consultation. Gale who did my consultation was very nice and professional. They let me combine a 10% off sale with my $1,000 off, so I could not pass it up. I had surgery last Monday. I waited about an hour to go back, but Genesis let us know the doctor was running a bit behind up front. When I got into the room the doctor thoroughly explained each instrument and every single thing he was going to do to me. The entire process lasted maybe 8-10 minutes, and the laser was used for only 15 seconds an eye. The process was completely pain free. I could see 3 hrs after surgery. I have had absolutely no pain or discomfort after surgery. It's been a life changing experience. I would highly recommend The LASIK Vision Institute. Their staff was incredible, and I could not have had a better experience.

Lasik Vision Institute did a great job thus far. I am one day PostOp and satisfied to this point. The staff was friendly, helpful, willing to listen. Things can happen very quickly during this process but I liked having that option. The surgery was swift and easy. Area for improvement would be to have the call center on the same page as the office employees. Scheduled appointments were easily overlooked by them and they couldn't answer a general question for me when my specific office was closed. Otherwise everything went smoothly and great. Would absolutely recommend this company for Lasik treatment.

Life changing. I scheduled my free consultation and booked my surgery within a few weeks. Surgeries take place on Thursdays only, and you have to come in the Wednesday before for dilation. I couldn’t see when I walked in, but I walked out being able to read street signs and my vision has improved daily. I went back that Friday for them to check if I was healing correctly, and then two weeks later to check progress. All in all, my experience had been exceptional and Dr. Machat was not only an exceptional and experienced surgeon, But was also very informative and reassure during the whole process.

A factory. My appointment was booked with Dr Christenberry but I never saw him - another doctor cared for me. What I found most interesting was that when I called back with issues, the notes seemed to imply that Dr C had cared for me. Next, they called a prescription in for me to a mail-order pharmacy. That pharmacy never called me to finalize details. I called Dr. C's office repeatedly but they never took care of it. Essentially, I may as well not have received treatment. Terrible. Surgery was not painful, as people have indicated, but more uncomfortable than I expected. Do all the googling you can prior to the procedure to find out exactly what's involved, or ask all the questions you can during your free consult with LVI. I’m now a week out from surgery. Vision is great. Comparing with other people I think I am 20/20, maybe leaning towards 20/25. I was told I was 20/20 at my follow up visit. Totally acceptable, though. Last night I noticed some starburst effects around street lights. It was a little distracting, but not unbearable. I’m told that should go away as my eyes heal. All-in, $2400. It was $1800 for the procedure (includes three post-surgery visits), plus $600 for the Contoura upgrade. It’s another $1000 for the lifetime assurance plan where you get free touch up procedures so long as you get an annual eye exam. Surgeon I had said the laser was so good he didn’t recommend the lifetime plan so I didn't get it. Dissolving tear duct plugs were included, even though I’ve seen them cost as much as $400 at other Lasik places. Once LVI has all-laser Lasik (in May 2019), the laser-created flaps will cost another $600, according to the pricing materials I was shown. The prices I just listed were for both eyes and based on their current Groupon promotional pricing. Cut those numbers in half for per-eye pricing. In-house financing for 24 months is available without a hard credit inquiry when you put $600 down. You can also get other financing with $100 down, but it requires a hard credit hit and is for 18 months (I think). I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family. LVI was transparent about pricing, non-judgmental, very professional and friendly (almost too friendly), and were not pushy when it came to upgrading to their different services. They encouraged me to do my own research and didn’t try to hide any facts or information from me. The in-house ophthalmologist and the surgeon went out of their way to talk me through everything and answer my questions even though I was not purchasing their lifetime assurance plan. I feel like I was able to get Lasik for about two-thirds or half the price of other places I looked into, and I am so far thrilled with my new vision.

This place messed my wife left eye they did something wrong and know she cannot see. She is absolutely worst than when she went in. The manager acted like a street sales hustler and mislead us with the results and recovery she painted a pretty rainbow and told us that if we did the surgery the SAME DAY we would get 1000 dollars discount. We NEVER could talk to the BUTCHER that performed the surgery and instead they sent the glorified secretary or admin person to tell us that everything went right and that all the pain dry eyes and super sensitivity to light was normal. Plus the blood in her left eye was also normal. After a week the left eye did not showed any improvement as they had us led to believe. So they referred us to a REAL eye doctor which we had to pay our selves. They do not delivered the quality product they advertise and now my wife cannot see in one eye!!

My post op appointment I was seeing 20/20 with both eyes, 20/20 vision in the right eye, 20/25 vision in the left eye. Today is the fourth day after surgery. I still have fuzzy vision; was told that is normal and continue taking the eye drops. Overall, I'm excited that i can see objects that once were so distorted I couldn't make it out. I actually see features I couldn't see before. I'm hopeful that with time and the healing process that my vision will improve even better. Great experience! I wanted to go and just see if I was a candidate for laser surgery...I was a perfect candidate they said with Wavelight Contoura. I went in and it was about 20 minutes total from coming into the office and leaving. I't was a really cool process, doc and assistant were awesome, made me very calm and talked the whole time! It was like watching fireworks right in front of you, no pain. I did however feel a lot of stinging on the way home, more like you have got something in your eyes and need to wash it out sort of feeling but once I woke up from the 3-4 hour nap I felt no more stinging. I went in the day after for the follow up appointment and I was seeing 20/20. I am going on 4 weeks right now and no issues whatsoever. I love that I can dive at night without it being blurry. I do however have to wear reading glasses more now..but with the upcoming drops on the market that might be a thing of the past. If you are going back and forth about getting it done, do it! Defiantly worth it!

Let me tell you! Was only going in for a consultation but ended up getting the surgery done Friday of that following week. I dont know why I have waited 15 years to do this but it was the best decision of my life! Day of surgery: I am a normal worrisome person but my anxiety got the best of me that day! They gave me a script for something to calm my nerves it worked! My head played games with me causing a full blown panic attack. The staff was great about it and got me comfortable enough and calm to continue into surgery. The procedure is literally painless!!!!!! The dr talks you thru the procedure and it is done quickly! They gave me an appointment for 9.30.a. m I was made to sit in the check-up room for almost 45 minutes . I went again to the front desk to remind them that i was in the room (just in case they forgot about me ),. They said that the doctor was busy with the other patient then why give me and appointment if he ?she was busy. The worse part than this was they sent in some office attendent to attend me who told me that i wasnt the cadidiate by measely looking at my eye powers on the papers. If that was the case they should have asked me on the phone what are my powers and asked me to not come as i do not fall in the parametrs of Lasik. That would have saved my trouble of going all the way to their office. As a basic rule the doctor atleast should have come inside and talked whatever should have been told to me. So if they dont see you as the potential client they wont even attend you. . Discourteous really.

I used the Groupon deal for $1395 also bought it through eBates so I got 10% back ☺!! What a steal of a deal!! There was a small additional cost for me personally because my eyes were soooo bad & I also went with the lifetime coverage so if my eyes ever change I can have the procedure again!! I was worried the low cost would equal low quality & bad service but I was totally wrong. Everything was beyond perfect & now my eyes are too! I see better than 20/20 & don't have to deal with contacts, glasses, solutions, cleaning, dryness etc. It is a dream come true. The advanced laser they use is the best available right now & only one other facility in Charlotte has it but they will charge you $4,000.00 plus. I didn't think Lasik was a possibility for me because of high costs & how bad my eyes were but it is & I would highly recommend this office to anyone considering it for themselves

I've had an excellent experience with the LASIK Vision Institute! I'm 42 years old, and I've been wearing contacts/glasses for 20+ yrs. I have an astigmatism, and I did a lot of research on the procedure and providers in advance. Dr. Machat is absolutely the best! Please learn about him and his experience! He's incredible, very calm, and he talked me through the procedure (which is very quick and simple). Corey is an angel, and he walked me through my initial consultation. Dr. Harlow set very clear expectations for my results and post-op care. Post procedure was pretty simple --- a burning sensation that lasted a few hours (similar to the feeling of having swam without goggles in a highly chlorinated pool) and I was very sensitive to light. I woke up the next day and felt great. This is the only place that I trusted with my eyes, and I highly recommend them!

One of the worse experiences I’ve had with a LASIK office. For starters no was at the front desk took about 5 mins for someone to even greet. I’m assuming this woman was the person to do the eye exam before seeing the doctor or whoever. However, the receptionist and that lady just gossiped about the man that went in before me. Update: I am now going elsewhere and the professionalism was night vs day. I’m now very excited to have my vision corrected. Interestingly at the new place their exam is good for one year and at the LASIK Institute it was only 30 days... It was a very unprofessional experience. I had to wait at the door for several minutes before I was let in because no one said prior to the visit to call on arrival to check in. I had to fill out the required forms with my medical history twice because it didn’t take the first time. Where did my completed information go? They couldn’t answer. I go back to get started for the consultation and the lady tells me that if I do the consultation today it’s only good for 30 days. Again, no one communicated that ahead of time. Since I said within 6 months on the form when asked how soon I wanted to do the procedure she asked me to reschedule. Within lady, not in 6 months. But at the same time she also wanted me to schedule surgery before I could find out if I was a candidate because they no longer had an optometrist on site to read my results. The previous optometrist left for another practice. I kind of understand why. I drove out of the way to find out if I was a candidate and that was never possible to find out today. No one said a word about that. And when I made the appointment they told me I needed to be in my glasses for a week which was not an easy task but I did it. And now you want me to reschedule and do that again? But actually, when she asked me to reschedule she says well technically 3 days is enough. It was a lot of missing information and not a pleasant experience and a huge waste of my time. And I don’t think I would trust you with my eyes.

Dr. Jeffrey Machat and staff was super down to earth and helpful in making my procedure as safe and successful as possible. TBH I know not everyone is eligible for Lasik, but they helped me have a better understanding of my qualifications and never urged me to proceed, as I did on my own accord. Would recommend this place if you are thinking about lasik or want to try a consultation!

The doctors and nurses were very welcoming and made me feel comfortable from my initial consultation through post op. I was a little nervous at first (which seems normal) but the surgery was SO fast! It was maybe a total of 15 min in the room. The doctor talked me through the whole thing and also had some side chatter to keep me distracted. The other doctor who helped pre and post op was thorough and made me feel reassured the whole time. There was a little burning and discomfort after the numbing drops went away, but it wasn’t anything unbearable. I took a Tylenol PM and just slept! It’s only the first day after my surgery and I’m already seeing amazing!! I woke up at first thinking that I forgot to take my contacts out! And the most exciting part is that it’s only going to get better!!

Very weird experience, but absolutely amazing and GREAT doctors and pricing. I went with in house financing which is is extremely affordable and easy. I came off the table with 20/15 in both eyes. Using "fake name" because I don't want the office to treat me differently if they read this. Sure wish I'd read these reviews prior to having surgery there. I would have checked out other places. Before surgery, when asked about pain-no problem, maybe feel like a little sand in them. Right-it felt like a handful of sand had been poured into both eyes! PAINFUL! So bad I took a Hydrocodone before I felt relief. Each time I've returned since, the eye examiner says I have 20/20. I keep saying over & over that my vision is blurry & my distance vision is far worse. He says "it will get better with time". Really? How long should I wait? They had said my vision would be fixed almost immediately. I'm telling you, for me, that did not happen. Today I called again asking if they can fix my eyes again so I can see clearly. Nope...have to wait at least 6 mo. And then, the only thing they can do is RETURN MY EYES TO THE WAY THEY WERE! Well that sucks!! So you're telling me I'm paying you 3K for NOTHING except some pain & frustration?? *when you call this girl gets on the phone & you're led to believe she's a medical person. She's not...she's an administrative person. Oh-and you can't talk to the doc. *DON'T PAY UP FRONT!! I'm on the payment plan & not going to pay until I'm satisfied with what they've done. I'm a bill payer-I believe in paying for myself. But not like this. (In all fairness, they did fix things so I don't have to wear reading glasses. Everything else is worse!)

People was Great. I was not a candidate because of my age (I have cateracts) Staff still took a lot of time with me to determin I was not a canidate. There was no pressure to have the procedure and even referred me to another doctor that specializes in cataract surgery. Highly recommend these folks if you are considering eye laser sugery.

I absolutely loved my experience here! The staff is great! Amanda, Adrienne, and Madison was phenomenal!!!! They answered all my questions and eased any concerns I had about my procedure. Madison even called me after hours on a weekend just to answer a question and did so without any attitude or kickback. I just love them!!! My consultation was very professional and knowledgeable and I was out swiftly. 10 days later I scheduled my procedure and it went through without any problems! This was definitely the best experience I’ve ever had and would recommend them to anyone!!!

My procedure went well and on my next day followup I am seeing 20/20. I have the typical clouding that’s expected during healing, and looking forward to my 10 day followup.

I had a great experience from start to finish. I highly recommend this place if you are going to get your vision corrected! The staff was superb at answering all questions and keeping me informed. The Doctor consulting you is not going to be the one performing the operation, but rest assured you will meet the operation Doctor before doing the procedure, which is good. What I want to suggest is to tell the customers about the pressure that you will feel, I was kind of worried a bit because you can feel "the pressure" (slight pain). It was not too bad, but it would have eased my mind a little knowing before hand of what the pressure is, as this was my first time. On the way home I would suggest you buy tylenol to ease the discomfort and Zquil gummies to aid in quick sleep. I had about 1 hour ride home and the sleep was needed. When you get home use the drops vigorously as I over did the recommended to keep your eyes moist like 2x more. Have your spouse/friend/parent buy you more preservative free drops. Overall my experience was very good and their staff was great as well. I highly recommend this place.

I got my LASIK done here about 2 years ago. I just had my annual eye exam and I still have 20/20 vision and the Dr. said if I hadn't told him I had LASIK he would have never been able to tell since there was no scarring at all. The whole staff of this place made it so much easier. They took their time and I never felt I was rushed or looked over. I am more than happy with my results and have nothing bad to say!

They took my nearsightedness and my astigmatism and the surgery corrected to now where I see 20/15 out of both eyes! I had a great experience from start to finish with Lasik Vision Institute. The whole staff was friendly, willing to help, and had great bedside manner. The surgery went smoothly despite my nerves. The day of recovery isn’t fun, but id recommend just trying to sleep through most of it. The next morning I was seeing 20/20! So far, recovery is going smoothly and they are continuing to support me throughout the process over the coming months with follow up visits.

It does take about 4 hours for the surgery but they stated that in the packet so not sure why people are complaining about it (there are a lot of people who get it done the same day as you do so don't think you are the only one, so go early). It wasn't much since I used their groupon deal honestly with the groupon, getting a life warranty, and all the meds I've needed so far its been less then 3k. My vision is amazing now and its going to get even better glad I found this place.

I went in for an evaluation to see if I was a good candidate as I have been wanting to ditch the glasses and contacts for sometime. Everyone was extremely nice and explained all the tests/measurements that they were doing. Unfortunately, i wasn’t a good candidate. My prescription is to strong I appreciate that they kindly explained this to me trying to ensure that they were thoughtful of my disappointment. I appreciated that they didn’t waste my time and especially my money if I wasn’t going to be able to have the results that I was dreaming of. If you are interested in lasik you should at least talk with these people. I feel like they are trustworthy

I scheduled my lasik consultation appoinment three times, and they literally cancelled my appoinment all three times on the morning of the appoinment, telling some excuses. The third time no body even informed me that my appoinment was cancelled until I called them up and checked. No credibility. Worst experience. Wonder how they will treat us post surgery if we had any issues.
