A family member was in great need for advocacy... Family needs were at a max... Dr.J.Sandhu, refused therapeutic resolution, and, had not received a contact prescription FROM JULY 2018, TO OCTOBER 2018... PAYMENT OF THE SERVICE WAS PAID IN JULY 2018- $135.00... The Service was paid, but, the Prescriptive Service was not rendered... The patient was suffering from a family tragedy: hospitalizations, and, serious Implications for her children... but, Received abrupt calls, but, no therapeutic outcome that hindered vs. Resolution... Not a very graceful experience... Still feel the hurt, very frustrating to spend hours and attempts ×twice to a patient coordinator, in their office; trying to get the prescription filled or, to have even gotten the prescription ...SINCE THE SERVICE WAS IGNORED, THAT HAD BEEN PAID IN JULY, AT THEIR FRONT DESK... THEY APPEAR TO BE DISORGANIZED, about their staffs roles of continuity... Every Opthamologists office, I've seen in Seattle ...has had a patient care coordinator or, Optometry technician, WHO FOLLOWS THE PATIENTS THAT ARE SEEN BY EYECARE DOCTORS... This practice gone down, especially with their incompetent billing department. I was a pt of Dr. Coday and thought she was wonderful at the beginning. However, beginning a few years back, I began noticing problems in her interaction with me as a patient. I have discontinued going here because of the lack of a caring environment.

worst experience. It’s not the doctor who checks the sign. It’s the nurse who checked my sight. I felt the results she gave was abnormal. When I asked the doctor to cross check again she did and the results were completely different. Worst part was the doctor checked my sight when my eyes were dilated. Now I am not even sure if the results which the doctor gave were also right. I am Costco/target are far better than this place.

Will never go to them again. I have had cornea transplants in the past and they have treated me for an eye infection that never fully healed. They also messed up on my contact order and I'm still waiting for the correct prescription. It's been well over a month now. In response to Overlake Eye Care response: IF you looked me up, you will notice I am a real patient. So yes, this is a "real" review. Over 6 weeks ago I was seen for an eye infection and treated. I also was fitted for new contacts as the shape of my eye had changed. The contact order was incorrect as your front office staff ordered me 2 contacts for the SAME eye. They reordered them, over a month ago, saying they would be in in 5-6 days. I'm still waiting to hear if they're in. The reason I mentioned I was a cornea transplant recipient (over 25 yrs ago, and my chart indicates that) is because I now have a 2nd eye infection in the same eye. I chose to see another eye doctor. The new Dr. took one look and has now referred me to a specialist as he thinks my cornea transplant may be rejecting. It makes me wonder why this wasn't a clue the first time, especially since my eye shape had changed. I'm obviously not an eye doctor, but... I'll keep you updated on how my appt with the specialist goes. Take care!

We had a fantastic experience for our young son with Dr. Lindsay and the care team here about a month and a half ago. We initially visited a different nearby pediatric optometrist that almost traumatized our son. Dr. Lindsay and the staff here was energized and thoughtful, and I am still grateful for the care and capabilities here. The facility is also updated and clean. Dr. Lindsay gave us a thoughtful unrushed second opinion. She explained why she disagreed with parts of the initial diagnosis we received at the nearby pediatric optometrist, and she even referred us to a pediatric ophthalmologist specialist she knew personally and could vouch for, and helped us get an appointment.

Went there last year and got my eyes checked. They gave me -4.25 prescription and it didn't sit right with me. I asked them if maybe I should get -4.50 and they just switched it without checking if it fit me. Went with a different place today and they said that -4.5 was the wrong measurement and that I have a different prescription for different parts of the eye. Very disappointed with this place with a bad exam result.

Love this place, Dr. Sandhu is the nicest optometrist I've ever met and very thorough in her examination! I always look forward to seeing her! Taylor Hahn is the optician who made my glasses and she was not only SUPER friendly but also managed to make the perfect pair of glasses for me. I have a high prescription but she managed to make it work AND added in high index, blue light filter, and anti-fatigue, all in one pair of lenses with no problems. She also found me the perfect frame. :) Will definitely be going here for my yearly checkup & if I'm feeling like getting another pair of glasses!

I have problem eyes (detached retina surgery from a boxing incident, astigmatism, etc. etc.) so I can't exactly walk into LensCrafters and get new glasses. I moved from California and needed a new doctor and I really hit the jackpot. She has great energy and is not just willing to give me the extra attention but is enthused to help me, um, not go blind. Dr Boparai saved me at least $9000 dollars and likely eye damage and complications by being completely honest with me about the risk of a surgery another Dr was more than ready to perform and charge me for. I am so glad I got a second opinion. I went to Dr Boparai as a new patient to get a second opinion on a surgery to remove slightly red/damaged blood vessels that bothered me cosmetically. I had seen another Dr who was more than happy to suggest a $9000 conjunctival excision with auto-graft - rather in depth procedure. Dr. Boparai politely let me know that while this was an option, he didn't recommend it for me because from the existing blood vessel reaction, it was evident to him this surgery could easily leave me worse off than before. He then offered me these amazing over the counter eye drops that contracted the broken blood vessels enough to leave me completely satisfied and extremely relieved to have avoided a very costly surgery, with a safe effective eye drop that costs less than 5 dollars. I was saved thousands of dollars and likely life-changing scars, because Dr. Boparai was honest with me, and put my safety and health ahead of profit. I cannot recommend Dr Boparai enough.

I was asked to take extra tests. I asked the Doctor (Dr. Sandhu) whether there would be additional expenses on this. I was told there wouldn't be any. Fast forward to 2 months, I get billed for these expenses. The letter also arrives two days before the deadline. TL;DR: Don't go here. They try to lie to you to get you to take additional tests.

I was referred to this office for specialists after an eye appointment elsewhere. It was 29th of December and I hoped they could fit me in before the end of the year when our health insurance deductible reset. Turns out they had an appointment for me AND my husband the very next day! I couldn’t believe it. Their office was very clean, masks required and hand sanitizers on every counter, table or surface. They sanitized every pen, chin guard, and forehead guard during my visit. I wasn’t seated more than 2 minutes in the waiting room before they brought me back for my appointment. The nurses and doctor were very nice and efficient. Explained things in a way I could understand and made me feel comfortable in how my results were interpreted. Definitely recommend this office and plan to return for my follow ups!

I've dealt with multiple eye health issues since birth and I have seen numerous eye doctors of various specialties. Now in my 40's, complications from Lasik surgery, complications form a retinal tear and age related vision deterioration have made eye care a primary concern. Overlake EyeCare has provided years of excellent care. Recently, I started seeing Dr. Boparai who has provided exceptional care. Dr. Boparai took the time to listen to every detail of my concerns (probably why some of you complain about waiting!) and, after a thorough examination, he clearly explained the various issues affecting my vision. Using a combination of an innovative prescription for glasses and a prescription for drops (i.e., non-surgical solutions), Dr. Boparai helped me regain much of the vision I feared was lost and, crucially, he helped me be able to drive at night again. I have never felt more informed and at peace with the state of my vision. Thank you Dr. Boparai.

Bosland and Barry, an eye infection, mono contacts, Dr. Bopari, reading glasses, Dr. Coday, cataract surgery, and today another perfect annual check-up! Finding an eye Doctor one can trust to "cut your eyeball open" can be a daunting task. After being informed (by another Doctor) my vision was being impaired by a cataract, I called a Doctor friend; who referred me to Dr. Mary Coday (she had removed his cataract). My first impression of both Overlake Eyecare, PS and Dr Coday were as good as I could have hoped! The staff at the front desk were efficient and well in charge of their "front desk world"! After being checked in...almost immediately Judy came out and greeted me, inviting me to begin diagnosis. Dr Mary Coday soon arrived and got straight to business. She is a straight forward, top of her game, no BS, Doctor! I researched her credentials, and I feel fortunate to be in her care. This will be a bit of a journey. I'm glad Dr Mary Coday will be be there with me!

A fine facility! Dr. Mary Coday is exceptional, thorough & complete in her care. The employees Mallory and Tung are, again, exceptional and really care about what they're doing! The optical department is, well, exceptional as well and Merry Jo is a joy! The parking arrangement is somewhat tight for the disabled, and sometimes we've had to wait nearly an hour. Overall, however, we'd never go anywhere else! One other wonderful employee of this clinic is the telephone person, Natasha. So helpful, all of them.

The doctors and staff at Overlake EyeCare are the best!!! I have interacted with Drs. Boparai and Coday. I have nothing but nice things to say about them. They have helped our family and extended family for many years. We appreciate that they treat all their patients with kindness. We appreciate that when a family member has had an emergency, there was no "we can't see you attitude". This attitude of "we will take care of you everyday and especially during an emergency " is why we keep coming back. The clinicians are very knowledgeable, and we 'get it' when they are running a little behind, because they are the go to eye doctors for Bellevue when you need help! We as a family 'get it' when we're not seen immediately because we have been on the other side with an emergency of our own causing the delay. The doctors and staff work very hard and the people who complain about a wait have either never had an emergency medical condition of their own or they are so self centered that they can't think about anyone but themselves.

I still have issues with my eyes, but he is trying hard to find the best treatment for me. They are somewhat better, but he has other treatments that we can try in the future if need be. He makes me feel very comfortable and his staff are all friendly as well. I would highly recommend him.

Doctor Rebecca Lindsay was great. She listen to the challenge I had been having with my previous color vision exam, and It’s implications with my job. Took my 5 year twins for an eye checkup. They were very quick to check up each kids in parallel and reduce our 3 hr appointment to 1.5 hrs. They are following all sanity procedures during Covid. They were awesome in taking the baselines and doing the initial check up and then the doctor came in for 15 minutes for final review. We are blessed to have the clinic so close to home. My family has been coming to Overlake eye care for more than 7 years but this year has been the worst in terms of experience. Two weeks back one of my family members had an annual eye exam and it took 1 hour 25 minutes to complete the appointment. He was taken inside at the scheduled time but then kept waiting for different things while inside. Today was even worse. It took me 2 hours 20 minutes to complete my annual eye exam appointment. I was called in 45 minutes after my scheduled time. The assistant spent around 15-20 minutes to check my vision etc. Then he dilated my pupils and asked me to wait in the lobby so that he could start with another patient in the meantime. I was called back in about 20-25 minutes after that for photos of my eyes. Again I waited for the doctor for another 20-25 minutes in the room. When I finally came out my appointment had lasted 2 hours 20 minutes! I have no complaints against the doctor and the assistant – they did the best they could do with the waiting room full of patients and were courteous. But you seriously need to reconsider how many patients you schedule. Otherwise in an effort to increase your revenue you will end up losing loyal patients and earn negative word-of-mouth. If it recurs next year, I will definitely be looking to switch.

The most wonderful, competent, caring, and friendly staff you will find in this area! I was told by my optometrist that my optic nerve is swollen which may be indicative of a brain tumor. I was referred to Swedish Neuro-Opthalmology and waited MONTHS for them just to contact me to schedule an appointment. My optometrist sent them a referral TWICE, I called them weekly, and even went down to their office (in which they told me they would call me... which was a joke!) all to try to get seen. Yet they never even bothered to call me, even with the severity of my problem. Hopeless, afraid, and frustrated, I went to see a general doctor and she instead referred me to Overlake EyeCare. She contacted them, explained my situation, and they were able to squeeze me in the very next day! Doctor Boparai was amazing with an excellent bedside manner! He explained everything to me and patiently answered all my questions. He put all my fears to rest, promising to handle all my opthalmogist care as well as connect me with a neurologist so, together, they can give me all the care I need. Not to be forgotten, the front desk receptionist (Cindy) as well as the lab tech (who I unfortunately did not get his name) were both extremely friendly, patient, and accommodating. Lots of front door parking and a beautifully stocked waiting room. All in all my experience exceeded any expectations I had! Would definitely recommend.

She worked diligently with me in picking the best option for my frames and was very supportive in helping me not only in discounts but also thinking about most optimized time to buy them for the best deal. Not happy with contact exams. The Dr. left me in the office and walked out for more than 20 mins. She spent so little time with me after came back! They didn't have the pair (with precise prescription) for me to try. After the exams she said she would reach out to me in 1 or 2 weeks to decide what prescription to go to. She specifically said she would reach out to me, I don't need to call her! Of course she didn't reach out to me after more than 2 weeks! When I called the office the front desk told me normally you call us!

This office is always very professional and easy to visit for regular appointments. What stands out is the emergency visit I just made with Dr. Coday. After watching my Golden State Warriors fall to the Lakers last night I started to notice dark spots in my eye. Realizing something might be wrong I called the office. By this time it was late and after hours. Dr. Coday was incredibly accommodating. She is brilliant and very skilled. She explained things comprehensively performed and exam and I was on my way. Awful customer service. When I arrived for my appointment there were four receptionists and one other patient at the counter. The "receptionists" refused to notice me and were giving hard time to the patient whom they apparently grossly overcharged for her glasses. I have no idea why they need four people at the reception desk to deal with one customer. Finally, when I asked to be helped, two of the receptionists began taking my information, while at the same time taking information from a third patient. So here we were - two receptionists and two patients cross-pollinating our personal data. The entire process felt surreal and I asked to cancel my appointment and left. I would not trust this place to do a good job and would not advice anyone to use them, except maybe if you would like to experience the excitement of a flea-market while having an eye exam.
