You cannot effectively diagnose and treat vision problems without realizing that our vision is directly connected with the entire body & brain. What affects one will invariably effect changes in the other.

The office staff has been so rude to me and when I had my appointment, I waited for hours to see Dr. Z for a few minutes. I flew from California. Worse part is I have been wearing the glasses for a month and syntonics and have had 0 improvement. It actually hurts and makes my headache worse. Yesterday I broke from our family's usual covid isolation, followed my nagging motherly instinct, masked up with my kid and flew him to Chicago to see Dr. Zelinsky. Our son is bright, and a good student, but it has always seemed that he has to try 4x harder than other kids to do the same job. He has 20/20 vision, but takes hours and hours to do his homework, and weeks to read a book he is interested in. Doctors have suggested he has ADD, but medication never seemed to make any difference. He is also high functioning on the spectrum and was previously diagnosed with auditory processing disorder. From the first phone consultation, the team at Mind Eye were extremely welcoming and professional. Once we arrived in the office, my son took "pre-tests" administered by an associate of Dr. Z's, and afterward met the Doctor herself for more testing. Her manner was friendly and straight forward, and as previous reviewers mentioned, at times a bit abrupt, but that didn't bother us. Dr. Zelinsky did tests for both vision and hearing, and found that not only were my son's eyes not working together, they were also not tracking. His right eye skipped words and lines, and his left eye fell off the page like a skier falling down a mountain. We also discovered that his hearing was completely off on his left side, and his auditory processing and vision were not in sync. Finally, hours after our arrival she selected a lens combination that she put in front of my son's closed eyes. Incredibly, eyes still closed, he passed the same hearing tests with flying colors! Then he opened his eyes to see through the lenses. For the first time probably in his life, my teen son was speechless. He said it was so hard to describe, but he could see, REALLY SEE, and it was "so easy!". Reading the same passages with the lenses was completely different - he could see all the words without skipping! After removing the lenses he said, "I'm so blown away. I didn't realize how blind I was." His reaction was so honest and dumbfounded, it made me cry. We are so grateful to Dr. Zelinsky. My son has his motivation back, and is looking forward to schoolwork (and life) being easier. At first I felt a little crazy wanting to fly my kid half way across the US following what seemed like mother's intuition, and no "real" proof of how much my kid was struggling. The visit wasn't cheap, and our deductible is so high it was not covered, but after the fact my husband and I wish we knew about the Mind Eye Institute when our kid was in first grade instead of 12th. I hope the work she is doing changes the standard for eye exams in our country, so that kids like mine are not misdiagnosed and go through life working so much harder than they need to. Our family highly recommends the Mind Eye Institute. Worth every penny.

This place is absolutely horrible. From the first visit for a year the worst customer service I have ever ever gotten. I have never written a review before and this was worth the effort. Do not go there. Its crazy expensive and you will have to kill yourself to get the information you need about what is going on and the exercises explained. At one point I followed up so many times and still at the visit I was doing them wrong. I should have not continued after the first visit but was hoping this would help my daughter. I have not seen considerable improvement in her hearing and vision as was explained I would see drastic results in three months. I have been diligent in all exercises for a year and again am frustrated as I called due to a filter falling off and it took a month for the new filter to arrive. Even then we were given instructions to place them on the wrong side. Now they are charging an extra $1000 per visit. I will never recommend this place. We drove far and invested a ton of time in this and are quitting halfway through. I do not want to even give one star.

I was there yesterday and am fascinated by the testing, and the way Dr. Zelinsky explains the brain. She really listens to details and takes the whole person into account. I’ve traveled hundreds of miles to many doctors to find help for chronic medical issues and Dr. Zelinsky really gets it. The staff were all friendly and the process streamlined. I cannot wait to get my glasses and start healing my brain. I will also be scheduling appointments for my kids ASAP.

Dr. Zelinsky is a miracle-worker. If other doctors have no idea how to cure you, tell you you're 100% healthy when you know you're not, and/or look at you like your crazy, go see Dr. Zelinsky.

I heard from them after trying by several other doctors, without success, after being with them I saw for the first time in my life wonderful results!! I was yesterday for the third time there, once evaluation, and twice follow up, each time I enjoyed extremely much, the friendliness, service, science, knowledge, no one rushes, treats me like I am The only patient today, they trying out all the ways that can help me, yesterday alone I was there an hour and three-quarters! The glasses they gave me - thank God - helped me a lot while reading. It's really very expensive, but it's worth every penny!! you pay exorbitant prices you do not pay anywhere, but you get what you do not get anywhere!

It's a little change, but it was so worth the money for me. These glasses help get rid of headaches and help with my sensitivity to sound. They were very expensive, but at that up to equal all the painkillers you use for headaches and it comes even. Thank you, mind eye. (It took me several months to notice the good I was getting, but I'm 100% sure these glasses help me)
