I want to start by saying I think its important to support local businesses, but that being said my Mother went to the Devon eye clinic a year ago to do the same which she was quoted $750 for glasses, she could not afford the lump some so she made payments, she had paid $400 so far and once finding out that everywhere else was cheaper.... and not by a bit but by $400 cheaper she felt as though she had been taken. She then proceeded to ask for a refund or even partial and they said they had already made the lenses and glasses but refused to show her. This is very upsetting and I feel they took advantage of her good nature for that matter, and the fact that she is a senior. Shane Bade, not sure why it says my sons name at the top

The people here are really great and are very professional. The exams are thorough and products are high quality. So why 3 stars? Price. My glasses here were nearly triple the cost of the same glasses I got from Costco. Nearly identical product. I believe they have a price matching deal now that might help but if I'm getting an estimate at Costco, I might as well just order them there...

The entire experience was positive. From booking my appointment online through the eye exam and then selecting my frames and leaving. The Eye exam process was well done with minimal waiting periods. The staff was pleasant and positive and the direct billing to my health insurance provider was fantastic. I was not expecting it to go bad at all, however, the whole process was much more simple and pleasant that I had expected. Highly recommend.

I was blown away by my experience on April 20th, 2015. I went in to see Dr. Krein and first started with an amazingly warm welcome from the administrative assistant. She took all my information, and anything she didn't fully understand (she was being trained), she was quickly helped by another employee. Following that I was kindly escorted for the first section of my checkup and the lady (was it Anne or Anna?) was amazingly patient and relaxed. I then had my appointment with Dr. Krein and he was extremely knowledgeable, had tremendous patience, was amazingly honest, and perfectly figured out my astigmatism (worse in my left eye). I was not even pressured into buying glasses directly from them but chose to anyway, given how amazing they were. Several of the ladies helped me with choosing a pair, took all the time in the world to help, and then explained how it all worked with getting a prescription. I had no clue what transitions were, and they kindly explained it to me, so I chose to get it in my prescription glasses. They were very clear, worked through submitting my claim to my health insurance, and made me feel like a million bucks. So thank you to all the employees at Devon Eye Clinic. I don't know if I've had such an enjoyable experience in any office anywhere before! I *highly* recommend it to anyone for optometry. EDIT: After receiving my pair of glasses, they were very caring, open for questions, and said they were always available if I needed to see them for adjustments or anything. I am extremely pleased with my new prescriptions (first time ever wearing glasses) and I'm very thankful that I chose Devon Eye Clinic. Highly recommend.

Going here was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. For 20+ years I was told that my legally blind right eye had lazy eye and that there was no way to treat it. In the past year, my vision in my left eye was starting to deteriorate as well so I came here. Not only did he make my better eye perfect, he properly diagnosed my right eye as having stigmatism, not lazy eye and got it from legally blind to better than the good eye had been before lenses! Literally a miracle worker. I had been misinformed and misdiagnosed for over 20 years by other Doctors! I went in from feeling "I'm going blind..." to getting my glasses and feeling "I have super human cyborg vision" . Great staff too and fun high tech tests. Thanks so much Devon Eye Clinic!!! 8D

RAVE to Dr. Ambrosio and all the ladies at the Devon Eye Clinic. Family appointments today...one kid over enthusiastic to be examined and one every bit as hesitant. The ladies were so patient answering all of my littles questions, letting them see all of the cool eye pictures take. Dr. Ambrosio is professional, energetic, patient, and UBER-great with children. I have an incredibly shy and apprehensive pre-schooler, but Dr. Ambrosio has a magic ability to make any child immediately at ease. He also did my own eye exam, and was great with that. I was pretty anxious about the fact that I have to make the switch to bi-focals for the first time in my life (the fun of aging eyes), but I have to say that everyone at the clinic made this transition more than bearable for me. And I have to mention that Wendy and Deb at the front managed to go so far above and beyond for my son and I... I am literally speechless.. and just so very thankful for these beautiful souls. Amazing!

I switched to this eye clinic from one in Spruce Grove and it is worth the drive. Dr. Krein is thorough, professional, and caring. When I was having problems with my eyes, he took my concerns seriously and ensured that I got the attention and treatment necessary. He is an excellent optometrist. The rest of the staff is also amazing! They are always so friendly and welcoming, and they patiently helped me pick out new glasses, sharing their opinions to help me make a choice that I was happy with.

I always want to support local since I recently moved to Devon. The prices were much higher than anywhere else but I decided to try it anyways. When I saw Dr. Klein, we were chatting about me wanting contacts and a trial pair. I never have an issue with this anywhere else but he mentioned that "we are not on the same wavelength" and said I should just stick to the my original optometrist. "wavelength" LOL. The last time I heard that was from a hippie friend. Anyways, this has just been a hassle since the beginning. I got charged for a contact exam he said he completed but now they said they havent done it. I also had to call and email them to get my prescription as I never got it right away. That took a few days to get as nobody was in the office or replying to emails. I wont be going back since we are not on the same "wavelength" as Klein said. Having to wait 4 days to get a response back, being told an exam was done and being charged for it when it wasnt done etc etc etc. He says he's been doing this for 30+ years, some people just seem to think they know it all at that point. Wont be going back. I have mentioned to many people to not waste your time here. Repeat and referral is huge. I have mentioned to a few people not to go here.
