This is a real nice clinic to go for your eye exams. Doc Shannon is a wonderful doctor who is very knowledgeable, very welcoming, listen to your questions very kindly, answers them in a simple and easy way. All her staff are very good. I recommend people to visit this eye clinic if you are looking a good place. I am really glad to have my first eye exams here. I still have some follow ups and more excited to be there again. Wonderful staffs and well equipped! Lucky to have this beautiful eye Care centre in our city.

To be fair the doctor was good during the examination uses excellent equipment answers questions to keep you informed. However, the product they use are expensive. They will upsell and talk you into buying a product you don’t want. However, you don’t have to accept any product you don’t want either. Stand firm. Know what you want and stand by that. Be prepared to stand firm and you may be annoyed by having to do that as standing firm gets emotional. If they see you do not want to over spend they will use a sales tactic of shaming you by pointing to the “economy” section and they will be polite and subtle but you may feel like you have just been touched inappropriately and insulted because this is an attempt to shame you for being on a budget. The “economy” rack is full of ugly frames deliberately placed there to discourage a purchase from the “economy” rack. In comparison, you can compare the “economy” frames with major brand names not worth mentioning in this review. The price of high profile major brand names will get you a good frame and if your shallow you may derive a boost to your low self worth and you may walk away from a salesperson using car salesman tactics with your dignity but at an exorbitant price for which you shouldn’t have to pay. But that is they’re job as sales people must meet monthly quotas and are paid by commission so they lose sight of your humanity and dehumanization is likelier to occur. Even if they’re not paid by commission why the upsell?When you stand firm on what you want they will assume you have no money and won’t offer you the expensive scratch resistant anti-fog/glare coatings. So you will have to ask for it if you want that. Otherwise you won’t get it. The glasses you pick from the brand name high profile names rack may not be what you get either. They will get you something close to what you tried on but when you get your glasses 8 to 10 days later, you may not notice it but they switched your glasses on you. You can take them back I suppose but you will have to wait another 8 to 10 days and they may make you wait longer for demanding the frames you asked for in the first place. But if you don’t mind the huge inconvenience of waiting another 8 to 10 or more business days and have an old pair you can use then do that, get what you paid for, demand it. I gather this place is for the richest people or people who think they’re rich but they’re ordinary common folk like us who cannot help but delude themselves with an imagination that they’re rich. If your lower middle class with an family income of $120,000.00 or less, you should find some place else to go because to shop with dignity and respect you will need a much higher family income or have insurance coverage to offset the exorbitant cost of seeing properly at this place. Common folk will surely be treated with discrimination while the upper class are most welcome. Classism, Racism, Discrimination, are violations of our birth right our citizenship rights enshrined in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, our highest law which all laws, regulations, policies must be consistent with the Charter. Human rights law is our most sacred and highest law and we should be aware of this so that we can be treated with human dignity and respect. That’s what this place needs to know so that they can learn more about providing a humane service to all deserving people no matter their income, race or perceived race, politics and other protected characteristics listed in the Manitoba Human Rights Law, Manitoba’s highest provincial law which all provincial laws must remain consistent.

After reading their webpage and seeing that they did eye glass repair, I stopped in to see if they could adjust the 3 pairs I had ordered online. I had been looking for a place to get a good pair of glasses and figured if this place had good customer service, I would purchase glasses here. Well, what a disappointment. The receptionist was very friendly and that was the only good thing I experienced here. After learning why I was the she said they could absolutely help me and directed me to another lady. This lady from the start did not look very interested in helping me. I told her I had 3 pairs of glasses I needed adjusted. She asked if they were from online and there was a charge. Her tone was very condescending and I felt like it was a waste of her time to help me. I wasnt surprised there would be a fee - they shouldn't have to fix it for free! She asked another lady across the store what the fee was for online glasses. I thought the lady had said $5....but then the lady "helping" me said $35! I said $35?? Each or for all 3 pairs? And she said each....so I again asked, So over $100 to adjust the glasses? I was quite astonished....all I needed was to adjust nose pads and they were going to charge almost the price of a pair of single vision glasses. I told her Wow, no thanks, I'll go somewhere else. I've been to other places and they've charged $20 or they ask for a donation to their charity box. And to be quite honest it was her attitude that really bothered me. Needless to say I will not be supporting their local store and I will just have to go to a larger chain. They will not get my eyeglasses purchase or my families, who prefer to purchase at a store instead of online. Maybe if their customer service was better they wouldn't have lost future business.

Started at the front desk, the staff is friendly and welcmes you with a huge smile on their faces. They pay attention and take care of their patients continuously since the moment you walk in, until you leave. Doctors are professional, patient and explain everything in detail. I have never had better experience at the optometrist. Definitely best place in Winnipeg. Huge selection of frames etc. And they use modern technology to examine your eyes. Definitely recommend this place.

Staff was knowledgeable and very, very helpful—not “pushy” at all when I browsed their massive eyeglass frame collection. Any question I had during my eye exam was answered, and Dr. Smith was informative & friendly. I will be setting up future appointments for my children to get their eyes “mapped”, as I feel it would set a baseline of reference for the health of their eyes. Excellent service, and care from Dr. Smith and her team!

Was at See Eye Clinic to have my eye's examined. The exam showed I had some vision problems. I needed Bifocal glasses. I found the Clinic to be quite stylish, carrying a wide selection of glasses. The test's were fast and accurate. The staff and the optician were very accomodating. I had an excellent experience and have now found a new Optometrist.

Been to a few eye clinics in the last 6 years without given any important information after finishing eye exam. I felt discouraged when the dr I've been seeing would just rush me out when writing the prescription. Came here to change optometrist for the first time and I'm very happy by the service here. The receptionist here are professional and Dr. Natasha Sookermany been very informative with the information she given me and answering my questions. Most likely be coming back here again to get my eyes checked up!

Always a great experience and the optomap is a great feature of the eye exam. I should also mention the Dr. Smith found a retinal detachment on my optomap and I was into surgery 2 days later - so I still have perfect sight thanks to her and the optomap.

Was clean and modern, staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The reason I’m giving one star is because they charged me an addition $40 to write down my prescription and said it was not part of the $80 exam fee. I have been wearing glasses my entire life, and get an exam every two years, rarely do I buy my glasses from the same location I have my exam and I have NEVER been charged an additional fee to have my prescription written down. I will not recommend this location to anyone, nor will I return.

Dr. Smith and her staff are the absolute best and I have always been extremely impressed by their service and high tech equipment. They are friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. Dr. Smith truly cares about her patients and I really appreciate the time she and her team took to help me find the right contact lenses for my difficult eyes. Horrible sums up this establishment. The only reason I gave them one star is because I cannot post my comment without one. My wife and I attended this store, and the only eyecare she received was to the credit card. The overpriced glasses don't fit correctly and still don't after a fictitious adjustment. Her vision also wasn't corrected. My advice to anyone contemplating using this company is to steer as far away as possible.

I had been to the clinic myself a while back and was extremely impressed so when my 84 year old Mom desperately needed an eye exam, I highly recommended See Eye clinic. They eye exam was way more extensive then her previous exam a a different place and Dr. Shannon took a lot of time to listen to my Mother’s present issues. She explained the importance of getting the best quality lens and how camera comes led the way in that field. She was so thorough she even impressed my Mother, who can tend to be quite sceptical. After the exam, another lady whom I wish I had gotten her name, showed her some glasses and had an amazing eye for finding the right style and colour to suit my Mom’s taste. Today we picked up her new glasses and they look amazing. My 84 year old Mom could read a better than a 20/20 level! She is thrilled. I will never go anywhere else and I know my Mom is as well. Do not hesitate to go here! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars for the exceptional care and select.

Came here a couple weeks ago as I was seeking for a new Optometrist. The staff are friendly and professional. When getting the eye exam with Dr. Shannon, she explained everything clearly and definitely knew what she was talking about. Most optometrist just want to get you in and out as fast as they can. Dr. Shannon thoroughly examined my eyes with the utmost care. As a new patient, I highly recommend Dr. Shannon and their staff to take care of your eyes. You will not be disappointed!

My son and I had a very bad experience there last month. Our appointment was at 12 pm and at about 12:25 we were still waiting. When I asked what time the doctor would be ready, the receptionist said it would be soon but she refused to check it out with the doctor. After waiting for another 10-15 minutes a female doctor came out to get my son in. After the exam the doctor didn't explain to me about the situation of my son's eyes right way. Instead she asked me if the exam fee was covered by the Manitoba health even at the beginning I showed the receptionist our Manitoba health card. The female doctor barely answered my questions such as when I asked if my son should have a pair of prescription glasses, she said it was up to me without ant further explanation.

Having serious eye issues my entire life, I found their level of service, genuine concern and complete care beyond exemplary. Both doctors and their front line staff are always courteous, welcoming and ensure they deliver a solid care experience. They are sensitive and attentive to the whole patient, not just symptoms presented. Aside from regular check-ups, they accommodate emergent situations and follow through on patient care. Their hours accommodate evenings and weekend appointments, and parking is free! They have a large selection of frames and sunglasses with a no pressure sales tactic, just complete customer service delivered by the most pleasant staff I have ever encountered in a medical office. I highly recommend See Eye Clinic, they deliver on all counts!

Quick, very friendly and knowledgeable service. Very good support team assisting with insurance claims including direct billing. My recommended go to place for vision and eye health checkups. Be prepared to take your shoes off though and wear some supplied sandals.
