I was getting bad headaches that started about five years ago and it got to a point where I was getting them almost every day. My family doctor asked that I go see an optometrist based on my symptoms. I had never met Dr.O before but I told him about how I was feeling and he did a very throughout exam, finding out something that no other optometrist had found before: that my eyes were focusing at significantly different distances. He changed my prescription and gave me advice on behavioural changes I could do that would help. My headaches have honestly been reduced by 80%. Today, I had another exam with him and he got my prescription to a point where with my glasses I now have 20/15 vision, which will help with my job as a paramedic and in my studies at university. They also now have a store attached to their clinic where you can buy prescription eye glasses. I was so impressed by the variety of brands and brands I hadn’t seen in places like LensCrafters or pearl vision. Plus they offer different kinds of lenses that aren’t offered at those stores. Overall, the staff are very professsional, kind, and they really know their craft. Thank-you to Dr.O and all the staff at Prairie Eye Care.

I brought my 3 little kids in July 2021 for eye check up and I could say overall the experience was great. The staff are all professional and friendly, the place is clean, and the Dr. Lee was patient and awesome. We also had a transaction in which we had to defer and cancel a purchase for an eyeglass with no problem. The refund of our payment was done swiftly.

The reception there with the glasses really needs to get over herself. The attitude is so rude and unwelcoming. We went to book an appointment but just the crappy attitude turn us away. The management really needs to tell these people how to smile. If we're giving you money and we want to be your customers, you are supposed to show some respect in return.

I can't describe just how much I'd recommend Prairie Eye Care, I've been coming here for 6 years and I can't speak highly enough about Dr. Owusu and his team. They make going to the eye doctor not just painless, but enjoyable. It really does feel like you're just visiting your friend, because you are. Prairie Eye Care really is the 96' Bulls of optometry.

Unfortunately, I was given the wrong prescription for my new glasses, a .25 difference made my eyes feel tired from the strain of a higher prescription. I didn’t figure it out til I moved provinces and went to an optometrist in BC after several months. Plus the lenses were so thick. I compared the technology they used at Prairie eye to the ones I’ve gone to here in BC and they have very outdated lens technology. I called to ask if they could be redone (before I found out about the faulty prescription) since I wasn’t even warned how thick they would be. I should’ve at least been told of other frame models that would help hide the thickness. $250 down the drain.. I switched back to my old glasses since my prescription didn’t change. They didn’t diagnose me with dry eye which was making my vision blurred. My bf also received services and found out after going to an optometrist in BC that he was misdiagnosed as well. More money down the drain. He had to get new specialized glasses that was specifically targeting his eye fatigue. If we didn’t find out and continued wearing these glasses with the wrong prescription we would both be worse off in our eye health.

I highly recommend Prairie Eye care, I have been coming here since 2015. Dr Marco is AMAZING. He's patient, answers my questions. He's not about sales like some of the other bigger clinics. He provides good knowledge so you understand what's going on with your eyes. I am diabetic and he takes great care in making sure to check to make sure they're no issues withe my eyes due to that. Jen was amazing with me helping me pick out glasses as this is my first time wearing glasses. Thank you everyone at Prairie Eye Care for the EXCELLENT service!

Was in a rush to send us out, did not even let us try the glasses, came back after 5mins to have it adjusted because it was tight and said that we need to book an appointment for the adjustment! They let us wait outside (freezing cold) until they let us in… if we did not have the warranty under their company we would’ve just went somewhere else!

I found a pair I fell in love with, but I was interested in another colour online. She ordered it in and the turn around time was outstanding. Dr. Phipps and Dr. O are fantastic. They are so thorough and have exceptional communication skills. I love how they are able to explain complex medical issues in an easy to understand way. I take my entire family to see them and Dr. Phipps has been especially engaging and caring with my young children. I also regularly recommend that the high performance athletes I work with attend PEC if they do not already have a family optometrist. PEC is a place you can trust and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for eye care!

Eye exams are $135 at Prairie Eye Care. Oakley Optical is only $90 for the same exam. Bought eyeglasses as well as prescription sunglasses and this place is much more expensive than most other places.

My kids and I went to see eye doctor yesterday at the Garden City branch. Everybody was great - the receptionist who dealt with us was accommodating and served us with a smile, especially Dr. Lee who was so patient with kids, with sense of humour, very engaging and professional. Except for the staff who did the pre-screening. I thought she was just impatient with my 4 year old daughter (first she assisted us but when my lil one seemed to be uncooperative, all she did was to click the button, and left me do the activity with my kid), but she showed the same behavior to my 10-year old son. I only knew it when we were at home and my son told me that the staff seemed to not like her job because she was grumpy - I only explained to my son that the lady might be having a bad day (which is still not an excuse for such poor customer service). I was just giving this feedback to correct the attitude, as one staff's behaviour towards customers will become the company's liability. But overall, the experience was great.

Poor sevice i phoned & spoke your receptionist to book an appointment for myself & for my husband 2 weeks ago and it turned out that they didn't book it.
