I have worked in healthcare my whole life and I have been on both sides of the system... and all I can say is WOW. I wish I could give Mat a million stars. By our interactions and his interactions with everyone in the clinic I could tell that he genuinely cares about not only his patients, but people in general. What I really loved was his attention to my eye health and how it all correlated to my general health. He made it all make sense. He took the time to answer all of my questions, he wasn't rushed at all (like most doctors), and really wanted to make sure that I was comfortable with the information he was delivering, and taken care of by both himself and his staff. Thank you to Orchard Park Optometry for such a wonderful experience. You have a patient for life.

context: i am moving to toronto on Tuesday and my eye was bothering me. Today is Sunday and the mall closes early, tomorrow (Monday) is labour day, and I leave on Tuesday morning. You can understand my dilemma. I called orchard park optometry and told them my situation. The receptionist Sarah and owner + optometrist Dr. Mat Broschak did EVERYTHING possible in their power to get my eyes checked before I moved. They were all booked up but kept me updated all day and then were able to squeeze me in when someone cancelled!! I had such a stressful day and any type of health care practitioner makes me anxious... sometimes to the point of panic attacks and crying. The staff at this location is incredibly kind. Dr. Mat is very knowledgeable and explained everything calmly. I was very grateful for this. I did not feel anxious at all. He gave me an affordable prescription and some new contact solution along with lenses. Obviously, I highly recommend this optometry. Very very appreciative for the amazing work all of you do! Keevn is an optometrist that doesn't only focus (pardon the pun!) on eye health, but who understands that optimal health is protective of vision -- and that diet and lifestyle are key to achieving optimal health. We came from out of town, and had forgotten to pack extra contact lenses. Savannah helped us, and let us email the prescription from our hometown optometrist. And just like that, we got a pair of contact lenses and solution for free! Amazing service, and it made our vacation that more relaxing :D

The customer service is through the roof here! All the girls at the front are amazing aswell, they work very hard and care to ALL CUSTOMERS! I saw Dr. Otte 3 times when I had a very bad eye infection and he was very calming which helped me out a lot but more importantly he was ready to help. We went through a couple Saline rinses and some serious looks into my eyes before we found the perfect solution, but when we did my eyes were cured within 3 days and I had never been happier! Thank you OPO and Dr. Otte!

Our family has been seeing Dr. Broschak for years. Pretty much from when they opened in the mall. We wouldn't go to anyone else. Dr. Broschak is awesome. Unlike some doctors who are more concerned with getting you in and out, he takes the time to talk to you, understand your concerns and provide you with tons of information. He was also critical in identifying a detached retina that I had and was able to get me into a surgeon quickly to get it fixed. Without Dr. Broschak I most likely would be blind in my left eye today had he not spent the time with me he normally does..

My left eye was tearing and very painful so I knew I had to see 'Dr. K Lotti and as soon as possible. I phoned to see if I could see him soon without an appointment. The very pleasant and understanding receptionist suggested I come right in and Dr. Otti would see me before leaving for his lunch break which he did although I could see he was having an extremely busy morning. Dr.Lotti carefully and thoroughly examined my eyes and treated the problem and explained the reason for my symptoms. I felt immediate relief then and ever since. I highly recommend Dr. Lotti and the entire staff. A thoroughly satisfied patient.

I have been seeing Dr. Broschak for several years now. He is always prompt with his appointment times and is very thorough with eye exams. He is very pleasant and open to discussing any questions you may have with regard to eye health. He never rushes you through your appointment and I have recommended him to many friends and family and will continue to do so. The ladies at the front desk are also very pleasant and helpful. If you are new in town or just looking for a very competent eye doctor, contact their office, they are open even during these times of covid-19 and I felt very comfortable with all their protocols they had in place to protect their patients.

I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance. I arrived 15 minutes early. After standing at the counter for several minutes and the three women shuffling papers all over the place I was told they over-booked my appointment time by 5 people. I was finally given an excuse of a computer crash. I had my appointment card to prove I belonged there. Didn't matter. I was told I'd have to rebook. This happened the first time I went there too. I will never go back. Unprofessional service. To that end Lensecrafters has lost my business as well. If my appointment had happened I would have had glasses ordered at Lensecrafters today. Now I have to wait 2 more weeks for an appointment elsewhere. I git a phonecall today from them reiterating their excuse and offering me $20 off my eye exam. I'm diabetic and I have coverage. They know this from my file and that my exam costs NOTHING. Pointless gesture and 3 days too late.

After 7 years of being told I had dry eye, Dr. Otte confirmed what I had thought all along, that my tear ducts in that eye are blocked. He has referred me to someone who can apparently fix it for me. He also prescribed a prescription prism adjustment to correct the vision alignment in my other eye that has been off for 5 years after retinal and cataract surgeries. My home town optometrist has always told me I'd just have to live with it; actually both things in fact. Dr. Otte is patient & very knowledgeable; I am SO happy to have found him!

I don't normally post reviews but my experience with Orchard Park Optometry and specifically Dr. Mathew Broschak was so positive that I felt compelled to share my experience. Since I have some specific optometry needs I used to see an outstanding ophthalmologist when I was living in a higher density population. Since moving to Kelowna a few years ago I have been trying to find a good optometrist with the hopes of eventually being referred to a good ophthalmologist here locally. I buy many of my glasses at Orchard Park Optometry so decided to give Dr. Broschak a try for my annual eye exam. The staff at reception were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful and Dr. Broschak's service was well beyond my hopes and expectations! He is so incredibly personable, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable in his profession. Dr. Broschak spent more than an hour with me to answer every single one of my questions in great detail and even went beyond that to describe my eye conditions, what to expect in the future, and options for corrective lenses in glasses and contact lenses. In the end I decided that Dr. Broschak is more than competent to handle all of my optometry needs and I didn't even bother to ask for the referral. I highly recommend Dr. Broschak and Orchard Park Optometry and I am extremely happy with their services.
