PLEASE READ! Your eyesight is precious, and there are people who care! Dr Lane and his staff are incredible, from start to finish. They listen to your needs and do their very best to help. On top of that, Dr Lane is an amazing and extremely talented surgeon, answering any/all questions, and talking you through the procedure to minimize any anxiety you may have. Best care possible, regardless of what procedure you choose. ASK TO BE REFERRED TO DR LANE AND HIS TEAM, it will be the best decision you could make for your eyesight! I can speak from experience, my other half Jason had been referred to another eye specialist, and his eyesight was never right after his cataract surgery. Dr Lane fixed the problem and we are forever grateful...we rely on Jason's eyes for his work and our livelihood. Was a fantastic experience. Had my 1st eye done in January 9th 2020. Then had my 2nd eye done a week ago in February 5th 2020. Cannot believe how wonderful my eyesight is, 20/20 Vision now. My wife says she cant believe the difference in my driving. Drove the other night and the night vision was incredible., before I didn't like driving at night. I’ve recently had cataract surgery and intraocular lens implants on both eyes and was pleasantly surprised by how painless, quick and smoothly that went both times. A visit to the dentist is definitely a lot more unpleasant! The preparation, procedure and aftercare could not have been better: Dr Lane, his anesthesiologist and staff could not have been more caring. Service levels and care are beyond anything I’ve ever experienced medically. The eye drops that you have to take intensively the first week and continuing with weaning off for 4 more weeks take some organizing, especially when each eye is on a different schedule! It helps to have a smart phone with alarm reminders. My sight is now extremely good and I can even read small print. I am extremely happy with the outcome and highly recommend Dr Lane to anyone for considering this procedure

I was told that I could go for the cataract surgery in both my eyes and then after once I decided I was thoroughly informed of my options. I was given the dates and the surgeries were performed. Pre Op , during and after surgery had been a great and memorable experience for me. Dr. Lane as well as his entire team are real professionals. Promptness in replying call backs , receiving from the parking lot to the returning to the car during the Covid - 19 situation was handled very hygienic way. As for the surgery itself, it is amazing. In November of 2020, I was diagnosed with a cataract in my right eye and it was progressing rapidly. I was told there was a over a two year wait in my area for corrective surgery and was told there were no other clinics in my area that did the surgery. After a very brief search on Google, i found the Lasik Cataract Centre and read the information on their site, which is very impressive. The next day i called their clinic and the young lady who i spoke to was very informative and caring of my situation. She booked an appointment for an assessment for me and carefully explained my options with their clinic. I had the assessment done on March 2 by Dr. Lane and his staff. The assessment was thorough and it indicated the severity of the cataract in my right eye and also informed me of the one starting in my left eye, which I had no idea was happening! After discussing my options with Dr. Lane, I chose to have the surgery in their clinic and it was quickly booked in for March 30th, only four weeks later! The surgery went very well and I am thrilled with the results. Yesterday, I went back for a follow up with Dr. Lane and his team and they too were pleased with the results. When it is time for cataract surgery in my left eye, I will not hesitate to book the surgery with this wonderful group of professionals! Dr. Lane and his entire team are the epitome of professional, courteous and caring about their patients and I strongly recommend them to anyone with cataract issues. All I wanted was to see clearly, cataract were disabling me. Well I found Dr. Lane and the LCC through a relative. I told Dr. Lane on my final visit and checkup, You are The Eye God! From the moment you drive to the door you are met at your car with kindness and assistance into the building. Once inside, wow all staff, and I mean all staff are knowledgeable with procedures and processes. Not an unkind word amongst them. You are certainly treated with respect. No waiting. My procedure day (I chose laser eye surgery at LCC) the same thing kindness and respect. Dr. Lane was right there basically holding my head telling me what to expect as we went through the procedure. His nurses and assistants walking me through the high tech environment step by step. No pain I felt comfortable and in good hands. At the end of the surgery I received my at home care instructions. You even get a treat when your done! My other eye was the next week and then my follow up appointments. My eyes were tested with my new lenses and I have 20/20 vision! My daughter had lasik in January and had such a positive experience that it convinced me to explore other options for myself as well. From my first visit to present day, the staff have been most impressive. They are very conscientious, kind, listen to concerns, answer questions and are very professional. Time management skills are impressive. Upon meeting Dr Lane, the positive impressions went up even more. Dr Lane ‘s quiet and kind mannerisms made me comfortable immediately. He was very thorough and professional. Upon leaving the clinic I had a package of clear information. On the second visit, a staff member informed me that a recent seminar pertained to new technology that might impact my decision about a procedure. Upon discussing it with Dr Lane, he checked my history, and upon consideration, said although it was almost a good fit, it would not give optimum results. That honest feedback made the best choice clearer. The financial difference was substantial in my favor as well. I left confident, with a commitment to have cataracts removed from both eyes, a week apart. The staff provided clear, comprehensive instructions, drops to insert on the surgery dates, and I had positive feelings of the upcoming procedures. The professionalism and pleasantness of the staff, anesthesiologist, and Dr Lane on the first procedure was amazing. Each step of the way was explained. Dr. Lane spoke reassuringly as he used the laser, and infused a complete sense of trust and calm. The entire procedure was absolutely painless! That evening I was unclear about some instructions and left a message with the answering service. Within a half hour Dr Lane called personally and clarified. I was SO impressed! The second eye went just as well. Amazing results! I am very pleased. An unexpected situation occurred a week after my second cataract was removed. I left a message with the answering service over the lunch hour. Once again, Dr Lane himself called back, heard my concern and saw me that same afternoon. I can’t say enough about the professionalism and care demonstrated. Dr Lane and the entire staff couldn’t have done anything better. I am deeply grateful for their care and attention. Dr. Lane's comforting, encouraging voice during the procedure was very comforting. This painless procedure has provided amazing results. Everything is so bright and colours are vibrant. I (we) highly recommend and commend Dr. David Lane at Lasik Cataract Centre in Lindsay as an ophthalmologist and I can understand why he is well respected by his colleagues. I took great comfort in knowing he was going to do my cataract surgery, having taken great care of my wife, Ruth, both with her cataract surgery and her ongoing treatment of macular degeneration. Prior to my surgery, he thoroughly explained why I needed an iridotomy laser procedure in each eye, removing any concern I may have had, and the procedure was done with excellence. The staff working under Dr. Lane was and is very caring, compassionate, accommodating and friendly. And although only there temporarily, the young man who greeted me at my car was a credit to Dr. Lane and his Centre.

Having had my Lasik procedures postponed by the Covid19 pandemic, Dr. Lane's staff contacted me during the closure to assure me that as soon as permitted, my procedure would go ahead quickly and it did. I cannot sing the praises of Dr. Lane and his entire staff enough! I developed rapid progressive cataracts in both eyes and covid delays resulted in me becoming legally blind in the right. I work on a computer thus it was quite difficult for me to complete my job. From the moment I walked into Dr. Lane's office I was greeted warmly by all staff and they were excellent at explaining the tests and procedures they were performing. When I saw Dr. Lane in consultation he was absolutely fantastic! He graciously fit me into his schedule 3 days later to have the right cataract removed. What a thrill it was to regain my vision. A month later Dr. Lane removed the left cataract. During both procedures he talked me through them and made me feel absolutely comfortable. I would recommend him to anyone experiencing visual disturbances!

The Centre is clean, bright and staffed with professionals who make you feel at ease, as they efficiently move you from station to station. Everything is calm and relaxing. There was little discomfort after the procedure, and healing went smoothly. I can hardly believe, that after wearing glasses for 55 years, I am now glasses free, and can see distance better than ever. I would recommend the Lasik Cataract Centre to anyone needing the procedure. The wait times are shorter than at the hospital.
