The staff here are all extremely friendly, happy, and a pleasure to do business with! During the eye exam the optimist always answers my questions and gives me suggestions on how to improve my eyes. The rest of the team have gone above and beyond to help me find glasses and adjust them until they are perfect. Highly recommend!

Received a very thorough and informative eye exam from Dr. Tromposch, and also bought my new prescription glasses from this location. Prices were competitive but I really enjoyed the fantastic selection of frames. Most places have a lot of stock but not much variety, so it was nice to have actual selection and variety. Received my new glasses in less than a week, and was able to get them properly fitted. Highly recommend this place! Keep up the great work!

I've been getting my eye tests and glasses here for several years. Tremendous staff who are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Great selection of frames. Staff are good at identifying what will look best on you based on your face shape, and showing you choices you might not have considered. I've told many of my friends about the great service at 1st Street Eye Centre and they've never been disappointed.

Came on a Monday morning, and asked to get new lenses on existing glasses. Amazing, friendly and super quick service was provided. The lady was very accommodating, knowledgeable and professional. The best part was I received my glasses on the Wednesday morning same week. Would really recommend this place!

The service is really bad. I am not going back to that store any more. The lady who was helping me names Karla, I believe. It almost feel like she is racist to me. Not friendly! Dr. Atwell was very polite and nicely told me that my prescription doesn't need to be changed. However, when I asked Karla for my prescription, she gave me a different set of degrees. I asked her about it and told her what Dr. Atwell said but she refused to double check and when I wanted to speak with Dr. Atwell, Karla refused me. So far I am still confused. I paid $95 for eye exams! With a questionable prescription, how can I order glasses and contact lenses in the future?! It is such a humiliating way to waste money.

A pad fell off my glasses while at work, I've had this happen before and other eyeglass stores would give me a replacement for free, a tiny little piece of plastic. I walk in here and she tells me they "have" to replace both and it would cost $10... Thanks but no thanks

I have been a client of 1st Street Eye Centre fro years. Friday I walked in with my glasses in two pieces. I was worried about how I was going to drive home. The staff were great - I was fortunate that they could take the lens from the broken frame and fit them into another frame that I could use until my glasses were repaired. The staff ordered a replacement front piece for my frame - even though they no longer carry that line of frames. Here it is Tuesday, the new front arrived and my glasses are fixed! Thank you so much for your help.

Excellent service. Dr Tromposch gave me a lot of guidance to deal with my blepharitis issue during my eye exam. Excellent covid protocols including double masking for fitting my glasses. Nice well thought out selection of frames, especially for small faces. I've had difficulty in the past finding stylish frames small enough for my face. Very experienced optician. Good choice of lense options.

Doc was a super friendly and funny guy. Optical staff were fast and friendly too. They have a just-right frame collection - so no "paralysis of choice" that one gets from those massive collections at big glasses stores.

This was the first time that I purchased glasses at this location although I have been going here for my annual eye examinations for many years (25+). Previously I took other options for filling my prescriptions (big box store) not realizing that while the glasses I received were adequate, they in no way compared to results I received with the 2 pairs I purchased here on my recent visit. The lady dispensing the glasses was extremely professional in the manner in which she helped me select the frames and the choice of lenses to accommodate my individual preferences.
