Was so fantastic to be dealing here. Great eye tests, and very decent prices for glasses. Is great having this shop in Hinton. Give them a try!

I personally like dr Omar and the secretary. But I had to go elsewhere. I have cataracts which he knew about. In 2019 I had an exam and my subscription changed so i ordered new glasses. they said 10 days so after 12 days I called and they said it's a shipping issue.so they said should be one more week.i then got them a week later. Approxametly 1 yrs later in 2020 I noticed deterioration in my eyesight. I went back,had a other exam and once again had to upgrade my lenses . Again after calling them at 12 days they said it's a shipping issue. I didn't believe that because amazon doesn't have that many issues with shipping. I believe they forgot to put the order in both times. My opinion. The second exam dr Omar verified that I simply lost vision and it had nothing to do with my cataracts. This was not true as my new optometrist verified that it was the cataracts and immediately submitted a request for surgery.finally after the exam in 2019 dr Omar submitted my case to a specialist in Edmonton. I got a letter saying they would contact me in 8 weeks. 8 weeks went by and I called them and they said I would not get an appointment until they submitted paperwork. I called the optometrist and the secretary stated she does not know what they want. In the meantime I requested to change to calgary due to having family there. Dr Omar's office submitted this and my new specialist was gimbel eye center.when I found out that I had an appt . The Edmonton centre called me in while I was in to see if I could change my appt to saturday from Wednesday. I was a bit perturbed that I did not know about the appt. And they said they told dr Omar's office. I called dr Omar's office and asked why they didn't call me and let me know. The secretary said its not her job. Once I was referred they were done with me. What I did not know was gimbel eye centre had not called. They were still waiting for info from dr omar. I had an appt in Edmonton. I found this out on Thursday when in Calgary. So I called dr Omar's office again. They did they would call gimbel to see if I could get in. By this time I gave up and called them myself. They were so nice and got me in Friday at noon. I asked for a recommendation for a good optometrist, called them and got in at 9am friday. They did the exam and submitted all paperwork to gimbel eye center.i now have a good optometrist that actually cares about me. Like I said I personally like dr Omar and his secretary. I also have expectations on what they provide for me. They didn't do that.

I found both Dr Omar and Heather to be very professional. Heather was very honest while assisting me with picking out frames. She was also great while taking the measurements and making the adjustments for the frames to fit properly. Dr Omar was great during the exam, very friendly, yet professional. I could tell he knew what he was doing and looking for. He explained things very thoroughly to me and made sure that I understood everything that he was checking. I live out of town and Heather was even able to mail my frames to me so that I did not have to make another trip into town to pick them up; I feel like that is above and beyond! I am also able to follow up with Dr Omar at another of his clinics that is closer to where I live, and both he and Heather made sure that I had that contact information. Overall, it was a great experience to go there and I will definitely recommend this clinic to everyone!
