This is not about the professionalism of Dr. Skouras and in no way is a disrespect to his abilities as he is a very respectful Doctor. Rather this is a complaint about the customer service and the receptionist that was there Today. A week ago, I received a call regarding my Grandmother’s appointment. I was told that she is the only one allowed in the office so I explained that my Grandmother doesn’t speak any English and I need to translate for her. I was told that would be fine but both of us need to be wearing mask or we will be denied access (greatly appreciated during COVID-19). So today I took my grandmother to the office. My grandmother is 90 years old and she has problem walking long distance or stand. We walked in to the office (No sign not any direction is posted outside of the door or on the receptionist desk) and my grandma walked towards the sit to sit down. At this time the receptionist said my grandma is the only one allowed in the office while reading the notes and then said “oh she needs a translator”. The she told us, we need to go to the washroom outside the office and wash our hands (again respected during COVID-19). I took her to wash her hand and I washed mine, walked back to the office again she was with another customer, so I was helping my grandmother to go sit, and now she yells again you can’t go in because of social distancing. I explained to her that my grandmother is 90 years old and she has been on her feet for more than 20 minutes and she needs to sit. She responded saying social distancing. I truly believe she has no Idea what Social Distancing means! And there is no clear process to check in patients. Signs needs to be posted with clear direction before entering the office, or when theY call to remind patients about their appointments, they need to tell patients about the procedure to enter the office. Because of the receptionist rudeness and not being considerate about my Grandma’s age, we left and I will never go back to Dr Skouras office.
