My family Doctor directed me to Dr.Cynthia Nardone and I'm so glad she did. I will never enter the doors of another optometrist again. She was extremely thorough and took her time evaluating my eyesight. The receptionists were great also. What a breath of fresh air !!

Wish I could give ZERO stars for this place. First off, the 3 times I've had to call their secretary is beyond rude on the phone. Today, my daughter was supposed to have an appointment at 3:45, as I was 5 minutes away I had the courtesy to call and tell them I would be 5 minutes late as the red hill was completely backed up, they called me back a minute later to tell me that the doctor told me not to show up and I could rebook because they close at 4. Are you kidding me? I'll go back to where we were, who respect their patients not worry about running out the door. Goodbye! They clearly do not care about anyone but themselves. They just lost 5 patients!
This place is great!! Dr Ho was really good at explaining things to me so I understood and took the time to do so. Never felt pressured to buy glasses from them since I usually get glasses online.
Worse experience today. I've been a client since I was a child and all of a sudden because they can not keep track of my record I can not renew my prescription. As time goes on the staff here becomes more ignorant and intoleranable, I believe we pay for service here not attitude and they believe they are able to talk down to you in any way. Let's go back to the time where there was accommodating and polite staff like Anna, moving up the mountain sure did change a lot in some of their egos.
Their diligence saved my father's eyesight. On December 7, 2018, my father went to them after waking up disoriented, with what he described as grey blotches in his field of vision and some bright flashes. They diagnosed him with retinal detachment, which is essentially the retina "peeling off like wallpaper" as they described it to him; a significant portion of his retina was detaching. They told him to go, without delay, to Sunnybrook Hospital's ophthalmology department to have a procedure done to reattach the part of the retina that was peeling off. He went with my mother that morning; at Sunnybrook, the ophthalmologist put in a temporary aid to stabilize his retina for his appointment to have the full procedure done the following Monday (he initially went in on a Friday). Words cannot express the gratitude I feel towards Dr. Nardone and the rest of the staff.

Wow. My family and I have been a loyal customer when this company was down town Hamilton. I followed them to the mountain. Anyways few months now my daughter got eye glasses and it was falling off her face so I went to the store today it get them adjusted. A worker at the door we only doing appointment? How about sending your clients an email or a phone call that policy has changed due to Covid how pathetic. The staff has changed here over the years and I realized it got worst. Mother ( Anna)and daughter had worked here they we so kind and caring but these cold hearted ppl not good. So I called the store while outside they tell me we have an appointment for Thursday it’s take maybe 5 mins she 8 years old. Anyways I told them I will go somewhere else went to lense crafters in lime ridge mall and it was done in 5 mins and it was also free at no cost. I will be taking my business else where due to lack of integrity and heartless people I should of left a long time ago well thank God I am leaving now.
Dr. Nardone was always my eye doc ever since I was a kid. When I had an appointment back in 2018 (or 2019 can't remember), I was late about 2 mins literally due to a car accident that happened right before me on my way to my appointment. I get there and the staff told me Dr. Nardone went home because I was late 2 mins and I was supposed to be the last patient even when I tried to explain the cause. I then told them it was not my fault and been dismissed. I then see Dr. Nardone walk out of his office. Customer service has gone down over the years. I never went back since. Dr. Nardone is great, his staff isn't.
My wife bought a $600 dollar pair of Jimmy Choo glasses here. She had them a short time and she needed to change the prescription. She took them in and while changing the lens they noticed the frames had a defect. They said. Don’t worry they have a 2 year warranty. They fixed the frame and she was on her way. Sometime later she started having the same issue with the frame. The frame was coming apart again. She called and they refused to fix them stating they don’t give a warranty on a warranty. Not sure if they understand how a warranty works but a warranty is for a limited time and if the same thing keeps happening it should be covered. I spoke to someone in the industry and they told me they should be covered by Jimmy Choo. The company most likely just does not want to put in the effort or pay for shipping. So use caution when going here. Buy your glasses elsewhere
Would recomend going to see Dr. Nardone for eye exam. Easy to make appointment over phone and very pleasant people working here. They are able to direct bill my insurance company which is perfect for me. Never had any issues. Always quick and easy.
Been going here for years ushually they phone you for a follow up reminder “ hey its been a year or 2 since your last eye exam come on in “ now they dont & can be rude depending who is working lol.
Before you agree to extra services that are not covered by insurance ask yourself if it is clinically indicated. If you have no medical problems why would you need a retinal scan that costs half of your eye exam that is being performed by doctor? Then they dont even discuss result with the patient. Cash grab!
Doctor Cynthia is the best, she spends enough time for your check up. I always try to get my appointment with her.
This used to be my primary optometrist. I gradually came to like them less as they started up-sells and told a few pretty bizarre lies. The last straw was when I was in the contacts fitting room and overheard the front desk staff making fun of clients. This is a nasty group.
Ordered a year's worth of contacts last year but my insurance ended before they arrived at the office. They called me last month to say that the contacts had been sitting on the shelf, if I could not pick them up by March 31 they would have to be sent back (fair enough). I informed them that my new insurance started on April 2 and they agreed to hold them for me so I could pick them up then. However, when I arrived on April 2, they had already been sent back first thing that morning. I get that mistakes sometimes happen, but the receptionist was cranky and extremely unhelpful about it. She seemed very defensive about the fact that they were sent back despite my arrangement and did not offer to reorder or even provide a trial pair in the meantime. Needless to say, I left empty-handed, and I won't be back.
Refused to fill out a form because my perscription was 9 months old. So instead I now have to pay for a 150$ appointment and then i will be retested anyways in 4 months when i start the job the form is for. Such a scam for money!!!
This was a five star when I was seeing the Nardones. Now the last Dr. I seen couldn't be bothered to give me the time of day. Being diabetic, this is now not the place to go. Also office staff totally was uncooperative to set up an appt. for me at the proper time. Diabetics are allowed 2 visits a year. Last visit I couldn't even get another script for new glasses. I am going elsewhere. Time to fix this or close! I wouldn't have my name on this business now. ????
Been going here for 15 years My husband had 1 problem with the glasses purchased 3 months ago been back 3 times the lenses keep falling out and there constantly bending. Was told we'll refund your money but can never buy glasses here again what kind of service is that we'll never go back
I'm not happy with my right eye I went for cataract surgery through Dr. Nardene on both eyes 1.5 years ago.Dr Chan did the surgery The right eye is worse than it was .I am angry. I would not recommend him
