A couple years ago around Christmas my son's glasses were broken at school by another student. Unfortunately we just bought these glasses and unfortunately they were broke beyond repair. I had to order a new pair...we were unsure how we were going to pay for them especially so close to christmas and having a hard year financially but my son desperately needs glasses and can't see without them. I went to go pick up the glasses. We were given an envelope. Inside from Jolly St Nick himself was the bill and a little note telling us the glasses were paid for and for my son to have a Merry Christmas from the big guy in the red suit. (The staff wouldnt tell me who paid, a big thank you to whomever did) I cried and forever will recommend this office. The staff are absolutely wonderful, they are forever accommodating if you need in for an emergency appointment and ALL The DR.s. are wonderful. Never had a bad experience and we have been going for almost a decade.

Dr. Timpano is attentive, knowledgeable, thorough, professional and friendly. He explains things well and is also great with my kids. He has been reassuring with measuring my daughters weakening eye muscles and offered to follow her more frequently to help us reduce extra trips to the pediatric ophthalmologist when I'm unsure if her eyes are changing. We also saw the opthalmologist in Guelph who Dr. Timpano recommended and vice versa which shows he is also respected in the field. He was generous to us when I had to buy new frames for myself and my daughter (who needed the more expensive prism lenses) as he offered to reduce part of the fee which was an unexpected pleasant surprise. The staff I speak to at Edinburgh Optometry are all pleasant and helpful from the front desk, glasses area and the assistants performing tests. We moved recently and I haven't found the same care where we live so I am considering driving 2 hrs to remain patients of the clinic because I know it is that good. Thank you!

My wife booked an appointment for 12:45 but they called at noon to ask why we haven’t arrived yet?! Booking appointments times should be an easy task but they have a hard time doing this at Edinburgh... this is the second time this has happened! We don’t have a problem keeping any other appointments, it’s just here because they change it on you.

We've seen doctor McNeill for 25 years. She communicates well with our GP when necessary, and eye surgeons. She listens to what we need and gives us good choices. She's patient when we can't tell which lens is better and explains things clearly at the level we want, which varies with family member. The rest of the staff is equally good. They listen to what I did during the day and said bifocals might be a better choice than progressives. I like a lot of lens area at each distance. I went with progressives, because my friends all said to, and discovered the staff was correct.

Dr. Wright was lovely with my daughter and would come see her again if she worked in a different office. The staff were extremely unreasonable with me wearing a visor instead of a mask. They were willing to deny my daughter medical care if I didn’t put a mask on. I wear the visor for medical reasons but they didn’t seem to care about that. It was either leave my young child alone or put one on. Although they have a whole set up so you don’t interact with other patients or staff while there, they still weren’t willing to let me wear the visor which does cover my mouth, nose, and chin. I also thought it was interesting that they didn’t have any issues with my daughter not wearing a mask but did for me. I won’t be visiting again

I have been a long standing customer for over 10 years, I get there my prescription eyeglasses and my eye exams. Their prices have been increasing as is expected throughout the years, but because my group insurance with my employer hasn't increase the coverage, I went someplace else cheaper for my eye exam, besides the appointment was given next day, and that is what I needed, however I went there to get my prescription, and despite of anybody saying anything I could see their shock on their faces because I went someplace else and next time I will go completely someplace else, their prices are getting way too high, between two group insurances, my insurance and my wife's insurance I can barely buy one pair when in the past (two years ago) I was able to buy two pairs or one pair and 80% of the second pair, not this year I would have had to pay 80% instead of 20% out of my own pocket. This time the staff who helped me was great, last time the person helping me didn't give me the invoice as I requested for insurance purposes, all in the same one, but in two separate invoices, there were two eyeglasses and both were the same price, so the insurance thought that I was claiming the expense twice, therefore more delays in getting my money back, a waste of time and hassle. The eye exam at the other place was as good and as pleasant as it has been with Dr. Timpano, who is great, just cheaper, sorry that everything gets down to that sometimes, but that's the way it is.

Dr. Furfaro and the front staff as well as Victoria are nothing short of amazing. They are thorough, caring and accommodating. They take eye care seriously and are always so professional and helpful. They are all truly caring human being who treat you genuinely like a person and not a number or a dollar sign which is rare to find these days.

Dr. Bray is a fantastic optometrist, especially when dealing with patients with special needs. Front Staff are mediocre, extra efforts to accommodate for and communicate with patients would be an improvement. Appointments are speedy once you are with the doctor and parking has been easy for each visit.

this clinic charges more than what my insurance provider deemed was reasonable. as a result, I was left with out of pocket expenses for my exam. I recommend checking with your insurance provider first before seeing this clinic or shopping around for a better price. not sure why this clinic feels they need to charge more than the avg cost for an eye exam in ontario. based on other reviews it seems like others also have issues with their costs. my wife and I have very good coverage with a large provider.

I’m always nervous for doctors appointments but everyone at Edinburgh Optometry was amazing and made me feel really comfortable. Dr. Wright was very thorough and presented me with multiple options for my eye concerns. The girl that did my pre-testing was also very nice. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that needs an eye exam.

The staff at Edinburgh optemetry were wonderful to me last week when my glasses snapped and I needed help urgently. They not only took the time to listen to my issues and do everything they could to help me promptly. Very rarely have I seen an establishment that TRULY cares about their customers more than their bottom line. Prices were also more reasonable than every optometrist I called in Guelph. You people are wonderful and have a new lifelong customer in me. Would recommend this establisment to everyone!

All the workers (doctors and staff) are kind and helpful my eye doctor is Dr MacNeil very nice and polite and when l had to have other eye doctors to look at my eyes they were nice and polite so if you have an issue they will always try to get you in to one of their doctors. Great place to go for a eye doctor!
