Not an expert with optometrists and haven't had to see many (thankfully), but I was overdue for an exam. Went to see Dr. Yee because he is close to home and because of his perfect five star rating. Well, all I can say is believe the hype! This was the best doctor visit I've ever had! Dr. Yee is very thorough, patient, and approachable. He answered every question confidently and in a way I can relate. Glad he is in my neighborhood, because he is now my official optometrist / eye doctor! Thanks a lot!

Dr Yee turned what could have been a bad day into a great day. I live in New York and I broke my glasses while at a weeklong retreat near Guelph. They were not repairable. He made me a pair of reading glasses right then and there so I could continue my writing at the retreat. He was very knowledgable, personable and kind. I highly recommend his services.

Dr. Yee is very professional and informative with eye exams. He describes what is about to happen with each test and what you should expect every step of the way. He also cares more about making sure that his recommendations cater to what is right for you instead of trying to up sell to make money. I would definitely recommend going to see him if you don't currently have an optometrist or if you are unhappy with your existing one.

I had an eye exam at Dr. Yee and associates and it was the best experience I've ever had with regards to eye testing. He was very professional, welcoming, friendly and polite. He explained everything that was going to happen during the exam and the reasons for it. He was very honest and provided recommendations, but didn't push anything as some optometrists with their own practice tend to do. We went to Dr. Yee because of all these Google reviews, and we were not disappointed. It was by far the most comprehensive and pleasant optometry experience we've ever had. Dr. Yee is patient, friendly, and seems to really care about his patients and the quality of the work. So much of the vision exam were techniques I've never seen before. The dude is thorough! My wife, 1-year old daughter, and I all went in at the same time. It probably took 3 hours for us total, which is a while I suppose, but in the end we had contact and glasses prescriptions that have never felt so good. There is no turning back now. He was particularly effective and patient with our 1-year old and was able to give her a full eye exam. We were blown away. We give a loud and enthusiastic recommendation for Dr. Yee!

He also stayed late to ensure the proper prescription was ordered for my child. I woke up on a Saturday morning with eye distress and I didn't have an optometrist in Guelph yet. I called Dr. Yee, explained the situation and he took me right away. After a few more appointments over the subsequent month, I can firmly say that the service and care that Dr. Yee provides is first rate. He is professional, helpful and he listens. I don't have another healthcare provider quite as good as Dr. Yee.

Hands down the best service I've received from any health care professional (optometrist, doctor, dentist, etc) in my life. My partner and I went to Dr. Yee on recommendation from a friend and had a wonderful experience. Through the testing process Dr. Yee explained each step and made us feel involved. I dare say getting our eyes tested was fun! Afterwards we did not feel pressured to purchase frames, but Dr. Yee was wonderfully supportive. When trying on frames he gave us honest feedback of what he thought looked best with our facial structures/personalities and what lenses he thought would be best for us/what we would enjoy most. For him money is not a motivator, it's making the client happy that's key. If there are frames or lenses you want, but Dr. Yee thinks you'll be happier with a cheaper alternative he'll tell you because he wants you to love your glasses not drain your pockets (walked my partner through the transition lenses he wanted to make sure he would be happy and not wasting his money). He billed our benefits company (Great West Life, not sure if this is an option with other benefit companies) directly so we only had to pay the difference upfront. He also made sure our glasses fit perfectly and kept us updated when one of the machines in the lab broke delaying one of our frames (short wait, not Dr. Yee's fault, and he apologized many times). A very non-painful process all around! We are still loving the glasses Dr. Yee! Thank you again, and we'll see you next year! - Terry and Guy

My experience with Dr. Yee was the best I have ever had at an optometrist. I have changed optometrists a few times due to moving and have never experienced anything close to the services of Dr. Yee. He is not arrogant or rude like some, and is very down-to-earth and involved with his business and all of his patients on an individual level. Dr Yee is very knowledgeable, patient and explains all of the tests and procedures in easy-to-understand language. He answers all of your questions without an attitude or making you feel stupid. I received a very thorough eye examination for my first appointment and really felt that Dr. Yee was not rushing through my appointment and was making sure everything was checked properly. When I went to Dr Yee to get glasses, I was in a very tight financial situation at the time. He did not make me feel less in any way and was very quick and helpful to come up with the best solution for me in those circumstances. I am very happy with my new glasses, and the quality of service provided by Dr. Yee and Associates. My family and I will be going to Dr. Yee for all of our eye care needs from now on.

*****THIS POSITIVE REVIEW IS NOT INCENTIVE DRIVEN**** First off, it makes me mad that one of the people reviewing Dr. Yee said that most of the positive reviews are incentive driven. That person is in fact completely wrong. It’s unfair to claim someone is pretty much bribing their patients in exchange for positive reviews, just because that individual’s experience didn’t go their way. I don’t know what happened to that person, but I know I had an outstanding experience. Yes it’s different that Dr. Yee performs all the roles in his office, but he does a great job. He’s the only person working there, other than an older gentleman. It does take extra time and he could possibly benefit from bringing someone else in to process patients quicker, but I’m sure if he feels that he needs to bring someone in to help him, he will do it. He has a soothing tone of voice. He is pleasant to talk with. He’s friendly. He’s personable. He made a big effort to remember my name. To me, that alone shows he really cares about his patients. He was very thorough. Like another reviewer said, he used techniques I have never heard of. He’s informative, organized, he explained everything to me in a way I could understand and provides quality work. After the exam, Dr. Yee took the time to help me pick the best glasses for me. He told me when a pair looked good on me or not good. He made sure that they were small enough to fit my face so that when I looked forward, my eyes looked at the right part of the glasses lenses.
