Getting Lasik surgery done was the best decision of my life! I now have better than 20/20 vision and I am sooo happy. This has been incredibly life changing. The procedure was quick and I didn't feel any pain. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. The recovery was also easy and not painful at all. The first day my eyes just felt like I was cutting onions. But I could see my first day and now 2 weeks later I feel amazing. On day two after surgery on October 20th and my results are great (so far- can expect further improvement). I was referred here by the Vaughan clinic for the surgery. It was very busy as there were many people taking advantage of the great financing deal on right now. You do have to wait quite some time on surgery day, but they do tell you that you will be there for 3-4 hours, so be prepared for that. The staff were very friendly and nice! One guy (not sure his name) who was in charge of moving the patients around, administering drops and taking them to queue for surgery was so nice! Very personable and friendly to the patients. He worse glasses and asked us why we chose lasik and made us laugh. Theresa (who took my payment) was also so nice and considerate! Dr.Nia was very calm and instilled trust during our meeting - he asked that I trust him and put my confidence in him. My eyes did sting quite a lot and I was in a fair amount of pain after the surgery, but it only lasted until my vision was tested and they gave me numbing drops. The only thing I will say is actually not a real downside! I live just over 1.5 hours away and had to drive (we’ll be driven by a family member) very early today again for my 24 hour post-op, only to get there 15 minutes before my appointment time and be seen immediately! It lasted about 5 minutes and then we were done. So it was almost too efficient! I have already been recommending to friends and family! I will say that I got the custom wavefront lasik and got lifetime enhancements - which sounds great(!!) but just know that it is conditional on you going to see a lasik md optometrist one every two years. If you don’t then you’re coverage is revoked. They don’t tell you the price of the appointments but from reading reviews here it seems to be about $90. I will say though, that being someone who does not have insurance, an old optometrist charged $150 every two years, plus they try to sell you ridiculously charged glasses and plus you have your contact prescription and saline solution,etc. So don’t be dismayed about the cost, I don’t know if insurance covers the cost of the appointments but if you have it then check it out, and if not then just know that in the long run, $90 every two years is still waaaay less than continuing to live without lasik surgery! (My contacts cost $70+ every 6 months and a friends cost well over $200 every few months!) I had a very strong prescription (full astigmatism-180 and 170 each eye, with a power of -5.00) and my cost reflected that ($4760 for all-laser lasik). The best time is now because of the financing through desjardins! Don’t wait! I’m so glad I didn’t and it’s only been one day!

During my pre-operative appointment at Lasik MD, I thought the staff looked very professional. The receptionnists were especially nice and offered me cookies, apples and coffee, told me to sit down and relax while I waited for my name to be called. The lady who did my pre-operative testing was also very pleasant and nice, she was pregnant therefore we joked a little bit about her pregnancy. I was only a little disappointed with the clinical counselor. He did not seem apt to want to give me any details unless I asked, and even then did not seem very thrilled, however I learned afterwards that it was his first day and he was probably nervous. The overall experience was positive and the staff is very nice in general. I definitely would recommend this clinic to all my friends and family.

All the staff and Dr Adam’s were great. I am not going to lie I was very nervous but everything went as the described in the videos from LASIK MD. I knew exactly what was going on and it felt like the procedure was done very quickly. Some discomfort for the first 20 seconds of the procedure but no pain. I had some discomfort (like having an eyelash in my eye) after the procedure for a few hours but I kept my eyes shut and took the drops as prescribed and rested. The discomfort eased by the hour and by the evening I was relatively comfortable after my early after noon operation. The next day I was seeing 20/20 after my check up. It is really remarkable the ability of what good dr’s, scientific equipment can do, as well as how remarkable the human body is, what it can tolerate and heal so quickly. No surprises for me and everything went as planned. I have worn glasses since I was a little boy of 5 yrs old and had a -5.00 prescription…..all in all pretty much incredible!

My thanks go to the entire staff. Especially my optometrist Moher. He really made me feel comfortable with the process and gave me lots of confidence. My surgeon was amazing. All around great staff. My sight is now 15/20. I see a glow around lights at night but It’s very minimal. I would have never seen that with my previous eyes and I’m still healing. This surgery was very important for me, I put it up for a long time and it was overdue. If you’re looking to do it, I’d say do your research first. Talk to people who’ve gotten it and look online or other’s experiences as well. But if you feel scared, don’t be alarmed, we’re all scared, just think about it it’s not exactly a walk in the park. My best advice is to set up an appointment, it’s free and go from there. They don’t pressure you and you should never go into anything like this under pressure. You’ll be fine. Good luck, cheers!

I had a dry eye before surgery, they did not ignore the issue, they politely explained the concern and gave me solutions for the dry eyes before performing surgery. they made sure my eyes were ready for the procedure which I highly appreciate. Had my Lasik surgery done this past Friday. I surely had a great experience at the clinic. Due to Covid, my initial assessment was done virtually, and the person I spoke with was great! She explained everything with great detail and patience, and answered all my questions. The day of surgery was much better than I had expected. I was obviously nervous but I was provided with great reviews by my friends who had also done their surgery at this location. Janelle was such a great help, and she made the whole experience great for me - can't thank her enough! Josh did all the tests and helped me stay calm by explaining things in great detail. Dr. Johnson was spectacular as well - the actual surgery was super quick, and he explained each step as it was happening. I am not a local and made the drive to London for this, and it was totally worth it. The entire staff was amazing! My vision is now 2020 and my astigmatism is corrected. What a huge difference this has made! I had same after effects as they explained - discomfort, dry eyes, adjusting vision - all in my first week. It should clear up soon, as it is improving every day for me. Love not having to wear glass or contacts anymore!

It has been a week since my surgery and all I have to say it was the best decision of my life. My vision after selecting the all laser custom waveform option is now 20/15 in both eyes. The staff is amazing, seriously the friendliest, sweetest people I have ever met in an office. They treat you with respect and patience throughout the entire process. When you go for the consult you feel cared about, in no way has it ever felt like a money grab like at some places where they try to push the most expensive procedure on you.. You will not find this with Lasik. They care about what's best for your eyes not for their bank. " To customer service and the manager of LASIK MD at the Montreal location: I am writing to bring to your attention an extremely serious issue I had at your clinic in Montreal this afternoon. I am a patient at LASIK MD and I had my LASIK surgery performed in the fall of 2015. A few months ago I noticed that my vision was starting to regress so naturally I booked an appointment with your clinic for a consultation. Here is how my visit went today (May 17th 2017): - Upon arrival and after examinations by multiple doctors I became aware that my vision has regressed again. When asking for the reasons that this have happened the first doctor who saw me, Dr. Natalli responded by saying it happens to 5% of the people and that it is unpredictable; however I am a "perfect candidate" for performing corrective surgery. - Upon seeing the next doctor, Dr. Peter Karwatsky, and posing the same questions he responded by saying that I am too young and my vision is still evolving and therefore there are higher chances of my vision regressing again and that I should wait 6 months to a year before doing corrective surgery again in order to monitor my vision during this period. (This is contradicting information to what Dr Natalli provided). - I proceeded to ask Dr.Peter why was I not told this information about my vision still evolving prior to performing the surgery in the first place and why I was promised to be a "perfect candidate" by your health professionals to which the doctor avoided to answer and directed me to the next person. - The next step was to see someone who went by the name Amanda if I recall from our meeting, she was the one responsible of telling me the costs of my corrective surgery. I posed the same questions asking her why I was deceived into believing I am a "perfect candidate" to which she answered by saying that she "was not working" at the clinic at the time of my first consultation and therefore she "does not know" and is "not responsible" and that she "cannot comment". She proceeded to say that because I do not have insurance I am supposed to pay 1000$ per eye for corrective surgery. - I would like to bring up to your attention that my health is not a toy. I should have been made aware of this information prior to my surgery rather than being deceived by your health professionals who assured me that I was a "perfect candidate" before performing the surgery. The doctor today offered a different explanation saying that I am too young and this is information I should have known before committing to surgery. Due to these obvious contradictions I felt like it is your establishment's responsibility to correct their mistakes and I raised the issue with Amanda. - The lack of understanding and professionalism I received from the staff who helped me, particularly Amanda and her supervisor who refused to even see me when I asked to talk to her is concerning, particularly in the language used and avoiding responsibility because she was "not working" at the time of my first consultation. - When faced with such unprofessionalism I decided I would rather go to another clinic for future eye care and I asked Amanda and the receptionist at the time for a copy of my medical file to which they also refused to give saying I would have to pay a 25$ fee, I believe that because the medical reports belong to me I should have access to them and I should not be denied such papers. Such papers are crucial if I want to visit another doctor for them to understand the history of any eye surgery/care I have received at your establishment. Mind you I had already paid 90$ for my visit to your clinic. - To conclude, I would like to obtain from you the name and contact info of the syndic (director) of the order that the doctors at LASIK MD belong to, specifically the doctors who oversaw my case and/or the director that oversees your establishment. I was going to wait to write this review but I don’t think my opinion will change. I had a wonderful experience at Lasik MD. From my consultation right through to post op appointments the staff there have been nothing but wonderful, and genuinely kind. I went into my consult very anxious about my eyes being touched. They gave me all the information I needed and recommended the best option for my individual needs. On my surgery day I spoke with a consultant who was lovely, there was an option to get the eye drops From the clinic itself and she gave me those and added it to my financing so I didn’t have to pay anything that day. She explained my aftercare really well and asked if I had any questions. Dr. Hakim was lovely, he explained everything to me and talked about risks before doing the surgery. He coached me through the procedure and made me feel more at ease. After the surgery, I was cold and the staff there gave me a soft blanket to wrap myself in ( I was kinda loopy from the Xanax and really wanted to keep that blanket, but did eventually give it back haha). They went to great lengths to make sure I was comfortable and sent me home feeling great. I would highly recommend coming to this location for lasik, The team there is great and I have had a great result and an easy recovery thanks to the expertise and care provided to me. Great service, was very impressed with the team and procedure. I went from needing contacts to having perfect 20-20 vision in under 24 hours. They have a great post surgury plan as well that works wonders. My advice would be to take some sleeping supplements after the surgury and take a bunch of naps while using the eye contact solution as frequently as you can ( I used it every 30min). Doesn't hurt post surgury but your eyes are irritated like you've stayed up till 3am and sleeping it off made mine heal faster. Actually surgury is a bit bizzare, not painful but not comfortable either. Small price to pay! Thanks guys!

My consult was extremely thorough and I did not feel rushed whatsoever. Jaspreet was awesome at going over all the options and pricing with me. I was quite pleased with how I was treated as opposed to the "other" clinic I went for a consult at. On surgery day, everyone was welcoming and chipper. I had more tests & checking done as well as a many forms to complete. Again, very thorough and if I didn't understand something I felt comfortable asking and was given a very detailed, helpful explanation. On to the the actual surgery room is where I met Dr. Hakim. He was wonderful at explaining every detail and was amazing at giving me a play by play on what was happening. It was like he was looking through my eyes as it was happening. The other ladies who were in the room with me were also fantastic. I was scared beyond sensible and they didn't make me feel silly for feeling so scared. Dr Hakim's bedside manner was on point. I was very comfortable chatting with him. All in all, it wasn't as bad at all, and I was just a chicken :D I was completely amazed that after another exam, I was handed some dark glasses and told I could walk out. WOW! I give 4 3/4 stars. My only thing that kinda sucked is that after doing my exams and paperwork, I sat for probably 2.50 hrs before getting in. That didn't help my nerves and seemed a bit unnecessary. Approximately less than an hour after my procedure, I went into a Timmies and couldn't believe that I was already able to read the menu board. I'm very happy with the service AND procedure I received! Definitely recommend going for it!

I had my procedure back in mid-July and opted for the all laser option due to my high prescription (-6.25 & -5.25), but other than that I was told I was the perfect candidate. When the laser was making the flap in my right eye, it caused a big opaque air bubble to form under cornea, which I was told was something that happened every now and then, but that it wasn't serious. Since the air bubble was big enough that the laser couldn't lock on to my pupil, they finished with my left eye and then I had to sit in the waiting room for an hour until the bubble went down. The staff was very nice, checking in with me frequently and making sure I had water, a blanket, and reapplied the numbing drops as requested. Other than that very boring hour intermission, the surgery itself went pretty quick. Just a lot of staring at a light while trying not to think about how weird the sensation of having your eyelid held open my a piece of metal is. My vision faded as they were moving the table over, so for half the procedure it felt like I was being gently rocked back and forth, it was quite soothing. Post-surgery went pretty well too, I only needed to take a painkiller once. I never had a problem with dry eyes before, nor have I developed them since, but I find that my eyes feel better if I still put in drops in the morning. It's been almost 9 weeks since the surgery and my vision is still 20/20 or damn near close too it. I still have issues with my night vision with halos and starbursts, but it's been slowly and steadily improving every week, so I'm not worried about that at all. During the day, the only thing I have to remember is to bring sunglasses with me, because my eyes are a little more sensitive to the midday sun than they used to be. All these small things are totally worth it though, since I now have peripheral vision for the first time since I was in second grade!

I went in for my preoperative consultation last week. I didn't like the way they treat their patients. It was very unprofessional. They just want your money. That's all. Most clinics gives lifetime warranty if you get advanced procedure done. But here you have to pay them $ 90 every 2 years just to keep your warranty valid. It's a eye check up every 2 years. What a rip off? Moreover, I told the lady about my blood test result that I am running low on Vitamin B12. So should I get it done? he replied that I should. And I am feeling very weak due to this. Even a child would know that if your health is not good then you should not get any surgery done. Anyhow, she still forced me to get it done. People it is a complete rip off and totally not trustworthy clinic. I would not go back to LASIK MD. If the corporate are reading this, it is my strong recommendation that they should keep professional, trustworthy and caring staff. Also, please stop ripping people off by charging them $ 90 every 2 years to check their eyes and keep the lifetime warranty. I am taking my procedure else where to another clinic.

Le lendemain, ma vision etait deja de 20/20. Parfois quelque peu flou mais l'inflamation peut prendre jusqu'a trois semaine avant de disparaitre. Je suis bien satisfait d'avoir choisi cette clinique. Le tarif etait similaire au autre clinique mais je crois difficilement qu'une autre clinique aurait pu rivaliser avec le service offert par lasik. Notez aussi que le tarif chez lasik n'a pratiquement pas augmenter depuis plus de 5-10ans!

Why didn't I do this years ago? I have worn glasses/contacts for 26 years and I hesitated for years to get this done. The staff at LASIK MD Halifax were phenomenal. They took the time to explain everything and make sure that I was well informed every step of the process. The staff were very knowledgeable and professional. You can really tell that they are passionate about helping people. At no point in the process was I made to feel pressure to get the procedure done. Dr. Darrell Lewis took the time to explain every step of the surgical procedure and made me very comfortable and relaxed throughout the process. The after effects for me were no worse than having contact lenses in too long. Some of the drops were slightly uncomfortable for the first night, but no problem the next day. I can't believe how clear and crisp my vision was, even the next day. Thanks to LASIK MD, my vision is now better than 20/20. If you have been thinking about laser vision correction, stop waiting and book a consultation.

The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is because of parking. Honestly, with the amount of money you spend for your LASIK and the number of times you go to the clinic, a parking pass would be great!

Well, it worked. I'm 18 and went to correct my - 2.00 - 2.25 prescription. Was able to get treated quickly and the overnight recovery is true. The staff makes you feel comfortable. It is important to know that as a young man I found that the logical choice for me was to go for the more expensive treatment with the lifetime insurance. Which totals to much more than the advertised $490 per eye (around $4500 total cost with lifetime insurance). So be prepared for that. But I know that for me that price will definitely be cheaper than what I will pay for glasses and contacts throughout my life. I am posting this the day after my treatment, my vision is now 20/20, and there's still a week for the inflammation to go down for a full recovery. I am expecting a better than 20/20 vision by the end of the week. If you have any questions, the staff are often available by phone and really friendly. Do not hesitate to contact them.

I got laser eye surgery a couple of days ago at Lasik MD. WhenI went in for my initial consultation, everyone was so kind and polite. They were able to answer all my questions on the spot. They did want me to book right away and continued to call and email to follow up many times. I wasn't ready to book right away, so that was slightly unappealing to me because I knew that I was going to book soon. When I did decide to book the surgery, I did so by email and they made that process very simple. They were very accommodating to my work schedule and understood my needs. On the day of surgery, everyone was very kind and explained everything. They do repeat themselves a lot, but to be honest that because as soon as I got home I forgot everything they said! I’ve worn glasses for more than 10 years, I needed them from a very young age. I always hated wearing glasses, I wanted to be able to lay down with a movie or go for a swim with goggles and be able to see underwater. I ended up deciding to get Lasik, after my consultation I found out I was eligible for Intralase SBK surgery. It was the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m only on day 1 after surgery and I can already see so clearly. It’s amazing, it’s absolutely life changing. The day of surgery was a bit scary, but the procedure itself was painless and so quick. About an hour after surgery it was painful to open my eyes, they were tearing a lot, and even with my eyes closed they were so sensitive to light. However I just took a nap and once I woke up I felt no pain whatsoever. The staff was absolutely amazing, they’re all so kind and welcoming. I definitely recommend it to anyone considering lasik, it’s a life changer for sure!

I had my surgery last Friday, the 13th (should've taken the date as a sign). Everything was going so well until my cornea flap got dislocated 30 minutes after I left the clinic. Such a condition should be treated "as soon as possible in order to prevent formation of fixed folds and epithelial ingrowth". When I went back to the clinic, I couldn't open my eyes, I was scared, nervous and in pain. I was informed that my surgeon left Montreal to the Pointe-Claire clinic and the staff refused (after I begged) to contact another surgeon in the area and assured me that my surgeon would be here asap. I ended up waiting for an hour and a half for my surgeon to get there, with an overdose of calming drops during the waiting time. Plus, after waiting for hours in the dark with my eyes closed, the surgeon didn't even take the time to talk to me before attacking my eye with drops. So sadly, my experience with LASIK MD Montreal was not all nice and easy. They are clearly unable to handle emergencies!

It's been 6 months since my operation and and enough time has gone by to write a suitably accurate review. First, the procedure itself is quick and straightforward. The actual laser procedure only last for a few seconds and the entire thing takes 5 minutes at most. Quick, concise and very professional (p.s. it was amazing that as I got up I could immediately see clearly). Beyond the procedure however are the consultations. Regular check-ups to look at how your eyes are healing and just how good your vision could be. As I said it's been a little over 6 months and during my last visit I was told I'm healing much better and my sight is better than initially hoped (I had a really bad prescription in my left eye). Now with both together I am at 20/20 but there is room for more improvement. Thus, in 6 months (once the healing process is completed) I will be back at which point we might go for another surgery (covered by the lifetime warranty) To further correct my left eye. This is all fantastic news and all accomplished by an extremely friendly and competent staff. Bravo to everyone there. Although I paid for the highest rate personal service, I don't regret it one bit. It was worth every penny and I still sometimes giggle at how well I can see. I have referred many people including a few who went for the surgery and they all love it and agree. In case you are reading these for confidence or horror stories; there are none. Rest assured you won't be disappointed. P.s. they have great coffee and cookies in the waiting room. Always helps!

Got lasik done here staff were nice and everything was quick and easy. The surgery itself was really fast it was over by the time i realized what they were doing so I didn’t feel nervous at all. No pain in eyes at all even afterworlds, had 20/20 vision next day. Just make sure first 24hr to keep eyes closed as much as possible and don’t use phone and use eye drops as you should EDIT! 6 months later I have very dry eyes that burn everyday, floaters in my vision (clear, black and black cloud looking floaters) the worst part of it, eyes randomly have a sharp pain, barley can see at night, and so on. Do your research on why you shouldn’t get lasik, just stick to glasses and don’t risk your only set of eyes.

So I had lasik done in 2014 and almost got 20/20 vision. I got the plan with free touch ups so no problem. Since then I have had problems with sensitivity to light, especially when driving at night and when I called to book a check up they told me it’s now 90 dollars each time. And you still need your normal ophthalmologist check up too. Was ecstatic with my procedure by Dr. Wallerstein (sp?) in about '98 (and loads of my colleagues followed suit) but my eyes have now changed. Hold on to your receipt (no matter what they tell you). I'm told I have to repay tor a touch up even though I paid $750 per eye, before it was covered by benefits. I had my lasik eye surgery done almost 3 weeks ago and honestly it was the best thing I've ever done. When I went in for my free consult they let me know that I had infiltrates in my eyes due to long term contact wear. I was then given some a prescription for some eye drops to clear up the infection. I had a few checks for a couple of weeks before I was given the OK to go ahead with surgery. I always felt like I was cared for at these visits and I always felt like they were trying to help me. Once the infiltrates cleared up, I was ready for surgery. I had dry eyes but they made sure to prepare me with lots of eye drops for a couple of days leading up to the surgery. The day of surgery I became a little bit nervous right before the procedure but they gave me a small dose of an oral sedative. They made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Dr. Johnson was very friendly and was talking throughout the whole procedure which helped me a lot! The procedure itself was very quick and easy! Immediately afterwards I had slight stinging in my eyes (almost like when you open you eyes in a pool with chlorine) and couldn't open them since they were burning a lot but was given some more freezing drops when they checked my eyes after 45 mins. As soon as I left the building I noticed a HUGE difference! I could actually read road signs and could see the rest of the world clearly! I still had some pain when I went home but they tell you to take a nap and rest. I took a 2 hour nap and had no pain or any problems after I woke up. The post-op eye drops hurt a bit at first but the slight stinging goes away after the first day. Honestly the worst part of recovery was being sooo bored since you can't be on your phone or look at screens for 24 hours. About 5 days after I had slight discomfort because I had a bit of mucous build up (it felt like sand was in my eye) and didn't want to rub my eyes so I called Lasik and they fit me in to do a check that very day. The two guys there (Tyler and the other one, who's name I forget) were nothing but amazing and took their time to check my eyes. They also gave me different eye drops to try and I also set up an appointment for the next morning for a quick check. The mucous buildup went away later that day so I didn't need to go the next morning. Overall, I never once felt like I was a bother to them and again, felt very cared for!! I went in for my 2 week check last week and my vision is 20/15 so I'm beyond happy!! Everyone at the clinic in London are so amazing and honestly I wish I would've gotten lasik done sooner! It's so nice to wake up and be able to see everything. I highly recommend Lasik MD to every one!

I recently had laser eye surgery done at LASIK MD in Mississauga and I was extremely happy with my experience, as well as my results. The office is open and clean and I felt very safe as they made modifications to the waiting room so that there was ample space to distance from others. All of the attendants that I spoke with that day (and there were several as each step was with a different person) were very friendly and helped put my mind at ease. The surgery itself was quick, almost painless, and really the hardest part was trying to get over the psychological aspect of knowing that someone is poking around in your eyes. The experience itself was not hugely painful, just a tad uncomfortable. That said, it was literally a 10 minute ordeal for a lifetime of being able to see so definitely worth it. Got my first LASIK operation in December 2016 and a followup operation in June 2017. The initial operation didn't fix 100% my vision since I had a high prescription (+4.5) and had to wait 6 months for my eyes to heal properly before being able to get the followup. It was expensive, but worth it to have one of the most experimented doctor in Canada, Dr. Mounir Bashour, perform the operation(or at least that's who they told me did it... I couldn't see that well and he didn't introduce himself... or if he did, it went in one ear and out the other from the stress) I now see perfectly fine today at the same distances as the majority of people around me, if not a bit further. If you're offered a hug at the end of your operation... Just take it. It's a highly traumatizing operation and I was shaking like a leaf afterward, the fact I had to go through it twice due to my high prescription just makes me feel unlucky, but if I had to do it again, I would. Not having to wear glasses is simply freeing.

I’m happy I can now see without glasses, the first day is horrible but honestly just sleep and follow your drop schedule and the next day I was completely fine :) My boy friend just got his done here a couple months ago, they even gave him a zanax or something to relax ( wish I got that) Wendy was such a pleasant encounter she made the experience very easy going. The wait was horrendous, I got there at 10am I was done everything and paid by 12pm and still sat there until 2pm when I had to go to reception just to find that they were still another hour behind. It would have been more professional and less annoying if they would have came to the waiting room and informed everyone of the delay. I was finally out just after 3pm Honestly it was worth it, but paying over 4K to wait that long without being informed seems really disrespectful to the clients. Again Wendy made these 4 stars happen, she made the whole experience comfortable. It would have been 5 if they didn’t disregard their clients like that. When something costs that much you should be treated with more professionalism, as soon as you pay, they just don’t care anymore. The surgery I felt like was really rushed, maybe because they were behind? They didn’t really tell you what to expect either, and as soon as I got up and was still processing everything they are already asking for the next client to come in.

Super smooth. The procedure itself was very quick, and staff made me very comfortable before, during, and after the procedure. The recovery was quick, and only took about 4-5 hours. Vision was at a perfect 20/20 the very next morning and I was back to 100% within 48 hours. Vision is expected to improve gradually over the week. Would definitely recommend the procedure, as it's quick and relatively painless.

Hello, I had my surgery done at LASIK MD Mississauga 5 years ago in 2015 and am loving it. My eye care professional is and was Harpreet Malhotra. She had referred me to get the surgery done earlier and is the one who has been taking care of me and following up since surgery. My cornea was too pointy so she suggested the appropriate procedure accordingly. We had our scheduled follow ups, but if I needed to be looked at she made herself available! She puts a lot of care in looking at scans and also watching whats happening in the eyes. Harpreet promptly answering any queries or issues, as small as a solution to too much dryness. She had a solution for me be it prescribed drops or be it vitamins within minutes. She took the extra step to explain, and take her time with the appointments. Never felt rushed, all answers were provided and I seem to have perfect vision ever since with no issues!! So glad for her help and care! Be careful! Technicians at this location are untrained and do not have adequate medical experience to offer advice and give you the right treatment for your eyes. I was cleared for surgery twice by technicians and doctors only to be told by surgeons on the day of surgery that I could not get surgery or that I had to get PRK. After my PRK surgery the technicians gave me drops with preservatives that worsened my vision and told me that it was normal to be unable to sleep due to excruciating pain and have even worse vision a week after surgery. It was not until I saw the surgeon a week afterwards and given the right drops that actually healed my eyes. After I ran out they refused to give me a refill because of the harmful effects the drops might have. This turned out to be false as a surgeon explained that the drops were safe and I could use them again to keep my vision stable. Be smart with your eyes, this is a serious medical procedure and only take advice from actual medical professionals.

My experience at LASIK MD Waterloo/Kitchener was fantastic. The processes/safety measures they have in place for COVID were excellent. I had a virtual consultation and was able to book in clinic testing/surgery day within 3 weeks. If I could choose again, I won't do my surgery here. Everything went well until my follow-ups post-surgery ! 2 weeks after the surgery, follow-up on the phone, I mentionned that I really have a problem with my right eye, that it hurts and I can't see well. The vision was like before surgery. The lady kept saying that my eye was dry and I had to buy another kind of eye drop. I did everything that I was told to do. But the problem keep getting worse at the point that I cannot work because I cannot see well and the difference in vision of my 2 eyes causes me nausea. I am very worried. I called to ask for an appointment on site in order to know what exactly is my problem. I explained my worsening situation. The agent told me that someone will call me after 24 hours to give me an appointment. I have been waiting for 2 days and nobody called !!! I know that you want to limit the number of person in the clinic. Me neither I don't want to go to the clinic if I don't have to. But we have to do what is necessary !!! I wish I can feel more cares from Lasik MD. Follow-up after surgery is as important as the procedure before surgery. Or since the invoice was paid nothing is important after ?!? I am really disapointed. If you are waiting to have a bad review to do something, it is too late! People around me keep asking for my experience but it's 100% certain that I won't recommend LasikMD!

Had Lasik surgery done here yesterday and my follow-up this morning. Start to finish: not a single negative thing to say about this place or the people working here. Everyone was not only extremely pleasant, but also very detailed in explaining what to expect and how things work. The entire process was also very organized including the extra COVID precautions. I actually had consultations with TLC as well as Lasik MD and ultimately decided to go with LMD as they came across much more clinical (i.e. being very clear about risks, etc.), whereas TLC seemed a touch more "sales-pitchy".

Came here for my fiancé's laser eye surgery. When we came in for a consult a month ago, the clinic staff were great and answered all our questions. We booked our appointment right away. Gave us a lot of instructions and care procedures. The clinic Followed up a few times to confirm our appointment through email and phone. Returned today for the actual procedure. They had estimated a total of 4 hours but we were in and out in 2 hours. All the staff were caring. The associate director also checked in on us to make sure we were good. The procedure itself was only 30 minutes. Dr. Jefferey Machat was really great, was patient and explained the procedure all along the way. He was also very calming and encouraging. My fiancé's vision is great and he already is healing. Good investment, Would recommend this location!

They explained and walked me through everything I could expect (had they not done that, I think it would have been very easy to panic) The process went well from start to finish. From the very time I called their 1-800 number, I was met with patience, understanding and kindness. That same spirit carried on throughout my experience with the LASIK MD (Kingston, ON) office. The first step in the surgery process, thanks to COVID - was having a virtual consultation. Eliza was very knowledgeable and friendly - and to my surprise she was in the OR assisting the surgeon on surgery day! After the virtual consultation, a date was set for surgery. I went in for some pre-op tests, and that was my first time in the actual building. The office was clean, and the staff there were also very friendly and knowledgeable! Jamie and Virginia made me feel at ease with great conversation during my time there, asking me many times throughout if I had any questions. Tim, the tech who ran my testing was also very thorough in making sure all of my questions were answered along the way during each test. They were honest about what expectations should be set when it came to the results of my surgery. From start to finish, everything was methodical and had a system. I never had to sit and wait very long. I was sent home with a lot of information about the procedure, and information about the surgeon (Dr. Johnson) so I had an idea of his qualifications. As for cost, they have a few different options for financing, and that was taken care of before I had surgery, (as you can imagine it would be difficult to settle up when my eyes are sensitive). I didn’t want to pay interest on a line of credit, so I was able to pay $1500 down, and then do a series of cheques for a monthly payment to avoid extra charges. I appreciated that they made that accommodation for me. The day of surgery, Jamie, Virginia and Tim were all there and remembered me by name - like I was an old friend who had been there a hundred times before. They asked how I was feeling, and went to great lengths to reassure me that it was going to be ok and calm my nerves. Even though none of them had LASIK themselves, they told me in detail what to expect and how I might feel. The surgery itself was virtually painless - I PROMISE - and Dr.Johnson was kind, and gentle (which was odd to me for a surgeon, as most would be described as cold and stoic) but not this man. The surgery went exactly as the staff said it would, and only lasted 10 mins. After that, Jamie and Virginia were very attentive to me and made sure I was comfortable while we waited for my husband to come and get me. I just felt really loved by the people there - like it was friends taking care of me. I would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone considering LASIK - because you’ll love the experience!

I took an appointment for a checkup. I just want start by saying the guy I was with (looked italian-portugese) with the glasses was rude. When I asked questions, he acted like I was supposed to have a 5 years degree on the subject and know everything about it. Had a very good experience getting my eyes operated at Lasik MD this February 2019. It was quick, stress-free, the staff was extemely nice, cheerful and calming the whole time and I had no problems scheduling appointment or understanding all the steps of the process. Many discounts are also available to health professions, which I was lucky enough to be able to benefit from. I would recommend the clinic to anyone who wish to get the laser eye surgery. The only thing that I was very unconfortable with was knowing the exact time of my surgery only 1-2 days in advance. It made it difficult for me to plan time off work to go, and to ask a friend to do the same to come and get me. Disclosure: I was not paid to write this review, however, I was told 2$ would be given to a foundation if I took the engagement to write it. This review is written on day 1 after surgery. My vision is already 20/20, I have no discomfort, and dry eyes no different than usual (I usually already had mild dry eyes). I intend on writing another review if my experience change drastically in the coming months and years, but so far, I am very happy.

As a person that has worn glasses since 2004, this was a tough and very thought out decision for me. But I wanted to be able to live my life without NEEDING glasses. The process was extremely well explained and very quick and easy!! First visit was an eye test and what not to verify that I was a candidate for Lasik. Through that visit was explanation of everything from the eye drops to use all the way to how the procedure would work day of! Second visit was the day! Showed up, they did another check just to verify everything was the same and good to go still. Then off to pay and go over the whole process. Then, here comes Dr. Omar Hakim, who was amazing through the whole procedure! I was definitely nervous as it was a laser cutting a flap of my eye… but Dr. Hakim made it painless and very comforting! The whole procedure only lasted about 2-4 minutes per eye and it was way quicker than it seemed! The first day was hard to not be able to look at screens or my phone and what not, but it was nice to just sleep through the day! Also, noticing I could see almost perfectly by about dinner time was amazing and something I haven’t experienced in a long time! The following day check up was quick and good news! Everything was healing super well and all positive news! Absolutely highly recommend Lasik MD, and Dr. Hakim especially! Thank you for restoring my life of vision! It’s truly life changing!!

My experience with LASIKMD has been truly amazing. Listen to me, do not think twice: if you have the money and you feel ready to get rid of your glasses or eye contacts, DO IT! It is ASBOLUTELY worth it. I had the best clinical couselor (Alexia Muro-Allen), a truly amazing surgeon (Dr. Mounir), amazing optometry technicians & another amazing counselor (Caroline). Their team is truly what you need to feel comfortable and safe to get your surgery. They talk you through everything, they have answers to every single one of your questions: they know what they are doing! My surgery went amazing. I felt no pain right after the surgery (it really depends on the person, so please do not take this from me) and I felt even better the next day! I had a very bad incident with my left eye that occurred 8 days after my surgery and Alexia Muro-Allen honestly saved my eye! I was going through excruciating pain, had to get a second surgery only to my left eye and the doctor who was available yesterday (I forgot her name, huge apology) was amazing as well! Also, no pain the same day and felt better as we speak today (today is the day after my second surgery). The team at Montreal LASIK MD is great. Trust me. I came in there with a smile AND left with a smile with my extremely smoked sunglasses from LASIK. Just because of the experience and the customer service, if I had to do it again, I absolutely would.

4 weeks ago ago and many many eyedrops since, I had Intraocular Implants expertly implanted into both eyes by the wonderful Dr. Bains. Thank you doctor. Laser surgery wasn't an option for me since my corneas were too thin, so the next best option was IOI, and being -8.5 in both eyes as well as needing reading glasses , I was stoked to get this surgery. Dec. 30th, 2020 update: I got an eye checkup from an eye doctor at a different place and they said the surgeon did an excellent job on my procedure! My eyes are still 20/15 vision, so one eye is slightly better than "normal". I still have some dryness once in a while, but eyedrops always do the trick. I got my standard laser eye surgery in November 2015. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The procedure itself went well, although I did feel a bit of pain, despite plenty of numbing eyedrops. I had a panic attack during the procedure, through no fault of the doctors, as I have an anxiety disorder. I can't for the life of me remember the nurses name, but she was so kind and sweet, and held my hand during the procedure to help calm me down. You're not supposed to feel any pain during the procedure, but it can happen. The pain lasted about 2-3 minutes maybe. Despite the brief pain and the extremely uncomfortable panic attack, I'd definitely do it all over again if I had to. I had dry eyes to begin with so it's natural to have some dryness afterwards. It was pretty bad for the next 2 weeks but I frequently used eyedrops. Now, over a year later, I just use eyedrops occasionally. It feels amazing to wake up and be able to see- I am so glad I got the procedure done.

I did my pre-operative consultation at the Laval clinic and the staff guided me every step of the way. First, the receptionist gave me a general overview of the steps I would go through. Then, some tests were done to verify my eligibility for the different surgeries offered at Lasik MD and the clinical counselor gave me pricing and financing information. The staff is very supportive every step of the way and they genuinely care about their patients’ vison and well-being. I went to the Montreal clinic for my Lasik surgery and I received the same great service. In addition, my surgeon, Dr. Avi Wallerstein, did an amazing job at making me feel safe and comfortable during the whole process. When my colleagues checked my eyes the next day, they were impressed by the quality of the surgeon's work and I had a solid 20/15 vision! I’m so glad I did the surgery and I highly recommend it to anyone who struggles with glasses and contact lenses. Thank you to the Laval team and Dr. Wallerstein!
