I was fortunate enough to win a free eye exam, glasses with all the frills i.e. tint and they darken when I go in the sun. The staff are amazing, helpful and fun to be around. I'm hoping my glasses arrive in the next few days as I am excited, I don't win things. I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone involved it was a very pleasant experience. ❤

Both my wife and I have had eye exams and updated vision prescriptions undertaken at North Peace Optometry Clinic. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The Optician was professional, pleasant and actually seemed to care. I do not normally review but this one deserves recognition. This has not been my experience with opticians in the past and was worth the hour long drive.

Had my glasses made on 09Jan. I gave them frames that worked well with me and had sentimental value. On 23Jan, I received a call that my frames were broken when my prescription lenses (cost of $380) were being installed. An apology was given and they also gave me a 20% discount for new frames. I DID NOT BUY ANY FRAMES and now I have to purchase one! On 28Jan, I went to their clinic and spoke to Laurie and was told that they will get back to me the following day when the owner was in. SURPRISE!!! THERE WAS NO CALL. I had to call them up today, 01Feb, to follow up. The discount is now up to 30%. NOT GOOD ENOUGH since my property / frames were broken by professionals of the industry. When asked to be reimbursed for the lenses, it cannot be processed immediately. However, when payment was needed, it was collected pretty quickly! I will need to find another optician / optometrist after 3 years of going to them with good results. After speaking to the owner, he arranged for my broken frames to be replaced free of charge. Finally, a resolution that works out for me. It doesn't replace the frames that were perfect for me and had sentimental value, I at least can see better with my new prescription.

I've always been happy with the eye care received but this last time was a little disappointing. We has to buy my daughter glasses. She picked frames that were within my price range and when we went to order lenses the lady behind the counter asked my daughter which additional lense features she wanted and just started adding then to my bill. Finally I had to step in and say look we are on a bit of a budget are these costing extra? Of course they were and I felt so cheap having to say no to all those features. Left feeling very embarrassed.

Everyone I have dealt with has always been extremely professional. I recently broke my glasses and took them in. They were still under warranty so I am pretty much getting a new pair of glasses almost two years later at no extra cost. The only reason it is 4 stars instead of 5 is that I would have bought a 2nd pair to wear if they had the lenses on hand, but unfortunately they were out of lenses and I have to wear broken glasses until my new ones come in. Will still get a back-up pair i this happens again.

Great service. Dr Herriot fit me in for an emergency during his lunch. North Peace Optometry has the best selection of glasses for kids. Every time I praise a kids for their nice glasses. They always tell me they got them from Dr Herriot or North Peace Optometry. They also tell me that he has great kids prizes.

I just wanted to take a second and leave a review. The service is excellent everytime I go here. They have very informative and professional optometrists. Josiah Black is very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about his job. He always answers all of my questions and he makes me feel comfortable and at ease. Other business in town could really learn a thing or two from NPOC. Most businesses in town don't know the first thing about customer service.

Staff is very professional and fit me in when I needed to stop by for an emergency call. In and out with a prescription very quickly to resolve the eye issue. And didn't even charge me for the follow up a few days later. If I lived in the area I would definitely recommend them.

Amazingly helpful staff that is eager to help with any problems you have. I walked in there with no prescription for contacts and just my glasses. Even though they were a little busy they still took the time to try to find me what I needed gave me 2 box's of trial pairs to get me through the family weekend and didn't charge me a dime. This is my new optometrist for sure and I highly recommend anyone to at the very least stop in there and browse around. Oh and the contacts are perfect.

Dr. Herriot and his team are so unbelievably kind and accommodating. Time and time again, I have had superior customer service, whether it was fixing my appointment booking mix ups, helping with after hours questions, options for working parents who are unable to get in to see a Dr. before the end of work day, or to the friendly staff who stop me from buying glasses that make me look ridiculous - they are all amazing! I have always looked for cheap glasses from online outlets and the pro's I get from shopping locally outweigh the price break online. They are better quality, they last longer, they come with warranty, the staff look after small repairs, and the service is superior! Thanks everyone! Victoria and Family!

Five-star service no doubt. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Chelsea provided all information about the eye exam, so nothing would surprise me. I really appreciate that Dr. Herriot spent his time answering my questions and providing very interesting information about my eye health. Laurie (Optical dispenser) was very patient and helpful when I needed to choose my first glasses. Overall, I was very satisfied and direct billing to my insurance company was cherry on top.

Fantastic service! I had a medical/eye emergency and they got me in within the hour. Not only were they super helpful and thorough, they billed the visit to MSP so I didn't have to pay a cent! I have been to the emergency room and to my family doctor countless times with a very swollen eye and each time I get no help. The NPOC were just AWESOME!

Was told good things about this place, so when a situation arose and I needed my glasses replaced, I went here. Very pleasent and polite staff. The doctor I got was good. Overall process was very smooth and painless. Cost was more than I was expecting, but since it was my vision, what could I do. Will definitely be going back when I need to upgrade!

Fantastic Service, I didn't know this but if you have medical issue with your eyes Canada Medical Covers the exam. So, if you have an actual issue give them a call, you can afford to see an optometrist. I wanted to say that North Peace Optometry got me in literally the next day with my medical eye issue even though I had booked later in the week on their website. The doctors saw it was medical and they got me right in, which in Fort St. John, is rare. Dr. Black was fantastic, I highly recommend North Peace Optometry.

I wish I could not leave any stars...the sales clerk was very unprofessional and rude. She told my colleague that the glasses she had selected, "Did not look good on her.' It is not your job to give your opinion to a client. Your job is to assist clients with their selection. Terrible customer service! Neither my colleague nor myself will ever frequent this establishment. In a small community like this...I'm very surprised.

Had a serious eye problem that gained more speed over a 1.5 year period that never did get identified properly here, after about 5 visits they recommended a $1400.00 procedure that I opted to get a 2nd opinion elsewhere on beforehand. My concern was not eye gland related at all, 2nd opinion identified on first visit and saved me a 1.5 year term of grief and I am currently awaiting my surgery with a neurologist to correct. To be fair the Dr Jordan Yurchevich is no longer with clinic so maybe things will improve with this clinic that I once held in high regard. my left side eye was 60/20 so you would think that would flag in the eyes of a professional.

Would be nice if we could get an appointment sooner than 3-4 weeks even after I told them I had an eye infection. All these medical type businesses are a complete joke up in Fort St. John. Nothing seems to be improving, only getting worse and these businesses don’t do anything about it.
