Dr. Netan Choudhry is a top notch Retinal Surgeon who is involved in world class research and is a wonderful and humorous person to know. I highly recommend Dr. Choudhry for world class treatment of retinal problems. He is one in a million specialist who is down to earth and explains you medical terms simply and concisely .

My son was referred to this office. Everyone was so welcoming, professional and knowledgeable. I was very impressed. Also, this is such a beautiful office everything is modern with the latest in technology. We had a positive and pleasant experience.

Dr Choudhry and his team are wonderful. I was fortunate to be referred there for suspected retinal problem. That turned out to be nothing, but what I really needed was cataract surgery. The pre-operation consultation was very thorough with all my options clearly presented - with all the prices. How much is your sight worth? I wanted the best and I got it. Yes, surgery on your eyes is scary but I was kept informed all through the procedure so that I felt no concerns. The day after the surgery I opened my eyes and for the first time since I was 6 years old, I could see without corrective lenses.I am so grateful for the professionalism and care of Dr Choudhry and his staff. Colours are brighter, I can read without glasses and I can drive at night with confidence.

AS PER MY HUSBAND: VERY UNFRIENDLY, RIGID AND UNACCOMMODATING CUSTOMER SERVICE REP AT THE PHONE ON THE WEBSITE . ONCE U ARE THROUGH THIS HURDLE, THINGS ARE MUCH BETTER AND PROFESSIONAL THOUGH .

Everything about this clinic is top of the line. High-tech equipment and latest innovations, knowledgeable staff, great doctor and technicians, and it's even a beautiful office. But the wait time is ridiculous. I don't appreciate being asked to come at 11:45 only to have my pressure checked an hour later. Still have yet to see the doctor. Next time, give me an appointment time your office can respect.

Dr Chaudry is OUTSTANDING!!! He was recommended to me by my retinal surgeon in Phoenix Arizona, Dr. Rahul Reddy ( who is equally outstanding in if you live in the United States this is the man I would go to by the way) In efforts to keep my travel and my cost lower as I am from Winnipeg Canada dr. Reddy had referred me to dr. Chaudry. This doctor was top-notch, professional, excellent bedside manner, extremely knowledgeable, answers questions, gives insight into the best Avenue and best patient care. Very much cares about doing a great job and putting the patient in the best care possible in a time efficient manner. Listens, Great Hearts, great communication, very thorough, highly recommend anyone in need of anything to do with retinol consultation to see this doctor in Canada!! Located in Toronto! The staff I met that day were very pleasant as well

The wait time was ridiculous. My back started hurting coz I was sitting at the waiting room for so long. The doctors were fine, the receptionists were fine but dear lord they made me wait. There were patients after me left earlier than I did. I don’t know what was up with that. I hope I never have to get my eyes checked by any specialists again.

Dr. Choudhry is excellent . He is kind and compassionate with his work . Thanks to him for treating my AMD . Dr Choudhry deserves 10 stars . I gave 4 to his staff due to a bad incident experience . One front desk ( unfortunately didn’t get her name ) agent was very mean and rude . I arrived early one time for my appointment and when I checked in with her , the first words from her mouth were : you will not be seen even if you are early ! I was appalled and didn’t know how to respond . How could she assume that patients arrive expecting to be seen earlier ?! She probably has a ‘ crystal ball ‘ ! She was mean and rude ! I never checked in with her after that incident , I’d rather wait for the other girls . This particular individual doesn’t wear a smile on her face and doesn’t greet patients ! I suggest if she hates her job , she should quit front desk jobs and work from home......

I am extremely satisfied with my experience at the VRM clinic. The staff are extremely professional. At all times they were thorough and took the time to explain the different tests. Stephanie was excellent calling to explain all appointments, and costs. Dr. choudry was also great. The cataract surgery was easy, fast and painless. All I can say is the end result is amazing. My vision is like I was a teenager again the immediate difference was stunning.

This clinic provides excellent care, however, they will schedule you for non-OHIP insured services without your prior consent, and allow patients who agree to pay out-of-pocket for certain services to jump ahead in line for scheduling appointments. Make sure to confirm whether your scheduled exams are insured by OHIP.

Very friendly staff who know their stuff. Be prepared to wait...twice...as they move you through the process.

Had an appointment here to get my laser surgery to repair retina tear. Dr is amazing and i wasn't nervous at all. This place is following all protocols during pandemic and sanatizes all surfaces. Amazing doctor and staff. Very pleased.

Dr. Choudhry is a true asset to the eye care community. With a background of outstanding training at some of the top ophthalmology institutions in the United States, Dr. Choudhry has become a leader and pioneer in the use of advanced imaging modalities to diagnose and manage a variety of medical and surgical vitreoretinal diseases.

I went to this clinic recently, the staff were very nice and caring, even bumped my appointment up to accommodate me. The doctor was kind and patient, he explained my options and I left much more relieved!

My optometrist referred my mother here for her eye. The doctor here and his staff are top notch. I have been to many offices before with my mother and waited hours to see the doctor for a few minutes. Dr.Choudhry came and was nice and took his time with my mother. She only speaks Mandarin, so he used google translate to speak to her because I dont know mandarin. Great place!

Excellent Eye Doctor

Dr. Choudhry's attitude toward answering patient questions is horrible. You can clearly tell questions annoy him. With the eye being such a sensitive part of the body it would be expected that patients new to the process would have questions, especially when they're getting a needle poked in their eye. He is totally disconnected from this reality as performing the procedure has clearly become routine to him. His focus is to do the procedure and leave, that's it! If he took the time to explain what was wrong with your eye, its progress and how he was going to try to rectify it using the different methods available to him, I would have given him 5 stars. Unfortunately that was not done. Find another doctor with enough concern to understand your need to know the details of your eye care. The staff were great though.

I was referred to the clinic to confirm a long time diagnosis of an eye disease. My first appointment consisted of a battery of tests and my second the consultation with the doctor. They were very thorough and I felt safe in the clinic during the pandemic as they had many precautions in place. I had mixed feelings after my visit with the doctor. He was very knowledgeable about current research in this area and while I left with an unexpected feeling of hope I was still unable to obtain a confirmed diagnosis without further genetic testing. I think my expectations were too high! I am pleased with the thoroughness with which they handle my case and at the end of the day I will probably have more answers than I originally anticipated.

disappointing experience. There was a a lot of requested imaging requested to preform that was not covered by OHIP and the staff are not upfront on all the costs not until you paid $$ on these tests. Be prepared to open your wallet here. The staff do not take responsibility and unsympathetic to the patient. Dr. Choudhry is very knowledgeable and pleasant and its too bad his staff had to make this appointment a nightmare for me and had the nerve to dismiss the seriousness of my condition

Please read and be aware that you should not trust dr Choudhry! My experience has been one I would not wish on anyone! My dad was seen by dr Choudhry after he lost vision in one of his eyes. He did not provide much information and said he wasn’t able to see much due to the amount of blood in the eye, when I asked him questions, he would dodge and/or dismiss. This made me question his diagnosis or shall we say lack of diagnosis. I checked the reports that I had asked to be sent to our family doctor and in the report he had mentioned differential diagnosis for “melanoma” (cancer) versus wet macular degeneration. He didn’t know that I had read the report. He had already given my dad an injection for wet macular degeneration even though we asked him about surgery and his response was he would give a couple injections and see if the blood clears up. I asked him about melanoma and he confirmed that suspects either wet macular degeneration or melanoma and that when he does the surgery he will see and if it’s cancer he will send my dad to Princess Margaret hospital. By this time, my dad had already had an injection and things hadn’t improved really, my instinct told me to get a second opinion, I found the best doctor specialized in macula and made an appointment, however had to postpone because my family insisted that dr Choudhry is the best and has a degree from Harvard, etc and that I should let him continue with his plan of giving my dad a second injection. Against my wishes and instinct I agreed and my dad got a second injection. This time Dr Choudhry said he will schedule surgery and also do cataract surgery on my dad. He said this after already giving my dad an injection and confirming that things hadn’t improved. I saw this as yet another red flag and was counting days to get the second opinion. When we saw the doctor for a second opinion, he immediately said he doesn’t understand Dr Choudhry’s reports and confirmed that there is no melanoma and was almost shocked that it had been 3 months since my dad had lost his vision and that he wouldn’t have waited this long to do a surgery and said he needed to do a surgery on my dad next week. When I told him that I wondered the same thing and also mentioned cataract, he was again shocked and said my dad doesn’t need cataract surgery and asked if we were going to get charged by dr Choudhry, and said that we didn’t have to pay anything if he operates on my dad. My heart dropped when I found out that all my suspicions were true. Now I let you be the judge, it’s very clear from literature I have researched that yes, surgery should not have waited 3 months! Now that made me wonder why dr Choudhry waited this long! This is what I think: he is a businessman with no conscience and just wanted to charge for the injections and cataract (all of which were not needed). I will let you draw your own conclusion! I was in hell for 3 months thinking my dad has permanently lost his vision or worse has cancer! I cried myself to sleep several nights, wasn’t able to tell my family about possibility of cancer, my life was hell for 3 months all thanks to dr Choudhry wanting to make more money off of my dad. But the most important thing is that my dad could have lost his vision had it not been for the amazing human who told us that my dad had a retina detachment and operated on him fast enough to save his eye. I hope you have a happy ending to your story and don’t go through the hell we went through with dr Choudhry!

I was recommended to see Dr. Choudhry by three different doctors and now I understand why. This practice has state of the art technology and Dr. Choudhry knows his stuff. I haven't been to a doctor in a long time and felt as confident as I did at this office that I'm going to be taken care of. I am SO grateful for this doctor and would recommend him to anyone. He is by the far the BEST!

Wayne Howell

The office staff are professional, efficient and pleasant. Patients are treated respectfully and processed with minimal delay.

I find Sr Choudry to be extremely personable. There is a wait because it takes time for the eye drops take effect. He is very efficient and listens to you but is busy so doesn't have time for small talk. If you aant someone who'll sit with you to discuss your weekend it isn't him.

This clinic has reached my highest expectations. The staff are very pleasant and very well versed in every aspect of the patient's needs. In the extra care required with Isolation due to the current pandemic, every requirement is met and explained with understanding. In terms of the procedures, ever need is met with patience and clarity. I have had nothing but excellent experiences with Dr. Coudhry. He has been generous in his patient time and I have absolute highest confidence in his analysis and post visit instructions. I have been very fortunate to.be one of his patients.

Aliya abbas

I came to see this doctor from my country where many doctors told me I had a birthmark on my retina. I was scared and saw this clinic. They were very kind and saw me fast. Dr.Choudhry helped me get treated very quickly. I had trouble finding parking, but that is my only complaint.
