It was a quick eye exam and felt I did not get what I have normally had in eye exams. Optometrist is somewhat arrogant. Wouldn’t go back again. Pay a little extra and get better service.

My first Image Optometry experience was great (not this location). Two years later, I was ready to upgrade my progressives (I need reading glasses but have fabulous distance vision). The exam was fantastic. The optometrist was very friendly and efficient. I went in for one pair but was sold on the bundle...buying two was the same price as getting one pair. So, I thought it'd be a great opportunity to get reading or progressive sunglasses too. I was not explained that the sunglasses would be for distance only...Hello!!! I already have great distance vision. So I now own a very expensive pair of sunglasses that I cannot read with. I could have walked down the street and purchased a very similar pair at Winners for $19.99. I don't understand why this wasn't explained to me. When I inquired about it, the offer was to have the lenses changed for an extra $125. Sigh...

I give them a 3 star review based on the fact when they filed my insurance claim it was declined and they voided it, quickly sending another. I later found out the claim was filed as an eye exam instead of lenses/glasses (for 514 dollars). This resulted in my reimbursement being suspended and me having to prove to my insurance company that I indeed did not have a 514 dollar eye exam and instead it was for my prescription. It eventually got solved after 2 weeks. Their service on the other hand is top notch! They are very friendly, very knowledgeable and I had a great time. Their selection and prices are also amazing, I got 2 pairs of glasses with lenses for cheaper than 1 pair of glasses with lenses from competition. This review would be 5 stars if not for the claim mishap, I will however, be going there for all my glasses needs.

It was a Sunday afternoon when my wife and I walked into Image Optometry. We had 3 different prescriptions to fill. There was only one staff member, Jared. We weren't in a huge rush, so we told him to deal with other customers coming in with lesser concerns. As we sat waiting we noticed how he dealt tactfully with an unsatisfied customer, and he was also always polite with all the customers when keeping the number of people in the store to the covid restrictions (3 customers max). Kudos to the young man for multitasking so well and keeping his cool. When Jared finally had time to give us undivided attention, he was very helpful with frame advice and honest about the different charges for lens options. Together we managed to fill 3 very different prescription needs and still kept the overall cost quite reasonable. With our previous glasses we had experienced a national chain and another local business, and they were all more expensive. We originally decided to try Image Optometry because of the great Google reviews, and we weren't disappointed with the experience. We look forward to picking up our new glasses in 2 weeks, and I hope they will be really well made.

I’ve been, along with my wife and children, a customer of Image Optometry for more than six years now. We dealt with three locations, Surrey Central, Nanaimo, and finally Victoria Mayfair. Every experience was an absolute joy. Image Optometry has a variety of brands and designs to satisfy every taste with prices that are within reach. They are quick, friendly, professional, knowledgable, and easy going. I am grateful for my relationship with Image Optometry and have no intentions to form another with any other!

All the other glasses places I went to basically just listed the stuff they said I "needed" and gave me the total cost as fast as they could. Image on the other hand took the time to explain all the different choices of lenses applicable to my prescription, and broke down the cost on a handy chart on their tablet. I have gone back about 3 times to have the glasses adjusted, and they have always been friendly and accommodating. One of the best overall purchasing experiences I have ever had, and it is hard to list off another place off the top of my head where I have experienced better customer service.

I went to this place on recommendation of the sales clerk from Sunglass Hut because she said they would have the parts to replace the Ray Ban sunglasses (said rep help me fixed the frames). Immediately the salesperson who came to me was just as helpful, replace the nosebridge of my sunglasses and readjust to make sure they sit on me just as well as my other pair. Like the Sunglass Hut, this place didn't charge me for the labor of the repair or the cost of the replacement pieces. I was thoroughly impressed. The plastic on the nosebridge were very yellowed and dingy and now with the replacements they look as brand new. If I need a pair of work glasses for prolonged computer use, I will definitely come to this place.

Got a pair of glasses for $ 370. Great price for high index Essilor lenses and Crizal coating. Would cost 50-100 dollars more, even in a reasonable priced store . The manager, she was super helpful, very patient, super careful with all the fittings, measurements, little adjustments .... it took me about an hour to get used to the new glasses and it is all comfortable from there ... Strongly recommended. I suggest they should make it clear that their lenses are Essilor, that will be much more appealing right away..

Great deal on the eye exam & free lenses however I brought in my own frames as their free frame selection was very minimal. I was in the market for a new pair of glasses and started checking reviews online. Image Optometry came up as having 23 5-star reviews and they were located in the newly renovated Mayfair Mall. Yes, FREE *parking too!! My experience from start to finish was positive. Great selection of frames at a reasonable price, easy eye exam with the latest in technology and everyone was very helpful and professional. *Super-easy parking: under the new section of the mall (at the most southern-west corner) where you'll find a convenient elevator to get to the main floor. You'll pop out right next to Indigo. Image Optometry is then straight ahead on the left-hand side just 4 storefronts away! This makes for a for a very quick in/out trip to this otherwise confusing shopping mall.

I first went into Lenscrafters and was quoted upwards of 1200 dollars. This was due to the fact that I brought in my own frames , size of frames etc. Having never worn glasses before, I assumed that this was what they cost and would have to fork out the bux in order to see properly. I told the rep that I'd grab some lunch and think about it... On my way out of the mall I noticed Image and thought why not... I spoke with Jared, nice kid... Very knowledgable etc... He gave me a quote of 389.00 for the same materials and coatings without trying to upsell . Needless to say (but I'm gonna!) It definitely pays to look around!

I love the prescription pair of glasses and second pair of transitions I purchased from Image. The transitions are my first ever, and they exceed my expectations. They are not too dark indoors during the brief transition period from dark lens to clear and they reduce glare significantly when outside in the sun. Image may be a smaller store, but it still manages to have a good selection of quality frames including some difficult-to-find sizes. The employees are friendly, helpful, very patient, and knowledgeable. If you have PWD or MSO coverage from the Ministry, have them call the Ministry prior to purchasing. The Ministry will confirm you have coverage (typically around $125 every 3 years) and it will be deducted from the price at the time of purchase. Also take advantage of whatever sale is happening if you can (usually a discount on a second pair of glasses). This comes in handy if you lose/break a pair of glasses or want one regular pair and one pair of sunglasses. I came to Image after bad experiences at an optometrist's office (poor service from a rude employee), at Optik's International (multiple pairs of poor quality frames that broke), and purchasing cheap frames online that never fit and broke easily. The Rayban frames I bought from Image appear to be well-made and I opted for the best quality coatings. I am very particular about how my glasses fit, and was nervous about buying frames that looked good, but had arms that were too long. An employee (Ava, I believe) spent over an hour patiently adjusting the frames for me. I must have tried them on over 20 times, but low and behold, she made them fit! I was very impressed. She was also able to answer my many questions. 5+ stars for her. Also regarding fit, in case frames don't fit or just don't look right, they do have a 90 day return policy. Image also offers additional warranty. Lastly, another employee (whose name I don't know - she is a petite Asian woman with a genuine smile), gets 5+ stars for helping me for over 2 hours select and purchase glasses. She even shared a cookie from her lunch with me as I hadn't eaten in a long time. Wonderful service all around! I definitely recommend purchasing glasses from Image. They aren't the "cheapest" compared to "bargain" competitors, but you get what you pay for. Out of the dozen or so frames I've had in my lifetime, my Image frames are the best. They also got my new precription dead-on. I adapted to the change within hours, and see so clearly now!

My first time using a Groupon Coupon, but took a chance on the Image Optometry offer of $90 for eye exam, 6 months contacts and pair of glasses. Got a full exam, and contacts straight away. And the glasses were readay after just one week. I just had to pay an extra $80 for special thinner lenses for my prescription. But total of $170 for all of that, can't be beat! The staff are mostly very young, and most still being trained in the job, but really aim to please, and do give excellent service. When I realized it was only 4 business days until I left on my trip, and was waiting for a second pair to be made up. I emailed them in the eve and was pleasantly surprised to get an immediate response, and the glasses came in the very next day. They really do go the extra mile, and can't get glasses for less in a regular store.

I normally don't write reviews but after my great experience here I had to! I came in with a prescription that would have costed me more than 200$ for just the lenses (the optometrist said I should get progressives). Now I don't know that much about glasses so I am thankful that the two girls working there helped me understand how much more progressives would be, how they would be different from my other glasses and explained my other options if I didn't want to get progressive lenses. I ended up going with their suggestion to not get progressives and instead get distance lenses, and it ended up saving me a lot of money! Plus they were very helpful on finding some nice frames for my face :) Overall, great experience here and I will be suggesting this place to my friends and family!

I love image optometry at Mayfair mall. The customer service is always outstanding. All the staff are very patient and informative. I recently had a pair of prescription sunglasses but found the brown lens to be too light. The staff were super understanding and I was able to exchange the lens for a darker one with no questioning and at no cost. Our family doesn’t go anywhere else for eyewear, contacts and eye exams. Highly recommend.
