Love this place. People here not only care for the patients, they go the extra mile.
Thank you for always taking such a good care of my babies. Best nurses ever!!!
Really enjoying my time here. Small classes. Lots of one on one time with my professors. Great environment. I'm not Adventist and I don't feel out of place. I'm also not vegetarian, so I wish there was a place on campus where I could find a good, old-fashioned burger :-)
The worst experience EVER!!! IT'S AN UNORGANIZED EVEN THE NURSES ARE COMPLAINING ON EACH OTHER! I GAVE IT 1 STAR BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE AY LEAST THE NURSES ARE NICE, UNORGANIZED BUT NICE
My 4 year old sister has appendicitis and the ER told us it would take 1-2 hours for her to be seen. This is something that needs to be treated ASAP. Please do not come here if you have a serious life threatening emergenc. Do yourself a favor and head over to Rancho Springs theyre much more helpful!
We took my husband in to the emergency room 3 days before Christmas. The staff was AMAZING! They admitted him and ran all the tests they needed to diagnose him. (Luckily it wasn't a stroke.) The staff set him up with an exercise for his hand that has helped tremendously in regaining the function. And they were able to release him less than 24 hours after he was admitted. I have never experienced such quick, positive action from a hospital before. The staff not only worked quickly, they were also courteous and pleasant. They treated my husband with respect rather than a nuisance taking up their valuable time. I highly recommend Loma Linda to everyone!
NOT much of a good place to be. Them receiving paper work and processing them is not professional. They are also EXTREMELY rude people in their GYNO/ONC department, not necessary from all of them ( I have not came across everyone in that department. ) Service was rendered form them, whether for me or someone else I will NOT say, but years ago and EVEN NOW they needed to improve on their costumer service skills. Someone recently lied to a doctors office and said that {will not give the patients name} did not want to give them information. The patient realized that Loma told a lie from what the doctor's office who preferred the patient told the patient; seems like they failed to tell them that the patient WAS willing to CALL back and GIVE them the info. Let's look at the facts if someone is ill and have an illness obviously whoever IS going to call them back, so that whoever can get help! Half way telling the truth is still NOT good! Shame on Loma Linda. Years ago there was a Virginia that was spoken to in the same department, this person was very offensive over the phone, GUESS what? I recorded and might put that on YOUTUBE one day and in the future I will be recording more. I have evidence ! Patent will be keep anonymous
I had extreme pain on the inner side of my thy. Next to my scrodum . They took a 3D look to see a pinched nerve. Instead of crawling I walked out pain free.
The wait here varies and sometimes may be a bit long. But it's still worth it because the staff is so friendly and caring. Doctors have good bedside manners too.
They take good care of my grandson NICU.
Our baby was born with gastroschisis, and the doctors/nurses took care of it with ease. Very qualified staff. Our baby is now 8 months old, happy and healthy as can be!
The emergency room was a good experience.. although my sister was in a lot of pain all the staff was amazing specially nurse paola god bless her kindness and understanding!! She was great
I hate this hospital it's just a bunch new students studying to be a doctor! It's like their doing an experiment. If you don't have kaiser go somewhere else but not here! The wait in the E.R is not worth the wait! My friend Waited in the E.R for more than 12 hours sorry but don't go here! •_•
Waiting in ER is unbelievably long. Perhaps because they are so busy. Care in the hospital is pretty good. Doctors and nurses are mostly caring, but it feels like if you complain about something they will make you regret you ever picked this place. And my family and I always compliment and NEVER leave a negative comment, but this felt so wrong that I feel that the public should know. I was told by my surgeon and PT that I was leaving on Monday. That I would be able to walk and do stairs before I would be released and that I would have home health ready to take over when I got home. It was Saturday, I had good care all week, my husband did not like how he saw the new nurse treating me over and over again. I didn't either, but I suffered and cried in silence. My husband complained to the charge nurse, (my husband is a kind and polite Christian man) and next thing I knew I was being discharged that very Saturday! Before, I was ready! When I got home My family and I were frightened. We did not know how to care for my wounds. My upper left leg was 90 % numb, pain in my back was excruciating and I had severe headaches and nausea and there was no home health set up for us!
I love loma linda hospital its the best hospital????????
Beware this place is a scam !!! This is a training hospital !!!!!!!! This account is completely true and you can PM me for any details. We were on vacation and my wife fell sick with the flu. It was January of 2018 and the flu was going around. My wife was pale, vomiting and had a high fever of 103. We took her in and not only did they not test her for the flu for the first two hours but shuttled her in and out of the waiting room back and forth to the counter and to different rooms with a long list of different things they were testing her for. This Hospital is a learning center, so they took us to every possible student that worked in a different area could get their chance at doing something. With my wife’s obvious symptoms of the flu virus they proceeded to test my wife’s urine, blood, installed an IV in her arm, made her do an Xray of the chest (in which she vomited and crouched in the corned for 15 minutes before we put her in a wheel chair) then they had the nerve to send us to a different floor to do an ultra sound!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL for the flu??????!!!! When they finally did the test for the flu they told us it would be several hours because it was a learning hospital and they had a class that would look at the results and examine the sample my wife gave for a learning lesson for the students!!!! They put my wife in the waiting room full of transients and homeless sick people because there was no room in the hospital. I finally took her to the car. We went to another hospital in which they took one look a her took a cotton swab and tested her saliva for the flu in 10 minutes it came back positive and we were on our way with a prescription of antibiotics. Loma Linda University failed that night! The nurses and staff here were very unprofessional a complete fiasco of incompetence and utter disregard for their patients, was our assessment of this test lab of a hospital. I will never go back. To add insult to injury we were notified that our account is now in collections, without us even being notified because our insurance only paid $7600. Of the $8000+ bill ! $8000.+ For absolutely nothing except a very horrifying time for me and my poor wife, no treatment and a huge bill! We are currently looking into taking legal action, because nobody should ever be treated this way.
Thank you soooo much for giving us our mom back better then ever. You guys made it possible. She had a tumor removed from her stomach and all the staff was very professional. I would like to add not to leave expensive items in the rooms. My AirPods went missing. I’ll still give it 5 starts because what matter most to us was my moms health and they delivered. I hope who ever took the air pods really enjoys them it was the last gift I had from my father.
So far all my care has been excellant. Organized, friendly, informative. I love this place!
worse hospital ever. my baby was just born 5/25/16 an. we. all ed for a nurse help an took over. 2 hours for one to come an help my daughter then I walk out to find them all laughing and sitting an just talking.an over hear. that they sell baby fetuses I'm going to be emailing the main people an complain that's no way to treat an new life to this world
Faith-based hospital that's frankly, missing all the passion and love for patient care. Staff are uninspired. Infections rates would probably be lower if your staff were taught to consistently wash their hands between patients and Scrub the hub for goodness sake!!! Patient outcomes might be greatly improved...if their policies were revised as well. Patients need family support to get well! Very limited visiting hours. Loma Linda, aspire for greatness in healthcare! Right now your facility is... disappointing :(
I've had both my children at this hospital and my husband had major surgery and a 3 week stay. They had a place for me to take my kids and safely check them in while I visited my husband in ICU. Highly recommended.
This institution has and will continue to save my life my life has been saved no less than 3 times and now I'm being saved for the 4th Jesus is in the spirit of this place
I never been there, but I saw the news, how you lie to people to let die a person. Shame on you and the dirt on your office.
How much love they have for our children
Once you get to a Doctor you will get good care. GIVE UP TRYING TO GET THROUGH! WORST PHONE SUSTEM EVER!
This review is for my ER visit on 12/18/2021 I was greatly pleased and satisfied with my experience throughout the ER processes. From registration to Radiology, to the nurses, physicians, anesthesiologist and surgeons helping fix my stomach problem. It turns out, the best way to attack my issue was through surgery—something I’ve never been through. Needless to say, I was afraid. However, while waiting to be booked into the OR I was speaking to the doctors and nurses and they all assured me everything will be okay and thoroughly explained my issue and pros and cons if I choose to or not to do my surgery. The resident physician that was with me since the beginning made me feel at ease. Since the beginning of my visit he was talking to me about my symptoms while getting my IV in and examining me with another doctor to pin point the issue. I wish I could personally thank him. Sorry I forgot your name but all I know is that you were wearing a gray Patagonia sweater! ???? I am very grateful that I decided to go into surgery. I am barely hours post-op but that stomach pain is gone. Of course, there’s typical incision pain but that’s normal. I would just like to thank the entire staff that took care of me yesterday, I will always appreciate that hard work you guys do to heal people’s lives.❤️
Outstanding staff, worked in conjunction with Loma Linda VA
Took my 6yr old non verbal son who is on the spectrum. He was having stomach pains and also trouble breathing. There was some great staff there but most of them had no idea what they were doing. It was a sensory overload for my son due to being very unorganized. They had no rooms for a situation like that. My son was screaming and all they kept doing was trying to get his blood pressure. There were other children next to us that also were sick, so the screaming wasn't fair for those children that were resting. I felt so bad, but that's the way my son communicates. We had other parents giving us dirty looks and a group of nurses just staring. It made us feel very uncomfortable. They sent my son home with the diagnoses of heat exhaustion. They ran zero test and nothing was ever done. It was like we were a bother and they were rushing us out.
The conditions of this hospital are so deplorable, they are absolutely beyond the description of words. A part of their waiting room consists of folding chairs located outdoors. The wait to be seen is anywhere from 8 to 12 hours!?! When you look around, it feels like you’re either in Tijuana, or in a newly founded hospital under a tent somewhere in Africa. If you have any other choices, do yourself a favor and avoid the agony!
Love it but as with any hospital the wait time is the only bummer even with an appointment, but other than that my experience was great!
Great Hospital
Waited 9hours in ER for nothing. They NEED TO REVIEW THE WAY THEY DO THE ER.
Nice staff but I'm guessing 0 technology because every time I'm here it takes 6 hours just for them to determine something small and simple I grow tired of wasting hours sitting in a lobby full of sick people for an unessesary amount of time when I could have saved 5 hours by driving to San marcos cause over there it's quick in and out with fast results this place needs to pick up the pace or modify something there are people who need help now not 6 hours from now at your latest convenience never coming back here no thank you not for $ 100 no thank you waste of time I'm better off guessing whats wrong and and figuring it out myself????
Handling Covid with amazing care, the facilities are spotless. This is a teaching hospital and often students accompany your Physician in their care of you. I feel very comfortable with my Primary Care Physician now. I did not like my first Primary Care Physician, very impersonal guy. I explained this to the Nursing Staff and was given many others to choose from with absolutely no fuss and was transferred immediately. I have been very happy with all 6 of my Specialty referrals and noticed that they are all cooperating together in my care. The Staff and Nurses are wonderfully friendly and caring. I feel safe at this Hospital. That means a lot coming from me, because I am deathly afraid of Doctors and Hospitals with good reason. We all need to be advocates for our health, the Doctor isn't always right. You can be sure you will be listened to at LLUMC.
I am so impressed with the care my son received Sunday in the ER. The staff was great in every aspect. Thank you to all the staff who worked with my son and I with his fracture!
One of the best place for Medical care in California.
Came here because it was the closest ER when I dislocated my shoulder. Had extreme pain and thought my shoulder was gonna be popped into place in no time, however they had me sit and take blood pressure tests and answer questions for 2 hours straight in addition to sit and wait for a doctor for another 2 hours! Just to fix my shoulder in less than 3 minutes. Amazes me how inattentive these nurses/front desk/medical assistants or what have you are. If I had known it was gonna be this long, I’d have popped my shoulder back myself smh. PLS if you have an emergency whether it’d be physical or mental or anything that requires medical assistance, I urge you to find another medical center because it CLEARLY shows this one could careless.
My review is not a pleasing one I was a patient at LLUMC for 8 days some time ago. I was sedated and restrained under 24 hour watch the entire time by multiples nursing staff due to brain trauma pedestrian auto accident. The last day there I went home only to realize my engagement ring,a ring of my deceased mother's, and 3 rings given to me by other family members were gone.i began to search my photos from police accident report .as I was being placed into ambulance truck on a the gurney one of my hands the rings were on one hand.my eyeglasses were on my face.other photos of me in the hospital bed clearly no rings on either hands.i did some research on health facility and nursing staff protocol concerning money and valuables .
100% Patient service, bedside manner, diagnosis information and timely responses from start to finish.
This is the absolute best trauma unit in the Inland Valley. The work they do here is amazing and everyone there should be congratulated. A five star hospital with 5 star medical professionals.
I am very happy & pleased. I have found a lot information and resources + places. NOT to mention it's FREE. AT&T charges close to $120 a month for the Same services.
My wife went to the OB/GYN group at Loma Linda Health for a pregnancy. They asked for insurance information to calculate cost, which we provided. After running the insurance, they calculated an expected amount and insisted on payments. As it was near the end of the year, I informed them that my insurance would be changing and the amount I would be responsible for would be greatly reduced next year. They said no problem, they would update the contact after I knew what the new terms were and would recalculate payments or refund money any paid over the new contract. I notified them in November and December that my plan had changed and they said they couldn’t do anything until after the first of the year. They then insisted on collecting another $630 from my wife in Mid Jan and we paid upon reassurance that if we over paid it would be refunded. The contract was finally re-calculated and signed in Feb after they had tried to collect $630 twice in Feb (which we refused). The new contract showed that we had already paid more than double the expected amount. We asked for a refund and were told that it was there policy to not provide refunds until after pregnancy, delivery, post pregnancy care and insurance had paid their part (about 8 months after the delivery). When I asked for a copy of the policy, we were told we should have known the policy because we have had a child there before. We escalated our issue to Loma Linda patient relations and were told that it was the policy of the OB/GYN group to not refund over payments until sometime after they decided they were done with it and the Patient relationship group could not force them to change their policy. When I asked for a copy of the policy, we found out about a week later that there was no “written Policy” but that was the way they did it. I have a written contract signed by both parties that shows I have met our projected financial obligations and that Loma Linda Health has over collected. Loma Linda Health is refusing to refund money that they know is not theirs in spite of a contract which they signed. Loma Linda OB/GYN finance and Office is poorly ran and they do not have important policies written that can be used to inform patients and ensure that they are being fairly treated.
They ruined my grandmother's life. When she was ill they pressured to do a heart surgery and then they failed at the procedure. Due to their failure at the procedure, she was unattended and grew an infection under their 'care'. They tried to tell her to cut off her foot, that they let get infected. She had to leave this hospital due to their malpractice, recklessness, and uncleanissliness. She was a fairly healthy woman until she came here and now she has been in hospitals for a year, due to their failure.
Two days waiting outdoors at the emergency room. Mis diagnosis of heart condition. Never renew prescriptions when requested by my pharmacy. Dr asks the same 15 questions and tells me to come back in X months, without making a diagnosis. Heart center prescribed a drug which is believed to be a carcinogen when other drugs are available. It is really hard to get anybody to listen to you. They ask their standard questions ( like “Are you depressed?”) but ignore the problem I came in for. Poor listening. Exception I’d the urology group. Outstanding.
They saved my life fixed my broken bones kept me alive had great medical teams had great child care since I was 13
Proton Radiation at LLUMC is by far the better option over traditional Radiation treatments. Far less side effects with Proton Radiation. You will need to qualify medically within the parameters & check with your insurance to cover this option. I am very grateful to have this option.
I'm not sure if Joanna Nelson still works here as the The Foundation Grant's manager, but if she did it's important that the University medical center knows that she recently made some very "questionable" statements on social media about race in the United States of America. That's not a good image for the university to have. Whoever her supervisor is, they may want to remind her that she represents Loma Linda University Medical so she needs to watch what she posts on social media.
From diagnosis to surgery within one week. Excellent care and attentiveness while in the hospital. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks. Admitted 2 days after diagnosis.
I love this hospital. I always have a wonderful experience and feel like the staff really cares about my well-being.
My father had a quadruple by-pass surgery this past week. The Dr and Nurses were excellent! They were able to explain what was going on and were very accommodating to us during these COVID times.
Dr.Turay is one best surgeons there. Trust him, he knows what he is doing.
Being raised catholic I’ve actually grown up to become an atheist by my own free will. Looking at the curriculum made me cringe as it integrated religion it seems forced even a letter of recommendation said pastor in it. I’d rather grow and learn from a friendly more adapted university elsewhere.
This is where I gave birth to my very first child Eliana. At first when we went onto the maternity tour, they went over a lot of information. I have a major anxiety disorder so I ended up having a anxiety attack at the hospital only because I was scared of what could go wrong. The teacher was really nice and even helped me get into a room with a nurse and a social worker to help me stay calm. The next visit to the hospital was to take tests so that the delivery would have my information to see if I was ready to deliver. Even though the technician who was doing the ultrasound that day, ruined the surprise of the gender for me, most of the other nurses helped me realize that I was going to have a blessing in a few days. I was scheduled for an inducement since I was 39 weeks and I wasn't having any symptoms of labor yet. Even though we came in late, we decided to stay since me and my boyfriend were mostly excited and patient to have our first child. We got there around 1pm and didn't get a room until 6:30pm. Our first nurse was Olga. She was ok and helped me deliver Eliana. Since I wasn't even dilated, they gave me a medicine to help me start which was around 11pm. Once she was delivered around 5AM, we got a room to ourselves which was really nice and we were both really exhausted so we slept almost the entire day. Once we got our rest Nurse Mala, Nellie and Brianne were really great in providing care for me. Unfortunately my little girl had to NICU for her blood sugar levels. At first, I cried because I didn't know how to react to the situation and I couldn't even sleep but Nurses Renee, Shellie and Debbie were really Great and helped Eliana stay stabled and were doing an amazing job to make sure that my daughter would come home one day closer. They even have been teaching us how to take care of her, to keep her clean and what to do and what not to do. Food was really amazing and I loved the fact that I had a nutritionist to help me gain my energy back. I was Amazed that the hospital gave me manual pumps for me to breast feed. Even showed us how to use it which was really cool. I loved the fact that I was able to visit Ellie in NICU throughout the day and night. Best hospital to give birth at. ????
I didn’t choose to come to this hospital. I was involved in a car accident a year ago and taken to this hospital. Very poor service. They didn’t believe me when I told them I couldn’t walk and wouldnt X-ray my spine and hip until I kept insisting. When the results came back I had multiple fractures and they just sent me home when I explained to them I couldn’t move without feeling a lot of pain let alone walk out the doors. However they kept insisting I was fine. I do not recommend this hospital. Very unattentive.
Came in for chest pains at 10 pm and wasnt till 7am with not even seeing a doctor and just being written off by staff while a guy with a cut finger is being cleaned by 3 different doctors. Corona regional is by far better.... And that's saying something.
My First time to this hospital I'm currently addmitted so my nurse CYNTHYA is amazing she is constantly on alert to all and any of my needs she's so sweet and Care's that I'm super comfortable here is very communicative with relaying my messages with my doctor on things such as medications I do need and those I do require and request she doesn't even act like it's just a job to her I feel as if it's a mission to her and the goal is that I'm comfortable in my current situation this hospital should be proud of a nurse like CYNTHYA working for them !!!!!????
In October of 2014 I got a rare disease (GBS). They were able to diagnose it in just a few days. They ran me through test after test. The staff constantly updated me on what and why they were testing. I remember the first night I was still being examined in the ER. I was so afraid I asked one of the doctors would he pray with me he took a few minutes to pray and even had a verse to comfort me. I truly believe that the reason I am alive today is because of the wonderful doctors and nurses
Worst hospital. Completely money minded. I don't even want to waste my time writing a review for this. PLEASE chose some other hospital/doctor's if possible.
Loma Linda has been a dream come true. I went in hopeing they'd help but expecting the worse. The E.Rs around me have drilled the fact that they don't care into my head so, subconsciously I was expecting it to be the same. I am from around the tri city area. (Victorville, Hesperia, Apple Valley, Adelanto) I went in and they seemed to really care. They wanted, just as badly as I do, to figure out how to get the constant pain to stop. The Doctors in the Urgent Care gave me hope when I had none. They fought with me to figure out that all my issues are because of the arachnoid cyst. The headaches, vision disturbances, ect. They have discussed with me treatment options and answered any and all questions my husband and I had. I am thankful to this hospital and the amazing doctors and nurses who work there. Thank you Nurse Sally for providing laughter in a scary time. Thank you Jenn for the conversation and the pure love you resonate constantly. My Nurses: Sally, Jenn
Twice I came here for my dad to get a simple perscription. Took over 2 HOURS!!.. absolutely no sense of urgency for anyone. This place is terrible!! And the people that give this 5 stars most likely work here and are posting under a surname.
I was escorted to the front of the line. I was catered to left and right. I could not have asked for more regarding my illness. I was very impressed with all of the staff who catered to my needs. My old man has been a E.R. physician there for thirty five years.
It’s time to change your policies. EVERYONE needs at least one advocate at the hospital in order to get proper care. And we don’t need hugs from hospital staff who are denying access to loved ones. I can’t see my father because of Covid-19, but your receptionist has the nerve to try to hug my mom. Inconsistent and disgusting! We have no way to reach the doctors or receive information, and no one is providing us with updates. We just spoke with the case coordinator and she hung up on us!
The dentist and other workers were extremely nice and very helpful to my son's dental needs. I give this dental hospital an A+ rating. Highly recommendable...
My daughter was very well taken care of on her stay for a heart monitoring. Thank you doctors and nurses and all personnel. Blessings of health and strength.
I have a triple Dr. Team here. A Neuro Surgeon, A Neurologist and Opthalmologist. The best care and team I have ever experienced. They literally cross all T's and dot all i's. The care is exceptional really. Because of their care and follow up I literally don't have to have brain surgery. I still have one more surgery. But at least I know it's from a team of exceptional doctors that have my best care and interest at heart. I've spent more time here in the last year then I care to admit. But it was worth my life.
When I was a baby I was diagnosed with anamia during blood check and after that I was in a ambulance and went straight to that hospital to get it get treated and they did great job to save me and I stay there only for three days.
Great staff, drs are good with communication. The food is not that great , but it is vegetarian.
My special needs nephew was transferred here from Children's Hospital in LA ((HUGE MISTAKE)) His mother without notifying the family transferred his records in September yet when we get there in *DECEMBER 2018*, they state there are still no records of his medical history. A bunch of resident (students) came in and asked the same questions over and over when we were transferred to the emergency room. They are unprofessional and lack many specialized doctors. Most of the staff is rude with the exception of some. My nephew was admitted and I'm almost sure it was just to get money from his medical insurance. Nothing was done to him. That night my nephew's mom took over and I called to get information, but nobody called me back. I talked to nurse Annie in building 5002 and I left a message for my nephew's nurse to please call me back since he/she was busy at the moment. I needed an update since I was the one who took him to the hospital and stood there all day. Yet nobody returned my call, not even to let me know that they can't give me any information. A Respiratory nurse by the name of Teddy was rude and unprofessional. I specifically asked him not to suction my nephew through his nose, yet he didn't listen, causing my nephew to bleed. He completely ignored me and didn't even try suctioning when clearly my nephew was choking. I had to ask Dr. Den (Resident) to remove Teddy as my nephew's respiratory nurse. Even she noticed how unprofessional Teddy was acting and said I was right. He then turned around and said he wasn't bleeding. I took a picture of the suction cup as evidence. (See pictire) Nurses like Teddy should be fired and be banned from working with kids. We need professionals, not insensitive people. Really disappointed, and we are definitely transferring my nephew back to Children's Hospital in LA. WE DIDN'T EVEN GET AN APOLOGY! Valet parking staff is really nice and helpful. That's probably the only good thing from this hospital.
By far the WORST hospital I have ever been to in my life! Almost 12 hour wait in their dirty, nasty, disgusting, over crowded waiting room, and I am an asthmatic who was having SEVERE CHEST PAIN! I was told by a registration rep that I needed to stand, because I was too close to her window. Did I mention I was having CHEST PAIN!? Another patient went and got me a wheelchair, so I could sit. I left AMA and went to St. Bernadine and was taken back and treated immediately. By the way, to all who are writing about how great the staff is, I eyewitnessed two patients getting yelled at by two staff members. I have filed a grievance with my insurance about their "care" for me. Stay away from Loma Linda!
My experience was wonderful i was there about a year ago excellent staff very friendly i just loved it
They took really good care of me, even though nothing was actually wrong with me. Sorry for wasting your time and space guys, thanks again.
Gave birth at this hospital 2 times and both experiences with this hospital have been so comfortable and welcoming. My mother and aunt gave birth here as well , and they loved their births here. The nurses took such good care of me and treated me like family. I've never shared a room while laboring or for delivery but one of my births i did have to share a recovery room for a bit because they were super packed but i didnt mind because it was still very spacious.. I loved the attention they pay to the patients. My son goes to the children's side for cardiac dept. and they treat him just as well. The staff is very loving at this hospital and i recomend it to any family or soon to be parents . Ive had close friends deliver at other hospitals and nothing beats this Hospital.
T-bone crash
After a great deal of research I chose and happily contacted this establishment. After being on hold for 15 minutes, a blase and rude receptionist answered the phone. She made me feel like an idiot and piece of dirt. It is so saddening that such a highly regarded establishment with such good doctors has let itself drop to this level. Shame.
I love this hospital. One of the best I've ever been to. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare, but that in no way reflects on their treatment or care. I had a UAE procedure last week, & they were great from the time I walked in, til the time I was discharged. Nurses & doctors were great, informative, & never kept me waiting. I highly recommend Loma Linda.
A very clean hospital. Very into the Holy Spirit, and Christmas festivities. All staff we talked to seemed very friendly.
Horrible Ive had horrible headaches for many years now and they have not helped at all...I only go into the ER when I can't handle it and they are horrible.. The wait is soo long and when you get in there its even longer..they don't listen they don't care ....one of the worlds greatest hospital s my ass
Our daughter was taken in to LLUCH in December 2014. For over 3 years, doctors ignored her labs, her images, and symptoms. They treated symptoms and failed to look for cause. They determined she had migraines which I disputed time and time again; however, once it's in the record, nobody looks beyond it. Our daughter died from cancer. Cancer that was left untested, undiagnosed, untreated because "we don't expect to see it in children." That is it. Even though a doctor mentioned the cancer in January 2015 as a differential diagnosis. They still refused to test. I asked for the specific testing February 21, 2018 and was told it was unnecessary as her labs were normal. They were far from normal. Another doctor noted to do the tests that same week. They did one. And failed to read the results until March 1, 2018. We were told 3 days before she passed away she may have cancer. We found out 6 weeks after she passed away it was a form of leukemia. I'm not sure how doctors who treat leukemia every day fail to recognize leukemia. One doctor ran tests for Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency the week of February 20, 2018. She came running into PICU the morning our daughter passed away saying she failed to read the test results and didn't know if this was contributing to our daughter's condition. Nobody at LLUCH, LLUMC, LLUHS will speak to us. We are referred to patient relations. Patient Relations refers us to Risk Management. Risk Management won't return our calls. But they are sure to send us letters asking for donations and nomination for our "favorite" doctor. They even sent us a reminder letter of our loss and how to grieve and get through the holidays without our daughter. Due to the medical malpractice laws, despite having a clear case as told by attorneys, we cannot gain representation. This means LLUCH will get away with gross medical negligence resulting in the death of our daughter. Their doctor told us had she been tested and treated earlier she'd still be here with us. #JordansStory #somedayshewillchangetheworld #medicalmalpractice #grossmedicalnegligence #noexcuse #micraprotectsdoctorsnotpatients
Everyone was kind and very polite. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because I had to wait a very long time before being seen. I did ask a couple of times as to whether that I was forgotten. LOL
This school is NOT worth the price tag! What I don't like about the University overall is that the real college experience is missing. First, each school is separate so there are little social opportunities between schools. So, meeting other students that you don't attend class with is difficult. Often big universities have lots of activities you can be involved in but this one doesn't have much. Students can use the gym because it is included in their tuition but it is too small, over-crowded and often students complain about waiting at least 2 hours just to get on a tread mill. It is not in a very nice area either with a lot of strange people hanging around the campus. It gets up to 115 degrees in the summer, dry and very smoggy. Parking is a nightmare. The library is tiny and the online resources are not very good. There were problems with the program I was in. Some of the faculty are very arrogant and think of students as beneath them. Students don't have a voice and don't come first. We were not really free to voice our options. We had class all day for 12 hours straight which is not a good learning environment. Some of the teachers were good while other just rambled on and on for 3 hours straight but the attendance policy is so strict you much attend or fail. The 'great' hospital is crowded and often times people have to wait 10 hours or more to be treated and the main person taking care of you is a student.
I came to the ER because of a headache, they told me I needed an IV ( I have a phobia for needles, which I told them beforehand. Well they decide they could careless and have one of their nurses practice with me. What part of I have a phobia they didn't get.
I went there just a couple of days ago and the entire staff there is AMAZING !!! I didn't even make it in the er doors and was met by 3 doctors OUTSIDE who immediately RAN with me and the heads of several other departments down the hallway to the CT scan room . They were on it ???? !!!!
Went in at 130pm for a 230pm surgery, met Bailey in pre-op who did such a fantastic job on my IVs that they lasted 5 days and were removed because i was preparing for discharge. Thankyou Bailey an RN from preoperative nursing. Post op was 9th floor ICU where another RN Jessica took excellent care of me with her team for 3 days when i was moved to the 10th floor recovery for recovery and OT,PT therapies where i received excellent care from yet another RN from 10th floor nursing. Nakako was very attentive to me while also taking care of other patients! She like the others explained the medications as she gave them to me so that i would know i was also getting my normal prescriptions too! I spoke japanese 24 years ago and i enjoyed speaking, the little that came back to me, with Nakako! I want to thank her and be sure that she gets recognized for her giving excellent care and reporting my arrhythmia to hold my release one more day! The care and the food combined made me want to stay longer, ive never seen food on the menu or tasted it in meals like the incredible meals i had during my stay, and i say stay instead of admittance because it was like a hotel stay! Thankyou everyone at LLUMC! My surgeon was Dr Salman Zaheer from thorasic surgery. He performed robotic upper lobectomy on my right lung for cancer removal. Great surgeon got me on my feet the next day! I will recommend him to anyone having thoracic surgery of any kind!
This hospital is very professional and they take really good care of the patients. All the nurses and doctors are very caring and compassionate
8+ Hours plus wait time in the ER Don't get me wrong, the service and its people are great once you get your name called. They only call 3-5 patients an hour based on illness severity. I have family that has mental health issues and we had to haggle with one of the nurses just to get some help. They had told us that wait time for us would be 12 hours until they can get a transfer from another hospital. The wait time was so grueling that people had to resort to sleeping on the floor for most of the time. How are you able to pay for a $1.2B expansion project if you can't even get more doctors for your CURRENT patients?
My daughter got transferred here from another hospital for higher level of care. And so far the staff have been amazing. The doctor has explained every detail about the surgery. I highly recommend this hospital to family and friends.
I gave birth at this hospital and honestly it was such a nice experience and the nurses were super nice and supportive. They took good care of me and attended to all my needs. I no longer live in the Inland Empire but if I would recommend a hospital for expecting moms it would be this one.
Amazing place.I had to have emergency gallbladder removal on Friday night.I was transferred down from Big Bear while on vacation. The staff are amazing.Thank you so much.I was home the next day.I live in Las Vegas, and I'm so glad I had my surgery there and not in Vegas!
The wife and I had the best experience bringing our daughter in this world from the delivery room, recovery room and our actual room. The staff all are very knowledgeable in all aspects of their job duties. I must say as a picky person in food test, the cafeteria is an A+ from with so many choices and variety kinds of food. Overall our three day stay is a 11 out of 10!!
Edited to Add: I'll say they earned their 1 star because their administrators are pretty awesome. The only good things that came out of the visit were because my fiancee talked to the admin, who did go set the doctor that saw her straight. So if you're having trouble here go see the admins. But in all seriousness, some people shouldn't be practicing medicine and the doctor who saw my fiancee is definitely one of them. If I could give them a 0 I would. My fiancee was sent here from urgent care because the doctors there were unable to administer anything that would stop her severe coughing fits. She has chronic bronchitis and COPD and the coughing is so bad she hasn't been able to sleep for days. After sitting alone in a room for over 4 hours, never getting an IV (despite getting an insert), having coughing fits so bad that people came to close the door because of the noise, and asking over THREE separate people for help who never returned, the original person who saw her came in and (very aggressively and rudely) told her she wasn't having an emergency and to go home. Basically, the guy told her to suck it up. They never once tried to administer oxygen to her despite the fact that she was in severe respiratory distress. This place is garbage and so is everyone who works here (edit: except the administrators). Take your loved ones elsewhere so you don't waste hundreds of dollars only to not get medical care.
I'm not sure about any other part of the hospital , but I give 5 stars to the heart Institute. They are good and take there time with you.
The whole person care that is delivered here is amazing.
I went to go visit my mother who is currently in care, the nurses there treated her very well, seemed like they were handling her with care whilst learning about different things since they looked new/ like students. The doctor was informative about what was going to happen during my mother's surgery and continuously asked if i had any questions. I really feel secure and relieved that my mother seems to be in great hands. The university in general seems extremely huge. I am writing this because i see a lot of mixed reviews, and some about letting their patients die, i just wanted to reassure people since this is also the first time I've attended the hospital from arrowhead ( they transferred here from arrow head to loma) ????????
This hospital is the perfect example of a VERY LARGE CORPORATION exploiting the public, receiving State/Federal funds and acting acting as though they have their own set of laws, rendering the Constitution and all Actual laws irrelevant. They get you, our your child in our case in, then you are at the mercy of their incompetent and arrogant staff until your "allowed" to leave. I had an altercation with their wanna be cop security guard, Mike Taylor, in front of my 5 other kids which he initiated by yelling at the kids for sitting on the floor of a hallway, then as I came out he got even more biggie chested ultimately ending with a physical altercation. Thank GOD I didn't show him what real MMA is because he, his colleagues and a supposed witness said I started it and the Sheriff that responded told me that if he had "marks", I would be arrested. They would ABSOLUTELY NOT listen to my children's account which is even more ridiculous as "MIKEY" assaulted my 14 and 15 year old sons as they tried to push him off my chest. I have called administration, giving them the chance to properly settle this assault so by the end of this week I will have my lawyer file the lawsuit to force them to be accountable. If this happens there will be no settlement, we WILL take it all the way to the jury trial so the kids can tell their story and they can see justice. As a disabled veteran and father of 6, I implore you to take your family, children, friends and whoever else in need to Hospitals/Children's Hospitals outside the Valley. I have an extensive and troubling medical history which makes me very educated on the fact that THIS hospital is a danger to your life. On a side note, to my Patriotic Countryman, MIKE TAYLOR has no problem attacking disabled and children. Be warned. Their worthless VA Facility is responsible for 8 of my fellow Veterans and thousands more, which we all know is due to their lack of triage, care and arrogance. Again, "MIKEY TAYLOR" is a rent-a-cop that acts like he's above reproach so if you see him approaching, be on alert to his attitude, demeanor and willingness to lie. His coworkers will absolutely lie just like the crooked cops we've seen all over the Country to cover their asses and protect their little group of tyrannical, panty-waste faction. Sincerely, Real American Patriots
After a surgery with negative results and multiple blunders performed at a competing hospitol, I chose Loma Linda to correct all issues. Best decision ever! The colorectal surgery staff and general surgery staff was top notch on all levels. All pre-op tests where performed with skill and assured me that I was going to get great results. Surgeries where then scheduled with ease and executed in 5-star fashion with a host of highly educated and dedicated professionals. Post surgery care was the best I have ever encountered. I can't say enough about how a horrible experience was turned 360 degrees with excellent results thanks to Loma Linda Surgery.
The worst hospital we have ever been to so far. They had us waiting outside for 10 hours, then after 26 hours, they still had no room. They also took 28 hours to provide a meal to my anorexic wife!! There was no test requiring her to not eat. The place is dingy and disgusting! Save your sanity and go somewhere else! They are even a vegetarian hospital. Talk about the worst place to bring someone getting help for an eating disorder. They are shamefully ridiculous !
This hospital saved both mine & my daughters life. I am so grateful for the doctors & nurses at Loma Linda. I gave birth in Nov 2018 here & was originally suppose to deliver at Redlands Community but had some issues & decided to go to Loma Linda instead & I will never regret doing so. I had preeclampsia & was induced immediately, they took such good care of me & constantly made sure I was okay. My epidural went so smooth but unfortunately didn’t work for very long on me. After I had my daughter I ended up hemorrhaging & needed two blood transfusions. The nurses made me feel so comfortable & were an amazing support. I’m still to this day grateful for this hospital & the amazing doctor + staff. I will have ALL my babies here! Thank You Loma Linda for saving my life!!!
Amazing hospital that cares truly about your loved ones and Friends highly recommended this hospital for any medical needs
Has the worst employees ever, we have been trying to get an urgent appointment for the endocrinologist for the past week and this “Veronica” hag keeps telling us that she can’t look up our information to give us an appointment even after we keep telling her that the doctor and the insurance ordered it as urgent. She just refuses to help at all! The insurance even confirms that they should already have the info and that there’s no reason for them to be holding us up due to it being urgent but nooo this Veronica says she can’t help us... we have never gone to this hospital before but it’s already looking like it’s going to be a horrible experience having to go there and dealing with that dumb secretary...
I been waiting for an appointment for my son for almost 3 weeks, liver coordinator contacted me on a Monday saying that she received all the medical records requested and that I will get a call that same day with an appointment ,today is Friday and no call,no response to emails or voice mails, to be waiting with a liver patient and seen him getting worst daily it really brakes your heart you feel hopeless, is this the normal procedure? can someone tell me how long they wait to get an appointment to see the liver specialist?
Bottom line. Thay got the job done. Doesn't matter that thier seemed to be more rude nurse's then kind one's thay all appeared knowledgeable in there field, and I'm thankful for that. I found one kind one who explained EVERYTHING in a simple & understanding manner, God bless her and the whole staff who gave me back my mother...
Great hospital. Very caring doctors and nurses.
My mother in law has been sitting in emergency room since 130 am for a room she is 65, and they just left her sitting here freezing
The women who work behind the desk at the obgyn counter are rude, condescending and incompetent. The woman Ms. Lynn that work with insurance is also rude and incompetent. Its ridiculous the way they treat pregnant women due to their lack of knowledge about certain insurances. I will never return to any facility even associated with Loma linda after the way they treated me (Im 3 months pregnant and was basically yelled at for asking questions and correcting their mistakes they made with my insurance.)
Recently, my family had a bad experience at the Emergency Department at this hospital. We had two children go in sick within a week--and both times their condition was missed by their doctor. If you wish to know more--read on. First, I took my daughter in with a bad cough and a high fever for several days to the ED. As soon as doctor #1 came into the room (she didn't even looked at her!), she said "It's a virus" and walks out. Another doctor (doctor #2) came in looked over my daughter said "we will do an X-ray and some blood work, but I'm sure its just a virus". I was expecting it was a chest X-ray as my daughter had a cough and fever. But, when it was time to do the X-ray I was shocked to learn that was for her stomach and not her chest! 3 hours later, doctor #2 comes back in saying they found nothing and it's just a virus. The next day, I take my daughter to her primary doctor since she has missed a week of school and still has a fever. Her primary dr. sent her to an imaging clinic for a chest X-ray! And it turned out that my little girl had pneumonia. A week later, I ended up taking my son to this so called "Children's Hospital" for chest pain, 103.4 temperature, numbness in his fingers and legs, headache, chilled. Again as soon as my son gets to the room, we are told he just has a "virus". He sat there for 4 hours, no one came in the room. No nurse, nor doctor. Once the word virus was used, it was like everyone disappeared. When the doctor finally came in, I let her know that his sister has pneumonia So, they did do a chest X-ray and more blood work and a panel to test for lots of respiratory viruses. But, again, we were sent home with the diagnosis of a "very rare" virus--it just must be one they couldn't test for. Except, the next morning I get a phone call from this hospital. Said they did an over view of his X-ray and turns out--my son has pneumonia. They asked for his pharmacy information, which I gave them. I was so hopeful that we were finally going to help my son get better. After waiting awhile for the pharmacy, I started to call them every hour to check on the prescription. They kept telling me there was no order called in for him in. So I called the hospital twice that day asking if they sent in the order for medicine. And I was told that it was called in. But nothing was at the pharmacy. So, the next day, I call the hospital again--and was told the doctor "forgot" to send it to the pharmacy. So now finally, we have the order and the prescription was filled--a day-and-a-half after he was in that "ED". How does this happen?! We are never going back. If I had believed these hospital doctors, my baby's might have gotten even more seriously ill! They are too quick to call it a 'virus' instead of checking everything first--then make a diagnosis. I am their mom, I knew something more serious than a little virus was making them sick, and I took them there. But never again will we return to this sham of a hospital.
Medical Oncology is a joke. They are always busy. Dr Tsai is always running late. A nurse brings you back to the room, checks your vitals then gets a second nurse to go over your health history. By the time they both are finished it’s 15 minutes past your appointment time. Then you have to sit and wait for the doctor! That’s another 10-15 minutes. Then he comes in a repeats your diagnosis and history over! Duh I’ve been your patient for awhile now, we both know my history. And he is never clear on when he wants you to start a medication. I should have started a medication weeks ago and now I’m just finding out that it was ordered, um I never received a prescription to get my medication!! When your appointment is complete you then have to wait for the doctor to put in their notes, which usually takes another 10-15 minutes because they are doing in between patients, for the nurse to come in and schedule your next visit. I’ve been going here for months now and it’s always the same thing just another day.
Unfortunately, like most of you. I only wish I could rate this lower. I'm afraid as a result of the substandard care ( negligent treatment & delay in treatment ) my mom has received. She soon won't be able to walk due to the severity of her back injuries. I won't go into all the details surrounding this 10 year battle with Loma Linda to get her proper pain management and treatment. However I will say I have watched a beautiful women go from a very happy and active mother. To someone who talks about wanting to end it because the pain is so unbearable and can't get the help she urgently needs. Imagine how hard it is to watch your mother barely able to walk, constantly crying in pain, and unable to enjoy life anymore or play with her grand children. This hospital is disgusting, cruel, and personally should be shut down. Currently I spend most of my time sending letters to doctors, hospitals, and specialist around the country to get her some help. Also lawyering up. This could have been solved 8 years ago with a surgerysurgery SMH! The reason I'm writing this is to hopefully make others aware before you end up stuck in this hospital network. Just because they are "Church affiliated" don't mean they are good people. Granted, there is a few select nurses who are sweet. Regardless no one should have to endure what we and others have because of this incompetent hospital. Its inhumane!
I arrived at Loma Linda hospital to the ER with my brother at 2pm. My brother was suffering from pnueomonia at the time. We were seen by 3 different nurses and transferred to 4 different rooms in the 5 hours they kept us there. At the end of the 5 hours, a random nurse came into our room and said we were free to go. My brother said to the nurse, "but we haven't been seen by a doctor." The nurse said, "yes you have. That last nurse was actually a physicians assistant. Legally she is a doctor." I said, "may we please see a doctor to listen to his breathing?" The nurse said, "feel more than free to go back into the lobby and check in and wait 5 more hours to see a doctor. Because that's the only way you are seeing one today. The exit is that way. Have a good day." We then left without ever being checked by a doctor and only having one nurse listen to his lungs. We then drove 1 hour to LA to Cedar Cinsai's ER, were taken in and my brother was treated for pneumonia. Loma Linda is lucky I am not suing for patient neglect. I will never ever be returning to this hospital ever again.
They were more than perfect to me. Thank you very much. This is my first time to review in here, but they deserve it.
My son is being treated at Loma Linda. The quality of care is OUTSTANDING. Everyone has been so so caring and professional. They have explained step hy step from medication on. Thank You
My husband had triple bypass surgery yesterday and at this time no one has contacted me to let me know his condition even as the nurse gave me her word she would call me when he was out of surgery I plan on filing a complaint for the lack of professionalism she exhibited I was unable to call out on my phone so I was counting on her keeping her word what a mistake that was they want to b treated with respect for the hero’s they think they are well I got news for nurses u ain’t all that I will scream it from the rooftops Loma Linda hosp is not the best especially where the hiring of nurses is concerned unprofessional is an understatement
Super long wait times! Very understaffed , and need furniture that can accommodate pregnant mothers instead of chairs that are very uncomfortable and feel like you’re sitting in the economy class of an airplane.
Mad an amazing experience with the workers . Great service got in pretty fast and they were very thorough. I would most definitely recommend treated me good through the process of my surgery and also after with check ups
LLUMC Loves their Hospital- But they don't care much for emergency room patients. They make parking a hazardous confusing treck, it gets worse after hours. They don't treat the patients waiting to be seen very well. You can sit there for 5-10 hours if your not trauma level. I think they wish they didn't have an emergency room with sick people to deal with. Just an observations over the last few years of taking my kids and family members there. My advice if your sick- go at 5 am!!!
Awful experience! My mom had an endoscopy done here and was admitted to the hospital right after because they caused her pancreatitis. The incompetence of her medical staff was highly concerning. She was there for a week and literally only got worse. She was sent home far worse than when she was first admitted. A simple procedure that was clearly botched by an incompetent doctor left my mom suffering in pain, fluid in her lungs and fluid sacs in her liver. Do not have any procedures done here!!! Save yourself the stress and mortification of seeing your family member being neglected and mistreated.
The hospital is massive. The rooms are big on the eighth floor. No complimentary coffee. The staff are nice and polite.
Parking can be a little tricky but the staff and care given is absolutely awesome. My vascular surgeon has kept me apprised of every detail of my medical condition. She is wonderful.
My wife was in for a procedure in march and was in the icu for 4 days. Great care. If you went to the we and left before being treated and lived, then it WASN'T an emergency. Go to an urgent care next time.
Poor service. Social works are useless. Spent 3 days in hosptial waiting for wound care to see me. Heart doctor was great but only thing good
New and exciting things are happening Here.
This school STINKS. Many of the people who work here are religious hypocrites, preoccupied with tedious rules like eating vegetables, avoiding coffee, or living by backward social standards. But they ignore important rules like honesty and fairness. And if you don't conform to these meaningless standards you are likely to be ripped off!
Staff was overwhelmed rude and no compassion. Hours in very uncomfortable chair with phnemonia had me next to other patients. Very small ER very little privacy everyone know why the other person is there since staff clearly don't care to be discreet for clients results. Lady next to me bleeding due to UTI infection. Very unprofessional staff. They roll there eyes when you ask anything from them.
After a scare with an infection, I spent 47 days at the Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC). In total I endured 7 separate surgeries. I was moved to at least three different floors, but the Staff was wonderful. My last surgery was March 9, 2020. Thanks to all that cared for me.
This establishment is a literal joke. Let me start by saying the nurses (separate nurses) blew my veins 3 times (so far). The charge nurse refused to come and insert my IV. I came in for a potential Chrons Disease flare & the treating Dr. attempted to discharge me without taking a stool culture or bloodwork to test for various other problems such as infection, etc. I then woke up after 5 hours, severely dehydrated with no attention from my nurse , in severe pain As my nurse forgot to give me my scheduled meds! (what? How?) All of the nurses have an attitude and it’s an overall negative environment. You will have to fight for your own attention/ care here. The dr. & nurse took off before finishing my current medication list several times, Everyone seems very rushed here and forgets things. They must be understaffed. They forget to bring me several medications, which I have asked for multiple times. Consider choosing a different establishment. I want to leave 2 stars, but cannot think of a single reason for that second star. A legitimate 1 star review, Loma Linda is useless... all the patients seem to have the same things to say. In fact, I overheard a conversation of a Dr. asking this nice old man who was also a patient for his best life advice or best piece of wisdom. His exact words were “Find a different hospital to work for”. That explain things in itself and wrap things up here. As I said, consider finding a different establishment first.
I Love this Hospital and The Staff, I Love The Way The They All Treated Me.
Disorganized and everyone was eating at their desk. That’s so gross. Ambulance took her to Loma Linda and security guards at ER and even nurses had plates of food at the station. They couldn’t find the numbers to their case managers and kept asking us her history at every shift change. Again ICU nurses were eating at the station. They have all the feel good religious scriptures on the wall and that’s nice. We could all use positive words when we’re sick. But the place is disorganized and smells like a nursing home. So glad she got to go to her own hospital. KAISER!
The best I took my daughter right away they made more than 5 test and after that they give medicine
Just keep getting more bills after I already paid what they said was the out of pocket for the procedure. Will not go back ever again
I had great care, but unfortunately, after visiting my oncology physician, whose office is located in the hospital, I was billed for both a doctors visit and a hospital visit. This feels as though I was taken advantage of. I have several follow up appointments needed and this policy is limiting the care I can receive because I can not afford to pay for my appointments twice. I don't understand why I pay more because my physician has decided to reside her practice within the walls of the hospital. I will be looking for a different oncologist that doesn't take advantage of their patients.
My experience was bad from the beginning ,everything was about making sure I would pay and after it was established that I would pay they couldn't or wouldn't tell me how much so I left and was again referred to them for surgery as my condition was severe. Finally i get an appointment for a surgery evaluation and get the surgery 2 months later they gave me something for the pain. I had an infection in my glands in my neck and the student dismissed me and wouldn't give me anything to help so now my only recourse is to go to an emergency room for care as my infection is getting unbearable. Overall it's been a bad experience that they made worse
So grateful with the doctors and nurses best hospital thanks Tim,tina,Jessica Jesse and dr kim.????
Horrible atmosphere and care. My daughter came in for a Neurological condition, the staff kept trying to treat her as if she had the flu, made us sit with a room full of contagious people. My daughter who is sp needs had a meltdown and a nurse rolled her eyes and treated us poorly. They NEED to have different areas in the ER. Contagious, Non contagious, cardiac, Neurological etc and they need to have some Respect for the special needs Community!
Spent 12 hours in ER on 1/23/2020. There were so many people that they had chair set up outside that we had to sit on in. (If you’re going to make us sit outside set up heaters). They did offer blankets. I went to use the restroom four times, three different restrooms, and three of the times there were issues. No toilet paper, no seat covers, no paper towels. It seemed to be very dirty. The floors were horrible. After nine hours we were put into a room. We were in one room with two other patients with a little screen dividing us. No privacy when the doctor was talking to you. Well I understand this is a teaching hospital it seemed the doctors were not talking to one another. The doctor would leave and say they would go talk to another doctor in 45 minutes for pass. There seem to be a lot of employees standing around doing nothing.
My husband is fighting cancer. We have been in contact with literally 100's of Loma Linda employees. Everyone has treated us exceptionally well. They are all nice, they call back when they say they will. The mychart system is extremely helpful. I am so impressed with this hospital campus. The management team is doing a great job. Thanks to everyone who works for all of the departments.
The worst hospital ever. I brought my son to this hospital because he was having an allergic reactions. I waited 4 hours, and didn't get seen so I left to another hospital so my son could get seen. You would think they would be fast and over staffed because they opened up the new hospital separately from the adults. The worst hospital ever. San gorgonio tops Loma Linda hospital.
First off I want to say the doctors and nursers are absolutely amazing. They are the only reason I gave 3 stars. The problem is with the scheduling and billing department. They moved my daughters appointment twice so it would not be too late in the day since she is 2 years old. However they then gave us an appointment for late in the day or wait another month. The next problem is the billing department. They keep sending the same bill that was paid months ago. When I call them they say I sent my payment to the wrong address. However I have proof I sent it to the address on the bill. They transferred me three times with each new person saying it was not their problem. I only received help when I told them I would not be sending a new check and they will need to figure it out. Every person I spoke to on the phone was rude and inconsiderate. The sad thing is this issue will probably continue since this hospital has a lock on the market for child hospitals in the area.
Kudos to my wife's RN Rose and her assistant Michelle for thoroughly bathing and cleaning her for almost an hour as soon as she was temporarily admitted at the ICU concerning her trach/neck bleeding. I sincerely appreciate you guys. Although it's part of their job, their dedication to duty is commendable. Thank you.
Always quick wife never waits cancer center is amazing very nice people.
I give the one star to your switchboard operator "Letty" who is in a hurry and don't allow you to finish a sentence so she can send you to the correct person to speak too. You should replace her for someone that wants to do her job and listen before transferring people to the wrong person. I understand theirs many calls to answer but an operator have to listen. I know because I was a switchboard operator. Shame on Letty.
Their cancer treatment facility is extremely slow. Takes you a couple of weeks for the doctor to be available. 4+ weeks to get an ultrasound done for the FIRST ultrasound. Another 4+ weeks for the ultrasound biopsy. By the time you get to your surgery, you're probably progressing to another stage in cancer all caused by the treatment facility. Complained to the so called "patient advisory board" is like wasting your time sending your complaint to thin air. I would say if you want to live, avoid this hospital at all costs.
Koppel Special Care Dentistry is a sad joke. This place makes no sense why would you give a child a 10am appt to still have us sitting in the waiting room 4 hrs later mind you she has not eaten anything since 7pm the night before. And the 2 ladies at the front desk are beyond rude and I'm sure there has been more than 1 complaint about them just no action taken .
I cannot believe how long you have to wait here in the ER just to receive a room. It takes up to 8 hours to get a room in the ER. This is ridiculous, they told my Father that they had the results about 2 hours ago and he has been waiting in the room for an hour now. Wish my dad went to his hospital and everything but he was working in this area.
My grandmother was invovled in a traffic collision where a semi truck tboned her where she was taken to this disgusting "hospital" arpund 2pm on August 15th 2020. It is now at the time of writing it is 12:59am August 16th 2020. I have asked for an update on her condition once and was told by security to "stop harassing the staff" in ten hours ive asked about my grandmother who is in her eighties one time. I have been waiting in the parking structure ever since she arrived here aside from asking for an update. I want to see the footage and have the director of this "hospital" along with the head of the security department and have them show me where and how I allegedly "harassed" the staff.
If your are coming here as a visitor, new employee, or even paient without a catheter theres not many large restrooms all are mainly 1 person and fewer then normal
Good hospital. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE food. And I'm not just saying that because it's vegetarian. Vegetarian food should still taste good. They just cut out meat and did no effort to find good recipes.
I was hit by a semi truck going 60mph. The nurses and doctors were amazing!! They took great care of me and the nurses really fought for me to have a good discharge pain regimen.
I was here for a couple of days after a car accident. The staff was very helpful and they answered all my questions. No compliant on my side.
My babies almost died due to maternal fetal medicine, neglecting my wife while she was a patient. From 13 weeks to 28 weeks of her pregnancy they did only 1 ultrasound, even though my wife had gestational diabetes, a cervical cerclate and preeclampsia....with a twin pregnancy. It wasn't until my wife checked into l&d that they actually then tried to do something. They completely neglected my wife while she was pregnant with twins as a patient with maternal fetal medicine. Department 3400.
If I was able to give negative stars I would.. The care here at least on the 9th floor in unit 9200 is horrible.. I took care of my mother, helped her to the restroom wiped her changed the sheets ext. I would only call so they could measure her out put and even like that got attitude... Makes no sense!!! PCA Silvia with red hair and RN Arlyn were the only two that were very helpful and did an amazing job... Even house keeping was horrible the room was always dirty..
The staff and doctors at Loma Linda gave my grandfather excellent care through out his stay. They made him comfortable and us feel at ease.
Loma Linda Medical Center is AWESOME! The staff was great and were very caring! My husband is back and Dr. Mandapoti kept us informed every step of the way. It was one of the best experiences of our life! Extremely happy!
One of The most professional hospitals i've ever been in the staff was great the people courteous. Great hospital
I would not go to Loma Linda hospital if I were dying!! Worst Hospital ever and it is not even voted on the best 10 hospitals in California as of August 2017 until present it ranks number 40 something.... I meant prefer UCLA which is number 2 best hospital in California..
I went to the ER for the first time on Wednesday 10/18/17 I was there 15 hours 12pm-3am. Nurse said it's normal to wait that long, said usually wait time is 24 hours. If they know they take that long they should have more doctors then. Won't be going there again!
Wish I could leave no stars , this place is a JOKE. What RN asks “how do you take the pain away” after 7 hours of waiting and 5 vital readings . Still haven’t seen the actual doctor after 7 hours. Don’t come here , they put you room to room don’t actually tell you what’s going on and if you’re in pain you better learn to take it because you’ll be waiting and waiting just for them to come back and ask you for the 5th time where it hurts and what level of pain your at . Seriously worst experience at a hospital . I could go on but honestly I’m tired and screw this place. Don’t come here ????
Came to ER 10:30 am it is now 8:45 pm and still haven’t been admitted just waiting outside in a makeshift tent in somewhat cold usually a good place don’t know what happened today Just had to vent But I think 10 hrs unacceptable
Hello all, I had a problem with my stomach very serious problem. Came over in an ambulance and I am waiting for 6h in the waiting room the no express waiting room. That is only for white privileged. Ok I still waiting and no one check up on you or check your Vidal’s just one time. Then they give you a bed for 15m in the milder of the room. Ok now when they charge the insurance they charge you like you was in that room for 6h when you wasn’t. See your insurance bill....... good luck I will never come over ever again.......
I was there for a rather difficult abdominal aneurysm surgery. My surgeon was Dr. Abu-Zamzam,MD I have complete confidence in him and this hospital facility I saw nothing but professionalism. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Ok everyone I know that this pandemic has token a tole on everyone but honestly we’re in this together... My brother is here at Loma linda getting treated and as his nurses We’re doing a shift change they were making hateful remarks to one one another there names are Cynthia Tawney and Maggie I mean they took the job to help people not laugh and make fun of someone in need of there help...
My experience was the best. Great doctor's, the best medical care I have ever had at a hospital.God has true My blessed this hospital.
I want to Thank all the Dr's and Nurses at Loma Linda Hospital Especially in 8100 Critical Care Unit! They saved my Husband's Life! I also want 2 Thank John Cline the Social Worker for Unit 8100! He helpt get me thru one of the most difficult times in my life! He answered all my questions and Put me in direct contact with my Husband's Dr's! Thank You for all your support!
THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED AT AN ER. Seriously go here!!!. They will HELP you.!!! My boyfriend and I had gone to Kaiser initially. We had been waiting 2 hours even though I’d been severely dehydrated, couldn’t stand on my own, had ringing in my ears, and would not stop vomiting. They told us it would be another 10 HOURS before we would even have an opportunity to be seen. LOMA LINDA TOOK US IN INSTANTLY. Service still took some time but they Reassured us consistently, treated us with immense kindness and the utmost respect and integrity/ genuine hearts by EVERY STAFF MEMBER LITERALLY EVERY STAFF MEMBER and made sure we were okay. Will be coming back here. FURTHER MORE THEY GO OUT OF THERE WAY TO HELP THOSE WITH FINANCIAL ISSUES. Look into their services dental etc. THIS HOSPITAL NEEDS ALL THE RECOGNITION IT CAN GET. God truly is present among this hospital and it truly shows.
I was there for a gun shot wound to my face the nurses in the intensive care unit were the best and sweetest. I was there for 30 days and they all were great.
Shame on you Loma Linda you are suppose to make everyone whole. Sad no doctors there can help or figure out my daughters case . Burr thank God USC WILL TRY TO HELP HER
It makes sense everything so much better when staff is kind they're always so nice.
Wanted to thank Amber in Unit 8200 she's amazing great customer service and personality they should have more staff like her working. When needing her assistance she was fast to get it done. Erik with the tattoo in his upper arm Jeannette and June also provided great customer service they are an amazing team that love doing what they do made us feel welcomed and helped my husband with all his needs. You guys rock???? and thank you very much for your assistance ❤
Very caring hospital with a fantastic staff. Would have been 5 stars but there are a few issues they need to address. The hospital needs a makeover, badly. Parking is awful, ER wait can be ridiculously long.
Loma Linda is by the far the best hospital. All the nurses were extremely sweet helpful , was their for my every needs. The doctors was so informing and nice. I will not go anywhere else except here when I need medical assistance. I felt so much each time I left they cared and was very heart warming each one of them , never have I had a bad experience! I highly recommend this hospital
Came to ER Jan 10, 2020 for my hubby being extremely ill. I've been here many times and my hubby had a liver transplant which saved his life. I waited in line about 10 mins to check in. They were probably a hundred plus people here, but they screened my hubby right away, within 5-7 minutes and they put him in ER right away. Very happy with the service and he is getting good care. Thank you so much and God bless you ????
Some staff are nice including PA/NP's but overall everyone from attending MDs, clinical staff and lab workers are so rude! I am not sure what training or focus goes into their customer service but they clearly lack it. I called the lab to see if my testing was submitted for analysis and I got a smart alec attitude which I did not need when I am nervously awaiting my results. Very condescending and not ok! This is not how you treat patients even if your having a bad day. Very disappointed.
I just got discharged a few days ago after being admitted at this hospital for a month for a high risk pregnancy. It was my first pregnancy and it was absolutely terrifying being diagnosed with preeclamsia, but I am so happy that I decided to come to this hospital. I felt that the staff and doctors truly cared about my baby and my well being. I wish I could remember specific names, but there were so many nurses who helped me and every single one of them were amazing and very on top of treating my high blood pressure. Everyone in the maternity unit and post partum unit were beyond amazing. I am truly grateful for every staff member, down to their nutritional staff. Everyone made my experience pleasant and I’m so grateful for them delivering my 28 week old baby safely. He is currently in the NICU and I am so grateful for the NICU staff. It was the hardest experience having to go home without my son but his nurses are so caring, sweet, on top of my sons care and constantly assuring me that they’ll take good care of him when I can’t be there. It’s a scary experience having your baby in the NICU but seeing how quickly everyone responds when a baby needs help is very reassuring . I just want to say this is the best hospital to come to if you are pregnant or dealing with a high risk pregnancy . You will be treated kindly and they will do everything to help you have a successful pregnancy. Thank you again to all of the amazing nurses, high risk doctors and staff.
We transferred from St B’s cause are Lil one needs surgery when she’s born & labor & delivery is horrible..We have the worst nurse ever..They don’t listen what so ever.. If it wasn’t for the children’s hospital i would have already went back to St B’s.. Never again!!
Had to stay 3 days with daughter while she got eeg testing done wich was fine but why can't there be regular food for parents like me I was expected to stay up and watch her but no caffeine and no real food worst food of any hospital i ever had to stay at
Waited hours to be moved from a chair outside to a waiting room with 2 other patients then taken to a chair out in the hallway to "wait" for my test results. The doctor later comes out to tell me I can go home and view my results online instead of waiting at the hospital. I wake up the next day to find that the results have not been posted so, after I call the ER to see what's going on I'm told that the "doctor" cancelled my lab tests. NEVER coming to this "hospital" again. TERRIBLE EXPIRIENCE!!!!
I want to thank the nursing and medical staff of Loma Linda Medical Center for the kind, thorough, and excellent care provided to my sister in law, Carol Parlapiano, who was a patient in the hospital this July. As a registered nurse, now retired, I'm familiar with the challenges of providing care to patients and their families. I could not have asked for more for Carol. Sincerely, Lorraine Sanchez Santa Monica, CA
Loma linda is such a good hospital my daughter was just there and they have the best nurses on the 8th floor suite 8300 and i just want to say thank you for all your help
I went from hospital to hospital begging for help and was told, "You are just one of those patients who have bladder infections." Finally, the night came whee I was so septic I could't walk unassisted, had a 101 fever and could feel myself starting to die. LLUMC was the one and only place that accepted my transfer. Instead of excuses they took me to surgery and found a kidney abscess! These wonderful people saved my life! My sincere thanks to the Urology dept!!!!
We just have our new born here at Loma Linda University care and the best doctor and nurse and whole staff.
Everyone is so nice and gentle I have to drive an hour to get her and it’s so worth it I have fun I’ve already made almost everyone who works there my friend
I have to say I have been going there for over 3 years and the doctor, nurses, techs and all other staff have done a amazing job. They have saved my life more than once. Even through this pandemic the staff has the ER under control and going a great job.. O would like to thank the staff there for doing such a great job.
My daughter has a heart condition so we come here twice a week and they make it very comfortable for her. Everyone has a great attitude, very hardworking. Dr. Gordon, her surgeon, is the best couldn’t ask for anyone better family favorite.
I have spent time in the ER and my sister has delivered her baby at this hospital. They did well in both departments, but I am absolutely appalled at how they treated my father. My father is a 66 year old man who has been suffering from extreme skin problems for over 2 years now! The itching of these bumbs on his skin were so intense he almost never slept. He did everything he could think of at home to help. Nothing worked. He went to the doctors (which he rarely does) to see if they could help. They took blood tests and did a biopsy. The results they came out with was contact dermititis (a very common condition). They gave him very low dosage topical antibiotic cream and sent him on his way. He then lost his insurance coverage and was unable to go back. He used the cream and took the antihistamine pills. It did absolutely nothing! A year later he is still dealing with intense itching and lack of sleep. He went back again after he got insurance coverage and said that it didn't work and that he was in extreme discomfort. They did the exact same thing they did the first time and ignored what he had to say. Now hes feeling discouraged and depressed. I decided to do a little research and within about 30 mins I found a skin condition called prurigo. It matches up with my fathers condition exactly and is a rare condition. It can last for years without proper treatment from a doctor. It is a difficult condition to help, but the fact that they wouldn't even try to see if it could be anything else and if they could do anything to help him is awful. They left him untreated, not able to sleep and in major discomfort for 2 years because they wanted to be lazy! I honestly thought more of this hospital before they decided to disregard anything my 66 year old father was going through.
Took my 4 month old son here, we waited THREE hours for him to be seen. The place was so dirty, no where to sit either. Some of the staff were SO rude. The bathrooms were taken up and my son had already been sitting in his poop for 10 minutes so I laid a blanket down and changed him on the chair where we were waiting, a nurse then comes over and starts raising her voice and having an attitude asking me “am I seriously changing my son right here” I told her yes actually I am because no one wants to sit in there own poop. The doctor that seen me was obviously a stude doctor and clearly was in a rush making it seem like we were going home, then another doctor tells us they are going to test him for RSV and do a breathing treatment. We wait 3 hours in a room full of people to move us to a chair in a hallway. They also told me they were completely out of baby masks.
I love this hospital! My children have been patients of the neurology department for 14+ years. As well as 3 other specialists. I would recommend them to anyone!
It used to be a great hospital, unfortunately the “good” staff is still off work. I would not recommend having major surgery there, until staff is improved.
I'm very thankful for this first class facility. They don't treat you like a number and offer you great service.
Never have I experienced such compassion at a hospital. My father lost his long battle with cancer and his body was shutting down. Dr. Jafrey and the nursing staff really rose above and beyond in making sure my dad passed peacefully and were so loving with our whole family. I am so blessed to have met you all. Thank-you from the bottom of my heart.
I have really bad experience today I came since yesterday I have not been told what exactly my son has Ct scan it's taking for ever my kid is crying over he stomach hurts because he drank too much water to do this CT and plus last night our nurse in the ER her name was Angelica I explained her about my sons veins are bad to get his blood out ...But she said she knows we're to pock and 15 minutes later she said your iv it's mess up ...it was bad cause she didn't do it right I being here many times that didn't happen before She slammed the door too because she want it to do it again but of course I wasn't going to let her To hurt my son again
Horrible ER times! Nurses don’t care you literally have to be dying for them to do anything. Some nurses have attitude. Waited to be seen for 9 hours.
I love this place. Food not so much. But it could be worse. Most people here are great and helpful.
