You will see the opinions of people like you who purchased the services of Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre (Ophthalmologist) in Elliot Lake (Canada).
Nowadays this firm gets a rating of 3.5 over 5 and the rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average score it has is really positive, and it is based on a very large number of reviews, so we may think that the assessment is quite reliable. If people have bothered to rate when they are satisfied with the service, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to put scores when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Ophthalmologist is classified in the category of Surgical center.
The care that I received from this hospital was amazing. Our family is most grateful to be at this hospital. The whole medical staff has been most accommodating and attentive.
Phone system and IT infrastructure is atrocious. 4/5 calls get directed to the wrong department if you talk to the operator. Thankfully, their voice recognition is working better now, and you can just talk your way to where you need to be. Unfortunately, while the phone system routes me correctly, I've never had someone pick up the phone, or return my calls when I leave a message. I've also had multiple issues with scheduling. They forget to call me to notify me of an appointment that's been made, or they notify me but when I show up, they forgot to book my appointment so I just wasted a trip and plugged their insanely expensive parking meters for several hours ($30). On the medical side however, their facilities are generally well equipped and clean, and the medical staff are fairly knowledgeable (compared to other labs I've been to).
OMG no staff on the weekend and place is full of people. Wellcome to third world of cair and we paid for this WOW. This system is really broken .
I have had multiple medical reasons that i needed to go to Jim Pattison for. For blood tests. Staff were awesome. I also have had a ultrasound for my heart. Again very nice staff, I also needed to have to go to the medical daycare for IV therapy. In the medical daycare they have chairs that lay back, TV's hanging above you. Each chair and their own TV. I found the nurses there to be really good at what they do. Candy was my favorite nurse! If i ever need to go back, i would.
Very organized. Staff is caring.
Pain Management Care Clinic reception extremely poor. I dropped off forms yesterday. Receptionist was sprawled back in her chair staring into space and when I greeted her just reach out her arm, making me lean forward and stretch over the counter. Pain clinic - means I'm in pain. She muttered something and I told her I couldn't hear her. she said it again, and I told her I still couldn't hear her. I told her I was hard of hearing and she would need to speak louder. She spoke louder, but heavily laced with sarcasm and with a sneer on her face so I called her on it and told her that she needed to be more courteous to people. I will have appointments there and I won't put up with that nonsense; I won't mind discussing her with hospital administration at all. People need to stand up for themselves and not allow others to get away with demeaning behaviour.
I have worked here, and I've been a patient here. I've brought my kids for multiple appointments. The facility is run well, generally runs on time, and you'll get top notch service. Excellent care.
The absolute WORST service ever! Trying to get through to anyone in this hospital is like pulling teeth! I called FIVE times today to get through to medical imaging where NO ONE seems to be around! The fact that this hospital is connected to women's breast health clinic is a total disgrace and a huge concern for us as women!
I have gone here twice now for testing in the past week. I went on the weekend because they are open which is really nice! Parking cost is outrageous! If you park underground ( At least on the weekends) It is 5.50 for the day, instead of outside for 4.50 a hour. The first time my sister was also with me for her testing. The ladies doing blood had no idea what they were doing. My sister got poked 4 times and she could not get blood from my sister. After the 4th time she ended up getting my Mom to do it who is a phlebotomist too. When it was my turn again she could not get any blood and proceed to "dig" the need around in my arm until I started to become dizzy. I went again yesterday for more testing. The one woman was so rude. She played on her phone half the time at the desk. She proceeded to go to the back and I could hear her talking about me and making fun of my Grandmother and I and mocking us. Not very professional.. The gentleman doing my blood was great though!
Never have I met a more incompetent group of dietitians. When dealing with gestational diabetes, the dietitians were clueless, when you asked questions they had no idea how to answer. I ended up getting all the answers from my family doctor. I have no idea why this department for maternity is even around.
All staff are friendly and helpful
My daughter had an appointment for a follow up at the wound care at the third floor on October 23, 2019 at 6:30. We were seen by a nurse by the name ALEX. ALEX provided us with an excellent care (She changed my daughter wound dressing. She was professional, caring, took the time to explain the medical condition and what to expect. She provided us with thorough and helpful information on how to care for my daughter wound. The attention she provided was much needed after we have been bounced around from clinic to clinic for my daughter follow up! I am giving five star to ALEX and not to our frustrating health care system. ALEX helped ease some of the frustration we were experiencing with the system. She came across as knowledgeable, professional, yet very friendly, caring, and patient with all our questions. Thank you ALEX!!!
State of the art building with great staff.
Very professional, friendly staff. Extremely clean facilities
Infectious disease clinic: No one calls, no one answers the phone, no one calls back. I've left 4 msgs. Isnt this a serious situation to have travel illness? I have been left on my own and no one cares. 0 stars.
Impossible to get ahold of. I've left almost 10 voicemails in the past 6 months with absolutely no call back. What does someone have to do to get proper medical attention!?
Very nice Staff at the mdc from the unit clerks to the nurses..
Amazing staff & care. Courteous & professional! Great facility except for the pay parking.
I was booked for an appointment at 8:15am on a Saturday. I come at 8 and ask the main reception where to go and she goes “oh well you have to wait because the elevators don’t run til 8:30am there’s no one where you’re supposed to go.” Which wasn’t true because I walked to the first floor only to watch someone come up in the elevator... also I have paid for parking for an hour because the girl told me I’d be here for that long. So I’ve wasted my time coming here this early and money paying for parking because the girl that gave me my 8:15am appointment, failed to give me a proper appointment time, because they don’t even open til 8:30. I would not recommend coming here, and would ask to be referred elsewhere.
I go and see my doctor there for internal medicine.. Friendly staff ...
Could do nothing to help my pain conditions. Found all the chronic pain clinic staff to be rude, judgmental, and generally inadequate at their jobs. Was discharged pretty quickly with no follows ups. Do not recommend.
Accessible
(Translated) Thank you for the friendly staff Parking is free now! (Original) 친절한직원 에감사 지금은 파킹이 프리네요!
Wonderful RN @ surgical daycare, Julie. Made the hours we spent here fly by. She’s super friendly and made my dad feel less nervous about his procedure.
From the 4A desk itself ,the staff were very co-operative. All staff nurses were helpful and dedicated. Experience with Dr. Mori was excellent
I have never been more enraged. When I went there I was looking for prenatal care. I got the run around from one nurse to another- not once seeing a real doctor. When I was weighed they called me overweight and said my baby bump was just fat. Then they tried to put me on a diet so that i would only gain .04lb/weeks for the rest of my pregnancy. Everyone I spoke to about their advice and my treatment was disgusted. When I was unable to attend my ultrasound due to lack of transportation and finances they left an angry voice message. I have seen too many disturbing things here in my 3 or 4 visits. I'm not going back.
I have been treated extremely well in the neurological dept for 8 years now for a chronic and life altering disease. I am very well treated and cared for in a very professional way. The entire facility is an tremendous asset to the community. The staff and doctors that have taken care of me have been understanding and compassionette. Thank you for those who have provided this resource.
The phone is picked very fast by the reception but when the phone is transferred to 2D or 3C, no one picks up the phone. After putting voicemail they don't even bother to call back. Very poor service for the appointment booking.
Took excellent care of my mother, highly supportive staff
A first rate facility, well organized flow and setup. The staff are first rate, patient and polite. An excellent place for outpatient services with most fields within. Doctors are well placed and my experiences with everyone there has been very helpful!
Dr. Yeung is always late I’ve had parking tickets because of him. His excuse is always there was an accident on the Alex Fraser or that he just had to deliver a baby. I find that to be very disrespectful it is a waste of patients time who have other responsibilities as well. If he is over booking him self he really needs to learn how to mange his schedule better so he doesn’t waste patients time.
Good service thank you
Due to poor health I have been going almost everyday for 2 weeks to 2 different clinics located at Jim P. clinic, and I di not look forward to it due to negative experiences in the past. Howver I was in for a pleasent suprise in BOTH clinics the staff was helpfull, kind and they really went the extra mile for me. Thank you
I hated why I was there - but the nurses and doctors are amazing.
Best care, really attentive. Looked after all my needs & anxiety pre op. Post op went better than expected. Easy peasy.
what a great facility, one stop medical...parking too expensive like all hospitals! can be busy
Fast and efficient care at the blood clinic. The ladies were so kind, pleasant and accommodating! They are open Saturday’s for bloodwork with appointment
parking
From check-in to being released, staff were very helpful and friendly. Things went relatively quickly. I checked in at 8am and was released to go home by 1:30. I never once felt neglected or forgotten about. Each nurse and doctor was very thorough and explained each step in detail making me feel at ease and comfortable for my first surgery. Thank you
The operator was the most rude condescending disgusting woman I have ever encountered. I simply called and asked can you confirm what my appointment is for this week, and she started literally yelling and swearing at me that it wasnt "me" who called you (which I didnt say it was, nor I had any complaints about the very nice lady who had called to book me) ... she continued I cant pull up files by your stories (!) you have to start by giving me your care card instead of all this blab! (and no pause to give me room to respond at all)...And she hung up before I could say a word. Disgusting manners dealing with patients of potentially life concerning situation. I couldn't get her name (cause she hung up) I wish I did to report her. Outright disgusting. Time of call 12:58PM Oct 19, 2020.
Renovation on 2nd. Floor.
5 Stars is not enough! We are so grateful to all the staff and Dr. Thamboo at JP's OCSC for my husband's (D. Rose) endoscopic endonasal surgery /image-guided surgery. I couldn't believe the difference when I saw my husband in recovery, it was truly amazing. Thank you all so much. Your patient care is outstanding.
The refusal of nutrition to patients after day surgery is problematic.
Had appointments with Dr. Mian, hand surgeon. Nice staff, well equipped, busy though.
Since Day 1 of my referrals to report to Jim Pattison Out Patient Care and Surgery Centre regarding any medical issues or procedures that needs to be attended to, I never encountered any hardship or did anyone from the staff from parking area to Lobby Reception, from the Check In receptionist to the welcoming wardrobe attendant, Nursing Staff, On Call Physicians or Medical Interns gave me a hard time. I guess if we will just be a bit humane and civilized in dealing with Medical or Service Staff (a smile here, a greeting there), the same will be provided in terms of attention and care. The Golden Rule doesn't apply only to people who needs them... ordinary Drop ins or special situations such as a Medical Emergency will be fully attended and serviced as long as we treat everybody the way we want them to treat us. In pain and suffering? Cry and complain if you must - just don't howl, don't be rude, and best of all control your rage and anger. We are there because we need their attention, service, and care... not their bad treatment of our need just because of our complaint and rudeness. - December 23, 2014 / Lito Tolentino / MC&HNY to all !
Pain management clinic. Very Disorganized. No one gives instructions on what you are expected to do to prepare for procedures. Didn't tell me I wasn't supposed to drive or my car insurance would be void, until I arrived. Usually someone calls the day before with instructions....nothing. Follow-up - I received a piece of paper with a new appointment. When I got home I read it and it said telephone. I assume this means someone will call me? Again no one bothered to explain anything. If you are having back issues get a referral somewhere else.
Hate having to pay for parking but the facility is great and the staff are usually helpful
So long you are on time you won't be rushed.
Staff are efficient and helpful
Great services. Distinct experience Easy instructions.
I’m disappointed about having to call in regarding my appointment for the pregnancy and diabetes clinic and rescheduling for tomorrow as I am pregnant and super ill and unable to make it. The person I spoke with on the phone was quite frankly rude when I said I would like an appointment for a Monday cuz that is my usual day off, coming back with well your appointment isn’t on a Monday and me staying I would have to look at my schedule and still being pushy. Quite frankly why the hell would I want treatment at a place where someone who is suppose to have some form of understanding just on an appointment act like that, I wasn’t being rude I was just trying to reschedule. I’m Beyond upset.
Upon coming to this centre for a CT Scan, I experienced a very uncomfortable service especially coming as a patient. Tony, a Caucasian volunteer on the second floor was not only rude but very mean and made rude comments and reactions to the fact that I was 15 minutes late due to surreys well known traffic and construction. Not only did he express loudly that I was late for my appointment, the staff at the counter also gave a “UGH” reaction that I was late. Not that I minded the extra wait but it was completely rude for them to be expressing this type of behaviour to patients especially in a hospital setting like this. As I was seated outside waiting as well, I would be able to hear them make rude comments to one another and not being respectful at all.
Patient, nice and professional staffs.
They take care of you
If you miss the call from the neurology department and call back, you get "she's filing", "she's on her break", "she's unavailable right now". It got so bad that I asked to speak to a supervisor and got a voicemail telling me that the supervisor was away on vacation and not returning for ten days so don't leave a message! I finally saw a neurologist and was promised a call back within a few days on how to proceed based on test results. It's been two weeks and no call yet. Could it be that I complained so I'm being punished? This place is staffed with divas that treat themselves as the priority instead of patients as the priority. Neurology could be a life or death situation so playing games is unacceptable. Utterly self absorbed, immature, and poorly supervised staff and a perfect example of why our healthcare system needs an overhaul.
To: Nurses, Doctors and all healthcare workers of Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Center You are saving lives. You help the most vulnerable people. You are true friend of the people. You are Angels. I arrived in the Surgery Center at 9:30 am on June 1, 2021. My surgery was scheduled for 11:30 am. I saw and heard the conversation of nurses with the patients. They were very kind and highly professional. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all what you have done for me. May God bless and help you and your families. Very Respectfully Abdul Karim Safi
The imaging department here is absolutely rude and unprofessional. I have gone here two times to have ultrasounds and x-rays done for mys of and my daughter both times I was not able to get done what had gone there for because the staff are unable to handle cases that may be a little difficult. They are lazy and unwilling to reorganize themselves to accomodate younger clients. So if you have kids please don't expect to be greeted politely or have your work done.
Geez, phone receptionist of the MRI unit has no patience and is condescending. I had one simple question.
If you make an appointment here make sure to clarify if that means you will be attended to at the time of your appointment. I was here for a 7:30 appointment and by 7:47 they had yet to check me in. The unit clerk at 2C gave me and two other patients a number, I was number 3. She checked in the first two patients but not me. I don't think they understand that people have jobs, and other places to be. I can't make plans for a 7:30 appointment and not even have been acknowledged for nearly 20 minutes, and only because I approached her! I ended up leaving because my husband had to go to work and he was with the kids. Just wasted money on gas and parking plus woke my kids and messed up our daily routine for no good reason. Just won't bother making any medical appointments from now on. On a side note, they should turn these parking lots into pay when you leave lots. With how long they make you wait for your "scheaduled appointment" this pay before method is absurd. I honestly can't estimate how much time I need for parking. And why is it so expensive?
I am absolutely blown away by the staff here, they were very kind and reassuring. I was freaking out because I was nervous and they calmed me down. They were attentive to my needs, held my hand while I was getting a needle. My first major surgery and it was a very positive expirience. Thankyou so much staff, you were amazing. The nurse who attended to me at first, I believe her name was dev? Was so kind and answered all of my questions she really helped calm me down.
This is the best hospital I have ever been to. The staff were spot on time amd everyone did best performance ever . I just loved loved lov3d my experience there. I can't thank everyone at this hospital enough. I feel so blessed to have done my surgery there. Thank everyone very very much .
The vibe is positive, the service is fast and efficient and I got what I went there for, no fuss at all :-) The staff members at the second floor have a ready smile to greet and ever helpful to assist you. The location is pedestrian and transit-friendly, it has a small Shoppers and Blendz at the ground floor so you can have your caffeine before your appointment.
Excellent facility with excellent staff! Been here many times over the past 4 years. I recommend either here, or Surrey Memorial for MRI or other diagnostic testing. Large machine & bright, spacious room.
Awesome system. You go In, they explain everything along the way. Very transparent. The parking should be less. Atleast for those who go in for surgery.
Dr. Jennifer Prince did a awesome job! My finger had got slammed into a door and I got stitched up and was told to come here for check ups, did a great job every time. Took her time to make sure everything was good even though it was really busy!
Very organized. Fast. Friendly staff
Staff were great it's a very nice facility. Parking is outrageous. That's the biggest drawback. There's no option for 30 mins to add time. $4.25 an hr is a bit much I think especially if you're going twice in 2 weeks. Treadmill in cardiology is unserviceable. Therefore you have to wait. For a heart stress test you're paying for 2 hrs because you're waiting an hr before it's your turn. After it's all said and done its 7.75. I think something should be done to about parking. Otherwise Thanks Mr Pattison.
My wife had appointment for her ultrasound at 11am which was confirmed through a phone call message by this unit department! when we reached there reception told us it is scheduled at 11:30 am which surprised to us! Later we have been there till 12pm and still waiting but not turn! We specially got our kids off from school to share baby moves and pics in ultrasound! Very frustrating????????
Overall the services and cleanliness in this hospital was very good. Unfortunately some workers give this place a bad reviews. 11-15-2020 I had my MRI test today morning. The (lady) receptionist working at ground floor and 2nd floor didn’t know how to welcome there patient nicely. However the young lady (greeter) at 2nd floor and (lady looks like Chinese) worker at MRI room was very nice and friendly. And they gives me good experience on my MRI appointment and coming on this place. ????????
My wife was very COLD the entire MRI. Previous MRIs she was.given a light blanket to keep warm.over her lower half. (The MRI is on her head and neck) This tech said the room needs to stay cool for the machine. Fair enough. BUT...people.need to be comfortable during a stressful noisy hour or more test. Not impressed
Friendly compassionate and professional staff. Helped make an otherwise stressful procedure go easier.
State of the art Medical center in BC! It's very inviting and there is even a Shoppers Drug Mart located inside of the building. Not a big one but smaller size for the most basic stuff. Staff is friendly and help guide you throughout.
Best to go on Sunday...super quiet and easy parking.
I have been there for multiple appointments and they all been pretty good expect for my last appointment.I had to get my third ultrasound at age 14 and as usual I was very nervous and emotional , the person who was doing it for me was just started so I probably was her first real live patient and I was already in pain but her pressings much harder then you should didn't help and for the last 30 mins she got a different worker to end off my appointment for the last 30 mins.Overall it was good expect for how much pain I was in after.
This building has 62 services and/or clinics. The 4th floor is the day surgery floor with the plastic surgery suite. Very professionally run with 6 different support staff behind the closed doors in attendance. Everything ran smoothly. This building is not a hospital. The staff everywhere, were pleasant and the Coast Capital Savings Educational Centre had information in several languages. Many different professionals and volunteers working here. Thanks .....
Fast and well occupied
I have always had great service as well the staff has been comforting when I needed it. Thank you for your centre
If I could give no stars and still give a review I would. Horrible staff, no communication, they may give you the wrong dosages for your medication, they are heartless and the specialist will quit on you if your medical case gets too hard. They don’t care that you run out crying. They watch you walk away crying without blinking an eye. The receptionists are disorganized. They don’t offer help when you’re talking about hurting yourself while crying either.
Fantastic & very friendly Security Person & kind Nurses ????
Helping and Supporting STAFF, GOOD Management, Proper care, communication and visible signs for all different testing rooms.
Was seeing the NP for two years, but they won't prescribe certain medications, so your expected to see the GP , who is only available on Wed. afternoons. Out of no where, I got a phone call saying they are *dropping* me as a client as I've also been going to a walk in clinic for some refills and little things. I was seeing a whole team at JP, and now I don't have access to ANYONE!!! If the NP doesn't want to see me, fine, but the whole team ????
I have been attending the pain clinic for the past 6 years for my back and neck pain. The staff is amazing. Very professional and always courteous in all aspects. I have to highlight Doctor David Twist and NP Ruth Ringland who are the best. Always caring and very willing to listen to any possible changes in my pain management, and willing to assist where possible. Thanks to all the staff that I encounter on my visits over the years.
You go in check and check yourself at the desk, they will then call your name. X-rays and Doctor consultation was quick and attentive. Was out and about in an hour, very fast and convenient healthcare services by extraordinary people. Once again thank you Dr. Mathew and team, keep up the good work guys!!
very bad service...receptionist are the worst....no customer skills....seeems like there computers are running behind or they dont bother updating them on time
We found the receptionist to be very friendly and pleasant to deal with, not to mention helpful. Thanks Jim Patterson center.
What a hospital? Went to the hospital to get my ESWL procedure. Got a call from the hospital that surgery has been preponed by 3 hrs. Went to the nurses station to get the paperwork done. After that waited for about 40 minutes, then this lady comes to me and says we have to cancel the surgery as the machine broke down. It was surprising to me that the hospital has only one machine for this procedure. I am sure that I am the only one who had such woeful experience. As common people I know we can't do nothing. And we call it a developed country where hospital don't have much needed equipment.
They found what was wrong.... Inside of my right leg ????.... and more, and are fixing ALL OF WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME.... THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE ORDEAL, THEY'VE BEEN AND ARE STILL BEING.... AMAZING AND AWESOME TO ME AND FOR ME, NOT LETTING ANY PART OF ME.... DIE ✝????✝☮✝????✝
Everything is in one place
My first time visit this hospital. It's a very clean and quiet hospital. Plenty outdoor parking lots in front of the main building. No paying for parking tickets because of Covid-19. I received a brand new mask at the entrance and a clear direction after telling front desk staff what's my appointment! Had very nice experience!
I have a colon screening program at the centre, Mr.Atkinson is very attentive and kind. His witty conversation calmed my nervous feeling. I would like to thank him and all the staff attending in the department. The nurses are gentle and patient to the patients.
Waits of 45mins past appointments. No explanations on why or letting you know what's going on. Complete rip off on parking as well.
Up until Covid the service was exceptional. Now because of all the PIA protocols it’s nothing to wait for 3 hours for an X-ray.
Takes forever to talk to a human over the phone and when you do get through they are rude and none caring.
Top of line kinda place, busy as any other
It is simply wonderful, they treat the patients with respect , the staff always have a smile, it looks like a 5 star hotel. Very good for the volunteers. Great staff. THANKS THANKS
I have had 2 surgeries there and have been treated with the outmost care . Friendly helpful staff and beautiful clean facilities. I just wish you didn't have to pay for parking ????♀️ CHEERS
Locked doors in stairwell, scary!
One of the worst experiences I have ever had.Went for a colonoscopy.Escorted to a large room full of patients who are in the process of getting naked, some were.Flimsy curtains were acting as your walls of privacy. Most were not closed properly.Treated like cattle.Only one elderly nurse with white hair showed any compassion. The rest of the nurses treated us like cattle. It was clearly obvious that the entire process was structured for the benefit of the health workers and NOT the patients. That's the main reason I quit nursing.
I attended at the surgery centre today to receive a joint fluoro injection to alleviate my hip pain. I am on the non-essential surgery list for a hip replacement and have been in a great deal of pain. Not any longer. The doctor who administered the injection and the staff who assisted couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. The treatment has been great. Ask my wife. She drove a grouchy husband to the hospital and brought home a pleasant human being. Thank you
Great staff great service i give them 100/100
Nothing unpleasant happened in five sessions that we had to be there and we received adequate level of service. In particular, staff are very friendly and helpful!
When I was younger and had a broken clavicle bone, one of the staff members would bully me. He was an Asian guy (I think most likely Filipino) and really unmasculine acting. He's like an assistant there. Also one of the old Asian guy patients there bullied me too.
Had to visit the Lab at JP and both times tests were missed being ordered off my Requisition. First time I called and they added it on, the second time I have not been able to speak with anyone to tell them they missed a test, as they simply put you on hold. I have tried for 2 days to call in and have been placed on hold for a total of 3hrs, never getting to speak to anyone. Even the Lab Supervisor has not returned my call. So at this point the test remains not ordered and run. Clearly the Manger runs the lab poorly and does not serve the patients.
Nice laboratory facility. Senior Staff could adjust their tone of voice when patient needs reminders. Tactfulness is needed as it is an open lounge where everybody can hear the conversation.
Very bad service. They kick my mom out same day after she had breast cancer removal surgery, no overnight stay like any other hospitals. The doctor left right away after surgery, did not even came to look and speak to my mom about her condition after her surgery. No nurse that come to our house to remove her blood drains, like most hospital that provides this service, we have to go to a family doctor to remove the drains. All in all, we most likely will never go back to this place.
An excellent place for medical treatment
Excellent place for outpatient medical tests.
My experience at the Surrey Outpatient clinic has been a nightmare. I typically deal with various Vancouver hospitals and clinics and the difference between Surrey and Vancouver is night and day. The Jim Pattison Outpatient staff needs customer service training. They don't know how to talk to the general public. They are rude and aggressive. My philosophy is if you don't like your job than quit. The Vancouver hospitals' staff members are knowledgeable, punctual and empathic. If I did not live in Surrey, I would not be dealing with the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care.
Was there today for the first time since moving to Surrey last year. The two technicians that saw me were delightful, professional energetic young women. One was in UltraSound and the other worked in X-Ray. One thing that I didn't enjoy was paying for parking...too expensive for a senior living on CPP
They don't open until 9 am during the weekends and they schedule an appointment for 8:20am. Why the hell would u do that??? Ridiculous, just another way for money grab. Pathetic...
I had a surgery today on 4th floor. It was so nice experience for me. They are such a nice and kind people!! Before surgery, I just got worry about situation, cuz my husband cannot come to hospital together due to Covid 19. However, Nurses are more kind and good than my husband:) My nurse helped me out so kindly... every time, when I need, she brought a cup of filling up ice water. Also, she help me to drink water I just wanna say thank you so much ...to all Jim patterson hospital nurses! They really warmed my heart????
They are always patient and very through and never hesitate to take you through what th
Great staff, just don't use the self check in, we waited 15 min before realizing the desk was never notified we had arrived
Hire some receptionists that do their job this hospitals a complete joke avoid at all costs
From the moment you get in the door, they are there to help you. I've always had excellent care no matter what the reason is for me being there.
Fairly quick medical procedures but ridiculously expensive parking.
Long long long looooooooong wait for the patients. If your appointment is at 1:30, expect it to be finished at 4 o’clock. Doctors don’t even give any medicine and say to take Advil or Tylenol. Parking is so freakin expensive. I should’ve rather canceled my son’s appointment.
They take minimum one week to send x ray reports to confirm whether there is fracture or not... should patients keep on waiting with broken bones if there is really fracture!!
Laboratory need more staff.. Although you have appointment they not gonna take you on time.
I am so grateful for the care I had at the pain clinic.I was in a place in my life where I was beginning to believe there was no hope for me.My pain was so overwhelming,The professional help I received was so caring and understanding, many thanks to Ruth and everyone involved with my healing.I have my life back.I have learned so much I appreciate everyone who helped me believe that I can have a great quality of life.Much love to all!
Had a chest xray. The requisition said to use nipple markings. He did not do it. I questioned him about it because he did not do it. Got mad at me because he said I should of told him. Not my job to read it to him. Not very professional.
No follow up from The stroke clinic 2 years later I now see the importance They are unreachable Had a stroke and still waiting as the hospital said they were going to be contacting me Do not hold Your breath with these people they have flaws all over No faith in a system that is supposed to prevent Tia’s
I'd like to thank all nurses and doctors for what they did for me. i was treated with respect and professional manner when i had minor surgery.
I had surgery today on the 4th floor, with it being my first time there. I was greeted by security as I was lost as to what to do when I walked in and he was kind, escorting me up by elevator. With it being COVID, I was asked to sanitize my hands and provided a mask right away. This was good to see they were following protocols. After registering, I was taken to the Unit and given my oh so good looking outfit, welcomed nicely. My nurse (wish I had gotten her name) was down to earth and did well on my IV. Sadly for them they were short staffed, so 3 other nurses also checked on with me. No complaints - all were lovely and apologetic. Even though they had nothing to be sorry for. Anesthesiologist was awesome - Dr. Twist, whose sense of humor calmed me. He was a hoot! (Thank you) Staff in the OR were awesome as well. I have a potty mouth and was nervous - they handled me well. My cardiologist Dr. Lemaitre was amazing as usual and all went quickly and smoothly. I was greeted with a glass of cold water to drink quickly and given directions - written and printed - that were clear and easy to understand. Thank you to all of you working on June 22, 2020. It was nothing but a positive experience.
I had a surgical procedure performed at JPOCSC on Friday, August 27th,, 2021 and I was astounded by the medical staff. I was met at every turn by nurses and doctors whose commitment to optimizing my experience was so evident. Every step, every procedure, every decision, option, requirement, was clearly and cheerfully presented to me. Their commitment to my wellbeing, their professionalism and their efficiency was ever present, as was their good cheer. I say this again because it spoke of an enthusiasm and a love for what they do; it truly made a difference. Julia, Monika, Dawn, Paula, Drs. Nguyen and Dickson were all simply amazing.
Hardly ever any parking
Had ct scan on Dec 4th to confirm what the mass in lungs was but still no results sent to drs. Never wanted to go there but said an opening came there first. It's been a month since original xray and no treatment if you are concerned what you have is cancerous try not to have to go there. Already been diagnosed once with cancer so a recurrence is possible. But have no worries they will monitor your paid parking diligently
If you like hospitals that will cancel your surgery that took months to organize and get together just cuz its a slow day in the O.R. then look no further.
I am giving 1 star rating we waited more than an hours for the IV day clinic and the front desk staff was extremely rude !! Very rude how can they make a sick person wait for more than an hour ? If your appointment is set at a certain hour why wait for extra hour ? And be rude about it no apologies no explanation. Very disappointed for making my mom wait while sitting on a walker ! Rude !
I have a medical referral for a specialist in North Vancouver while I live in South Surrey with a wait time of 3 months.. A call was made to inquire regarding a referral to Jim Pattinson which is much closer to home to find out the wait time is 1 to 2 years. How many times can a person die before getting to the front of the line. This is like having no medical coverage what so ever.
Good service & friendly staff members
The staff was very helpful, and patient. very clean. A good experience.
Very poor experience, staff at front desk at 2C were completely rude and unfriendly, ignored me initially and continued to discuss the weekend. I was the only patient there, there were 5 girls just sitting behind desk. Finally one just barked ar me "card", never made eye contact, just left me standing at desk while she got paperwork together then threw papers on desk and told to take them down corridor 3 and wait. Sonographer no better, not even a hello, just called out last name, never spoke to me again, just said you're done and left. Very unimpressed with staff, unprofessional and no compassion for what is happening to patients . Clearly staff needs training or should not be in that field. Jim Pattison outpatient center needs to address their poor staff.
Would never get a blood test here again was told it was sent to doctor doctor said he didn't get it supervisor said they resent it still nothing a week later so reseptions from doctor calls to finally get it from them
Even my cat has a website, this place doesn't. When you call them to ask when the xray dep. is open, the operator doesn't know it and will transfer you to the department, where you can mess your way around the menu system to find the hours of operations, because when ask for the operator(in the imaging department) it says " I can't dial that number, good bye" . What a joke! In 2015?!
Terrible customer service and good luck trying to get through to anyone by phone at anytime. In order to get an Xray done I was told to come in to book an appointment as they don't do phone appointments. Why would anyone want to drive there and pay for parking just to book an appointment.
Super clean, friendly staff everywhere, easy to get in and out of.
Great place ! Clean and staff were excellent.
The whole parking scenario- really? Most places that are paid parking are able to be paid by pay my phone. In this case if you left your credit card at home- you're screwed. Go ahead and miss your appointment. I had to run around to the ATM and back just to get change. It's hectic. Like it's a healthcare centre.... really ? Make it so complicated? Second- wait times are ridiculous. I came for a 4 pm ultrasound appointment ... on a full bladder... and siting here 15 min past my appt time waiting and waiting in pain. Like this is absolutely horrendous. No f*cks given, simply put.
Good people at this place except for some just don't really care that you play these head games with you in certain departments like the wound clinic they make it difficult for you to make your appointments at least they seem to try to
Waited total 2 hours for lab work cuz had to go away and come back as having other stuff done, 45 minutes for Xray and wasted more time going back and forth.
Everytime I go there I'm treated well lung deputy /CT scan and blood often over last few years thank-you too all staff that work there
Honestly worst staff at 2Cdoesn’t know how to treat the people and the booker so called GINA is totally an idiot lol???? very bad experience. Feeling sad for (JIM PATTISON GROUP ) and the owner too . RACISIM IN THE HOSPITAL TOO .. ahahahahha God bless y’all .
My friend went to this hospital and the specialist thought that she was exaggerating, she didn't care; We waited an hour to be seen and that doctor (if she can be called that) just wanted her to get out of her office quickly. Doctors like this should not be practicing, it is disrespectful and a waste of time.
Surgeons/doctors need to tell us how astronomical parking is - (and the day I went), no change accepted - so, rather than risk getting car towed - like we saw happening, I had to leave after an hour and a half - still not even close to being seen by the ortho cast clinic - doctor was not understanding of the $ limitations of his hobbled patients who have been off work so long, waiting for these appointments, they cannot afford parking in a borrowed old car when their wait times are three hours behind!! THREE hours. and that was the hard-working front desk's -frontline always get , and sometimes give the bad vibe - because entitled doctors don't understand our needs - no one wins.
Professional, friendly and caring staff. Surgeries can get bumped and delayed. But overall the experience is very comfortable.
The staff were compassionate and the nurses imparticular were exceptional. They made my first experience having surgery a lot more comfortable.
My dad's family doctor called me to give me the appointment date and time and once I go there the receptionist Lucy said they called and left a message to reschedule the appointment because she made a mistake and overbooked. No one called and no one left a message, she had the wrong number and lied about it and never admitted to her mistake. I booked a day off work to take my dad because he is blind, the appointment was at 2 and it took them 56 minutes to tell the doctor can't see him. We were setting for an hour and she comes and tell us the doctor will not see him. She wasted my whole day and now I have to book another day off work to take him again. She is a rude and horrible person for wasting someone's day, specially around covid time.
I find the Lab technicians, and office staff very professional in their handling of patients. If you don't want to wait in a long lineup..come when they open. If you are coming at noon, bring your patience and not your phone so you whine and complain to someone on the other end about the long wait. I have to go there on Sundays, because of my medications, and doctor appointments on the Monday. I am glad they are open Sundays to accomodate me. I find the patients sometimes annoying and very rude.
Nice clean premises with helpful staff
Like any hospital in BC, the reception staff are constantly complaining about their computer system and appointments are sometimes lost or mis-booked. However, my experience with the Community Birthing Program there has been amazing. They are extremely attentive and very diligent. They have all the resources they need in one building and if those resources are too busy, they find you ones close by. The facility is beautiful and clean (so far), my only complaint is the parking is very expensive ($5/hr) - but that's typical in the lower mainland.
Good service
One of the best
Beautiful facility and adequately staffed with well trained friendly people.
it was a short wait
The facility is fine. The ability to get through to Dr. Dandina in the pain management dept. is far from acceptable. It is terrible! Phone appointments not kept, other physicians unable to leave messages or responses for patients in pain. The worst experience my father has had to endure. If you have an alternative pain management doctor to see, do so. This is exactly what is wrong with our medical system.
Dear viewers, YOU looking 4 HONEST Opinion of The staff, from a very honest observation I have seen twice now at this hospital. A few staff are friendly but most I see observe patience and NOT NICE AND JUDGE YOU. I saw one young lady pregnant trying to get a vaccine to save her baby. And the staff were uncaring. No help at all and treated her as if she was a burden. All because she did not have the first name of her doctor that was unfortunately new to Vancouver and had forgotten to give the pregnant young lady the of paper to go with her script there for rejecting this patient knowingly that if she did not get this shot her baby could potentially die .... they did nothing but smile ... I over herd her telling them she had just came from the hospital and the 1st level of him Patterson sent her upstairs where she was a patience in January.... now polite as can be she explains her situation and there response sorry because u were a patient in January you no longer can get it done here giving her know advice
MRI technitions were amazing!!!
I had a surgery at this facility, and was very impressed by the knowledgeable and friendly staff. Everyone was working as a well-organized team, and they really put a human touch on the care being provided. Communication was excellent, with all details being double-checked and the treatment plan being clearly explained, with all questions answered.
Sucks. If u have any other option go for it.
