I was very impressed by the technical improvements for checking your eyesight out. It was so nice not to have to submit to having my pupils dialated, as we always did in the past, to check on them. Now they have you look into a hole at a blue ring & flash a picture brightly as you're looking. A little startling, but so much easier on the eyes. Dr Dawson was personable and knowledgeable and made the appointment interesting.

The staff here was very rude, I’m not sure if it was because I am a African American female or what but the receptionist snatched the paperwork out my hand while I was writing on it, also rude tone and harsh demeanor. Not pleased at all I will likely never return

Dr. Dawson is always very friendly and thorough. He is respectful by explaining each test/exam and why it will help him with his overall assessment. He is patient during the vision exam and will 're-flip' the lens options as many times needed to allow you opportunity to be confident in your answer (without making you feel like you're being a pain about it). I've been seeing optometrists annually for over 30 years and I'm very happy to have found Dr. Dawson in such a convenient location for me.

This doctor absolutely sucks! I was 8 mins late to an appointment and normally you have 10-15 to get to a doctors appointment. I was told that I had to reschedule because he runs on time. I told the front desk next time you should tell people that in a voice mail. Do not go to Kenwood location nasty staff.

The exam was fine, but I was not satisfied with my dialogue with Dr. Dawson. I had some real concerns that he seemed to brush off. I also asked some pointed, specific questions that were answered in a vague, condescending way that really put me off. I am going to find another eye doctor. I hope this helps.

During some aspects of the examination Mr. Dawson was VERY rude and unprofessional. He asked me read the chart and as I spoke my eyeglasses fogged up because of my face mask. When I told him that I couldnt see, he told me that everyone complained about that and he didnt care. When I moved my mask to the side of my face to explain to him that I wasn't trying to be difficult, he barked at me and i quote “you remove that mask and this exam is over” I am very disappointed with your customer service. I expect that you will show this to him and he will put “his spin” on it and that I was somehow in the wrong with this encounter. I realize that we are in the midst of a pandemic but that doesnt qualify Mr. Dawson to be that rude. I just felt that you should know.

The reason for my visit was I had a lot of swelling and itchy eyes. I was scheduled with Dr Steven Grout. He didn't know how to treat me so he sent me to a pharmacist. It cost me $80.00 to be referred to a pharmacist. I have only seen Dr Grout one other time and wasn't impressed with him then. It really bothered me I had to pay the full $80.00 when the Dr had no idea what to do to help me. I think $40.00 would have been more acceptable. I like Dr Dawson but don't know if I will continue to be a patient there.
