First time at Spec-takular and loved it! They were crowded when we first walked in but those ladies in the front did their best to juggle all of us and we felt welcomed. I had an eye exam and bought new lenses and glasses. When I shop for glasses, I don’t trust my judgement. I always grab a handful and then let other people choose for me. All three ladies in the front gathered around and were honest. They told me what looked good and what didn’t look good. I don’t think I have ever picked out a pair so quickly. Very excited to pick them up! I saw Dr. Connell and he was great! I had what I thought was pink eye three times back a few months ago and I told Dr. Connell. He immediately said it didn’t sound like pink eye and instead sounded like episcleritis. He described it to me and said if it comes back to come and see him. I also have a scarred macula that he was able to easily find and tell me that it was most likely caused by a laser beam based on the look of it. Very knowledgeable man who was able to answer all my questions. Also! I had already used my insurance for lenses for the year and being so close to the new year they said they would hold onto my purchase and not process until after the first of the year so I could use my insurance. It’s the little things! Definitely recommend! I have always gone to bigger companies all my life like LensCrafters and Pearle Vision. This was my first visit at a smaller one and I will definitely be returning.

Set up an eye exam with Spec-takular due to the amazing reviews online. Dr. Kimmons did a very thorough exam, however completely screwed up my prescription!! Details are below..... Due to their very limited choice of mens frames I went to vision works to get my glasses. Went by and they printed out my script. Very excited to get new glasses, go to put them on and could tell immediately there was a problem. Had bad double vision. They looked and noticed the my prism went from a .5 to a 3.50? They were surprised on such a huge increase. Went back to Spec-takular to find out they got my old script from Dawson Vision and she adjusted the prism to .75. No phone call to inform me of the change? Why would they print me out a script that wasn't finalized? So now I am going to have to go to Vision Works for another eye exam that a will cost me $60 out of pocket since I burnt my one exam with VSP and now I can't trust this place. One good thing is the rest of the staff is very polite and professional. That is the only thing saving this place from getting a one star. I will never go back to here again. Now I have to suffer with old glasses until I can get these new ones redone.

Highly recommend. Love this place. They are always so warm and welcoming. The Environment is wonderful. It feels like your shopping in a boutique not going to an dull eye doctor appointment. They are also very professional as well. With my long list of eye problems, they know exactly what to do and how to fix it. Plus I always get the cutest glasses from there.

These ladies are "Spec-takular"!! I saw Dr Kimmons Doty for the first time nearly 20 years ago, and she diagnosed an eye disorder that prompted me to have Lasix corrective surgery. Even though I no longer need glasses/contacts, I still see her for my yearly vision exams, and now both of my children see her as well. She does great with kids! Dr Kimmons Doty's entire office is unique, warm and inviting, definitely NOT your typical eye office. Beautifully decorated and designed by the talented Dr Kimmons Doty herself, and every lady in that office is friendly and extremely knowledgeable about your needs! You will feel like family right away and with the best eye care!

Spectacular Boutique is a great place to have your vision tested. They know all the signs of keratoconus which is very important to me because I have it. When they see my children they check to be sure that they do not. Although I do not get seen there they have given me hope that my vision will be restored and that they will do everything possible to make sure my son does not get the disease I have. They are friendly, professional, and know what they are doing. I will continue to take my son here every year and if any of my other children where to need glasses or be tested I'll be bringing them here too. I highly recommend spectacular Boutique to anybody.

Other than that little issue - The service was great, the folks were attentive to my needs and helpful in select the right frames. The Doc on duty even offered a free eval of my eye after a week of therapy to make sure it was working well.

This by far was the best eye care place we have ever been to. From start to finish our experience was so good and really mattered to the whole staff. What stands out is the personal assistance in choosing from the large variety of frames but most of all that Dr. Kim was able to diagnose my husband with a serious eye disease that no one else took the time to check for. He literally got emotional as he never thought he would ever be relieved of symptoms that have effected the quality of his life everyday for as long as he could remember. Only thing I regret is I wish I had gone years ago when someone had highly recommended it!
