These people move slow and almost never have an availability. My eyes needed checked badly and I am a patient there and the soonest they could see me was a week away. The lady I spoke with on the phone her name was jeanne and she didnt even care that I was going to switch to a different eye doctor. It sounded like this happens a lot to them because the doctor is never there. Worst review ive ever written and I hope they notice bad service is not over-looked.

I came here when I used to live in League City years ago and have not found another vision center comparable to South Shore. The whole staff are not only exceptionally nice but extremely helpful! They think outside the box and try to figure out the best solution for any issue. Most of the staff is still the same, which is nice also. Definitely worth the drive if you don't live close by.

I don't write reviews but I felt bad seeing all the negative opinions, I recently went in for an eye exam and it was extremely quick and everyone was very friendly. They helped me almost immediately after I finish my single page of paper work and I was done within the hour.

Excellent staff and doctors. I have moved to many places even out of country and I am always looking for good eye doctors for my kids I just moved to here and I went to the right place. The doctor listened about my kids issues and gave them the right prescription.

I received a very thorough exam by the Optometrist (Dr. Gibson), which required referral and treatment by an Ophthalmologist in another office. I ordered both contacts and glasses, and the contacts arrived the next day, which is the fastest I've ever received an order. Staff were friendly and knowledgable. The office is conveniently located with ample parking but is not too busy, making it a wonderful alternative to some of the larger eye centers in the Clear Lake area. Highly recommend.

This office is terrible, the staff is rude and worthless. The doc was nice enough, but his support staff - I talked to several - are enough for me to go anywhere else. Their selection of glasses is also very minimal. Would recomend finding a different office.

South Shore Eye Center was very helpful. I went in with my daughter's broken glasses, Melody went above and beyond her job to help us. We could not fix them there but, I was very impressed with the service we were treated with. I was so satisfied with the clinic and staff that I made an appointment for myself. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends!!!!

I tried to make annual checkup appointment, ‘we are fully booked, first available is...’ so I was scheduled 10 days after date of my call. Thinking they must be very busy, I arrived for my 09.10am apt at 0905. Receptionist Jean was pleasant. There was one other patient. At 0945 I was taken for 45sec test (still only one other patient) then taken to room. Dr came in at 0955, I left office at 10.51am Had the office been busy I’d understand. Had someone explained dr was running late, I’d have understood. But no communication?, only one other person, very strange and very poor. 1hour and 41mins for an annual, uncomplicated checkup, (even got same prescription) that’s a first for me! They did have my lens for me the following day, so thank you for that.

My husband recommended that I go to South Shore Eye Center to get glasses. I have been to several eye doctors but my vision just wasn't very clear. Dr. Bob Gibson is a great eye doctor and very through. He performed several tests and after I received my glasses it was like I was seeing the world in bright colors. Carrie is really helpful with picking out the right frames for your face structure. The front desk employees were so nice and professional. They make you feel like family. I highly recommend.

The doc is great, but the staff isn't good. I've mistakenly gotten 2 glasses from here, and they do not care for their patients at all. I learned the hard way, the staff doesn't know what they're doing enough. I'm disappointed, I'm not coming back. The selection of glasses is very minimal as well, and they don't keep up with new styles.
