I had a eye appointment with Dr. Michelle Derheimer. All I can say is that the service from start to finish was perfect. They were polite, fast and very friendly. Dr. Derheimer was very knowledgeable about my condition and got me taken care of. The optometrist even did a follow up phone call to check on my eye, now that's customer service!! If your looking for a friendly, knowledgeable and quick experience, Dr Derheimer and her team is the answer!!

Dr. Amato is one of the best doctors I have ever had. He is very thorough in explaining the procedure before and after. He takes his time with his patients. Now calling and trying to get an answer to a question is another story. I have called twice with questions and had to leave a message which was never returned. The last time was after my surgery I was having headaches from the drops. I called left a message on Thursday and have not heard from anybody. I have stopped using the eye drops.

I came in for Visian ICL and while this was not cheap by any means, you will definitely get your money's worth.

I am sitting in the waiting room waiting for my husband and to be seen by the doctor for an upcoming procedure. There is at least 8 ladies in the front desk area trying on clothes “Mary” does not fit in anymore. There is a wall in between the front desk and back cabinets, however you can hear and walk around the desk are and see everything. I am hearing about tramp stamps tattoos and jewelry. I was not aware I was not attending a fashion show while I husband was getting his surgical consult. I have not ever been in this office so this is my first experience. For a medical facility, this is the most unprofessional building I have ever been in. If This was my decision, I would not have my surgery here. So disappointed

The doctor was fine but check-out was a disaster. Was going to complain directly to the office via their "patient portal" but the instructions in the email they sent require an "enrollment token given to you by the practice" which I did not receive. Perhaps the woman at checkout, Breanna, was supposed to give this to me. I don't know. What I do know is that she was rude and also failed to communicate answers to my questions in a professional manner. Here's the deal: I was checking out for my son as well as myself. She gave me just one prescription and said, "You're good." To which I asked about my prescription. Huffle-puffle I get that, only to discover it was a prescription for my vocational lenses, which I'm not replacing at this time. Fine, so I asked for my other prescription. After a non-verbal interval, I get that one, only to see that it had the same indications as my other prescription. So I asked for clarification. Rather than a professional conversation, she just marks out the indication on the second prescription and mumbled something about refraction. I asked for clarification, but received none, so I had to go back toward the exam rooms - which the staff certainly did not appreciate. But I wanted to be sure I was going to have the correct prescription filled. I think that is a reasonable expectation. I will follow through with my son's appointment at Dr. Sullivan's Des Peres office, but am not inclined to return to this location.

I had cataract surgery 3 years ago and have returned for my annual exam yearly with the same issues. The right eye is perfect. But the left eye has been extra sensitive to light coming in from the left and always waters. I have used lubricating drops as they suggested. I paid extra for special lenses and my vision was perfect for the first few months. While I can see, my vision is not acute like it was immediately after surgery. I don't understand why the right eye went well and the left has basically had issues for the past 3 years.

This is the second time Clarkson Eyecare referred me to these wahoos. First for cataract surgery which Dr. Gira totally botched. This month 2021 i had a tear in my retina. So I had an appointment to see Dr. Kavali on Wednesday for a retina tear. She scheduled me for a noon appointment. I had propofol going into the operating room so she could inject painkillers in and around my right eye. Those wore off so when she began to laser and freeze the tear, it hurt and I let her know that. Too bad, so sad. Two more lasers and freezes also painful. My eye is a bloody mess. I pray I get my vision back. Stay away from this place.

There is a disconnect between the front desk and the assistant who first saw me at a consultation before cataract surgery. The front desk insisted that I had to sign a form saying that I had to pay for any refractory services and she would not allow me to see the surgeon and assistant without signing the form. Note I just had refractive services 2 weeks prior. The surgeon's assistant started to perform refractive services so I asked 3 times about whether I will be charged for these refractive services. Three times the assistant politely said I would not be charged for these refractive services and put an X through the form I signed. This puts the patient in a difficult situation. I signed a form saying I would need to pay for refractive services under pressure from the front desk but the surgeon's assistant 3 times saying otherwise.
