I scheduled yearly preventative wellness exam and got billed for diagnostic. Definitely misled by this office. I am very disappointed with the billing department. I brought my three children in for their yearly eye exams. Apparently they coded them as diagnostic exams not preventive so my insurance would not cover the total cost. My insurance called them more than once. I was told the only code they have is diagnostic so I am stuck with a big fat bill. I will not be going back.

My first experience there was unimpressive. My doctor was abrupt with me and treated me as if I was wasting his time. I almost got up and but decided to stay. My money is just as green as anyone's. They were completely unprofessional

My wife and I have been going to Intermountain Eye for almost two decades. Service has always (always) been efficient, friendly, and on time. Not sure how other folks are having such bad experiences as I have not seen it at all. And the gentleman (from Challis) who did not think he would need to where a mask (or even thought to ask before he drove in)...what on earth was he thinking was going to happen? Mask up, folks. You are going to a medical facility!!!!!

Great place to go if you don’t mind waiting. At least three people were scheduled for the same time for every one of the appointments I have had with Dr. Reynolds. Never an apology from the staff or the doctor, who doesn’t even look you in the eye. I still don’t have my prescription after three requests.

The waiting between each step of the process is due to poor time management on behalf of the staff. It is very clear that they continue to over schedule and anyone can tell you in life, rushing anything never yields quality results. What a waste of time.

Great place for eye care. They worked very closely with my insurance (VSP) AND I GOT exactly what I needed at a great price. It's in the St Alphonsus building. Not outside.

Horrible experience. The woman who helped me before the doctor came in was very unprofessional. I experienced a scary injury and the EMT had to come...when they did they told me that they are in there ALL THE TIME.

Based on the other reviews (and how few there are), I'm going to assume this is a case of only people with negative experiences/generally bad attitudes (check their other reviews out) taking the time make one. I've been coming here for years for my annual eye exam. It's always efficient, friendly, and without billing issues. What more do you need?

Today (6/24/20) I had an appointment in the Meridian facility that had been rescheduled from an original appointment on 6/30/20 in Boise (that originally scheduled appointment having been made in June of 2019). Upon arriving I was informed I would be required to wear a mask while in the facility. I had NOT been told of this requirement when the appointment was made. When I advised the office staff I did not wear masks I was abruptly & rather rudely informed I would do so or NOT be allowed in the facility. It should be noted I reside in & drove from Challis, Idaho, over 180 miles away, for this appointment. While I was not asked I am extremely claustrophobic as well as having extreme difficulty breathing with a face covering. This was no apparent concern as I was asked to leave which I did. Potential patient beware.

Was treated there with a referral from Boise V.A. I have to agree with some of the other reviews. The people at the front desk act like they are doing you a favor. KIND OF RUDE. Dr Reynolds seemed great the first time I saw him, but, when I went back for a recheck he ignored my questions and kind of blew me off. Thought maybe it was because I was a vet, and the VA was paying my bill. Not impressed. The person doing my initial exam was friendly and courteous.

Tried to make an appointment in the eagle location today. Took forever to answer the phone and the staff person who did answer was completely rude and totally unprofessional. If the front desk is rude can only imagine how the professional staff would be. No thanks. I'll take my business to someone who values their patients.

I started going to Intermountain Eye back on 70s when it was Adkins and Fulwyler. In all these years, I have found doctors and staff to be professional, friendly and helpful. When I thought I had retinal detachment, I received a very thorough exam (luckily this didn't happen). The opticians have helped me in picking out all my frames and I have always received compliments on them. I trust Intermountain Eye Center with my eye health.

Performed cataract surgery on me. Tried to get in for a follow up appointment to look at problems I am having with the same eye. Never a call back after several messages. Poor communication and poor customer service from the front office to the doctors. Apparently others have had problems with this same organization. They have always acted like they’re doing you a favor by walking in the door. Wish I’d have done my homework beforehand.

Front office people need replaced. Not helpful and often rude. Good luck getting them to answer the phone. No customer service whatsoever
