The services offered (to a family/friend of mine) were immaculate, the doctors are very experienced and provided top-of-the-line Care and the majority of the staff were very sweet and tried to make us as comfortable as possible. The brown-headed woman who worked with us was very knowledgeable about glasses and made my friend/family member feel like they were involved in every step of this process. However, in my opinion, as a guest to this office I could feel the tension between the staff and that made me and my party uncomfortable and eager to leave. Upon leaving i was informed that the doctors and staff were discussing private patient information, not just about my friend/family member but also about other patients in the office at that time, in the hallway outside of the exam room. In my opinion, this is UNACCEPTABLE in any line of work. Working as a TEAM to make sure guests and patients who visit this office feel comfortable, safe, and at ease is something, we believe, that is essential in a doctors office. For this reason we will be looking elsewhere for our eye care services.

The staff was rude, me and my daughter had checked in and had done all the testings...A younger lady who had been our "nurse" acted sorta snobbish and rude. We had been there for about a hour, when finally the main doctor had come to give us the results... As soon as he came in he said we had to be wearing a mask.. But none of the other staff besides the front check-in had really said anything about it, when legally the governor had said that kids under age 12 and people who have religious terms or health concerns did NOT have to wear masks. The doctor then smirked and rushed us out of the building for simply having reasons not to wear a mask. This experince was terrible, and i will never go back to this business.. This could of been handled differently, but the doctor was very unprofessional. We had had already been there a while and it seemed as if we were a "threat", we should of been told at the beginning. There is much more to this story, but I'm possibly seeking litigation because the medical reason i could not wear a mask should not have been asked due to Hippa violations. I have been to sevaral places throught the many months during this pandemic and never once been told to put a mak on...

I had an awesome experience at I Care Vision Associates this past weekend. While visiting Johnson City I found myself in need of some vision care. It was 4 PM on a Friday afternoon and I walked right in with no appointment. They treated me like I had been a patient of theirs for many years. Marina, Amanda, Lindsey and Dr. Schwichtenberg were awesome. The care I was given was outstanding. I don’t live in Johnson City TN, but if I did I would definitely become a patient. Even though I had no appointment, they squeezed me in and took care of Vision problem. I highly recommend I Care vision associates in Johnson City Tennessee.

Optometrist was friendly, direct, and accommodating; took the time to discuss exam results in detail. Optician was cheerful and provided good advice about frames based on what I need; fitting did not take long.

Dr. Harrison fit me with scleral lenses since I have abnormally high astigmatism and the manufacturer that made my soft contact lenses for years stopped making them. I can see 20/15 now! Up until now, I was corrected to 20/40 at best with soft contacts and glasses. Dr. Harrison took the time and expertise to make sure the scleral lenses were safe and gave me the best vision possible. I refuse to see any other eye doctor. I used to work for this office years ago and my whole family still goes there. My parents, my son, and my nephews all go there and I trust them with my parents glaucoma and cataracts. Friday morning I woke up with severe pain in my right eye and they took excellent care of me. They are my favorite! I would recommend them to anyone that needs to see an eye doctor. In my opinion him and his wife are the best doctors to see in the whole state of Tennessee.

Dr. Harrison was excellent. He did a very thorough exam. He discovered that the soft lenses I had gotten from another practice were damaging my eyes. He suggested gas permeable lenses. He spent hours getting the correct fit for my eyes,and making sure I was comfortable with applying them and taking them out. I would recommend him and the folks at I Care Vision to anyone. Wouldn't recommend Dr. Hejney. Maybe she was having a bad day. Maybe she's really rude. I'll never know which one, because I won't be coming back. She was pretty disrespectful during my visit telling me that it wasn't right, in her opinion, that I was still on my parents insurance plan since I'm a student. I should have to pay for my own plan. I thought I was here for an eye exam, not a lecture.

I'm so glad to have found this office. After having issues with my eyes my whole life, this place really has changed my life. I have a condition called Keratoconus and have spent most of my life with terrible vision. I came in to see Dr Harrison and he suggested scleral lenses and they are amazing, I went from seeing 20/60 to 20/20! I was literally in tears when I left their office because it really is life changing! Every one of the staff members are really kind and really listen. Sometimes it takes a few office visits to get the measurements correct, but its soo worth it! Thank you guys so much for helping me see the world more clearly!!

Dr Hunt is very attentve to my overall eye health. As a diabetic, eyecare is very important to me, and he always asks about my a1c and examines my eyes for potential damage from the diabetes. I was avoiding bifocals, but tried them on his recommendation, and am so glad I did. They have made a big difference in my everyday activities. Highly recommended.

The Doctors and staff have been great in meeting my eye care needs. In 2004 I was experiencing difficulties with eye strain - specifically the eye muscles. The final diagnosis was that I needed to add prism to my eye prescription. It took a while to get used to it, but I am very glad the issue was taken care of. My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Schwichtenberg's for 13-14 years now. He and his staff are very knowledgable, helpful, and professional. I HIGHLY recommend this practice. He's watching me for the possible onset of glaucoma, but is hesitant to start me on eye drops before it's necessary. I really appreciate this approach, because many other doctors would just write a prescription without getting all the data to see if and when it's warranted. The Dr. answers all my questions and explains all the factors that are going into his recommendations for my care. We're very happy with the treatment and service we get at I Care Vision Associates.

I am seriously scared of the eye doctor, and I hate anything to do with my eyes. However, Dr. Hunt handled my case with complete professionalism and compassion.
