This company has the most abyssmal customer experience I have ever seen. Be wary because they will NOT take accountability for billing and they will blame the customer for their error. Take your money elsewhere.

I was properly treated for a corneal abrasion. Everyone I met was professional and kind. I would recommend this practice to anyone with an eye issue.

My experience with Dr. Wei, and all of the office staff was very positive! Everyone that I talked to, and everyone that helped me, was kind and professional. I would recommend Dr. Wei for her expertise, concern, follow-through and passion for what she does. Besides all of that, she is delightfully pleasant with an unmatchable bedside manner!!!

I would give zero stars if possible. The doctor himself was nice enough, but the office staff has just been a nightmare. They gave me another woman's patient plan after I verified MY date of birth. After the doctor told me he would put a request into my insurance for specific lenses that I need for my condition, the office told me I had to call the insurance company myself and request it. When I called, my insurance was furious. Called the office. They told my insurance company that they were too busy to put the request in. Insurance told them they had to because I didn't have access to that department. So I wait three weeks before calling my insurance company back. No claim had been made. My insurance called them AGAIN. They proceeded to tell the insurance company that they weren't going to put in the request because the insurance would deny the claim. I have never been so fed up and appalled at how unhelpful an office could be. I saw a new eye doctor today and got the lenses approved within five hours of leaving the new office. Worst office I have ever had the misfortune of working with in all of New York.

Dr Sambursky was a good technician who paid no attention to my wishes or my eye history. I asked Mr Pisanchyn clearly to remain near-sighted in both eyes and warned that I could not tolerate big changes. The cataract surgery left me with substantial refractive error due a change of vision from -7.25, -6 (very near-sighted) to +0.50 (far-sighted), which temporarily closed my portrait photography business. Now I wear contact lenses to become near-sighted again, and glasses. Medical record contains serious falsehoods. No one mentioned scarring, which I have and which requires another surgery.

Absolutely the customer service here is terrible. Very rude and disrespectful even when it's their fault, which it usually is.

Nicole Lancaster

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!!!!!

Jon Hurlbut

overall a good experience - eyesight is 100% now - reading glasses only

I called to reschedule my visual field and follow up appointment because it keeps getting scheduled during a class that I am teaching. It would cause me to have to cancel it which isn’t something I can just do. I gave three time slots that do work with my schedule that fit within their hours of operation. These windows were 2 hours in length. The woman on the phone did not look to see if there were any available appointments within this time, and instead told me that there was no way that they could accommodate me. Keep in mind I gave them 3, 2 hour time slots within their business hours. I have to find a new opthalmologist now. I’ve never heard of a doctors office that cannot see its patients in two hour windows within their operating hours. I really don’t get it at all. I have been getting visual fields for years now with this office within the time frames that I gave to them on the phone. A visual field test takes 30 minutes to do and then the follow up appointment is between 15-30 mins. So 2 hour windows were sufficient time suggestions from my part. I’m disappointed that something like this occurred and her unwillingness to even look to see if there were appointments available in that time frame (even if it was a month out from now) was very disappointing. She could have at least looked.

The staff and Dr Sambursky were very friendly and knowledgeable, answering all questions that I had. I have and will continue to recommend them.

My experience with Dr. Sambursky and his assistants have been amazing. I came to Dr. Sambursky with nearly all vision lost in my right eye. I was only able to see light and shadows. I previously lived in NYC and was told by multiple doctors there was nothing they could do because the cataract has been there since I was born, and had become very dense. Dr. Sambursky took the challenge, informing me that the end result may not be perfect. He performed a laser cataract removal surgery and two YAG capsulotomies (yes, it was that dense), and today I was able to read sample letters I was given, and got them all right. Of course, I couldnt see the smaller ones, and it took time after each procedure for my eye to adapt, but what matters most is that I can see out of my eye. I can see colors, I can recognize people, and im grateful for it. He is a great doctor who knows his stuff, and will not just ignore or give up on you.
