Was told contacts were in, asked if appointment was needed to pick then up and was told NO can just come pick them up! Arrived after 45 min drive just to be told you need appointment because we want to see how they look on you! "I don't need you to see how I look with them!" I need them to see ???? Soonest appointment is MONTH! Eye Optical Outlet and My Eye Doctor never had this problem, I will be returning back to them. Don't waste your time! Especially when forced to get contacts instead of eye glasses, they both work the same.
I came into the facility and was instantly greeted by Sonya with the upmost respect and quickness she handled my appointment very fast and efficiently and even helped me with my Medicaid so I did not have to pay out of pocket great service!
I love this place!!! I have been coming since since I was a kid. There has been a few changes but my currently Dr.Patel and Betty are amazing. Has genuine concern about my visions and takes the time to explain all of my questions. Overall the staff from check-in to paying at the end are well mannered and full of energy.

I am not surprised that this place has less than 3 stars reviews. I called them and asked if they helped people with a lower eyelid twitch that is constant and wont stop for 6 days. I told the girl I didn't want to waste the money if it is not something they treat. Well, this money hungry place told me yes they deal with the muscle under the eye. When I got there the first thing the doctor said before he even sat down was "We can't help with this sort of thing and my guess would be just as good as yours and google"......Isn't that nice......Now they are trying to charge me $100 for the visit. Steer clear of this place......extremely unprofessional, they just want$$$$$$$$--Luis Montenegro
If I could give less than 1 star to this business, I would. Today was the SECOND time we had an appt, only to get there & be told by the very RUDE screener, that even though we have an appt, it will be hours before they get to us because they are just "too busy". Now, keep in mind we were called yesterday to be reminded that we need to be on time for our 10 am appt. We were on time & told it would be hours. When we spoke with the Office Manager Jake Brown, he just apologized & basically said it is what it is & this is the busiest location & busiest day. No compassion, no care for our time, and no value given to us as customers! DO NOT go to this place if you want quality care & want a feeling of a compassionate health care professional!!!! We had to walk away from our 10am appt AGAIN for the second time in 7 months because of the EXACT SAME ISSUE! Yet, if we were not to show up, we would be charged a no show fee, or if we were late we would be turned away! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
It starts with customer service for any business. I had the pleasure of working with Cindy today and she helped me with my concerns and questions on my glasses. This is the first time I've met Cindy but good job Eye Specialists on finding people like this. When you feel like you are being genuinely treated as a valued customer, people like me will be back again and again.
Two of my children and myself have been seen here within a weeks time. I still have one more child to be seen next month. Each visit has been much greater than I had expected after reading the reviews. Everyone is welcoming from start to finish and Dr. Benson is great and takes time to listen to concerns and explain things. I have already received my sons glasses in less than a weeks time. This will be our go to for eye care from now on.
We just moved to Florida in May. Unfortunately my insurance did not permit another exam until June. I had an appointment with the Davenport office in July. I needed to get my conta prescription filled. They would not do it and I needed a “fitting” that they charged $50 for. I had been going to the same Opthalmologist office for over 25 years and never once was charged a fitting fee. I have been wearing contacts for 20 years. It was suggested I change contacts as they were out of date. I had been using the same contacts for about 10 years. So I changed and was provided a trial pair. I put them in and within an hour my left eye was bothering me. I checked and my left contact was blurry. It was about a week before I could get back to the office. I explained what was wrong. The staff checked with the optometrist and was told that a new trial lens would be ordered. I received the new lens and it was fine. I went in to order the contacts. I asked to make sure to check and make sure they ordered the correct left lens. I was told they had no record of a second lens for the left eye. A staff member went in back and talked to the driver. She came back and assured me they had the correct prescription. When I picked up the contacts I didn’t bother to check to make sure they were correct. I got home and checked and they were wrong. I went back the next day to get the correct lens ordered. I was told the optometrist was not in I went back a couple days later. A staff member went back to talk to the optometrist and was told they were told that I had the correct prescription. I UuI went home knowing they were wrong and called doctors office back in Pennsylvania. I was told that the prescription that this office gave me was different than the one they have been giving me for the past 6 years
How about when you say "Your prescription hasn't changed" but IT HAS just in a small amount that you think no one would notice, you actually say that. It's misleading and undermining then causes me to question everything I get from this place when I shouldn't have to. The office, medical assistants, and staff are good. That's what give this place the 2 stars.

She Found An Eye Condition I’ve Had For Years That I’ve Been Trying To Explain To EVERY Eye Doctor I Ever Had smh. She Took The Time Out To Do A Test She Learned In School & Quickly Found My Condition ???????????? She Did Not Rush Me Out & Think I’m Just Confused & Have Regular Blurry Vision. I have been to Mid Florida Eye Specialists two times this summer. They have been nothing but professional and courteous. They were able to work me in to see Dr Benson even though all appointments were booked. Dr Benson diagnosed my problem and prescribed medicine. She was very professional and explained what my problem was. I will continue to be a patient of theirs in the future.
Betty did a great job, she has great customer service skills and is a breath of fresh air for the industry. She was very kind and made me feel much more comfortable during the exam. She deserves recognition for her outstanding work and customer service.
I went in because a screw fell out of my son's glasses, causing the earpiece to fall off. Cindy helped us quickly and professionally, replacing the screw, making sure his glasses fit well, and cleaning the lenses for him.
From the beginning I had nothing but the best customer service, Dallas greeted me and did the pretest before I could enter the building he was professional and made me feel like we were old friends, the customer service continued as soon as I walked in the doors! This place is an absolute joke. Called ahead to make an appointment about an eye infection. They see me even though they know they don’t treat the condition I came in for. Then they give me some ridiculous eye exam that I didn’t need. The doctor was basically doing google searches to see what I had. She left he room to talk to another doctor then came back with prescription for a very weak antibiotic. Needless to say my condition worsened and I had to go to urgent care. The doctor at urgent care saw my prescription and said that the doctor that prescribed it must be an idiot. He prescribed something better and and treated my condition on the spot. I’m always hesitant to see a doctor because I assume that they’re just out for money and don’t really care about helping people. Because there’s no money in good health. And this particular eye doctor reinforced that suspicion. Go anywhere else but here if you want to actually be helped. Not to the mention the front desk receptionist sounded like she hated her job. Total I had to pay to be given a prescription I didn’t need: $166
Doctors are wonderful, staff is incredibly helpful and super friendly. They always keep me AND my eyes on track :)
I’ve been a client for many years and I am very pleased with the service. Dr Dixon is amazing! He’s always looking for the best solution for my condition. Front desk are very respectful and professional, specially Sonia Velazquez. The optical area is always very clean and organized. The optical staff are very friendly and professional, Phyllis, Carlos, and Mathew are very patient with the clients. So I really recommend Eye Specialists of MidFL 100%!!!

My wife was using her own frames, which were brand new. Its amazing how quickly they were lost, then found then lost again. Then the hurricane came. Now we have to deal with a different office. Still can't locate my wife's frames. This company really sucks. One star is too much for them. Do yourself a huge favor.... Go some place else and save the headaches.
I recently responded to this survey negatively since ithad been over a month since I ordered new glasses. After the post I was contacted by the office to say they left a voice mail a week earlier. Indeed there was a voice mail that I neglected to review. I have my new glasses, the improvement is outstanding and I apologize for jumping to the wrong conclusion
Horrible customer service the receptionist it's like they hate their jobs and get pay to make things difficult. They never know what your talking about, they never have an answer, they just brush to the side. They don't know anything about your record or anything. The contacts specialist it's very nice I feel like she is the only one who enjoys her job. Im considering taking my business elsewhere.
The staff were extremely helpful. I took three small children at the same time including myself. Maybe its because my children were well behaved but each child was treated with great respect. The eye staff did forget to call and advise that my glasses were ready but that's a minor technicality as we are all human. I would recommend this office to anyone.
I had a 9am appointment today, showed up and was initially impressed with how they handled the COVID care and patient waiting, however that changed quickly. Upon being checked in the receptionist (Bleive he name was Sonji) was "gruff" to be put polity, they do not greet you with care and seems like they are upset to be there in my opinion. The biggest factor was that I asked what any and all expected charges would be. Sonji twice denied me that and stated, "we will charge at the end of the visit," I said thats fine but I need to know what the charges could be, I am not going to blindly accept a visit but not know what charges may incure, she very rudely stated the doctor will go over that. I then explained that in no form will I visit with any doctor prior to at least knowing expected max charges, she then left with a huge sigh to let me know she was perturbed. At this point I made up my mind that todays visit was not going to work due to their ability to try and deny me twice an explanation of charges. I had read that this staff at this place is notorious for this style of behavior and they are dismissive, well it is true. There are a lot of eye care providers, maybe at some point when they get enough reviews on how we are the customers and that business need to stop thinking their doing us a favor and they lose business then they will change their tune, until then... on to finding a doctor who's front office staff cares.

The selection of frames at the Clermont, Fl location is very small. The Haines city location had a better selection. Both offices appear to be very dis-organised, both on the phone and with handling paperwork. I won't be trusting them in the future, due to the lack of care they had in handling details. 1) I received a call once that my "computer glasses" were ready for pickup. I had no such glasses. 2) They can't get my address right. - I corrected my address twice, once when I had an eye exam and once when I got glasses. It is comical how they still can't get it right. I just received a piece of mail with THREE wrong variations of my address on it. (One was handwritten on the outside, the other was the address printed on the invoice, and the third was the changes made with pen.) 3) This invoice was for $10. It was due to a miscalculation. I got a couple pairs of high end glasses. After they already received around $540 from my Flexible Spending Account and whatever VSP insurance pays them. They spent their time trying to collect $10! Most offices would acknowledge the error and write the $10 off. Instead they use my the mangled address they have for me and keep making changes to it. (City, Apartment Number, Zip Code.) Four months later they eventuality found a combination that was close enough. Now that I have the invoice the check for $10 is in the mail. They may be $10 richer now, however they lost a customer due to poor customer service.

I can’t rate more than one star because I’ve yet to be seen. When I arrived for my appointment at 8:00 AM, being the first person in, I checked in. I sat and waited for 15 minutes until the receptionist called me over to inform me that “Dr. Smith isn’t in today. We tried to call you. Is XXX-XXX-XXXX your number?” Yes, yes it is. I have no missed call, no message. “Well, if you really need to be seen today, we can see you at 11:30.” If I didn’t need to be seen, I wouldn’t be here. But I also have a job, which I’ve alresdy rearranged so I could be here. I can’t be back in three hours. The lack of concern shown by the reception staff was the main issue. Maybe hire some people who care and can show compassion when they screw up, because the person here today seems to be missing that skill.
My husband developed an issue with his right eye. We called and were told to come right in, we were seen within 20 minutes. Dr. Benson was very kind, knowledgeable, and professional. All the staff we had contact with were pleasant and helpful. We definitely recommend Dr. Benson and her staff.
I've been waiting almost a month now for my glasses and still haven't gotten them!! I was originally told it would take 2 weeks. Only after leaving several voice messages and an email, was I finally contacted by an employee (3 weeks after I ordered the glasses)who gave me excuses about issues with the order and blatantly lied to me about when I could expect to be able to pick up my glasses. This is the worst experience I've ever had with an optometry office.
First time foing to Eye Specialists. Robert was very informative about the products available and our insurance. Highly recommend this location.
Overall terrible experience! The Dr was old and forgot I was sitting there and when turned back to me from the computer got scared and said "oh your in here". I don't even feel like I had an actual exam.. then they ordered the wrong contacts and said they'd deliver them. Now I'm getting calls to pick them up after going there to drop off the wrong contacts.. still don't have my contacts!
A very positive experience. The phone staff were very professional and helpful and patient when I called to make a new patient appointment for my husband. The ladies at the front desk were all very pleasant and knowledgeable both at check in and checkout. Marcy was our technician and provided an outstanding work up. Dr. Corkin was OUTSTANDING. I would NOT GIVE THEM 1 STAR IF IT WERE possible to write the review. This clinic mis-diagnosed me 3 times waste of time and money.NO CARE GIVEN AT THEESE LOCATIONs and got proper care only when I went elsewhere!!
Terrible place. The staff seems insensitive. Just completely incompetent. Will never ever go back. Doesn't deserve the one star. Deserves to be shut down. They need new check-in staff.
Very poor experience. They lost my chart. 2 hours in the waiting room. Asked for a manager and they said they didn't have one. Gave me a corporate number which is only an appointment line.
Had an appointment at 11:45 am. I'm the only person there to see a doctor. The doctor was nearly one hour behind. Really?! I have never had to wait this long at an eye clinic to get an eye exam. Even as a walk-in, I've seen the doctor with shorter waits. I will not be back! Staff was flat and not very welcoming to a new patient.
After my exam I went to another facility to order new glasses to discover they printed the wrong Rx from 3 years ago. Fortunately I reviewed it while ordering new glasses. Upon returning to the eye docs office I was told it would be an hour or so for the doc to return and correct the Rx. I paid for a contact exam and again went to the other facility to order my glasses and contacts only to realize it was only a Rx for glasses. I lost my glasses and needed contacts ASAP as my glasses would not be ready for 10 days. I returned once again to be told I had to have contact lens recheck. They moved my appointment up to Tuesday at 2:00 When I arrived a week later I was told I had a 1230 appointment. I rescheduled the appointment and when I got home I clearly had an appointment card that stated 2:00 pm not 12:30. All of this info was stated to the 3 front desk personnel. SMH a comedy of errors for a medical office.
I don't understand the negative reviews. The staff are very professional and friendly. The wait time was short and Dr Loewy is a excellent doctor and I was seen post op by Dr. Dixon who is also top notch.
I absolutely love this place! From the girls at the front desk to the very end of my visit, everyone I came across was top notch! Sonja, Betty, Dr. Benson and Cindy were all so very sweet and helpful! I recommend this office to everyone who asks! I owned my own business for years and great customer service was what I drilled into my employees head. These girls actually seem to enjoy their jobs and each other. I’m very blessed to find an eye doctors office that doesn’t treat me like a dollar sign…I’m treated like family!
I've been a patient of Dr. Aly Sheraly, glaucoma specialist, since 2018. Not only he but all the staff, including technicians and administrative, are very professional, courteous and willing to give their best care. My last appointment was on Sept 13, 2021 and everything was great: front desk, waiting time, tests, consultation and checkout. A special recognition to Ms. Cynthia at checkout, she alerted me I could use my health insurance (not vision) to cover consultation and tests, saving me a lot of money. If you need good care of your eyes and live in South west metro Orlando, I highly recommend Eye Specialists of Mid Florida - Haines City.

Wow! What a GREAT AND POSITIVE experience!!! I could not be happier with the group of people at the Eye Specialists of Mid Florida. I could do back flips, but I won’t because I would probably hurt myself extensively. Everyone from the receptionists to to Dr. Dixon and Matthew Dravis were more then helpful and attentive. I'm going to tell everyone I know about the Haines City location. #onehappycustomer

had cataract surgery on left eye on Nov. 7 wk. later right eye...this is Feb.7th. I still can not get glasses...I had an infection for 2 months. or longer...went back to Eye Specialist in Winter Haven twice a week.. when I complained..Dr. said .."YOU DONT HAVE TO COME IN" !! wow...I still cant see good .very difficult and dr. in Haines City office said now I have to have Laser surgery. ...UNHAPPY IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!

I saw many negative reviews before my March of 2019 appointment. I decided since I already had an appointment scheduled, I’d give them a chance. What a pleasant surprise it was! Everyone was very friendly and professional. Since I’m a type 2 diabetic I need yearly eye exams. It was probably the most thorough eye appointment I’ve ever had. They even took me on time.
My wife went in with two pairs of progressive lenses, one reading and one for distance. Had her eyes examined and they looked at her old glasses and even told her that her prescription hadn't changed very much. She picked out her frames and they told us they would take about two weeks to get in. Picked them up and she could no see out of them. They had,on there own written the new prescription for regular lenses. Bottom line it was now going to cost us 225 dollars to fix their mistake. Had it been done right initially the insurance would have covered it. They apologized for the error but did nothing else to fix their mistake. They agreed it wasn't right but did nothing help. Be careful going there all smiles till there's a problem.
I am very unhappy with the service I received here. I have come to this place 3 times and paid a large co payment each time to be told each time that they don't know why my eye is not responding to the treatment but keep rescheduling me to collect my money and do nothing. Took a prescription in and bought frames and ordered lens. Took 3 weeks to get them. I had to call to see if they were there although I had given them my phone number. When I went in to pick them up and get them adjusted, I was handed them and told to go home and check them out. I wear progressive bifocals and could not read from them. These had a very short space for distance and the rest was intermediate and bifocals. Took them back and they said they had adjusted them correctly and sent for another set of lens. Took another 3 weeks (was lied to and said it was a rush order). Same results Told I just wasn't used to them. I have worn progressive bifocals for over 40 years. This place needs to be shut down. Nobody knows what they are doing. Receptionists were horrible too. Just got my money back.
I have seen all the doctors here through the the past 10 years. Always been treated great. Never had any issues, and they get bonus points for laughing at my corny jokes.

the intake nurse was really friendly and explained everything as she did it. The doctors were really kid friendly for my 10 year old. The people on the frames section could be more attentive.
I purchase the progressive glasses for me from this location not you never told me if I don't like them because it's my first time it will be only exchange no money back so I tried them for a week I could not do it so when I bring it back the manager for the store he told me they will change it for me but I cannot have no refund I don't recommend this place to nobody nobody it's my first time doing Progressive they should be telling the customer because it's your first time this is the challenge that you got to be having if you don't like them or you got any problem with them and you would like to exchange them we cannot give you any money back it will be only exchanged but they never told me that in the beginning if they do a wheelchair and I will buy only the regular one
Had a 8:50 appointment get there and because system was compromised they don’t have me on schedule. Couldn’t fit me in until 12! Ridiculous and have been a patient since 2005. We’ll time for a new doctor for my family.
I was not sure if I wanted to try this place after reading some of the negative reviews, but it was not too bad. Most of the people where very nice, and I had no problems at all. Very satisfied.
The doctors and staff at Eye Specialists of Mid Florida located in Haines City are always wonderful. The doctor's are very knowledgeable and friendly. Appointments are not rushed. The office staff are always smiling and helpful. The eye glass technicians do a thorough job to ensure the right fit. Also, an excellent selection of glasses to chose from. Thank you for taking such good care of my family!
