Always helpful and responsive staff in the front offices and the actual eye doctors are top notch. Good selection of glasses and there are always enough staff members to assist you with your selection process. Both my wife and I, and our two daughters have been going to them since 2008. Never had a bad experience.

I’ve purchased prescription eyeglasses at several of the big-box stores and vision centers at the malls; but since I’ve always had a difficult time finding wide enough frames that fit comfortably. I decided to try a private practice in hopes of getting more personalized service. I chose Dr. Taylor and Associates; and I’m happy to say that their service was very good, and very much met my expectations. My eye exam was completed by Dr. Baran. She was pleasant, professional, and thorough; and overall the eye exam seemed comparable to exams I’ve had elsewhere. The staff who assisted me with choosing a frame was outstanding. They had more large-size frames to choose from than the providers I’ve used in the past. The staff was very knowledgeable about the selection of frames available, and provided me a lot of guidance choosing the best frames for fit, appearance, and comfort. Becky in particular was very patient while fitting my new glasses. I would highly recommend Taylor and Associates for glasses and eye exams. Great personalized service!

i've been going here for years. it is a private practice resulting in a family friendly cozy feel. the staff has mostly remained the same. the staff is helpful and friendly. i've never had any issues and have always experienced great customer service. please don't pay attention to the other google review. unfortunately the credit card machine was down and they won't release your information without payment based on your insurance plan. it is inconvenient but it happens. i'm sure a retail store wouldn't let you leave with merchandise if the credit card machine was down and you had no alternative payment...

The staff seemed nice enough, but I was never seen after waiting 45 minutes and decided to leave. Also, I was asked by staff to put a MASK on my 16-month old, which is NOT in line with any CDC guidelines (and in fact poses more harm than good!) In the days of COVID and not being able to touch anything, being expected to sit with a 16-month old child for 45 minutes for a 5-minute exam is not practical. No one told me there was a significant wait, and no one seemed apologetic. I was told to play outside with my child in 100 degree weather with a heat advisory. I'll take my business elsewhere, where appointment times can be honored (I understand 15 minutes or so, but this was significant).

Highly recommend Ellicott City Total Eye Care! Dr. Taylor is as knowledgeable as she is compassionate. The vision therapy team is fantastic with children. And the glasses specialists and staff are attentive, professional, and so very friendly.

The one postitive was a thorough eye exam. Ordered contacts and glasses. Had to initiated call to see if lenses were in. Waited almost 6 weeks for glasses calling for status on weekly basis- lab was backed up. Finally called VSP insurance. Rep told me frames were not at lab and they had trouble contacting lab, which they found suspicious. Staff should have been aware if they really checked on my glasses. Needless to say, cancelled glasses and not going back there. Staff is not to on the ball.

As long-time clients of this practice, we are increasingly displeased with the timeliness of service and follow-up by staff. While the eye exam is thorough, having a pair of glasses made from start to finish should not take over 6 weeks or more. And staff should follow up with client instead of only providing updates if and when the client calls. Additionally, full payment should not be required when glasses are ordered since it takes nearly 2 months to deliver the product paid for. Very disappointing!

Very poor customer service at the front desk - their credit card machine will not work and they did not give me the prescription because I didnt have cash. Will never visit this practice again
