I wasn't seen until 11:30 and the best that Dr Gum could say to me was "so sorry for the oversight" ! Janet came in and was called within 10 minutes Dr. GUM. But , I get the OVERSIGHT really! Never going back and I will be telling others.

Every time I try to do business here they double bill me and argue to the death they want more money. They quote you one price on the phone, then mysteriously charge more when you leave. You will never get anyone on the phone that knows what you’re taking about. Be forewarned, these people are morons!

From the reminder message confirming my appointment, to the check in & out, I felt like I was treated as a valued customer by a friendly, professional, Covid safe, staff. My wait to get started was a bit long, (+30mins) but the atmosphere felt good so I was okay. A suggestion would be, if it's going to be a longer wait, a staff member should/could address that with the customer. I would've been more at ease during the wait.

Very hard to get them on the phone for simple questions the main number is another office and when they transfer you it just rings and rings and you have to leave a message to be called back. Also I ordered my contacts to be shipped to me and the boxes were not marked left and right I feel like that should always be done especially when patients don't have a copy of their prescription like in my case. I do enjoy my time in the office and the doctor and screeners are very nice.

What a great feeling leaving this place...I had had a bad experience earlier the same day with their office in Leawood and so was not expecting the great service and care I received when driving out to Legends. I was pretty upset when heading out to the appointment because of the rudeness and lack of care that I had received from their office in Leawood just a few hours before. I was blown away by this place! Front desk was unbelievably friendly and I was in fast. The Dr’s assistant was kind and walked me through the process. And then Dr. Gum was the first Dr. I had seen in almost 10 years that took the time to explain my eye disease to me, to show me pictures and to answer any and all questions I had. They took their time, I was not rushed and we laid out a longer term plan for correcting my vision. This is the most relieved and comfortable I have felt about my sight in a long time. I was pretty sure during my drive out that this would be my one and only visit with them and now I will definitely be recommending the office Kansas City Ks to anyone who asks me. Thank you so much! I am very grateful!

On Saturday March 17th I called Discover Vision hoping to make an appointment for the following Monday. The woman I talked to (on the phone), went to task instantly on my behalf, as she apparently knew that I had a serious problem. My retina was about to be detached from my eyeball. This has been the worst eye experience I have ever had. First the Dr. rushed through the eye exam and when I picked up the glasses the prescription was worse than my old pair. She rushed through the 2nd exam as well. After recieving a call saying I could pick up my glasses for the 2nd time, they left me waiting for over 30 minutes before anyone offered to help me even though I was the only one in the waiting room. I only came here because they were through my insurance. I plan on going back to my former eye doctor even if I have to pay out of pocket. This place needs a better front desk manager and a standard operating procedure on how they process incoming clients. Each time I have come for the glasses side of the office there has been confusion about not seeing customers waiting. There is no receptionist like there is on the eye exam side. It's too bad they don't combine the receptionist for both sides. There was no wait time for the eye exam but to get glasses the wait time was 15-30 minutes each time. I even had people come in after me and get waited on before me at 1 of my 4 visits.

I planned on going to pick out some frames for my son today after work. I hurried to go pick my kids up and rush to get there before close. I arrived at 6:52 by the time I got in it was 6:54 the lady up front asked if I could pick them out in 6 minutes I said I can sure try and the lady who does the glasses fittings wanted to make it as clear as possible I wasn’t wanted there so when she got up to get her equipment she sighed/scoffed when she heard me say “I would sure try” after that I no longer wanted to stay. I told the lady at the front it was fine we clearly were not wanted there so we were just gonna go and I apologized that I came as soon as I could. Customer service was completely nonexistent today.
