You know that we don't usually bother to give feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Ophthalmologist is classified in the category of Hospital.
Everyone was friendly, patient, professional when my husband needed an emergent CT. The facility was clean and attractive, with a convenient pharmacy across the street to pick up medicine.
Great Service, really care about their patients and you can tell they love helping others.
Had lost of taste, sore throat and running nose for a week, I called red line for Covid, but the lady said "it's fine, is just cold" . I was trying to get tested for covid, I got a referral from my doctor, called them again, they told me to email the referral, and of course I did, it's already past almost two weeks but nobody called me or contacted me. Very sad that they don't care of the workforce of this town!
The patient financial services they always laugh at you, have bad tone when they speak to you that isn't the right way to treat customers!
Wow! Such a wonderful facility with top notch equipment. That is what you get living in the richest county in the U.S. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable in their work. Trained and well studied you can't beat medical care workers that love where they live. Had a great experience when in a terrible state and needing medical attention.
St. John's Medical Center with all their staff actually cares about people. A good friend of mine is in St. John's and has pnumonia. I have been a patient as well as my mother. So trust me, if you need medical help go there now! You will be treated as a part of a huge family!
I don't have time to tell you the story but Billing department is the worst. Not the people the company
I have had multiple surgeries and been to hospitals all around the world . This is by far the most friendly and professional place i have been. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality
Went here 3 weeks ago on an emergency room visit.I have had 6 or 7 seperate encounters with kidney stones and I am very familiar with what they feel like.I would like to start by saying all the doctors/nurses were very nice and caring. Now that that is out of the way I would very much like to stress that if it is not a deathly emergency stay away from here!As stated I have had a lot of experience with kidney stones/emergency room visits from them.I also am familiar with CT scans and the price a visit costs. Now the doctor could tell I have had them before and knew exactly what it was so no CT scan was done.I literally came in the ER told them I had kidney stones they made me pee in a cup, saw the blood in my pee, and gave me pain medicine and as per usual sent me with a prescription to help for a day or two and sent me on my way.As of today 02/20/20 I recieved my bill in the mail and I am straight mortified that my bill not only has the itemized breakdown of the visit completely blank, the Bill is for $3311.79.This is literally insane for what was done especially with no CT.I understand ST Johns has a Monopoly on the emergency room visits in Jackson Hole, but this level of pricing is u godly. My last kidney stone I had 2 seperate ER visits with a CT scan with each visit and about 9 hours of ER time between the two visits abd my bill was $3500.Considering that i was in and out of the ER in a little over two hours and had diagnosed myself, I really dont understand how max $100 worth of pain medicine makes the bill $3300!!! Was it $3200 to put an iv in?Like I said all tge doctors were very nice and all but who wouldnt walk around with a smile if your making $1400 an hour.I dont often use the word but I am completely flabbergasted at the billing and honestly the next kidney stone I have, I hope I dont get any infections or stones stuck because I literally cant afford even the pain relief treatment I was given.Very disappointing.
I work there and the staff and administration are the best!
Absolutely mind blowing to be in a hospital with fantastic staff, room service food, and care with dignity. My surgeon, Dr. Williams and anestiologist, PA and nurses all 5 star. Thank you.
Very caring and efficient care in the ER
Went there for a blood work for my 2 year old son and it was the worst heartbreaking experience. 3 lab assistants kept poking him 3 or four times and couldn't reach veins, ended up rupturing vis vein. For almost one hour none of the three people had a success and they had to call a lady from upstairs. Thanks God she got it done from the first time, I wish she was there at the beginning. It seemed like all these 3 people had barely any experience with children and they were just practicing on my child... Again huge thanks to the lady who came and got everything done in less than a minute, she was awesome, I wish I remembered her name! None of us would go there again..
The nurses, doctors and staff at St John's are wonderful, and competent I have only praises to say about their care. What I don't appreciate about St. John's medical is the extremely high fees when using the facility. Next time I will insist on surgery at the outpatient surgery center (TOPS, not affiliated with the hospital) to save THOUSANDS of dollars.
Amazing health care facility.
I came in with an injury from a ski racing accident! Everyone who was with me in the ER was absolutely amazing and helpful. My surgeon was stellar, and my injury is healing up super well! Thank you guys!
Outstanding care and staff. The nurses and doctors were excellent, they took amazing care of me and my unborn baby after an accident in Grand Tetons Park. I'm so thankful for everything they did to make us feel at ease in a scary situation. Thank you!
I was on vacation and needed to visit the ER. I had 3 kids with me & no other adult. I ended up needing surgery. The staff took care of me & my kids like we were their family. They went out of their way for us multiple times and it was with a glad heart...I never felt like we were a burden and we were unintentionally high maintenance. Without making this super long....the staff at St. John's is a blessing, I was so lucky! Andy, Ellen, Cody, Jody, Dr. Morgan, Dr. Morgan, the surgery team, the receptionist, my after surgery nurse (sorry, I can't remember everyones name). It was the best experience and I wish I could really show my gratitude to the degree the staff deserves! Thank you! Thank you so much for all the kindness & the ice water (lol).
I thought I got a hep b shot there for my work (that's what I was told was happening at the time) My work should have been billed, but now they claim that I never received a hep b shot there, so I don't know what they shot into my arm, and they went ahead and billed me instead of my work. For a hep b shot. Which they supposedly never gave me.
All of the staff and clinicians at St. John are wonderful. They show compassion, have excellent assessment skills. They listened to my concerns and created a treatment plan that quickly resolved my condition. Calvin Schenk PA has a wonderful bedside manner and is a skilled modern but also old fashioned practitioner. thank you.
Fast, efficient er services. Plus they were really nice and professional.
As a resident here in Jackson. Best doctors/Staff I've ever had.
I was brought Into the ER by rescue squad from Jackson Lake Lodge. We were there celebrating our 50th Anniversary. I woke up the day we were to leave and drive back to Ohio, when I could not form a sentence. My first thought, I had had a stroke. I was met in ER by Chris an RN, who started the ball rolling in the events of the next 24 hours. I was very impressed by his kindness and professionalism. The doctor in ER, I have forgotten his name but not his long white hair, began ordering tests and ruling things out at a quick pace. Test number one ruled out a stroke. Blood work showed my Potassium had dropped as had my O2 level. By early afternoon I was admitted to the hospital and was surrounded by very kind and caring nurses and staff. For the next 24 hours they guided me back to feeling normal. There were words of encouragement and comfort, which I really needed. The staff also treated my husband, Don, with kindness. They arranged a room in the small hotel, owned by St. John’s Medical Center across the street which was much appreciated. The cost $45 per night. I was discharged the following afternoon with two loaves of homemade bread and again words of encouragement by Terrie an RN, one of the nicest women I ever met. The next day my phone rang in the car, it was Terrie checking up on me. It brought tears to my eyes, The Social Worker, again name forgotten, made sure that my medical reports were sent to my primary doctor in Ohio. His office called and we set up an appointment on the day I got home. I truly can not say enough about this experience and how positive it was. Thanks to everyone who helped me get back on my feet so far from home. I smile when I think of each and every one of you. Plus the absolutely beautiful scenery, WOW! Diane and Don Clement Wooster, Ohio
Had to cancel a needed surgery there due to some archaic and inflexible rules concerning surgical practices and pre-op. You would think they would follow current standard of care.
I love to give you 5stars because staffs, nurses and doctors were very helpful and friendly. Thank you for your service
I recently received care at St. John's for hernia repair and couldn't be more pleased with the experience. There was no waiting upon walking into the ER. I was diagnosed quickly and in surgery within hours. The doctors, nurses and all staff encountered were amazingly kind and caring. I was especially impressed with the attentiveness of the nurses. Everyone seemed to go the extra mile to make sure I felt comfortable and taken care of. The food is the best hospital food you will probably ever have as an added bonus.
My partner has been getting his MM Protein pathology report at St. John's for over a year now and there always seems to be some kind of confusion. At first the lab orders that were faxed over wouldn't be found and in the past few months the lab techs seem confused as to what labs need to be taken. It's unsettling and concerning since this is a very important test to determine if his MM protein has spiked. This month of December it was ordered and not taken. When we arrived at his appointment in Idaho Falls we checked in and were told they hadn't received the test results. When they finally got in touch with someone at St. John's the oncology nurse was told they never ran the MM protein test. We have now lost confidence in St. John's to be able to provide this service accurately. We want to continue to get our labs at St John's but we need to know that we are getting accurate results for our cancer treatment, Do better St John's don't offer this service if you can't provide accurate pathology services for your patients, it's a safety issue. Don't play with people's lives, we are not a number.
The doctor was very knowledgeable about my case!
Compared to other hospitals in our region St John’s is the absolute best. The physicians take their time and answer your questions The urgent care is always top notch. I would rather take the trip from Star Valley to go here. Knowing I am receiving the best care that is local and available to me
ER staff delivered great care and showed warm levels of bedside manner. I was impressed!
Was on vacation and ended up in the ER with breathing issues. Testing positive for COVID and had to quarantine . Without St. Johns helping us get into the hitching lodge we would have been forced to get on the road and possibly spread COVID due to the high costs everywhere else in city. The St. Johns group and the Wy health dept could not have been better to work with . Pleasant experience in an unpleasant experience. Thank you
The staff at Emerg-A-Care branch of St. John's were HORRIBLE to work with. I was trying to understand what they needed and as a result, asked a lot of questions, which I understand can be frustrating. But the fact that they completely disregarded me and HUNG UP ON ME in the middle of me asking a question speaks VOLUMES about what they really care about. I would NEVER send my drivers there for any sort of testing. Get it together, you work in PUBLIC HEALTH. Be nicer to the PUBLIC. If I could give no stars, I absolutely would.
Good hospital
Nice and best !
I was brought here by ambulance a couple of days ago due to an abnormal heart rhythm, which I have a history of, but this time was unusual in that it didn’t revert back on its own. I was initially a little skeptical just because it’s a tiny hospital (compared to what I’m used to anyway), but they were great. Calm, confident, willing to listen, and even consulted my cardiologist group. After trying a few things, they got my rhythm fixed. Upon discharge, we were referred to the ‘hitching post’.. a lodge where we stayed overnight for a very reasonable rate (we missed our original flight out). Pleased with the care I received.
We’ve had all 3 of our little girls here and each time has been great! Ali, Mallory, Julia, and Ashley all took care of us in the birthing center. The layout of the place is nice as well. Good amount of room in the facilities. Clean, comfortable and the cafeteria has good food! The massage after birth and the steak dinner make for an unreal experience! We had Dr. Giovinini and Dr George, both excellent! Thank you everyone at St. Johns- The Lackner Family
I have needed to be in this hospital twice this summer. The staff here is very skilled and caring.
I there and they are so nice and the er dr is one od the best i got here about a hour a go and about to go soon thanks guys great job
Had two Lumbar epidurals in the month of June and everything went smoothly. Just to doubly ensure that the placement of the steroid was 100% accurate the first time, the anesthesiologist called in a radiologist to look at the pictures. Having my 3rd and final lumbar injection in 10 days and wouldn't consider going anywhere else. A first rate hospital.
I came to the ER by ambulance from the Grand Teton park clinic. I had shortness of breath, which turned out to be caused by blood clots and a pulmonary embolism. I can't say I enjoyed my stay but I did feel that I was in very capable hands the whole time. Here's a shout out to the great nurses (Diana, Ellie, Rob, Lauren and Anne) who took good care of me.
Great doctors fast referals very clean. Great staff
The care we received at St John's was excellent. The nursing care was stellar and the medical excellent. I was able to go home and rest well knowing my loved one was well cared for. That is not true in most other hospitals I have had family members or friends in. The staff was extremely responsive, caring and knowledgeable.
Outstanding care from both the nurse and Dr Johnson! We came into the ER in the middle of the night, received prompt care and a diagnosis. The staff were incredibly sensitive to our long commute back to our camping spot and offered a bed for me to sleep for a few hours so that I wouldn’t be forced to drive my loved one back through the nearby national park when I was so tired! So thoughtful!
I took my daughter to St. Johns medical center because she fell during a soccer game and hurt het tail bone. I have received 3 bills from the hospital totaling over $1300.00 and feel that they take advantage of people because of the small town and lack of other facilities. I paid the first bill which I received from the Hospital which was $750.00 and felt that it was a bit expensive, but paid it and thought that was it. Now I received two seperate bills for an additional $550. I feel like this is a complete set up and they make you feel like you have paid your bill and then all of a sudden they continue to send you additional bills. I would avoid this Hospital.
I use to love this hospital but it’s seems anytime I take my kids in or myself I am treated like a kid or like I’m just stupid! The ER doctors I feel are just rude and do not listen. I feel just cause they are doctors they are right and you wrong, when it shouldn’t be that way. Just poor listening skills!
Exceptional and unreal experience! In Aug 2017 I got in St John's Medical Center with a bad foot infection. The care I received there was absolutely exceptional and memorable! Thank you very much Dr. Bullington, Dr. Greenbaum, Dr. Turner, Registered Nurses Laura, Deisy, Karen, Hanna, Kimberly, David, Charge Nurse Jen, and all the staff of this wonderful hospital! More details: ER: After zero wait time I was checked by RN and few min later Dr. J. Greenbaum examined my foot, diagnosed infectious inflammation, took culture samples, and ordered an immediate infusion of antibiotics which was started right away. In a little while orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Bullington examined the foot, opened up the abscess locally, and cleaned it out. Then I was transferred to Primary Care Unit. Primary Care Unit: From the moment I was transferred I received not only exceptional attention and care from all the nurses, but also a very warm, kind, and sincere attitude like I was their relative! It was unbelievable! And I'm actually glad I had an opportunity to meet such wonderful people! While doing their job they didn't rush and still found time to talk to me, to check if I needed anything, and to help keeping me comfortable and sleeping well. And Charge Nurse Jennifer was really in charge and on top of things. Dr. Bullington visited me daily to follow up on the healing progress even though it was a weekend and he wasn't working. Dr. Turner attended last two days of my stay and ensured smooth discharge and clear instructions on next steps. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. Food was a restaurant grade with variety and quality you would never expect in a hospital. Thank you all for such an experience!
I went to St John's medical Center February 2018 when I was on vacation and got into a snowmobile accident. the person in charge of billing filed my insurance incorrectly and then it became untimely filing leaving me to the bill in full. As many of us know when medical facilities are dealing with insurance is there are write-offs with in-network or out-of-network that are provided towards the patient you would have thought at least do to their error and finally my insurance correctly I would have at least got those discounts or write-offs. Almost two years later trying to work with them they have now sent me to collections. I would not recommend this facility as all they did was give me stitches. I had no x-rays and was not even checked for a concussion. After getting home my local provider said I had a pretty serious concussion along with a vitreous detachment in my left eye.
Was baited and switched into receiving service from the on-site anesthesiologist who wound up being an out-of-network provider. I called St. John's and went to St. John's for the appointment, but got a surprise $900 bill from Grand Anesthesiology in Idaho Falls. Called the hospital and they said there was nothing they could do. Thanks for the heads up!
This is by far the best hospital my mom and I have ever been to, and we have been to A LOT! First we were seen in the emergency room and they were quick and caring. Later the next week the issue got worse and we ended up having to bring my mom in for emergency surgery and everything went so smoothly! It was so nice to not have to beg for pain relief for my mom after her surgery! The entire staff was kind, courteous, and just plain fabulous! Thank you so much for making this as stress free as possible, you are all truly rockstars.
Its location, east of the town square, out of the way of most tourist traffic is nice. Parking is easy and there are multiple entrances, so getting to offices is reasonably easy if you know which door to use. The building is well maintained and clean.
I was admitted through the ER, had surgery and spent two days at St John's. Every person I interacted with was professional and courteous. My surgeon was fantastic and three of my four nurses were memorably great! The PT and OT staff were also awesome. Thank you for the wonderful care when I needed it most!
I'd give more stars if I could! Great hospital, great medical team who actually like what they do. I'm a flatlander from Atlanta (home of some exceptional hospitals) and one day after climbing the Tetons, I had a Gallstone rear its ugly head while camping. My Brother rushed me to the ER and the compassionate, resourceful and professional staff took it from there. I had my Gallbladder removed by a fantastic surgeon (Dr. Rosenburg) and I am now on the mend. I cannot say enough about this facility and the staff. Exemplary experience! Thank you all!!!
I visited Jackson hole Jan 2...I'm an experienced skier. Unfortunately my binding should have released and didn't. I got an MRI and was told torn ACL, MCL, LCL, medial retinaculum, 3 torn calf muscles, partially dislocated knee. I was given a non supportive knee sleeve. Back home in Denver my Ortho surgeon said the MRI report didn't make sense. I had a second MRI done to discover the only truth was the torn ACL and what they didn't see on their MRI was a tibia plateau fracture. Ridiculous. I worried and remained improperly treated until Feb 12
Mother in law got Covid and they denied her the Regeneron because she was not sick enough. They wanted her so sick she had to go to the hospital! Such a sad situation!
I had two outpatient surgeries, two emergency room visits and two inpatient surgeries with three overnights in the hospital at SJMC over the past couple of weeks for some very difficult urinary issues. I was very pleased with the professionalism, the quality of care and the team dynamics among the nurses, doctors, and staff. But my most vivid memories will be of the true spirit of caring and support shown to me and my wife in our time of real need. Thank you all.....you will not be forgotten.
Do not under any circumstances use St Johns medical care. St Johns refused to bill my insurance for urgent medical treatment received, instead going after me personally to pay it out-of-pocket. They were unable to provide a reason why, despite repeated inquiries. Fast forward a few months and they're threatening to send my account to collections - all because of their own inability to send a bill to the right P.O. box. EDIT: 1 month later, I eventually paid out-of-pocket - despite being in the right - because I can't afford to have it go to collections, and St. Johns has far more resources to fight than I do. When I was charged however, St Johns failed to apply the 25% discount we had negotiated - AND failed to send a receipt as promised for the payment. The only way I found out that they'd overcharged me is by reviewing my credit card statement. Bottom Line: If you use St Johns, expect to be taken financial advantage of. Unless something is truly life-threatening, go somewhere else.
