IF I could give Dr. Theodore Sauer and his entire team more stars I would. Clinical trial hubs, patient of MGH, is traveling every week from NYC to Boston for his treatments and needed an emergency visit. Dr. Sauer moved mountains, up to and including calling my husband from his car, knowing hubs was pumped up full of chemo and taking Amtrak hundreds of miles with just a few minutes to spare before departure. Everyone on Dr. Sauer's team, from receptionist to assistant to colleague, went out of their way to treat this dire emergency with grace, professionalism, and urgency. Now if I could only convince this team to relocate to NYC......

This is by far one of the best places to get and have maintained eyeglasses. The quality of their works top notch, and while they are sensitive to your wallet, they won't let you leave without the right set of glasses at the right price for you. I highly recommend them, and i have 40 years of experience with eye glasses!!!!

Had my eyelids done by Dr. Hatton. I was a nervous wreck. I'm a nurse so I asked one of the nurses the day I arrived to please check me in quickly she was wonderful . I felt well cared for and Dr Hatton is exceptional. I now need to have my cataract removed and again I'm nervous I have faith that all will work out well and am planning my visit now. Thanks

I’ve struggled significantly with this group. While the provider I saw was professional, I ordered contacts and had multiple miscommunications from the staff and had to physically go into the clinic to reach anyone: the contacts I ordered had been there for months and only were located when I specifically went into the practice and had them look in their storage room. When I tried to call back recently to locate my prescription so I could order contacts from a third party (given my experience ordering contacts from them before), I was on hold for over 30 minutes—no one ever picked up the phone and eventually I gave up. I would urge anyone who is looking for a routine eye appointment to seek care elsewhere.

So far this practice has been less than satisfactory. While I am sure they have great doctors here, it took me 2 months to get assessed for cateract surgery. I have been waiting 3 weeks now for an appointment to get surgery which they are telling me they are booking in February and March. Every time I have called I get "we are going to give you an appointment soon". Well soon was two weeks ago. There doesn't seem to be any empathy or appoligies when I called to let them know that my eye sight is deterioriating. It has been a frustrating and scary process. 11/30/21 update. I finally got a call for surgery appt for end of Jan and second eye in March with all the follow up appts. I got a call back after 10 minutes of the call pulling all the dates because I am on Mass Health. They don't take Mass Health for surgeries. I had to wait a month for you to figure this out!!? Now I am waiting again. Truly incompetent service.

I got an email from your clinic to call the 1 800 number to make an appointment and it doesn’t work.. then when you try to go to the website it sends you somewhere different.. idk ????????‍♀️ What is going on .. but this is too much

They check your eyes like a factory. Tried to get a copy of my eyeglass prescription six months later and they wouldn't give it to me. They said it was in my patient portal. It isn't. There is only a prescription from 3 years ago! They won't email or US mail it to me. I definitely would avoid this place. It's close by so I go, but I'm not thrilled with the service. Also, don't try to call - after a big long spiel on the phone, you have to sit and wait and wait and wait and wait.

My name is David Rossin, I'm patient of this GREAT organization for over 5 years, my Dr. is Mr. S. Taylor and recently I got cataract surgery for both eyes by Dr. Shingleton. He and his team are GREAT and PROFESIONAL!. At the same time, before second surgery I was in waiting room for almost 3 hours, b/c secretaries, organizers, waiting room were not ready to accommodate such number of people, scheduled for surgery at the same time. I paid for parking ~$50 and when I asked for reimburse, office manager explain me: "We're not own the garage". Later on I got calls from central office and one of the doctors w/promise to reimburse, but it's still as promise...

I would like to re-review OCB. i recently had surgery to have cataracts removed from my right eye. i was an extremely nervous patient. Dr Sauer and his team were outstanding and made me feel quite comfortable. Finally, after 60 years, I no longer need glasses. I can't wait to have my other eye done.

I am very impressed with the care I receive here!

possibly one of the worst eye care services,

I'm a patient of Dr. Raizman. The waiting time is too long everytime I visited. More than one hour. I hope the dr. can decrease the number of patients daily so his patients don't need to wait so long outside.

This is the best group of ophthalmic physicians in the state - probably the entire East Coast. It's unfortunate that there isn't a way to separate reviews of the administrative section from those for the medical doctors. My husband and I were referred to them by another physician and we've found every single doctor our family has seen to be outstanding. It would be sad for someone just glancing at reviews to conclude that the medical care isn't first rate, because they'd be missing out on superb medical care. The admin section, on the other hand, needs serious improvement. And no, I'm not related to anyone working at OCB.

Obtained a pair of glasses from the optical shop that did not end up being as advertised. I returned the glasses at the end of Jan and still have not had my benefits reinstated yet. As a result, I have been without a new pair of glasses and unable to use my benefits for the last almost 6 months. 13 phone calls to the company later, I finally was able to find someone to start the process of reinstating my benefits. Would not recommend anyone coming to this optical shop.

Less than one star. If you dont want service call them. Cancel appointments 4 days before? That's what they do. Answer the phone? Hahaha Dont bother. Had a family doctor for 20 years until they took over. Phttttth...
