Ive had some middling experiences with optometrists in the past. No so with Dr. Gill. I brought up my concerns and he blew me away by identifying the reasons for my issues. I had a eye exam 3 minths earlier with another optometrist. The other optometrist said my eyes were fine and gave me the same perscription as last time. I went to Dr. Gill for a second opinion and he completely changed my perscription. He also told me that my eyes are really dry and i probably sit next to a computer all day (which i do). My new perscription is great and ive been hydrating my eyes with Systane. Thanks Dr. Gill.

eyeLABS is an excellent clinic to deal for your eye health care. Dr Maharaj is just awesome!! I have been going there for 4 years & have always received excellent care. The staff & the Dr are very caring & knowledgeable. i have been treated with respect as soon as i walk in the door.They are very accommodating with appt times & will fit you in. All questions are always answered with patience. They take time to make sure you understand the treatment. I would not go anywhere else because of the wonderful results I always get to any eye problem I have. i would highly recommend eyeLABS to anyone looking for eye care!!

I was referred to the dry eye clinic by my regular optometrist and so far my experience has been very positive. The last appointment I had I called to confirm that everything was still good because the weather was lousy and things were being cancelled and closed all over.. They said they couldn't find my appointment, but they got me in to see the doctor that day anyways. I appreciated that very much seeing as how I was coming from Barrie. The doctor also made sure I had everything I needed until my next appointment, which I also appreciate. I'm very glad I decided to come here because my condition has improved quite a bit. The front desk staff have all been helpful and nice. I would recommend this clinic to others, for sure!

Extremely rude staff. It seems the staff are either racist to the extreme and think that all brown people are idiots. Front desk simply doesn't know how to talk with decency and will treat you like a fool. Both the front desk ladies have some serious attitude problem. They will almost force you to buy few services which are not covered under OHIP, and if you question them why it is required at all, then they will talk with you as if you are a fool. The way they talk and tone is extremely rude and sarcastic. For my mother eye surgery, they recommended at least three appointments prior to final appointment for decision and then the date of surgery. Moreover, if you asked why so many appointments then again staff will talk in a very rude tone. I am just done with this rudeness and constant insult. Here i see a lot of 5 star rating, I doubt its true. may be most of them are either friends are relatives of the staff. Or may be its only for the doctors.

Dr. Richard Maharaj may be a good doctor but he is not professional at all he force us to purchase glasses next door and they are too expensive and he pushes too much to purchases from the next door, may be he is getting some commission from there, who knows. Perfect reviews: some thing is wrong, They are from families or friends not a true reviews. He should stay professional and do his job and let the client decide where they have to go for their glasses.

EyeLabs Optometry has been an eye saver for me, for which I am extremely grateful. After years of pain and distorted vision, Dr. Maharaj and his stellar staff have been instrumental in providing a degree of comfort and visual acuity which I thought had been lost. The Lipiflow treatment was the catalyst that made this possible and has kept my oil glands from deteriorating further while helping to improve my vision. I would highly recommend this procedure to others distressed by the effects of dry eye symptoms, and who may have, as did I, tried other approaches unsuccessfully. Without this treatment, my life as a musician and artist would have been seriously affected if not made impossible. Dr. Maharaj is consistently caring, patient and professional and can provide alternative treatments to assist with this sometimes debilitating condition.

I found the staff so friendly and the Dr. was extremely thorough and knowledgeable. He took the time to answer all of my questions. I received more information than I ever have at an eye exam before. The Dr even gave me some suggestions and recommendations for my husband (who wasn't present) who has been having dry eye issues. My prescription is perfect and I couldn't be happier. I noticed the review before this one, its simply not accurate. I asked the staff (that are simply lovely) about where to buy glasses and they suggested a nearby store (which also has incredible service, excellent selection and great prices) No pushy sales going on there at all. I actually can't believe how pleasant the overall experience was. It's quite rare to get this kind of quality service today.

I am seeing Dr. R. Maharaj for the past 2 years. He is a very good Optometrist. He makes good diagnoses. He has state of the art equipment. Recently, as I was preparing to go on vacation, I had a problem with my eye. Dr. Maharaj gave me an emergency appointment and diagnosed the problem quickly. He gave me appropriate medication and protection for my eye. He also gave me the name and contact number for another optometrist in the area I was visiting, so I could have my eye checked to ensure it was healing properly. My experience at Eye Labs I would without hesitation rate it as a 5 star centre. From the time you arrive at the reception area you are greeted with courtesy and respect and a very true desire to help. From there the ophthalmological staff really take a pride in their entire approach, after all the tests they thoroughly explain the results and what the next steps would be. Dr. Richard Maharaj who is head of this facility have one of the best Optometry Clinics I have ever visited. I would have no hesitation in referring anyone to this facility.

Good and knowledgeable optometrist and very understanding and full of good advice. I have been going there for almost 10 years…. However when I missed one appointment due to an emergency the staff was very rude and wanted to charge me full price of appt…. I have never been late before or missed any appt . So they in essence caused their $70 missed appt fee to loose a customer for life. Very disappointing. Update: I have since been called by the office manager to discuss the issue. I guess there probably still needs to be some training of some staff to actually take into account personal circumstances rather than blindly sticking to the rules. That's the only reason I put 4/5 stars, Otherwise the clinical expertise and medical service is excellent.
