I've been a patient of Dr. Hager for years, and he's great; very thorough and friendly, the problem I have comes from the cost of buying glasses. Clearly it's all about the money, because the same glasses that I'd picked out in the office that I was quoted over $400 for, I got somewhere else for $280 out the door. I will never buy glasses in office for that reason. No complaints with Dr. Hager in the slightest.

I would definitely recommend Dr.Hagar and his team of professionals....as long as you are not struggling on disability. My bellow poverty income no longer allows me to have him as my doctor after years of going. A single person on ODSP gets about $850. a month to pay rent and everything! A couple as myself, get about$1600. For the past few years additional eye procedures were out of pocket for my diabetic husband. Now to find out that you want me to pay additional $85. to cover the exam that used to be totally covered by ODSP . I am so dam saddened that I have to hunt for another place to call mine. Everybody seems to want a piece of my check. It only goes so far. People who can't work are screwed yet again. First I lost my dentist because my coverage wasn't good enough and now this. Is my family doctor next too? When I worked as an office administrator, costs evened out through those with coverage. I need my money for basic survival costs, not for vacations, dance classes or hobbies.

Very happy with my first visit. Still awaiting my glasses but they were very helpful and patient while I went through the majority of the frames finding something I liked. Very thorough with their sanitization procedures. All frames were set aside and disinfected before being put back on display. Eye exam and doctor were thorough as well! Took the time to explain and ensure I knew exactly what was going on and what I did and didn't need.

We’ve only had positive experiences with the whole Erie Shores Eye-care Team. Both of my children 4 and 6 love Dr. Hager. He’s so kind and patient. Often stopping the treatment to answer my children’s silly questions or engage with them. He’s great with explaining everything and giving more than enough time to answer any questions you may have. They even allowed us to take home many pairs of frames to try out before deciding which ones to buy. So far we’ve only been happy with their whole team! The ladies at the front have smiles for us every time we’re there.

Dr. Hager is very patient with children. Both of my kids have seen him at a young age (4 and 5) and he did wonderfully with them. He takes time to explain every step and gives lots of time for questions of your own.
