What is the point of an appointment, if you waiting for more than 2 hours just to see the nurse. Unacceptable, avoid this place

The wrost clinic i ever seen we were flowing DR. NGUYEN for a year to get cataract surgery the vision get very foggy and we call them to tell them. We got the answer we cannot do anything. I highly recommend go to Lachine hospital dont waste your time at this clinic worst doctor and his team.

After several tests, he told me that I was fine and that I had nothing, he sent me home sick and without vision. the next day, I was hospitalized in the sacred heart for a serious vision problem. This doctor leaves this clinic a lot and I am thinking of taking legal action for it. (Original) Le docteur Chartrand m'a soigné pour une urgence. Après plusieurs tests, il m'a dit que j'allais bien et que je n'avais rien, il m'a renvoyé à la maison malade et sans vision. le lendemain, j'ai été hospitalisé au cœur sacré pour un problème sérieux de vision. Ce médecin quitte beaucoup cette clinique et je pense engager une action en justice pour cela.

(Translated) I am taking care of an elderly lady and I have to take her often to this clinic to see dear Dr. Chartrand. The poor lady is almost blind from her cataracts which he completely ignores. He gives her some drops and walks out the door. He never answers his questions. The lady is 90 years old, therefore, very vulnerable. I often go to this clinic because I accompany people. I watch him go and he really doesn't care about his customers! For my part, I consider it a system error! There is no room for people like him !!! (Original) Je m’occupe d’une dame âgée et je dois l’emmener souvent à cette clinique voir ce cher dr Chartrand . La pauvre dame est presque aveugle à cause de ses cataractes qu’il ignore complètement. Il lui donne des gouttes et passe la porte. Il ne répond jamais à ses questions. La dame a 90 ans donc, très vulnérable . Je vais souvent à cette clinique car j’accompagne des gens. Je le regarde aller et il se fou de ses clients carrément! Pour ma part, je le considère comme une erreur du système! Il n’a pas de place pour des êtres comme lui!!!

Very Bad phone service, on hold and no one has said a word to me yet, they are not polite to do this... They cant even say : please hold, they cut you off when you try to talk and explain anything. So unprofessional - i can hear them talk in the back ground and laugh and not even take care of my request.

You want to like a doctors office you visit and you want to be kind towards staff that are likely going through a rough time with the pandemic. But they make it hard. If I keep that in mind when I write this I’ll say: they were allowed to be saying what they were but the delivery was consistently aggressive. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by two receptionists that were upset I was holding a coffee. I assured them, however, that I’d simply hold it and obviously would not remove my mask to drink it! The receptionist in the background eyes me and dismisses what I had to say. So we moved on to processing my Medicare info when I got asked for my referral. It’s important to note that my referral was sent 3 months ago by my personal doctor! So I said let me call, I’ll see if they’ve sent it as it should be in your system! I gave his name and asked, “do you see, by chance, his name on my file?” To which they responded that they did and they had it but still needed me to have a physical copy regardless of their file. The doctors assistant got a bit confrontational when I said calmly that I thought it was unprofessional to not confirm appointment and clarify what we should bring with us, since it’s hard to contact them and they never requested such when I made the appointment. She told me to wait in the building downstairs (not in the doctors office) and that if they didn’t get a physical copy in 15 minutes that she’d cancel me. More happened and I feel as if I’ll just keep rambling but I’m trying to say that I didn’t feel comfortable staying there and giving them my money. I’m sure they didn’t intentionally mess with my day, and that they may have their own story, but to be a nurse and a doctor also requires bedside manner. I think it’s something a lot of us admire them for when they help us feel better! But the body language and way they spoke didn’t make me feel at ease so I chose to leave. I always question 1 star reviews and their validity but I think this place must be hit or miss, I was a miss.

I understand that some days are more busy than others but it still seems to be the case in this clinic (Original) Encore et encore plus de 2 heures d’attente! Mais quel est le but de donner une heure de rendez -vous? Et la rencontre avec l’ophtalmo ne dure que 2 à 5 minutes maximum car il est débordé. C’est définitivement mal géré. Je comprend que certaines journées sont plus acahlandées que d’autres mais ca semble être toujours le cas dans cette clinique

If you like being treated like a number and not a person, this is the place for you! Enjoy hours+ wait time for a one minute consult? Book now...if someone will answer the phone. Don't forget to ask yourself why the ophthalmologist even bothers to take 20 seconds to look into each eye after the technician has already done a full exam and has given him/her the report.

I'm not sure what these people are talking about. I took my son in to see dr Chartrand and everyone was simply amazing. He got a bunch of tests and saw the dr right away. His Nurse, Natasha was wonderful, kind, soft-spoken and very professional. It took about 1.5 hours for all that but the clinic was packed so it's understandable. I wonder if this is the case of being nice and people being nice right back at you.....

As an existing patient with Dr. Chartrand, I was refused treatment for my left eye because I had had a RIGHT eye cataract removed at a hospital and not by them !!! Will be reporting them for such unethical behaviour.

I was surprised that the receptionist taking payment was singing like she was in a karaoke bar, couldn’t believe It .. clueless that there is a pandemic going on. Yet she berated an elderly lady when she asked the question if her husband was allowed to be present for her appointment.

Yes there is a wait yes sometimes it is long but this is free care and the aging of the population and the use of screens will only amplify the situation. Excellent service, friendly staff and minimal wait time. I was apprehensive when I read the initial reviews but I called twice with no issues on someone answering, as well as no wait time longer then 5-10 minutes.

I had an appointment at 2:15pm and at 3:30pm I was done with my eye exam with the doctor's assistant and I had met with the doctor. In and out within an hour which is more than reasonable. Excellent and courteous service.
