Very Wary

I very much like and trust Dr. Matyas and have been going to her for several years. However the office manager is another story. I'd recommend not buying glasses here, unless you expect to pay extra for fixing ill-fitting frames or lenses that cause headaches. (I got an optician to fix the problem for free - that's where I'll buy my next glasses).

I was hired to be an Optometrist Assistant. That is what I have experience in for more than 3yrs. On my first day was put in as a Vision Therapist Assistant because the other girl quit ,with out even asking me if this was ok. Girls there do not lasts there very long as doctor is not very easy to work with and lacks mannerism with employees. Two weeks into role felt that it was a lot more responsibilities so I mentioned if a raise was possible after probation. On Remembance day she fired me without any warning "just.. you are not a good fit" Just want to warn others as she fired a Vision Therapist two weeks prior to firing me. This is not a stable environment to work for. Just a heads up in case you have a family and bills to pay!

Dr. Matyas is a very great optometrist. You can immediately tell, that she has lots of experience, she is very professional and that she really cares about you. I got my eyes checked a couple of weeks ago. She explains to you every step, and why she is doing it, that's why I felt safe and in good hands. She also has a great selection of glasses. I purchased 2 pairs of glasses and I am super happy with them. I also liked her team a lot. I can highly recommend her!

I had a great experience with the Eye Clinic team, I spent 32 weeks doing vision therapy and found the staff very knowledgeable, caring, and willing to do whatever they can to help you succeed. They have great technology which helped my vision improve more than I thought it could. All the staff I dealt with was very passionate about what they do. I would recommend the service they provide to anyone needing the help.

I underwent vision therapy at The Eye Clinic for 10 months in 2019 to address post-concussion vision issues. Everyone at the office is friendly and helpful. Dr. Matyas is very knowledgeable and kind. My vision therapist, Michelle, was great at explaining things in a way I could understand, and gearing the exercises to a level that challenged me without overwhelming me. I am really happy with the level of improvement I achieved during my treatment there and am grateful for the knowledge and tools they have equipped me with so that I can keep making improvements going forward!

I made an appointment with Dr.Zai, and I am very glad I did. She is super thorough and was very detailed with explaining all sorts of things about the eyes that I did not know (but are very important). The whole office was friendly and helpful with getting me set up and taking care of me throughout my appointment, including getting new glasses. Highest recommendation for anyone looking for eye care in Cambridge!
