Dr Ted Smith is one of the friendliest and most knowledgeable optometrists I have known, and I have been seeing optometrists and wearing glasses for over forty years. The optician has been especially helpful. She once fixed the frame of my glasses for free after I accidentally sat on it.

Dr. M Hall and staff are the best at what they do. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, I've been coming here for over 10 years. Their selection of frames is fantastic and if you bring in your own they can create the lenses in-house in less than an hour. You won't regret getting your eyes checked at Water Street Eyecare - they really do care.

My husband had an appointment booked a month in advanced. He lefted work early and was told that he didn't have an appointment. It was their mistake they should have taken him, so unprofessional so if you are looking for a place don't go here !!!!!

My 5 years old got glasses for the first time with another doctor and I wanted to get a second opinion. I came across the article on 3 best rated optometrists then called Dr Michael Hall’s office. OHIP does not cover second opinion and I had no problem paying for another eye exam. None of my kids wear glasses and this little fellow had astigmatism that he seems to be born with. I wanted to do my best for proper care early on. Dr Halls office was open and the secretary gave me a good rate for eye exam. However, she got very uncomfortable the moment I mentioned about the second opinion. It was the first place I called so I didn’t know what to expect. In a gentle voice she made me feel I was doing something wrong. She reluctantly took my number and agreed to talk to the doctor at my request. I was a bit surprised when she asked for my last name as well. I was a desperate mother willing to do much more. My last name says a lot about my background and I have faced discrimination few times in the past. That never deters me, rather it’s my strength. She later informed me that the doctor refused to see my son due to Covid19! The only doctor in that article whose office readily agreed to a second opinion is Dr Johal but it was a bit expensive for me. Later, I found great optometrists around who are experienced and very open to second opinions. They might not spend so much on advertising but the care they provide is almost as great as dr Anderson. He was a legend much before he retired.
