A few years ago I started seeing Dr Bhamra for my chronic dry eyes. They had been sore, irritated, even at times infected for 40 years. I had sought help everywhere and was a little jaded walking in. The number times I had been given steroid drops and assured “that will clear things right up” had left me bitter. That day Dr Bhamra also gave me drops to calm them down but at the same time recommended I educate myself and consider a paleo diet. I did. It’s a few years later now and my eyes are perfect. It took time, a few steps forward and back, annual visits to Dr Bhamra and lots of dedication but I use no eye drops or artificial tears of any kind today. My eyes are happy calm and healthy. And so am I. Huge thank you to Dr Bhamra and his excellent team - who by the way are wonderful with grouchy scaredy cats.

The receptionist booked me the wrong date for the follow-up. I said I didn't get a phone call, and she replied that if you didn't get the phone call, you should call us in an attitude. How do I know my appointment was changed if I didn't get the phone call!????‍♀️????‍♀️ They definitely need more training in their professional service manner.

I was first referred to Dr. Jamie Bhamra in 2012 for the treatment of cataracts. Subsequently I had lens replacement surgery opting for the multi-focal lenses first on my left eye and a year later on my right eye once the cataract had progressed enough. Since the procedures my vision is 20/20 and since the first surgery in 2013 have not worn glasses. I am very happy with the efficiency of my care and the results!

I have been going to Vector to see Dr Bhamra on average about once a week for nearly a year and a half now. All his staff have always been a pleasure to work with as they take such good care of you. I have experienced quite the ordeal and everyone has treated me so well and are so kind and friendly. Dr Bhamra is so skilled in so many fields and has plenty of knowledge and connections to help in all sorts of circumstances. Dr Bhamra sets the pace based on the needs of each patient and gets to know his patients personally. Sure, sometimes the visits may take longer than other normal doctors, but Dr Bhamra is a specialist who deals with hard cases, and not every patient has an easy situation, and it means he's taking his time with those ones, and that's important enough to make the wait worth it.

Coming to Vector Eye Centre was a complete nightmare. For starters, the receptionists acted very unprofessional. They were very cold and rude towards guests. They didn't have the patience for any questions. Before seeing the doctor, you had to go through a series of tests. Each of these tests occurred in a different room. It made me feel more like I was being dissected on a factory line. All of the support staff seemed frazzled. I can't blame them, as there were dozens of patients waiting to be seen. The doctor was very nice and friendly, but also seemed to be very frazzled. He didn't have more than 5 minutes to talk to me about my condition. They make you feel like a number, not a patient. Do this place a favor, and go somewhere else. They are busy enough already.

Having an accident I was usually pretty grumpy and in pain on alot of my visits , and all of the girls are amazing, always very friendly , calm, and gentle making sure all my needs were met ! even the receptionist, after 3 months of not hearing my voice , I had called and she recognized my voice , and that was wonderful! It Shows great dedication commitment and amazing work ethic ! Great job everyone on the team! As much as they are a great team, After a full recovery I hope I don't have to visit again, ha. ;)

After having worn glasses for most of my life, cataract surgery by Jamie Bhamra gave me 20/20 vision in both eyes. It feels positively miraculous to see this well. At our initial meeting, I was slightly put off by his attitude, but at subsequent visits, I found him to be upbeat, knowledgeable, and easy to deal with. He explained the surgical procedure in detail and provided a detailed post surgical care plan. I felt that I was in very good hands. His support staff are generally very knowledgeable but a couple need to practice the social pleasantries like a smile and cheerful "good morning/afternoon". The appointment processes took less time than what family members experienced in other ophthamologists' office.

I had to drive my mother to this clinic for an appointment. Literally 2 and a half hours later she completed her appointment for them to use a eye drops!! 2 and a half hours later to drip some eye drop into her eyes!. What is the point of an appointment if we had to just wait there for 2 and half hours for some eye drops!

The staff at Vector Eye Centre are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. If you are uncertain about any procedure or your eye condition, just ask and they will certainly give you a satisfactory explanation. I am very short sighted and the normal multifocal lenses were not available for my correction. Dr Bhamra obtained the LISA lenses from Zies Germany and now I will never need glasses or contact lenses.

Zero star if I could. I ended up getting a cut on the top layers of my eye, for the first few weeks the pain was excruciating, after that if was just a daily annoyance. My optometrist recommended me to see Dr.Bhamra to get it fixed so I wouldnt have to live with the annoyance forever. I gave it some thought and looked into it and the outcome of no side effects was very high so I decided to go with it. Everything went well until a few days after the surgery. I ended up losing my vision for a few days which in itself was absolutely scary, to it healing up nicely where there was no further annoyance, just the affected vison to heal. Unfortunately though my vision made a turn for the worse in the eye and I now have to wear a contact or glasses to be able to see anything out of the eye. He monitored it for over a year and kept telling me it will get better. As I did my research I found out it never was and he was just trying to impose hope in me. I questioned him time and time again as to getting it fixed and all he could do was skate around the issue and tell me only time will fix it. I quit going to see him once I realized he had no intention of helping me repair what went wrong. The worst part of it all was that the side effects were career ending for me. If you care about your vision and have more than the daily cataract eye problems find someone else who cares about your eyes as much as you do, cause trust me once Dr. Bhamras taken your sight life will never be the same.

Dr. Jamie Bhamra is an absolute gift to anyone with cataracts. I was assessed by two “specialists” prior to Dr. Bhamra and I was very disappointed with both or them. I had zero confidence that either of them would be able to correct my vision impairment. I googled Dr. Bhamra and saw his great reviews so I urged my family Optometrist to refer me. I am in my early 50’s and previously had Lasek surgery in both eyes (three times in the left and twice in the right) over 20 years ago so I was concerned I would not be a good candidate for cataract surgery. I had a thin cornea from the previous operations and I was concerned the results would be mediocre at best. Dr. Jamie Bhamra eased my concerns within the first three minutes of meeting him and did an absolutely outstanding job on correcting my vision impairment. I could not be happier with how I was treated, how the detailed information was relayed to me, and the final results. I was being a realist and told him I was hoping for a 7 or 8 out of 10. I said “I’m not looking for perfection” and he replied “We’re going for perfection” :) In the end he delivered a 10 out of 10. He is definitely an outstanding surgeon and he changed my life for the better. My sincere thanks goes out to him and his staff!!

I was referred to Dr. Bhamra by my optometrist for treatment of cataracts. Dr. Bhamra recommended that I first have a procedure to clean surface of my eyes (keratectomy) and then have cataract surgery. All of these surgeries were done over the last year. The surgeries were quick, virtually painless and the recovery period was smooth. My eyesight is now 20/20 and I am able to see very well without glasses at all distances (including for reading). I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome! I have read other comments about the functioning of the office and I can confirm it is a VERY busy place. Still, the people I dealt with were all pleasant and supportive, including with being flexible on scheduling and taking time to answer my questions.

Less than 2 years ago I was diagnosed with FUCHs Dystrophy and needing cataract surgery. I was at the point of loosing my drivers license. It was a bit of a shock hearing I needed transplanted corneas and cataracts. Long story short, Dr. Bhamra did my surgery, one eye at a time. I delayed 2nd eye due to work schedule and they were willing to work with me. My visit this week , Dr. Bhamra said I have near 20/20 vision (both eyes). Dr Bhamra is very professional and very knowledgeable. His confidence in restoring my eyesight made me go forward with the surgery immediately. I have had very professional care with the office staff and even when I had to call in for additional information or for eye drop prescriptions. I did have a bad experience with a receptionist. I was experiencing rapid vision loss and she misdirected me in a rude manner. After communication and going forward she has apologized which has been accepted on my part. Dr. Bhamra and his staff are very busy and do the very best patients could ask for.

The eye doctor was very friendly, caring, patient and professional. But one of the technicians made this first visit to this Centre very uncomfortable. We have seen three technicians, the first two were very good but the third one was very impatient and her tone to an elderly patient was very unpleasant! She put the exam machine on the patient, and then went to do her personal non-work related stuff on her computer (e.g. submitting her insurance claims and checking personal emails) which is impropriate . She also did the last test before sending the elder patient away, but she was extremely impatient and literally raised her voice, grabbed the patient's hand rudely and showed a look with disguise to the patient, and at the mean time she made faces with her co-worker in the same room. She should learn to work with RESPECT, treat every patient with RESPECT and be patient towards seniors with language barriers and vision problems. She really needs to work on her Professionalism. I later found out her name but I would rather not to put it here. I hope she would read this review and reflect and improve her services in the future.

I went to Vector Eye Center for a keratocone. I was scared because I was told I needed a surgery for my left eye. If you are in a same situation, please, don't be on panic. Dr BHAMRA is an experienced doctor and he has some strong communication skills. He explained very well to me the surgery process and it was exactly as he described. My experience was like that: absolutely no pain, professional work and human consideration. It can be upsetting thing to have an eye surgery but finally it's not a such big deal. Go ahead !

This doctor is very good at explaining what is happening to you and creates a plan. Testing is very detailed and state-of-the-art. He carried out things exactly the way he stated. My mother was diagnosed with Fuchs Endothelial Degeneration and need a combination surgery. She has done very well and can driver her car again at age 78. She feels independent again.

Dr. Bhamra is an exceptional surgeon and I am so glad I was referred to him. I originally went in for a dry eyes- I have worn contacts for 25yrs and have a very intense job that requires a ton of screen time. I’ve never been brave enough to consider surgery but the ICL option stood out as something that might help my dry issues and get me out of contacts 18hrs per day. I have had excellent care over my 2 years of being a patient at Vector Eye Centre. From first meeting Dr. Bhamra, he impressed me with his enthusiasm, sense of humour, ability to keep me and my husband at ease, honour our questions and fears and he delivered every single time we saw him office and on all my surgeries. I was referred for cataract and pterygiums. We had to remove the pterygiums first and they went off without a hitch and I have looked prettier ever since! I wasn't sure what lens to put in my eye and we felt overwhelmed. Jamie explained how all the IOLs worked and what was good and limiting about them. I liked to not wear glasses for distance but I was OK to wear readers so the TORIC lens was put in my eyes. Another two surgeries that were perfect and have really changed my life. I felt nothing and they both had to be under 5 minutes. Everything since I stepped into Vector Eye Centre has been a blessing. Now, I am all done and on my way. A wonderful thank you to everyone and Vector Eye Centre and Dr. Jamie Bhamra for a memorable and vision changing 2 years.

I had cataract surgery surgery with Dr Bhamra this year and chose the oculentis comfort lens and it was the best decision ever. I have had severe nearsightedness since I was 6 and I no longer wear glasses ! I don’t need reading lenses and can see to drive. The surgery was painless , easy and lovely not to worry about glasses when wearing a mask . Dr Bramra solved my dry eye issue and these lens are wonderful .

I have been seeing dr.bhamra for awhile and normally my experience here is always great. My last time there I did happen to notice that the dark haired receptionist.. I am unsure of her name but she was being very condescending and rude towards people on the phone and the patients that were in the clinic. I feel like most people especially the elderly who are already nervous to be there want a pleasant experience and that is less than pleasant in my opinion. Truly an unfortunate circumstance to have someone like that be the fore front of a business.

I believe dr. Bahmra may have some practical skills but is not very good in dealing with people. He seemed to blame me for something that was not explained clearly and repeat himself over and over how it seemed to be my fault for something that was not explained well. If there is an issue he automatically assumes you are at fault and holds you accountable accordingly.

Before coming here I had a long term eye problem that my optometrist couldn’t solve. Vector helped me get solve that problem, and as the after-effects of my issue meant that I could no longer wear contact lenses, and was not eligible for laser surgery, they recommended ICL surgery. The surgery was quick, painless, and recovery was an easy two weeks, and now my vision is perfect and I’m not forced to wear glasses any more. Throughout the process, they were professional, informative, and helpful. Would definitely recommend to others.

Dear Google, I have not reviewed before. I wanted to leave a review for Dr. Jamie Bhamra and Vector Eye Centre as they amazing in their care with my daughter. We were sent to Vector Eye Centre. My daughter was diagnosed with a corneal infection and needed to see a corneal specialist. As a Mom, I was super scared my daughter was going to lose her vision. She wasn't wearing her contact lenses properly and was sleeping in them, so I learned. She was seen within a day by Dr. Jamie Bhamra. The care we received from Dr. Bhamra has been great. She was misdiagnosed with a bacterial ulcer. They did cultures and special tests at Vector and Dr. Jamie also thought it was likely a parasite! OMG! The cultures confirmed the diagnosis. She was placed on special drops and seeing regularly. Some of the drops changed and other were added but Dr. Jamie kept us hopeful. After 3 weeks, her vision improved a ton... to something like 20/25 with glasses. She was counting hands when she first saw Dr. Jamie. She is still on some special drops as the parasite (OMG!) can still be completely fought off. I was so scared, but I am so happy my daughter is able to see again! Thank you to Dr. Jamie Bhamra and the entire Vector Team. I would recommend everyone to go see them for all their eye care needs as everyone in the office and waiting rooms was also very happy to be there.

I had got metal in my eye, on Tuesday went to an eye doctor next day. They said they had got it out and to come for a follow up next day, when I went in it was still there, another doctor attempted to remove the metal but could not. Then called Vector Eye I went there the next day, they gave me a 4 test before the doctor. Then Doctor Bham came in by far the best eye doctor I have ever had. This was my 4th time with the same injury. He got it out first try he is truly magic with his hands and personality you will not be regret choosing Vector Eye.

I was very nervous to proceed with the surgery, but Dr. Bhamra took the time to answer all my questions and explain the procedure in detail. I have chronic dry eyes, and after trying everything for years, I had no improvement, until I was assessed by Dr. Alison Harapiak. She requested for me a dry eye test, done with advanced technology, and after checking results, I was candidate for Radio Frequency Therapy, which she performed on my eyelids with excellent results. Dr. Alison Harapiak is very honest, not promising anything that this treatment can help with, and having it clear, the final results exceeded my expectations. She is very professional, nice and concerned about the patients, even following up with them after sessions to make sure all is good. And also they discount the cost of the initial dry eye exam from the treatment bill. Thank you very much!

Firstly, had an infection in both eyes. It took Dr. Bharma to identify and successfully treat it. Recently, had both cataracts replaced. Returned my sight back 40 years. Excellent work and fabulous results. I'd highly recommend them but it seems awfully busy now. Must be a reason. I really can not say enough good about the service I have received from Vector.
