This Ophthalmologist corresponds to the category of Lasik surgeon.
I had PRK Laser Eye Surgery done on both my eyes and the procedure was successful. I highly recommend if anyone is considering PRK Laser Eye Surgery. Oh, and Dr. Boyd is a hockey fanatic too which can bring up a good conversation.
Dr. Boyd and staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Great positive experience!
Wanted to replace the use of reading glasses and my distance vision was failing so I decided with J&J Synergy lenses. Glad I did. Dr Boyd did an excellent job with both eyes and was always there helping me out dealing with my concerns.I cant say how happy I am with the results. I dont need reading glasses and distance was fixed with these lenses as well. So worth the money. To the staff who endlessly helped me with ALL my telephone calls, thank you especially Helen and Bonnie. Dr.Boyd, I dont need to leave my name, you know who this is. Thanks guys!!
Best eye surgeon and excellent LASIK surgeon in town. Dr Boyd has taken care of the vision of our family members including Symphony Lens implants / laser enhancements. All surgeries turned out with excellent results. The only exception was that I healed a little slower than the others, which does not reflect the surgeon's skill.
my eyes kinda of messed up after the surgery
Went in for eye check due to an injury. Professional and helpful.
Our family has been going to Dr. Boyd for a few years now so when it came time to consult someone with regards to Laser Surgery, I decided to go to BoydVision. The staff was friendly, professional and answered all questions and concerns. The entire process was easy and I would totally recomend their services. It has now been 6 months since my surgery and I have absolutely no complaints.
Phone ahead before your scheduled appointment because they will make you wait. Review edit.. Came in again waited an hour again. Appointments are never on time
I had PRK done by Dr. Boyd on pretty severe astigmatism and myopia. Before booking, I had spoken with other clinics, and only Dr. Boyd made an effort to address all of my questions. In addition to being pretty thrilled with the outcome (OS 20/25, OD 20/20) after one month, I've been consistently impressive with Dr. Boyd's level of care and attentiveness. Staff at the office are all very helpful and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend Boyd Vision to everyone I know, and I've been doing just that. For only $2,000, my vision is great and I am happy I made the decision to trust such an excellent eye surgeon. Also, as an FYI, the website doesn't mention, but Dr. Boyd performs transepithelial PRK (touchless, all lasers), which was a major selling point for me. Recovery wasn't a walk in the park, but for what I hope is decades of good vision it was entirely worth it.
My husband had cataract surgery on one eye here, as an out-of-town patient due to the incredibly long wait times in Alberta. Of course, going out of province meant it is elective surgery and we paid out of our pocket but it is well worth it when your job depends on having vision. The price quoted was reasonable and in the neighborhood of what we expected. The final invoice was exactly what was quoted, no surprises. The procedure was performed within 4-5 weeks of first contact and we were so relieved to have it taken care of so quickly by such professionals. Candy did a fantastic job of setting my husband at ease about the whole thing at the consultation and pre-testing. Dr. Boyd was very personable himself, explaining how the cataracts work and the surgery itself to both of us and even let me have a look through his equipment at the eye before and after. Pretty 'eye' opening! My husband said the only painful thing about it was the bright light during surgery. Bonnie was a peach from start to finish, being our primary contact throughout and setting up appointments and the surgery itself. They make me wish they were our regular optometrist office! We absolutely recommend Boydvision to anyone and especially anyone considering them as an out-of-town patient. Lay your fears to rest when you choose them. We stayed at a convenient location quite close to Boydvision too. Overall, the staff were very kind, considerate and professional. We never felt rushed, dismissed or disrespected. Their consideration & respect for all patients time was evident and we appreciate that, it was refreshing!
Dr Boyd does good work (i think) but the staff is terrible. Appointments get placed wrong, choices I made are ignored, communication is bad. You have to confirm, confirm and confirm yet again, and even then, they get it wrong
I went to BoydVision as a referral from my optometrist as I went in with a concern of a floater as this had never happened before and it was very noticeably in my line of vision. The front desk staff and technician taking photos of my eye were super pleasant, friendly and made the experience more pleasant. I commend BoydVision for having such dedicated workers with great customer service skills. The specialist I saw, unaware of his name as he never introduced himself, was an older gentlemen with glasses whom I assume is Dr. Boyd. He asked me if I was aware as to why I was sent to their office, while responding I was cut off before finishing and he looked at my eye. He told me there’s nothing to see and my optometrist was wrong as to his diagnosis. He said that what he was seeing is something I was born with. Which left me wondering why it only came into my line of vision now. He let me continue my story of what initially brought me into the optometrist. He said that had nothing to do with why I was there. Not only did this doctor dismiss me and my concerns and could not provide me with any information on my initial concern, but he also wore his face mask only over his mouth and as he was examining my eye I felt his breath going into my eye and on my face. Not a practice I would recommend going to.
I went here for my PRK procedure last month. After having shopped around for various quotes, I found the price ($2000, inclusive of all medications, drops and follow ups) to be the best around. The staff here were very welcoming and supportive. The office was always quite full and busy, but I didn't run into any issues setting up my appointment or follow ups. The procedure itself was very quick, lasting only around 30 seconds for each eye. It was painless at the time, and while the recovery was quite uncomfortable I didn't have any issues as a result of the work of Dr. Boyd. He explained to me beforehand all the risks, and helped me understand what could happen if things go wrong in a way that made me feel like he wasn't just in this to take my money. Overall, I recommend this clinic for anyone looking for corrective surgery.
I appreciated having no hidden costs in getting PRK (eye surgery). I found everyone at the office to be professional and helpful
I went to BoydVision for a free consultation, as I lost my glasses and decided to get laser eye. Ended up that I didn't need laser eye, and they were very helpful and honest with their assessment. If it was a thing I needed laser eye, I would have been very happy with the service.
Good service - friendly staff - hopefully I spell everything right as I’m typing this after getting dilation drops and can’t see anything :) - but the waiting room is also pleasant.
Had PRK done in February last year with Dr. Boyd and his excellent team. Had a bit a rougher healing process, but it had nothing to do with the procedure or this clinic. They were so helpful in getting the medical documetation I needed for my work, and Dr. Boyd saw me regularly when I had concerns about my double vision. Almost 2 years later, my eyes are doing great and I am so happy I had this surgery! If you're still comtemplating, contact the office and their team will help you with which surgery is best for you :)
DO NOT GO !!!! This is one of the worse places to get your eye surgery done. Dr. Boyd does not care at all about his patients. Just the money they bring in for him. You get treated no better than cattle and most likely will have problems with your procedure. Much better doctors and clinics out there. Read the reviews. This guy just wants money. Your eyes are only a money grab for him.
Very good experience ????
Doctor didn't listen to me and kept refuting my concerns. He double booked himself and just rushed patients through. (The person next to me was booked at the same time with me for the same doctor.) Staff were so rude. When they kept you waiting for 1.5 hours, they blamed you "but you showed up too early" (10 mins ahead of apt time)! Very unprofessional and disappointing.
Dr.Boyd did not even examine me and rushed the appointment. Didn’t really listened to my concerns and brushed it off. He barely looked at my eyes for less than a minute and said “well I examined you” and blamed everything for “aging” I wouldn’t go back or trust this doctor.
Wouldn't trust my eyes to anybody else. Went in to have have my meeting regarding Lasik for my eyes, was told the good, the bad and all the possibilities of the surgery both short term and long term. Book my appointment the same day for surgery 2 weeks later. Had my surgery at 430pm, went for sushi after and woke up the next morning with near perfect vision. 230pm post op check and I had perfect vision. Not only did Dr. Boyd tell me what I need to know but also his staff were amazing and also guided me in both my pre & post op information. Would recommend 100%
Stay away from LASIK at this place! He might be a good eye doctor but for lasik surgery? I don't think so. I was lucky did only one eye and still having trouble. For the second eye I went to a place specializing in lasik/prk with excellent results. Day and night difference in the equipment and experience of the surgeon.
Very knowledgable, direct, funny and a pleasure to be a patient. I would recommend Dr Boyd to anyone. There were no hidden costs to my PRK surgery. Well explained and complete process. My vision is 20/15... better than 20/20. The healing process took a long time but well worth the value and comfort knowing i am in good hands. For the cost of the surgery, you are getting an excellent deal. He is quick but complete with his patients... a true professional.
Good experience with my PRK eye surgery. I've been wanting to improve my vision for years and my optometrist recommended Dr. Boyd in Burnaby. Cost was less than I expected and bookings were really fast to my surprise. Dr Boyd and his staff were all very professional and didn't waste much time on chit chat or having me stuck in the waiting room. The one complication I did have was diagnosed within a week and immediately corrected due to a reaction to drops. I had my surgery done in early November and writing this review almost 4 months later.
Great price, results, and care. Will definitely refer others to get laser eye surgery, specifically from this clinic. Dr. Boyd went out of his way to accommodate an off-hour emergency for me.
Dr.Boyd is nice, but always a long wait for a scheduled appointment. They overbook way too much. At least 3 people in the same time slot. Terrible terrible customer service.
Got here 15 min before the actual appointment time. No staff on site but I can hear them having a lunch break. 4 patients including myself waiting, all booked for the same appointment time, one doctor available who was still on a lunch break. What is the point of making appointment when they overbook which inevitably led to a much longer wait time. Also, the parking lot only allows 2 hours per day per license plate which also doesn't help.
Very rare to find doctors that care for their patients as much as Dr.Boyd. Before, during, and after the procedure him and his team exceed all expectations. Thank you!
Dr Boyd replaced my aging lenses with Tecnis Symfony IOLs. There was no pain and I have crisp sharp vision right after both lens implantations. My neuro-adaptability was short and uneventful. The operations corrected my high myopia and astigmatism. My vision acuity is now 20/15. Thank you Dr Boyd and team. There is a reason why this specialist clinic and surgery is busy.
Dr. Boyd did an excellent job. I would recommend him to my own mother. His staff was professional and courteous: frankly, they were wonderful. My vision is 20 15 in both eyes and 20 10 in my right eye. Thank you so much Dr. Boyd.
I went to Dr Boyd for a consultation. He was very thoroughly. He made sure I understand there might be complications etc. He advise me the good and bad about the PRK. I felt totally confident with him after I left his office. I also did do a consultation at London Eye. I choose Dr Boyd cause you get to talk to the Dr on the consultation vs speaking to tech at London eye. I did do the PRK. My eyes were a bit irritated afterwards. Taking the T3 really helped. I am still recovering at the moment but totally recommend Dr Boyd. He is an amazing Dr.
Dr Boyd measured my eyes prescription wrongly! I had longtime headaches with my new glasses. When I booked the second appointment to double check it, he said your eyes axis has changed! simply, that's it! He wasted lots of my money and time.
absolutely cannot recommend this place. they are over crowded understaffed, don't answer their telephones, and basically couldn't care less about their patients.. I'm talking about the staff, not the doctors, but really a bad experience! go somewhere else..
I feel compelled to finally write a review regarding this doctor. My elderly father had cataract surgery by Dr.Boyd years ago. All I will recommend is to go to someone else--that is all: go to someone else. On a personal experience, he also wrote a prescription for me and it was all wrong--my eye prescription has never changed in 25 years yet his was off by a significant percentage. Save your time, money, and heartache by going to someone else.
I had PRK surgery in BoydVision center several months ago. I was very much delighted with the results and very appreciated Dr. Boyd. Staff are all very kind, friendly, and professional. Dr. Boyd is very reliable, knouwlegeable, and excellent doctor. I am sure to recomend this clinic to my friends.
(Translated) I recommend Dr. Boyd's ophthalmology team to let more patients understand and go to the doctor and surgery. reason: 1. The receptionist pays special attention to the patient's outpatient and surgical time. After making an appointment to determine the outpatient time, they will remind you again and again in bilingual (Chinese and English) until you and your client receive the call in person; even before the operation In this way, also patiently tell one by one pre-operative precautions. 2. Dr. Boyd's assistant doctors, I have met two, especially Candy, who are kind to the patient, check carefully, communicate with each other patiently, and are reasonable in deciding on the surgical plan. At first, I chose a free lens to improve myopia in both eyes. The right eye was opened well, and seeing the distance was clearer than ever, and there was a burst of excitement; however, after 2 weeks, my left eye was closed and my right eye couldn't see anything near. I was worried, and thought that my left eye opened. Isn't it necessary to wear reading glasses to do anything at home (doing housework, watching mobile phones, using computers, reading books)? I have never worn reading glasses, how inconvenient it is! I couldn't sleep well for a few nights, thinking, if the left eye keeps some nearsightedness, and the presbyopia is improved, the left and right eyes are divided to see the distance, can it? But the operation agreement has been signed long ago, can it be changed? Thinking left and right, I kept worrying until 6 days before the operation of the left eye. It was a coincidence that the right eye was checked after surgery. I met Dr. Candy. When I said what I meant, she checked her eyes again. According to my actual vision, she The mixed vision solution of "right eye looking at long distance, left eye looking at mid distance" was decided and approved by Dr. Boyd. The change agreement was signed and the fee was only $200. Soon she notified the lens database to modify the data, which changed the original plan. It also ensured that the time for the left eye surgery to proceed as scheduled. Candy is also very responsible for the care and guidance of patients after surgery. Those few sentences "Don't bend over to pick up things", "Don't wash your hair for a week", "Shake before dripping" wait for me to keep in mind, and to my recovery after surgery. It helps a lot. 3. Dr. Boyd is very experienced and skilled. Although the language is not fluent, I feel that he is an amiable doctor. I was not afraid at all when he performed the operation. It was my luck to meet such a skilled ophthalmologist. . Now, I don’t wear glasses when I go out and do anything, and get rid of the trouble of wearing glasses. Thank you Boyd Eye Team.
The staff has been amazing. They are very courteous, friendly, and helpful. It is a busy clinic and everyone has been great. They seem to remember a lot of people. I had the PRK procedure done for the same reasons as previous patients (it's safer for sports). In terms of my experience with the surgery, it was a bit of a roller-coaster. Every patient is different, and I feel like I definitely fit into the category of being atypical. I read up on the procedure and expected some difficulty, but not quite the degree in the I had in my head or what I read in various forums with their recovery. Most patients recover pretty quickly and that wasn't the case for me. Most people have difficulty or moderate discomfort/ pain on days 1 to 3 and the following week or two with vision improving rapidly (vision in one eye for me was long). In my case, I didn't really experience pain until day 4 and it got really bad on week 2. I was mainly very light sensitive. I had to keep the contacts on for I believe, was roughly 2 to 3 weeks in one eye. For most people it's one week or less - so I am atypical. The vision in the bad eye felt pretty bad for awhile. I didn't feel like I was safe to drive until the bad eye was less sensitive and was worried that the bad eye would not recover. Weeks 2 and 3 were the worst for me in terms of vision going in and out of focus, the nausea, pain, the dry eyes, and not being able to do much since my eyes were so sensitive. I got a bit worried, but Dr. Boyd asked me to come in for multiple check-ups to make certain I was progressing. I was given more steroids for the eyes. I experienced a lot of nausea and headaches from one eye being much further along since the visual acuity and photosensitivity had a wide margin and my vision kept going in and out of focus with both eyes feeling like they were duking it out for supremacy. It took roughly 3 weeks before those symptoms started to stabilize and it has improved a lot more since then. I got a check up today and both eyes are now fairly normalized with one eye being better than 20/20. Overall, I thought that Dr. Boyd was nice, professional, and engaged in the questions I asked. It was a positive experience reflecting on it today. Thanks!
Having laser vision correction with Dr Boyd was the best eye care decision I have made. The joy of running and other outdoor activities without glasses sliding down my nose or steaming up! The first week after PRK is quite uncomfortable, but Dr Boyd and his staff were very clear about what to expect so I was prepared. I have one eye for distance and one for close up so I don't even need reading glasses, and the cost/benefit of surgery is very reasonable compared to that of quality progressive lenses and frames. Dr Boyd and his staff are very professional and very nice. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner.
I underwent PRK surgery by Dr. Byod over a month ago. During the initial assessment as well as again on the day of the surgery the procedure was explained diligently. Few minutes before the surgery all the Post-op care medications & the instructions to administer them were thoroughly explained. All one needs is to follow simple documentation and there were literally no issues whatsoever. To sum up, my experience at Byod Vison Center was very positive and I would highly recommend Byod Vision Center.
Dr boyd saw me even though I didn't have an appointment. Good hearted person has a love for what he does . Staff are very professional and easy going. Excellent service -Johnny Singh
bad experience. My father who is 85 yrs old had his cataract removed. never had imbalance problem. now after the surgery, my father had problems which causes him to walk sideways and constant headaches.
Long, long wait, overcrowded office, patients standing up, pushy doctor and a bit rude if you don;t give him the Ok to the eye procedures. Dilapidated building, washrooms with no hands towels and hands dryers not working, Only one elevator working.
I've come from out of town to perform Lasik surgery. I have no complaints and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
It's only the day after my surgery but so life changing! I had lasik and being able to see for the first time in 25 years is amazing! The staff there are super friendly and compassionate. I would recommend Dr. Boyd and his staff every time
My mother had the Lasik eye surgery with Dr. Boyd a few years back and she was very happy with the result. Now, seven years later, she has almost 20/20 vision (she is also approaching her mid 50s, so the aging also has influenced her vision). I liked the fact that the prices are listed on the website and there are no hidden costs, fees, and they don't pressure you into buying anything from them. I decided to take the plunge and do it myself. Dr. Boyd sat me down and answered all my questions (I had a LOT of questions) and after the pre-op check, I got the surgery done. The actual procedure took under 30 minutes (including instructions, sitting in the dark room right after the surgery, and payment transaction, etc). The only thing was, we had to wait beforehand because there was a long lineup of people in the office (even though this is supposed to be EXPECTED - I see many reviews where people say they had to wait long - well duh! it's an office where they have MEDICAL procedures, things get backed up, it's not like in business....). After the procedure, I went for a post-op after one week, then the doctor's office called after two weeks and then again after 3 weeks to make sure I was ok. Even though I would have called them if I needed anything, it was nice to know they cared and wanted to make sure I was ok. They even went out of their way to write me a note and sent a copy of the PDF file, to give my fitness center (because you are not allowed to do certain sports right after, I wanted to freeze my membership for a month, since I knew I wasn't supposed to do it). I had gone to another laser clinic and totally different atmosphere. Corporate businesses are like that, they just want your money and not care much about the actually care of the patient. Since this is his own practice, Dr. Boyd creates a successful relationship with his patients and his staff are trained to do so as well. The receptionists there always answered my questions and I NEVER saw any one of them roll their eyes, or act like I interrupted them (even though I may have interrupted). I never got an attitude from them and they were always polite (including body language, which may not be as easy to always understand). So if YOU are thinking about getting it done, I highly recommend Dr. Boyd.
I had PRK laser eye surgery performed just over a month ago by Dr. Boyd and couldn't be happier. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Boyd Vision Centre. I went to two other places before deciding to go with Dr. Boyd. The main reasons I choose his office was I actually met with Dr. Boyd during the initial consultation (unlike the others) and he described exactly his concerns with my eyes and why. Side note: I didn't have a choice between lasik and PRK because of my thin cornea and slight "bulge" in my left eye but in analyzing the differences, I would still have gone with PRK. As far as my recovery, the day after was not bad, two day after was horrendous but then just got better from there and by day four I was nearly back to normal life. The contact bandage was removed after my second visit back with no pain and by my one month visit he said he could hardly tell I had laser surgery and I can see 20/20! (prescription before was OD: -2.00 OS: -4.00 +3.5 x 90; I had a pretty bad astigmatism in my left eye). Moral of the story, if you want a very honest, no-frills, reliable, knowledgable, friendly doctor, Dr. Boyd is your guy. Oh and did I mention it was also significantly cheaper than the two others I saw?
Super helpful & informative people. They care about doing the job right, and will refuse to do a job if they think it's not the right thing for you. They hold high standards, which is a very good thing when you're dealing with your eyes. This place is not a production-line eye surgery facility; they treat everyone very individually. Highly recommended.
Absolute waste of time, and a shameful waste of our healthcare resources. No doctor should ever be paid by the healthcare system for services not rendered. This doctor should not be allowed to submit any documents to get paid... he did NOT work for it! Patients are treated like cattle at this clinic. All what they care about here is the number of patients they can see, not the number of patients they can treat. Special treatment is reserved for paitients paying for costly procedures. But, those referred through the healthcare system are brushed aside, just like cattle. After a two hour wait, Dr. Ma spent no more than two minutes with me. He didn't answer the only question I asked him, declined to provide any explanations, and told me to get the information from his assistant. I strongly advice everyone to find an alternative. Tell your family doctors not to refer you to this place.
I have been a patient of Dr. Boyd for many years and have always been completely satisfied with my treatment! I had an issue with my retina and called for an appointment. The earliest booking they had was three weeks from the day I called. When I explained my symptoms Helen arranged for me to come and see Dr. Ma that day as Dr. Boyd was not in. I received excellent care from Dr. Ma, who took his time to assess the situation and to explain to me what my problem was. I was treated kindly and professionally by all staff I had to deal with. No complaints. I am grateful for the effort made to see me on very short notice.
Dr. Boyd seems to be a good, professional doctor. The only thing that bothers me is that he touches the patient's eyes, some of them with eye infection, and then he touches the eyes of the next patient without wearing gloves or washing his hands...
I had a PRK surgery done at BoydVision clinic and I am very happy with my decision. I received great follow up care and Dr Boyd made himself available outside of his work time to answer my questions. The surgeon and clinic staff are very professional and respectful.
It has been 8 months since I had my PRK surgery and is one of the best decisions I have made in my life. Dr.Boyd is extremely professional and it made me feel he was giving me his medical opinion with regards to my surgery rather than trying to finish a sale unlike other clinics I went to. I highly suggest you to make an appointment if you are thinking on getting eye surgery.
I underwent eyes surgery (PRK) at the end of april 2010 and I must say, that Dr. Boyd and his stuff, I even remember them all by name: Al, funny Candy, very attentive and polite Alisha and Christina... they all gave me a great feeling of a customer service and patient treatment. Thank you guys.
They are always late, prepare to wait a long time.
Lousy experience at this clinic. Paid big bucks to not have to wear glasses again. Was sold on the idea of lens implants so I don't need glasses. Was told I was a good candidate ( well, I wasn't) Surgery did not go well at all. Was better off before surgery. Eyes sore, heavy, watery, can't read, need glasses, out another $450 for glasses. So for me, not a good experience at all. I wouldn't tell anyone to go there. Seeing another eye specialist to see if anything can be done. He was shocked at what happened.
He did the wrong surgery on my mother's eye perfectly. She has never seen well ever since even after the 2nd surgery to insert a piggyback lens to try to restore her vision. Now she sees double often and can't read well which is what she lives to do. They were so busy upselling special lenses that they never listen to my mom that she just wanted to see clear and have the Cataract removed. Instead they inserted a permanent non removable lens that ruined her vision and she is now forever at risk of falling and can't drive. They ruined my mother's life because of their technician's inability to listen that she just needed cataract removal without vision "correction." A life ruining terrible nightmare experience from which there is no way back.
I had a great experience with Boyd Vision for my lasik eye surgery. Other places felt like an eye surgery factory and I was very pleasantly surprised when Dr. Boyd took the time to explain the surgery and answer all of my questions during my initial consult. I certainly did not receive that kind of personal attention anywhere else that I checked out. The surgery went well and I have better than 20/20 vision! There were no hidden costs and being reimbursed by my health savings account went smoothly. I also appreciated that Dr. Boyd and his office worked with me to have my consultation, surgery, and follow-up appointments on Saturdays since I live in Seattle. I would highly recommend them!
Dr Stephen Ma doesn’t seems to have time for his patient, treats his patients like herding cattle.
Although it is a busy office, and staff can be rather busy, I had an excellent experience with Dr. Boyd. He had time to answer all of my questions and concerns. When I was hesitant about the exact amount of correction that I needed (it can be hard to tell which image is just slightly better or just slightly fuzzier in any eye exam), AND I was the last surgery of the day, AND I was nervous, Dr. Boyd took all the time in the world to talk me through it, and to re-measure my prescribed correction in order to quell my fears. I went into the surgery more confident. He was very professional and caring. When my toddler hit me in the eye (on two different occasions) in the weeks following surgery, Dr. Boyd squeezed me into his schedule to take a quick look to see that no damage was done. I would happily recommend Dr. Boyd.
I had a great result and appreciated the professional courteous care given to me by Dr Boyd and his staff. The initial assessment was thorough with options well explained; surgery took about 45 mins and all follow up visits were comprehensive and included in the price. The staff was always available by telephone to answer questions as was Dr. Boyd himself. I have no problem recommending this business for eyesight evaluation, care and surgery.
Please go somewhere else. I do not recommend this doctor at all! He under corrected my left eye, now my eyes hurt, they are sensitive to light, super dry, and I'm scared he is going to mess up my vision by operating again. They are understaffed, you have to wait for an hour every time you have an appointment. Machines are old and don't work properly. Really disappointed with the results
Amazing doctors but this place overbooks like crazy. Worth the wait I guess
I am very pleased with the LASIK eye surgery performed by Dr. Boyd assisted by his staff. From the careful testing to determine whether I would benefit from the surgery to the re-evaluation just prior to surgery to the surgery itself and the careful follow up afterwards Dr. Boyd and his staff have provided excellent care.
They do a good job but you are just a credit card with a number on it. No friendliness, and so many robocalls. 9 months later update. Vision is perfect, even with my previous astigmatism. No flares or halos, and I am just putting in eye drops because I feel I should, not because my eyes are dry. To be fair, when I started, it was the middle of the pandemic and I am sure it was a stressful time. Now I feel it is getting back to their normal, a much more friendly environment. Definitely recommend!
Dr. Boyd is a top notch professional. I came into his busy clinic and he put his day on hold to deal with my emergency and got me into surgery that night. I can not imagine the stress a doctor must be under when delivering top notch professional care to all their regular patients and then all of a sudden an emergency like me shows up. He made me feel at ease and right away I knew I was in good hands. Thank you so much Dr. Boyd.
