It was a great experience! It took about 4 minutes overall and prep time about 45 minutes and 10 minutes to wait after! Still recovering but the recovery isn’t as bad as it seems :)

My wife was referred to the Burlington Laser Eye Centre by a very happy patient. Once she had both of her surgeries there, I got brave enough to get my one eye done that required their attention. I’m so glad I did as my sight is 100% better, and from day one I have not had any issues or discomfort. The staff there are very professional. They explain everything in detail, and pay very close attention to one’s needs. thank you. I’ll be back when my other eye needs to be fixed. :)

Referred to this clinic by my optometrist. Knowledgeable, helpful and supportive staff relieved my nervousness, imbued confidence, and the whole experience was easy, quick and highly satisfying. From the receptionist, technicians, nurses, anesthesiologist, to the doctor, all was very professional. Much advance information is provided, questions clearly answered, ( emailed ones responded to in a timely way), and a tracking sheet for drops was a godsend. I appreciated getting new lenses that were custom designed for my eyes, health status, and lifestyle needs. Thank you for a great experience!

Burlington Laser Eye Centre fixed the cataracts on both of my eyes. The staff are very professional and kind. They clearly explained everything that they were going to do. They were very responsive to my needs to get the procedure done as quickly as possible. I felt very relaxed about trusting my eyes to their care. They did both eyes on the same day and after two days of recovering from surgery I could see perfectly for the first time in 52 years. I am very happy.

I have had vitrectomy surgery for intrusive PVD floaters coupled with cataract surgery simultaneously, last November and again this February. After four years of visual torture, I now have floater-free, clear vision. The combined teams of VRM and Burlington Laser have returned good vision too me. I wish I had paid more attention to the negative reviews on here and heeded their advice. My surgery was November 23, 2019, to remove cataracts, correct distance vision and astigmatism in both eyes. Cost of this service was $5,800 which had to be paid in full upfront. I was told that I would no longer need glasses for distance but would need them for reading and computer time, which is a big part of my life, and would result in ultimately requiring glasses anyway as it is a nuisance to be taking them on and off again. Because I would be wearing glasses anyway, I did not need the additional astigmatism correction lens put in by Burlington Laser Eye Clinic at a much increased price. My post-surgery test showed that I still had astigmatism in my right eye so a second surgery was scheduled for April 23rd. In the meantime Covid-19 delayed all surgeries but I had been told by their Dr. Fong that I would have to have it done before 6 months or it is "more difficult to correct and has a reduced success rate." When the clinic reopened for business they said they could fit me in for July, which would have been 8 months. At this point I had lost confidence in their ability to correct the surgery even though Dr. Emara, the original surgeon, told me that he had often corrected them even after a year!!! I asked for a refund for the cost of the astigmatism lens in my right eye and the clinic flatly refused. It seems their version of guarantee means that you have to be agreeable to subsequent correction surgeries. I had been agreeable to the correction surgery within the six month period and l was completely agreeable to pay for the cataract removal, the distance Vision in both eyes and the astigmatism lens in my left eye, in other words I was willing to pay for the goods and services I received. My advice: if you have astigmatism you are going to probably want to wear glasses anyway so have the astigmatism correction in your glasses prescription. Do not pay the extra thousands of dollars for a lens that is subject to mismeasurement and miscalculation.

I decided to get myself Lasik for Christmas and I couldn't be happier. After being recommended by my optometrist and a former patient I decided to go for it. The day of the procedure everything went very smooth and quickly. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and helped people calm down and get ready for the procedure. Dr. Machat was terrific, he explained everything before and during the procedure, he talked through it and kept reassuring me that everything was going just "Perfect". The whole thing was about 5 minutes and as soon as it was over I could see clearly. Start to finish I don't think this could have gone any better. I recommended it to a couple friends and co-workers and 2 of them have already gone in for it since. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Personally I dont recommend this place at all. I went in for a consultation, and I did not have a pleasant experience with the surgical coordinator. I expected them to answer my questions so I feel comfortable getting my laser surgery there. However, this coordinator kept dodging my questions and asking me to go to their website. What ticked me off was that she said "I am only here half an hour, if I just answer questions here, I would not have time to get other things done'. WORD FOR WORD! One potential client may mean nothing to them, but I just want to say they just lost $4500.

Prior to my surgery day I was extremely nervous, but upon my arrival the staff made me feel very comfortable and reassured that I would be in excellent hands. The surgery itself took less than 10 mins and the aftercare was fairly straightforward, overall a great experience!

I had spoken to my optometrist about the possibility of having LASIK eye surgery and she had recommended The Burlington Laser Eye Centre. I had a phone call for a consultation the next day and was seen a week after, my first impression of the place was the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. My meeting with Dr. Fong was extremely detailed and to the point, she explained the procedure and the risks involved and answered any medical I had (and I had ALOT). Kelly was extremely polite and made sure that I clearly understood the discussion I had with Dr. Fong. She explained all of the pre-operative instructions as well as what to expect post surgery. I did not feel rushed, or pressured at any point during my consultation. A few weeks later I was in for Surgery and was not at all disappointed! Dr. Emara was very personable, friendly and made sure I understood the process. The nurse in the back always had a conversation going so I never felt nervous. Thank you Alison, Kelly, Dr. Fong, Dr. Emara and the rest of the staff at The Burlington Laser Eye Centre! I will recommend everyone I know to the clinic!

My recent experience with RLE here was a very positive one and do recommend to anybody seeking services from this location. From the consultation thru the surgery and post op visits all exceptional. All staff from reception, nursing, and doctors were pleasant, professional and efficient. The procedure itself is absolutely painless overall an excellent experience.

My hand was treated like a pin cushion with the iv needle which caused me to scream - 3 times. I was told by a nurse to stop screaming because "I was scaring the other patients" :S . Then I was told they'd given me the anesthetics. When I announced the second time I wasn't feeling any effects they told me to "just chill". Sorry you're about to slice open my eyeball - I'm gonna need those drugs to work and they are not. Turned out they hadn't been administered yet they were just trying to calm me down. Not calm at this point - the opposite. While doing the surgery I felt something in my eye so I lifted my head towards the scalpel (a reflex) and was told I wasn't supposed to move. Egad!!! I moved involuntarily, my head should have been strapped down so I couldn't move. They had to hold me down to finish the operation. Absolute panic! Took me 48 hours to calm down. Now I can see perfectly so the surgeon was good at least. Sadly I have another eye that needs the cataract removed :(

From Consultation to surgery to Post Op appointments. All staff were all really nice. In the info pack you receive it has everything in it for info on Surgery pre and post op, to info on the Surgeon you will have. Very informative. On surgery day I felt at ease, from the Girl at reception right through to the Nurses and Dr Choudray. I had RLE Surgery, it makes some difference. Not having to put Contacts in everyday. I would definitely recommend Burlington Laser Eye Centre.

My experience was fantastic. All information given before, all questions answered, given something like MAR sheets, and time table for 4 weeks after surgery, and a few days before as well. Making the decision to have Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE) was a big one. The staff of Burlington Laser Eye Centre helped reinforce my decision. From your first encounter with Krista at the front desk to your surgeon and all of the support staff . Please avoid this place. The registering doctor, not the surgeon is very sterile/cold. Did not appreciate me being in the room while she assessed my husband. She was very through. Me taking notes to my husbands questions I suppose she did not like. Then the appointment person, she acted like we were 3. Kept asking us where we lived, where our eye doctor was. She was lost and could not answer questions. We had already checked out the biographies of the 2 surgeons. We knew the difference between what "private v. Ohip was." We had already read about risks and complications. We were just part of a line, not people. Then we asked about if there were complications she said we would have to back to the optometrist. I look at her straight and said "5 days post op and you cut us loose." She did not understand the question and had no idea what she was doing. No doctor that visits a clinic 2 x per month will cut on my husband's eye without through backup in case of emergency. It is obvious they are used to dealing with Seniors that do not do research and dont ask tough questions. They just want you $. Please avoid.

Everyone at the Centre, right from the front desk all the way through to the surgeon, was very professional, warm, and caring. I was exceptionally nervous and they all went out of their way to put me at ease. Having both eyes done at the same time meant that 3 days later I was driving with 20/20 vision...priceless! I chose the Centre because of a previous retinal tear and I wanted a retinal specialist to perform the cataract surgery. Dr. Choudhry came highly recommended and did not disappoint.
