Hi, Yes I am in your system , multiple visits and one surgery, July 2020 - Feb 2021 . I expressed my disappointments with Raeann, Rachel, and Dr.Blaylock, they know all the details. Vision blurred since post rle operation. Dr. Blaylock told me pre operation that I would only have two issues , halos at night and more light for close reading if dim environment. I had no issues accepting these two . I repeatedly asked if my perfect far vision would be affected, he said no. I now have near sight double vision and blurred far vision, but since I pass his 20/20 exam , I'm 'perfect', thats its 'in my head' , 'that it may take 5 yrs to improve ' . I was not told this. I was told no issues, will be good after 2 days. Its been now 1.5 years. Service was great before payment. But after $13,000 payment, poor, I had to chase them for follow ups. I've been let down by Dr. Blaylock. Reached out to him in past but just feeds me same thing. Nothing wrong. I tried on yesterday my friends mild prescription glasses for distance, and wow, what an improvement, I can recognize faces and read signs . But Dr. Blaylock has told me not to wear glasses, I understand, that defeats the purpose of his rle operation, can't really trust his words after selling me his rle.

It's always scary when someone is working on your eyes, but Dr. Blaylock has such a smooth calming manner that I felt comfortable instantly. Had a great experience with VLEC. Customer service was awesome. Everybody there is really nice and made me feel calm and confident about the surgery and recovery. Answered all the concerns that I had no matter how many times I called with dumb questions. Dr. Blaylock is very thoughtful of the patients needs and helped me choose the perfect procedure for me eyes despite being able to endorse a much costlier surgery. Skill-wise Blaylock is an optical wizard and did the surgery so well that at a point it was almost enjoyable. In hindsight, it seems ridiculous to be worried going into such a routine procedure, mind you this only goes for Valley Laser as I certainly wouldn't trust any of those other hack job surgeons with my vision. Overall I am very happy with the results and my double Refractive Lensectomy with multifocal LentisM IOLs. I was quite nervous as my eyes were very healthy -- just very myopic at -6.75. I felt as if I was taking a big risk but I just got to the point of frustration spending so much time each day juggling contacts and glasses. Dr Blaylock and all his assistants were very kind and professional except one assistant who was in charge of helping find the right lens prescription. She seemed always in a hurry and even laughed at a critical question just days before surgery. I considered cancelling the surgery because of her, but I ignored her and just remembered my positive reassurances with Dr Blaylock. A year later I have 20/20 near, in-between and almost 20/20 for distance. Dr Blaylock explained this sacrifice that I had to make as my eyes were not the right shape to expect 20/20 at distance. The advantage of the Lentis B lens is no halos for night driving. I can drive safely without contacts but choose to use them for extra safety. Mostly I prefer to drive with sunglasses with a -.75 prescription in my left eye which gets me to 20/20. I live in Arizona so I prefer to drive with sunglasses all the time so this is no big deal. When hiking and shopping, etc I prefer to use a -.75 contact lens as well. Around the house all day, I wear no contacts and see very well. Even with a contact in my left eye I can read most small type while shopping, etc. With no contacts, I can read most very small type if the light is good. My only warning is that for driving that it seems as if my blind spots have increased. I am not certain about this as it may be that my brain is still adjusting to my new eyes. After several near accidents, I now just take extra caution getting out of my driveway and changing lanes, always assuming that I may be missing something. Also, cars with lights on at sunset or night always appear a bit further than they really are, so I am teaching my brain to spend an extra half second to calculate the distance of traffic. I believe both these driving issues will wane over time as Dr Blaylock says that most of the adjustments need to happen in the brain over time. This is my experience.

It's been 6 months since surgery and I can still see!! This place is first class. I live in Abbotsford, so the appointments were very convenient, but I would choose Valley Laser even if I lived far away. I rarely had to sit in the waiting room for long at any of my appointments (5 minutes or less) unlike most doctor offices. Everything went very smoothly with my PRK surgery and I felt I was well cared for the entire time. I didn't feel pressured into the surgery at my first consultation either. I would recommend Valley Laser Eye Centre to any of my family or friends.

Dr. Blaylock explained clearly the various options and procedures, was very forthcoming about the pros and cons on them all and priced all the options so his profit is the same and he can't be biased to sell one over the other. He genuinely allows his patients to make their own decisions for their own preferences empowered by the facts. The initial consults and surgery and follow ups were great, the recovery lasted a little longer than I would have hoped (I chose PRK) but was made aware of the potential side effects. Cataracts progressed quickly and was disrupting my ability to work. Covid had bumped the dates out 18 months. VLEC under tight covid related precautions was able to schedule me in, my eyesight has been restored, and is better than ever. Dr Blaylock writes scientific papers that tell other doctors how to do a better, more precise and successful job.This gives a hint of the quality of the work done. My surgery went well, with my vision changing form about 20/30 to 20/15. I now lose focus at about 1 meter, so while I need inexpensive multi-focus reading glasses, they are the mildest kind. On a bright day I can read my iPhone screen. That's pretty darn good. At our follow-up interview, I told the good doctor that this was the best $11,000 I've ever spent. I still agree.

I woke up this morning, the day after my ICL surgery, feeling as though I was in a different body. I rolled over to look at my alarm clock and to my astonishment, I could see the time imprinted on it in astonishing detail without squinting or putting on my glasses. I went to have a shower and immediately noticed that I could read the shampoo bottles without bringing them an inch away from my face. These are the types of experiences I get to have (and more) now that I've completed my eye surgery. Like everyone, I was nervous, like REALLY nervous. Not only me but my entire family. I'd be approached regularly by different family members telling me "Oh! My Mom's friend's friend had laser eye surgery done and now she has dry eyes" or "I know a guy who had Lasik done and they wouldn't recommend it" all of these comments followed by the "You shouldn't get the surgery done, Jesse, you're making a terrible decision!". All of this compounded at the idea (in the back of my head) of possibly going blind. In practice, with today's modern practices and medicine, the chances of having any of these side effects are INCREDIBLY rare. Even if they were possible, they would be spotted during the many pre and post exams and more than likely corrected before they get worse. The moment I entered the clinic for my surgery time, I was immediately put at ease. Every single staff member from the front desk reception, to the nurses, operating area staff, to the surgeon's assistants and to the surgeon himself (Dr Blaylock) do a phenomenal job at putting your mind at ease. They are all incredibly calm, knowledgeable and friendly. Blaylock was incredible during the quick 7 minute per eye procedure. Throughout the procedure, in the calmest and most soothing voice, he would constantly be saying "You're doing great, Jesse" "Everything is going well""Great job, yes, keep it up". The surgery went by fast and I didn't feel a thing. You don't even see the instruments being brought up to your eye either as you're focusing on a very bright light the entire time. All you have to do is follow the gentle directions from Blaylock during the surgery. While the most premium option and not exactly cheap, I would still highly recommend ICL to anyone. While, Lasik and PRK are still options, there are several reasons why ICL is superior to both of those (if you're eligible for it). Do your research on EVO Visian ICL or visit VLEC's website if you're interested in learning the benefits. Isn't using our eyes the way they're meant to be used and sharper, clearer vision worth the cost increase? The reviews speak for themselves. Blaylock and his team are a world renowned surgical team who operate on people all around the world. Do yourself a favor and choose Valley Laser Eye Centre for your eye surgery consultation and surgery. You've got nothing to lose by booking a consultation. If you do choose to go ahead with any of the surgeries, be prepared for your life to be changed.

VLEC slotted me in within a few weeks and I had the surgery in June. My vision is now 20/20 in both eyes, and Dr Blaylock and his team were fantastic--reassuring, told me exactly what to expect during the procedure, and exhibited the utmost in professionalism. My feeling is that paying VLEC for the surgery instead of waiting for an MSP-funded procedure was well worth it.

I travelled all over the world (Seattle, Shanghai, Singapore) and also spoked with Doctors from Switzerland, Germany and Texas to finally end up finding Dr. Blaylock. I've done extensive research and visited offices in person. After being told I wasn't able to get any sort of refractive surgery due to a cornea issue in one eye - Dr. Blaylock came up with an ingenious way help me out. I ended up doing PRK in one eye and a Custom ICL in the other and the results couldn't have been better. On top of that, he and his staff are the most caring, genuine people I have met in my year-long journey to fix my eyesight. I've shed so many happy tears at VLE. I love the people and it was well worth the 16 hours of flying and driving to get here! In addition, I recommend any American with Astigmatism and considering ICL to come here. Canada has the newest lenses that we cannot get in the US. The prices are already cheaper and the exchange rates give US $ an extra discount.

Two weeks have passed since my RLE surgery with Dr. Blaylock. I can not adequately express my gratitude or understate how impressed I was with Dr. Blaylock himself, his staff and the facility as a whole. I opted for the latest in multifocal lenses and the result has been frankly unbelievable. The only way that I can describe it adequately is to say that I feel that I have my teenage eyes back (I'm now 52). These lenses have completely corrected my near vision (my biggest problem), mid and long vision. Two days after surgery I was using my phone, reading, driving without any issues at all. I just had a two week post-surgery check up with my optometrist who described both my vision and the quality of the procedure as "perfect". He also quipped that he was not surprised since there's no one better than Dr. Blaylock, who performed his lasik operation years ago. I enthusiastically recommend Dr. Blaylock, Valley Laser Eye Centre and multifocal RLE surgery for anyone that is ready to happily toss your glasses away for life.

A great experience, staff is wonderful and very supportive, they get back to you quickly on any e-mails and give you clear information so you know exactly what is going on. Dr. Blaylock explains everything clearly and doesn't rush you through anything, he listens patiently and seems like he really cares. I had both eyes done with refractive lens replacement and couldn't be happier. The procedure was painless and even the same day after the surgery my eyes were only slightly sore and the next day didn't have any irritation. The second day my vision started clearing (first day things are still settling in) and I could read an ingredient label, the third day most of the light-sensitivity was gone and I could read the extra-fine print on a pill bottle! I highly recommend this business!

I had both of my lenses replaced and wanting perfect vision, I chose the best lenses money could buy. Although Covid 19 made things more difficult I was not impressed that I never received my follow up after a few months. After experiencing headaches I called Valley Laser eye centre and requested an exam and was told to visit my local optometrist. After being transferred to a technician it was determined that I had not had my follow up exam. It turned out that I did have a prescription in my one eye. I had the eye resurfaced with a laser and it is better but not perfect. I was responsible for paying for the prescriptions again and another 2 eye exams and now have to request a refund for the second eye exam. You would think that for $11,000.00 you would receive better service. Overall I'm not sure if it was worth doing.

I had my ICL implants done a year ago. I had severe myopia and astigmatism in both eyes and was not a lasik candidate. My vision is now 20/20 without correction. The only down side, is that I still have hallows around lights at night. In all my interactions with Dr. Blaylock and his staff, I found them to be cheerful, attentive, and, above all, professional. As a result of these interactions, I was confident, if not totally relaxed, on the day of surgery. My confidence was well placed. Again, I found Dr. Blaylock and his staff cheerful, attentive, professional and, importantly, reassuring, throughout the preop, the procedure, and the postop. The results of the surgery were and are amazing. Upon leaving the clinic the vision in my left eye was better than I ever remember it being, even with glasses. Now, four days later, the vision in my right eye is almost as good as in my left eye and my binocular vision astounds me. I see detail and experience depth in tree bark and stones I have never noticed before. In summary, I am absolutely delighted with my experience with Dr. Blaylock and the results of the surgery. Life-changing! I'm a 53 yr old male who was experiencing presbyopia in both eyes, as well as a cataract in my left eye. Dr. Blaylock recommended Refractive Lens Exchange surgery, which I underwent in January 2021. Eight months later, I couldn't be more pleased. I'm a biologist, which requires me to often conduct fieldwork and then record measurements. Prior to the surgery, I required reading glasses for any up-close work, so I was constantly taking them on and off. I would frequently lose them or break them. Now I can read even fine print with no glasses, and can still see great at distance. The only draw-back that I experienced was mild halos on headlights or streetlights at night, but this effect has decreased considerably since the surgery. I would definitely recommend this surgery for anyone experiencing presbyopia that is a candidate, especially if you are an avid reader or do lots of work close-up.
